Genesect
Moves: Iron Head is our main stab move and it can break through most Pokemon. Extreme Speed is an important element of what makes Genesect so great, allowing it to cleanly sweep against offense and deal with major threats. Thunderbolt is a nifty coverage move that I really like in this current meta. The best check to Genesect (besides Heatran) is Toxapex and that thing is everywhere right now. Thunderbolt helps Genesect deal with it pretty easily and remove it. You can also run Blaze Kick for things like Melmetal, but I’ve really been enjoying Thunderbolt lately. U-Turn is the last move for this set, letting Genesect pivot around the opponent’s team and chip away at it.
Spread: Max attack with a Choice Band helps Genesect deal out some great damage with its stab moves. Max speed with a Naive nature helps Genesect take advantage of its decent speed tier. It’s certainly not the fastest Pokemon, but it will outspeed the things it needs to. Download is a broken ability, boosting either Genesect’s attack or special attack by one stage based on the foe’s weaker defense stat. I’m so glad Genesect is the only Pokemon to get this ability.
Team Support/Usage: Genesect is a fantastic offensive threat that can fit on most teams. It can chip the opponent’s team with U-Turn in the early game, break through walls in the mid-game, and can sweep in the late game with Extreme Speed. Genesect is just ridiculous. Obviously, it works best on offense, but you can really use it on anything that’s not stall. As far as teammates go, Genesect is fairly self-sufficient. The main thing it will appreciate are other U-Turn/Volt Switch users that can form a Volt-Turn core with Genesect. Hazard support that will help Gensect break and sweep the opponent’s team, also. Lastly, Genesect appreciates a team member who can pressure Heatran. Back in the day, I loved pairing Surf Latios with Genesect. Anymore I would use something like Focus Blast Magearna.

So I just realized the move High Horsepower in Spanish is Fuerza Equina, which translates to "horsepower."
However,
If you translate it literally, it means "horse force" and I dunno, I just think that's hilarious.
#pokemon#moveset#moves#pokemon moveset#mudsdale#horsepower#spanish#rhyming#rhyme#that's what it should have been called

Ok so... question. What would be the best moveset for a Jolteon in Sun and Moon with a Modest nature, has Thunderbolt and Shadowball (also maybe volt switch) and CANNOT learn Hidden Power, Signal Beam, or Magnet Rise? I need a fourth move that will work well enough...

Pokemon Set of the Day- Vikavolt (TBD): (As requested by anonymous) Pokemon Sun and Moon definitely pushed Bug types in a big way, and Vikavolt is one of the many buzzing their way into the metagame! This hard hitting cannon of a Pokemon is ready to light enemies up! Vikavolt @ Choice Specs Ability: Levitate EVs: 36 HP / 252 SpA / 220 Spe Modest Nature - Thunderbolt - Bug Buzz - Volt Switch - Hidden Power [Grass] - Vikavolt is one of the hardest hitting Pokemon given to us in Sun and Moon, and this moveset looks to abuse this trait. Maximum Special Attack EV investment along a Choice Specs item allows Vikavolt to hit as hard as possible. The Speed EV investment allows Vikavolt to out speed uninvested Skarmory with the rest of the investment essentially put into HP for additional bulk. - Thunderbolt is the Electric type STAB move of choice, dealing accurate and solid damage to the opposing Pokemon. Bug Buzz is the Bug type STAB move of choice, for the same reasons Thunderbolt is so effective. Volt Switch grants Vikavolt switch initiative, allowing switch momentum and escapes from poor matchups. Hidden Power Grass is the Hidden Power type I opted for. Hidden Power Ice is useful for hitting threats such as Landorus-T and Garchomp, but against Pokemon such stall matchups using Pokemon such as Quagsire or Gastrodon Hidden Power Grass will be significantly better. - Vikavolt is slow, everyone knows it and this weakness has been talked about to death online. The moveset I proposed is primarily for wallbreaking, however Trick Room options are available to deal with this shortcoming better. There's also a bit of a bulk issue, and normally while Vikavolt's bulk wouldn't be too much of an issue it's not enough bulk to justify Vikavolt's poor Speed stat. Outside of a Trick Room/Wallbreaker option, Galvantula will most likely grant better results due to a better Speed stat and a bit better utility moveset. Vikavolt best pairs with Pokemon such as Heatran, Terrakion, Rotom-W and Slowbro make for good partners to cover Vikavolt's weaknesses. How did you like this set? Have a Pokemon you want me to make a set for? Let me know!

Hawlucha
Moves: High Jump Kick and Acrobatics make up a fantastic dual stab combination, hitting the vast majority of Pokemon for at least neutral damage. Acrobatics gets boosted once Hawlucha burns whichever terrain seed it’s running. Swords Dance boosts Hawlucha’s already decent attack stat by two stages, helping it perform consistent sweeps. Roost makes it easier to set-up Swords Dances and deal with priority moves. It also helps you take on Pokemon who might try to stall you out. Since Hawlucha’s dual stab is already so great, it really doesn’t need any coverage moves.
Spread: Max attack with an Adamant nature help Hawlucha hit as hard as possible. 124 Speed EVs helps Hawlucha outspeed Jolly Excadrill, effectively making it the fastest Pokemon in OU with the Unburden boost. Put the rest of the EVs into HP, since the other stats don’t really matter and it will help with setting-up a Swords Dance. Unburden is a fantastic ability, doubling Hawlucha’s speed when Hawlucha burns its item. To go with this, Hawlucha should run one of the Terrain Seeds (Electric Seed, Grassy Seed, Psychic Seed) which boosts one of its defensive stats when its corresponding terrain is active.
Team Support/Usage: Hawlucha is a terrific sweeper, capable of clearing out entire teams once its checks have been weakened. Utilize hazards and wallbreakers to weaken the opponents, and then lure in a Pokemon which Hawlucha can set-up on while the terrain is active. Usually, if a Hawlucha can set-up an SD or two and get the Unburden boost you’ll win that game. I’m personally a big fan of setting up on Lando-T, as it’s usually the opponents main physical check on offense. As such, Hawlucha needs to be partnered with one of the Tapus to set up their Terrain. Additionally, Hawlucha greatly appreciates hazard support for wearing down the opponents team. Lastly, I am quite a fan of putting Hawlucha on rain teams because of the natural synergy Mega Swampert and Hawlucha have.

Defensive Charizard
- Protect
-Roost
-Will-o-Wisp
-Dragon Tail
Blaze/Solar Power
Leftovers
252 HP, 252 Def, 4 Spe
This is basically just a phazing status set. With a Will-o-Wisp up, Charizard’s rather mediocre defenses can actually survive things. So that’s fun.

I need some suggestions and also an item for my physical Tapu Koko. 4 hp/252 atk/252 spe -roost -work-up -u-turn -wild charge This set is very similar to the dragon dance mega Charizard X I run in ORAS. Set up, then roost and sweep.

Starmie is looking like a really good pokemon for battle royales. Spec for speed and special attack, set up with three minimize then burn with dazzling gleam and psyshock with recover just in case you take a hit and survive it. So I guess that would mean: Starmie @ Psychium Z Trait: Natural Cure EVs: 4 Def / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk) Psyshock Dazzling Gleam Minimize Recover
