Note
Your SpongeBob yandere headacanons has inspired into getting more yandere stuff and saw some ppl posting their headcanon so I wanted to post mine that are abt plankton
•I see plankton as kind of an manipulative yandere, he treats his darling like how he treats the secret formula in a way where he just constantly thinks about them, sometimes they just ignore what anyone is saying to him just to think about how he’ll win his darling’s heart with some kind of ridiculous
•And the darling would be kind of aware of this since plankton doesn’t exactly hide it.. uncomfortably aware of it
•plankton indulges in a whole lot of stalking, he mainly stalks them from the restraunt’s massive telescope or some kind of weird robot that has a camera in it, he just has the weirdest ways to make sure he can pay attention to his darling
•I think the darling probably has a lot of friends and plankton would be super jealous easily considering his hate for other people (or other fishes I guess?) and would constantly complain about them either to himself or to Karen, he usually complains about one of their friends not actually being good enough for their darling and how they don’t rlly need them all that much
•It’s kind of gone to a point where the darling hides in the krusty krab a lot since the krusty crew usually protects them especially SpongeBob and Mr krabs, which plankton isn’t exactly pleased about and sees it as krabs trying to steal their love from them considering him and krab’s history together
•I definitely don’t think squidward rlly cares all that much unlike with SpongeBob and krabs who go out of there way to make sure the reader is safe from plankton
•But still he’s very hard to escape from, He always finds a way to see you, and it’s very hard to know if he’s watching you or not, he could be in a cookie or in a Krabby patty or a bug on your shoulder who knows if he wanted to he could make a weird disguise or robot to keep tabs on you and there’s a chance you wouldn’t even know it’s there
•he also does indulge in kidnapping the reader as well, either from their home or from the krusty krab, you could be just casually be eating a krabby patty or sitting at home doing work and then out of nowhere you’re suddenly being kidnapped by a tiny green mad organism and sometimes his computer wife if she feels like actually helping
•he’s definitely a tad delusional honestly, he cannot grasp the idea of his darling not actually liking him or trying to avoid or just generally not fitting his ideal version of them in his head, And just blamed his darling not being around him on Mr krabs or any of the reader’s friends
•I definitely think in instances where plankton’s schemes work in his favor like in the SpongeBob square movie where he does genuinely take over the world he constantly keeps you by his side while being mind controlled by the hats, in-fact you we’re probably the first to be mind controlled, because you can’t exactly say no to his love when you’re being mind controlled
•he also constantly tries to impress his darling a lot mainly by flaunting his plans or showing himself off when he’s doing one of his schemes, tho telling the reader his plans usually doesn’t work out for him very well since the reader ends up telling Mr krabs ahead of time what plankton is planning today
I’m sorry if not a lot of these make a whole lot of sense I get nervous about writing sometimes and I’m mainly trying to improve a lot since English is not my first language, and also sorry for having a word choice like plankton 😭 I just really like the idea of him being a yandere considering his personality
YES! Yandere Plankton finally exists! It is a glorious day, and I thank you!

♡ START OVER AGAIN — HAE-JO / CHAE SEUNGHYEOK
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
hae-jo x fem!reader | wc : 0.8k words | content : possible grammar and spelling mistakes, lowercase intended, exes to lovers, swearing, hurt/comfort, mild angst | request : heyy!! i wanted to ask you, have you watched mr. plankton? and if so, can you write something on woo do hwan in it? i don’t mind if its angst or sad or anything!!
Tumblr media
“you’ve got to be fucking kidding me.”
you cursed lowly, breath hitching in your chest as your gaze met the pretty brown eyes of the man who dumped you after almost five years of dating.
hae-jo’s eyes widened as they fell on you, not having expected in a million years that you were the bride he was commissioned to kidnap from your own wedding.
you cursed your sister in your head, knowing she was the one who insisted on handling everything, assuring you she’d get you out of marrying a guy your father had chosen for you.
“are you just gonna stand there?” hae-jo tried to remain nonchalant, not wanting to show that the sight of you in a beautiful wedding dress was doing things to his heart, even though it had been three years since you guys broke up. “or are you going to get inside the car?”
i’ll just get in the car and get away from the wedding. you told yourself, trying not to focus on the fact that your ex-boyfriend was the one assisting you in running away from your own wedding. i’ll figure the rest out later.
you got into his car, the blue jeep you were overly familiar with, without another word, clicking the seatbelt into place as you closed your eyes momentarily.
hae-jo kept glancing at you as he drove away from the wedding venue, unable to tear his gaze away. how was it that you still looked so beautiful even after three years? the drive was a long one, and he wondered if he should make conversation.
“you look beautiful, y/n.” he confessed softly, the words tumbling out of his mouth before he could stop himself. “it’s a shame you won’t get married in that dress.”
you sighed quietly, your mind whirling with various thoughts. one moment he was nonchalant, and the next moment he was soft — it never failed to give you whiplash.
hae-jo knew why you were quiet, yet he still couldn’t stop himself from asking the questions that entered his mind. “why are you running away from your own wedding? i heard the guy’s rich. is he not your type?” he blabbered, his gaze shifting between you and the road.
“i’m not gonna marry some guy just because he’s rich, hae-jo.” the way you said his name was enough of an indication that he messed up. “i’m not some gold digger.”
“no, no. i didn’t mean it like that.” hae-jo intervened quickly, wincing as he realized you misunderstood him. “you know i didn’t, y/n. i know you aren’t like that. i just … i don’t know. i thought you’d have settled down by now. that’s all.”
you sighed softly, looking out of the window. “the guy i wanted to settle down with dumped me. what was i supposed to do then?” you blurted, never the one to keep your thoughts to yourself.
it was one of hae-jo's favorite traits about you; your honest bluntness.
“seriously? you never moved on? is that what you are saying?” hae-jo found himself stopping the car on the side of the road once they were far enough, turning to look at you. “you deserved better, y/n. you deserved better than me.”
“i didn’t want better, hae-jo.” you met his gaze hesitantly, your heart beating faster when you looked into his eyes. “i wanted you.”
hae-jo felt like the air was knocked out of his lungs at your blunt confession. he couldn’t help but resonate with your words, feeling the same. he hadn’t moved on either, stuck on you even if it had been years since you two had broken up.
“do you, uh…” hae-jo spoke up quietly, averting his gaze from her nervously. “do you still, maybe perhaps, want me?”
you froze, blinking. you hadn’t heard him properly, right? there was no way that he was going to ask you to get back with him, right? you couldn’t help but feel a little bit excited, although you also felt a bit frustrated — after all, he was the one who left first.
you stared at him for a few moments. “do you really mean that?” you responded, your voice wavering slightly.
hae-jo contemplated his words before he nodded. it was a lot to think about, but as he saw you, no problem seemed too big to overcome. he knew he could get through anything if he had you by his side.
“yeah, i do. i want to start over again. with you.” he uttered with a soft yet confident smile. “what say, shall we start over again, y/n?”
you met his gaze, smiling as you listened to his words. starting over again. that sounded nice. as messy as it was, you figured that running away from your wedding day just to get back together with your ex-boyfriend might just be the change you needed in your life.
“i’d like that very much, hae-jo. i’d like to start over again too. with you.”

Sunshine (Mr. Plankton)
Tumblr media
“Why do you still wear that”?
“Huh”
“Why do you still wear that thing on your finger mija”?
“Mamá can we not do this right now I still have to go to work” I asked letting out a tired sign she clicked her tongue in protest but didn’t make a move to saying anything more making do a little happy dance in my head.
“When’s papá getting home” “he should be here in a few minutes” “alright mamà tell him I said I love you” I said kissing her on her cheek before rushing out the door.
It’s 7:00 am now which means the bus should be coming in ten minutes I thought to myself as I rushed to the bus stop and just as predicted 7:10 on the dot the bus pulls up.
Once I’m finally situated on the bus I can finally relax for the next 30 minutes until I get to the hospital but as I sit on the bus I started wondering about what my mother said earlier about me wearing my ring. Truth be told I should’ve been taken it off and locked it somewhere never to be seen again but I feel like it’s the last thing I have of him it’s the one thing still tying us together despite the fact it’s been two long years since I’ve seen him.
7:40 we should be approaching the hospital right about now and just as I thought that I felt the bus jerk to a stop once I was off I speed walked my way in to the hospital doors knowing I have 20 minutes to get to the nurses stations so that night shift can be left off.
“Okay so Mr.kim still needs to monitored closely last night we tried giving him some water but he immediately threw that up” Jennie the night shift explained to me “okay I’ll give some ginger ale I’ll see how he does with that” I exclaimed while looking over the notes she took since last night.
(Sorry if that doesn’t make sense I was making it up as a wrote)
“I don’t know how you do it” Yuri another nurse aka my best friend said as she hurriedly made sure to get to her seat before the head nurse saw that she was late. “What don’t you get, the fact that I’m on time for work even though I live further than you do” I said with slight smirk o my face causing Yuri to hit my arm quite hard turning my smirk into a glare while I rubbed my arm.
“That and the fact that your so bright and sunny in the morning it honestly makes me want to punch you” Yuri told me with a pout on her face “wow” was all I could as I looked at her “I don’t have to start my rounds yet but would you feel better if I got you and iced americano” just as soon as those words left my mouth Yuri pout turned into a smile so big it could rival the sun making me narrow my eyes at her because not to long did she want to punch me for being happy in the morning “yes please” Yuri grinned at me as I rolled my eyes at her playfully before getting up and making my way down towards the cafe.
As I made my way to the computer to order two ice coffee’s I realized I left my wallet in my locker making me release a frustrated breath at the fact that I had to go all the way back upstairs.
“Oh back already” Yuri said popping out of nowhere scaring me but as she scanned my figure she frowned once she saw I didn’t have anything in my hands “hey-” “relax I’m going to get my wallet from the locker you brat” i spoke as I walked passed her leaving Yuri to grumble under her breath.
Finally retrieving my card I make my way back downstairs to head to the cafe again from the corner of my eye I catch a glimpse of a male that almost seemed to look li- no I shook my head at myself for even thinking of that idea I must be more tired than I thought I really didn’t get any sleep last night lately for some reason I’ve been feeling really anxious out of nowhere like somethings coming but I just didn’t know what
And oh how right I was.
(Alright I’m going to end it here and I just want to make a few things clear y/n will be half Korean and half Mexican you’ll learn a little bit more about her parents in the story and absolutely will there not be any spice lately me personally that’s all I see and it can get annoying so I decided for myself to make stories without them)

Yandere!Merman x chubby!gn!reader
Tumblr media
Cw: possessiveness, yandere behavior, almost drowning, breeding, biting, dead fish, weird merman dick, marking.
︵‿︵‿︵‿︵︵‿︵‿୨♡୧‿︵‿︵‿︵‿︵‿︵‿
A merman noticed a human drowning, how’d this poor creature get stranded in the middle of the ocean. Awh! Look at their little legs flailing in a panic as they try to stay afloat. How cute… Soon too much water filled your lungs and exhaustion stiffened your lungs as your body gave out in the thrashing waves. The male swims closer in a sense of curiosity, not out of good will. His silky arms wrapped around your torso, gods you were so cold. He tutted as you lay limply in his arms, keeping your head above water as he swims you to his little hideaway, a cove only he knew of. You were just too cute to let drown!
You woke up with a burning feeling in your chest and a pounding in your head, sitting up like lightning and coughing out sea water with a pained expression. As you grasp at the sandy floor- sandy floor? You look around. What? All you remember was that you were on a boat with your family, next thing you know, you fell overboard and the waves were just too aerated so you couldn’t swim. Now… you’re here, in a cave, with glowing moss and crystals. Along with glowing plankton in the pool that leads out to the sea. You would’ve been in awe if you weren’t freaking out and mortified to notice you were only in your torn up shirt and underwear.
“Such a skittish creature…” I low voice called out from beside you. A man, well no a merman. You soaked in his appearance trying to accept the fact that mermaids and such were real in such a short span of time, “look at you, shaking all scared, just like a sea pup that’s lost its mother..” he hummed fondly. The fondness however was laced in condescension.
“W-where am I? Who are you?” You glare at the merman and shuffle away defensively. Wincing at your aching joints. He simply grins “You’re in my very own cove, little human, and as for me? Well I’m your rescuer.” He hummed out. Lifting himself out the water to sit on the sandy floor “I brought you some food, fresh from the hunt.” He threw a headless fish at you, how thoughtful. You grimace and look at the fish you just about managed to catch in your marred hands. “I…” you look awkwardly at him.
“I can’t eat raw meat, I mean I can technically… I just don’t think I could get this down without a fight…” you frown. He huffed and crossed his arms “you humans are so fussy.” He nodded his head over to a pile of random human stuff. “There might be something in there to cook your fish.” He said with an emotion you can’t quite put your finger on. “Oh… thanks.” You smile awkwardly and crawl over to the pile and look for anything… flammable.
Soon you find a rusty lighter, giving it a few experimental clicks, it lights up. And so do the eyes of the merman, watching you intently. You then see some dried out drift wood and placed it away from the pile of human stuff. Setting it alight. Then you place the fish on the burning wood, it was’t a high quality meal, but at least it would be more edible… hopefully.
Soon the fish was properly cooked and you started to pick at it and look at him “Why did you save me?” You asked hesitantly. He just gave you a wide sharp toothed grin “I thought you were a cute little thing so I swept you up and brought you someplace safe.” That made you sputter. “Oh I see…”
“Well… after this, could you return me to mainland?” You ask reasonably.
“No” he responded bluntly and immediately. “I found you, I keep you.” He said as if he was stating the obvious. Your brows quickly furrow “that’s not how it works… you can’t just keep me here-“ he shakes his head “oh but I can, I saw you flinging around like a panicked mackerel out there, I know you’re not a strong swimmer little human.” He hummed in an amused tone. Your heart sank. “I don’t think you could escape here without my help, and I’ve been awfully lonely, especially since it’s mating season…” he said the last part with a purr from deep in his throat.
︵‿︵‿︵‿︵︵‿︵‿︵‿︵‿︵‿︵‿︵‿︵‿︵
Oh, no. Or maybe oh yes? You couldn’t tell what you felt right now. A hot fish man is insinuating he wants to breed you, but he also seems like he’s not going to let you go. Hm…. Well if you can’t beat ‘em join em! You glare at him with precaution “I’m not sure what you’re implying…” you say with faux obliviousness. He smirks as a wet hand grabs your ankle yanking you towards him. His hands immediately landing on your plump hips. “Mmm, you’re quite warm human…” he practically purred again. “I’m implying that I want you as my mate…” he said lowly as his hands trail down your big squishy thighs, giving them a squeeze “I won’t care if you bare my young or not, I’ll breed you regardless…” his grin only widens.
Your breath hitches at his words, and his hands that seem to be far too eager to be on you. “So go on.. tell me you’re mine… let me claim the treasure I found in the sea hmm?” He asked though it sounded much more like a demand. Although despite his eagerness to stuff himself in you, his words held no malice despite his creepy demeanor, it looks like he was stalling his movements, ready to get off of you if you said no. But you didn’t. Instead you look him up and down and think ‘I’ve done worse’.
Slowly you sigh and look back at his face “you… can mate with me..” you look away awkwardly after saying so. Oh and that was all the confirmation he needed before his cold lips started attacking your neck. Your breath hitches as you feel his sharp teeth graze against your neck before biting down rather harshly, making you gasp out. He snickered into your skin as he lapped up the bruising skin “Gonna look so pretty decorated in my marks, no one will dare touch you, everyone will know you’re mine…” he growled possessively.
That’s when you felt something wet and slimy bulge out of the slit on his tail, pressing against your inner thigh. “That was quick…” you gasp out as you feel him rut against you, his cool scales feeling rather soothing as his tail ran up and down your legs as he nudged his needy cock against your clothed sex, “ugh…” he gritted out “I need to be in you, turn over on your front right now human…” he growled out and flipped you over with ease.
You gasp, slightly winded as his slippery cock immediately pressed against your ass as he continued his rutting “going to stuff you full just like a good mate….” He huffed out and moved your underwear to the side. He impatiently spat on his hand, rubbing his spit in on his fingers. Not a second any longer and he was already stretching your hole out. Making you bite your lip and suppress a startled moan. He chuckled lowly “that’s it, taking my fingers like a good mate…” you only let out as small moan as he continued to work you open so you can take his cock.
After what he felt was an eternity, he was satisfied with how stretched out you were. Immediately angling his pretty blue dick against your entrance. His hands dug into your plush hips “mmmh, humans are much softer than any sea person… so supple and squishy… perfect…” he growled as he rambled into your ear. His cock slowly entering. Your tight hole clenching eagerly around his slimy cock as he bottoms out in you. He groaned out loudly as he ducked his head into your neck and began to mark you more.
Soon he was completely inside, his slit pressed up against your ass. He was big… the unusual shape filling you in all the places you never knew you needed. Your back arches as he began to move his hips slowly “fuck so tight for me human..” he gritted out. His long hair tickling your back with every slow thrust. His sharp claw like nails digging into your fat. “I can’t hold back dear treasure… must fill you to the brim with my seed…”
And with that his hips began to hump into you at a feverish pace, lewd squelches and fwops echoed throughout the cave as he continued to use your tight hole like it was his new favorite toy. Soon enough you felt a knot in your stomach built up. He grunted “I’m close…” it seems he had the same build up as well. His thrusts became more erratic and clumsy as he fucked into your sloppy hole in desperation,
A mix between a hiss and a moan left his lips as his warm thick cum gushed into you, giving you no time to react as your orgasm hit you in waves. The merman continued rutting into you to ride out his orgasm, milking every last drop for you.
Once you both came down from your highs, he pulled out, a soft pop followed. Turning you back on your back as you breathe heavily. He looked at you with desire and that same unsettling smile that strangely turned you on. He panted heavily as he moved a few strands of hair that clung to your forehead out of the way. “You’re mine forever now… little human… we mated, you’re mine for life…” he whispered with a cocky smirk,
“I’ll make sure I’ll keep you well fed and squishy for me.” He said in satisfaction as he continued to let his hands explore and squeeze your body. You don’t know how you’re gonna cope with a clingy merman for the rest of your life….

Light Underwater
Pairing: Deep Sea Alien x Gender Neutral Reader
Word Count: 1255
Synopsis: Shipwrecked on an alien planet, miles underwater, you are rescued by a lonely alien.
Content Warnings: Claustrophobia, emetophobia, thalassophobia
Tumblr media
They couldn't get over how soft you felt, how warm you were to the touch, the fine hairs coating your skin. They pulled you closer, flush against their gelatinous body, and enveloped you in their countless tendrils. You hummed and traced a finger lazily across their membrane, watching the bioluminescent trail that followed. They hummed as well, and cascades of warm, orange light rippled over their body.
The tidepool you were reclining in was warmer than any back on your home planet, and the air was muggy and hot, so you couldn't say you didn't enjoy the feel of their smooth, cool skin.
When you first crash landed, the air was nearly too thick to breathe, but by now your lungs were mostly accommodating for the lack of oxygen. You inhaled another deep, measured breath and sank further into the embrace of your rescuer.
Their real name was an incomprehensible combination of burbles, hums, and clicks, but they seemed happy enough when you called them by your best approximation, Qila. They had picked a name for you, also, a wavery melodic hum layered with the sound of a bubbling stream. Their native language was so beautiful, it almost made you forget about the oppressive, dark cave you were stuck in.
Your ship had crash-landed, leaving you stranded miles below the water’s surface, leaving you to watch the oxygen levels slowly diminish until a pair of tendrils wormed their way around the seams of the airlock and pulled you to safety. They had come to investigate the noise, only to have their echolocation clicks drowned out by the panicked beating of your heart. Since they had first laid their
A few of the more prehensile tendrils wrapped around your waist and pulled you gently towards the underside of their gelatinous body. You were pulled into an air-filled pocket they had formed inside themself lined with glowing fluorescent algae from above the water’s surface. It seemed to do an alright job converting your expelled carbon dioxide to breathable oxygen, but you couldn't go more than an hour before you started to get lightheaded. Qila seemed to pick up on your lethargy whenever this happened and was sure to begin to surface shortly after.
The ride to their cave was mostly uneventful, albeit slow. Qila seemed to be even more susceptible to pressure changes than you were, ascending at a snail’s pace. The view was less than spectacular, inky black darkness stretching out for eternity, broken up only by plankton the size of your fist that Qila would ensnare with barbed tendrils that unfurled with uncharacteristic speed.
Their cave was small and far from any other members of their species, or anything else for that matter. Anytime they took you out of the cave, the only thing you could see for miles was ocean. It was always a relief when the opening of their cave came into view, decorated with algae and various aquatic plants. You slipped back out through their permeable skin and swam towards what could be considered your room. It was closer to a pantry than anything, housing materials that could not be stored in water. The walls were coated in the same glowing algae that made it possible to breathe inside of Qila’s body, but the greater volume allowed you to stay here indefinitely. You pulled yourself up onto a ledge, careful not to knock over onto the nearby cubes of salt, sugars, and other soluble minerals, wrapped in hydrophobic coatings.
You turned back to Qila, watching as the vesicle you had traveled in slowly healed itself, closing over until you could no longer see any break in their outer membrane. Only the top part of their bell-shaped body was above the water; the thirty or so feet of tentacles below them were submerged, well past the extent of your vision. They bobbed gently in the water and let out a series of clicks undercut by a high-pitched buzzing.
Well? A single thought resonated in your head, the result of the translation device embedded in your auditory cortex.
“I’m fine, just a little winded. Give me a second.” You weren’t sure if they could actually understand the words you were saying, but they seemed to be able to pick up on the general meaning of your most prominent thoughts and even better from your spoken words. “Can I get some food, though? I’m getting pretty hungry.”
Wait. Will return. Qila disappeared below the still water, leaving you in complete darkness without their bioluminescence. You sat in unlit silence for only a few minutes, listening to the periodic drips of condensation falling back to break the still surface. They returned holding half-a-dozen semi-opaque spheres, each containing a different plant or creature.
The first sphere held what looked to be some sort of crustacean. You peeled open the sphere and pulled out what might have been an arm or leg, encased in a thick black carapace. The shell was easier to remove than you expected, pulling it off in fragmented chunks, which you set beside you in a pile.
Discard. Why?
“The shell—I think that’s what it is, at least—is too sharp for me to swallow. It will cut up my mouth.”
You sniffed the meat and decided that it smelled close enough to crab that it was probably safe enough to eat. A tiny nibble let you know that the taste was at least palatable, if not a little sour.
Acceptable?
“Yeah, for now. Let’s wait to see if I get sick, though.”
The other containers held food that Qila and you had already vetted through trial and error. Who would have thought you could get food poisoning from seaweed? But the purple kelp-looking leaves had left you vomiting and feverish until you bounced back. After that, Qila had become extra cautious in monitoring you for symptoms of food intolerance.
“Thank you; I appreciate it,” you said after you had finished. Qila vocalized happily. “I appreciate you, also. I would have died without your help.”
Enjoy presence. Alone before. Now partner. Happy.
“Partner?” you questioned.
One to share thoughts. To sing with.
“Like a friend?”
Qila was quiet for a while before they responded.
Unsure.
“Qila, are there others like you?”
Far. Inaccessible.
“You can’t see them?”
Correct. Population too large. Exiled.
“Oh. I’m sorry.” You placed a hand along their body.
Request?
“Yeah, what’s up?”
Sing? Together? Qila let out a tentative hum.
“Of course. Um, what do you want me to sing?”
Important song. Meaningful.
You softly began to hum the melody of your favorite song before you broke out into the first verse. Qila began to harmonize, adding percussive clicks and ethereal droning. The muted light inside them grew brighter, more brilliant, until it illuminated the whole cave. Each note their produce lit up different spots on their skin, only to fade as the sound faded. As you came to the end of the last line, you let your voice trail off, and the echos grew quieter until they were inaudible.
Qila was glowing; mesmerizing swirls of bioluminescence cast warm light throughout the dark cave. They continued to murmur bits and pieces of the melody that had stuck with them.
Request?
“Anything.”
Stay. Here, together.
“You know I can’t exactly leave. My ship is broken.”
Unimportant. Promise.
“Absolutely.”
The wave of light that radiated off of Qila was so bright it hurt your eyes. They warbled happy melodies, only parts of which your translator could pick up.
Joy. Companion. Here. Together. Always.

he wore a thick wool coat over layers of sweaters, yet his cheeks were flushed from the cold, the tip of his nose tinted red.
he looked like he was a part of the winter landscape — wild, beautiful, and breathtaking.
his eyes, deep and expressive, held a glimmer of mischief as they met yours—you felt a sudden urge to run to him, to close the space that stretched between you.
the desire wasn’t just physical but also from the knowledge that each moment was precious, each heartbeat more sacred than the last.
“come here,” he called out, his voice low but filled with admiration, cutting through the cold and reaching you as if it were a lifeline.
the way he looked at you made warmth bloom deep inside, a contrast to the chill that clung to your skin.
you took a step forward, then another, the snow beneath your boots crunching softly with each movement.
the air was so crisp that it felt like the world around you would shatter if touched too roughly.
as you closed the distance, he reached out, fingers gloved and trembling slightly, whether from the cold or something else, you weren’t sure.
the second his hands met your waist, he pulled you into him, and the rest of the world went quiet.
the familiar scent of pine and the faint trace of cedarwood from his cologne enveloped you, grounding you in the moment.
his embrace was firm, as if he could shield you from everything—from time, from fate, from the cruel inevitability that loomed over you both.
his heartbeat, steady and rhythmic, beat against your ear where your head rested on his chest.
for a moment, you closed your eyes, letting the pleasant sound seep into your bones, memorizing the way it felt to be held by him, as if it was the only thing that mattered.
“you always feel so warm,” you murmured, voice muffled by the layers of fabric between you.
he chuckled softly, the sound reverberating through his chest.
“it’s because you’re always freezing,” he teased, his breath ghosting against your temple—there was an emphasis in his tone that made you smile despite the tightness in your throat.
he pulled back just enough to look into your eyes, the laughter fading as an intensity took its place.
his gloved hands came up to cup your face, the soft wool as gentle as the way he touched you.
his gaze searched yours, as if trying to read the silent words hidden there, the fear neither of you spoke aloud.
“don’t,” you started, but he shook his head, a sad smile crossing his features.
he leaned down, pressing a kiss to your forehead that felt like a promise and a farewell wrapped in one.
“just for today, let’s forget,” he whispered, the plea in his voice striking a chord deep within you.
it was the same thing you’d been doing—pretending that each moment wasn’t a step closer to the inevitable.
but today, in this silent, untouched world of white, you nodded.
“yes. just for today.”
snowflakes fell lazily from the sky, each one catching the dim light and twirling in the breeze.
you watched as jaehyun scooped up a handful of snow, his eyes sparkling with a playfulness that sent a burst of warmth through your chest.
before you could react, a snowball hit your arm, shattering into a dust of cold that made you gasp.
“jaehyun!” you laughed, the sound cutting through the stillness, going along with his own—it was an easy sound, one you hadn’t made in what felt like ages.
the worry and heaviness that constantly took place in your chest loosened, replaced by this moment of pure, reckless joy.
he grinned at you, the corners of his eyes crinkling as he threw another snowball, this time aiming for your shoulder.
you ducked and retaliated, grabbing a handful of snow and launching it at him—it hit his chest, and he staggered back dramatically, one hand going to his heart as if wounded.
“you got me,” he said, pretending to collapse into the snow—he laid there for a second, staring up at the sky, the flakes of snow settling onto his lashes and the dark hair splayed around his head like a halo.
something tightened in your chest at the sight of him so still, eyes closed as if he were surrendering to some invisible force.
“hey,” you whispered, moving closer and kneeling by his side—the concern must have shown on your face because his eyes fluttered open, and he reached up to take your hand.
“i’m here,” he said softly, squeezing your fingers, his eyes searched yours—filled with something unspoken, something heavy.
you squeezed back, the weight of it pressing down on you as you sat there, the cold seeping through your clothes but failing to reach your heart, which burned in pain.
“i know,” you replied, voice barely a breath—it was all you could say, the words you wanted to utter caught in the back of your throat, tangled with the ache that never seemed to leave.
suddenly, he sat up, pulling you into his lap with a laugh that eased the tension—his arms came around you, solid and warm, and he buried his face in your neck, sighing as if he could inhale you whole and keep you with him forever.
“you’re my everything,” he said, voice muffled against your skin.
you closed your eyes, letting the warmth of his words seep into the broken places within you.
“you always say that, jae.” you teased lightly, trying to mask the tears that pricked at the corners of your eyes.
he pulled back, the mischievous glint returning as he brushed his nose against yours, his eyelashes kissing your skin, making you giggle.
“and i’ll keep saying it until you believe me,” he replied, pressing a soft kiss to your lips.
it was gentle and soft— as if savoring the moment.
all the love, fear, and desperation you both held spilled into it—his warm hands cupped your face, his breath coming in warm puffs against your mouth as he kissed you like it was the only thing keeping him tied to this world.
when he pulled away, the both of you were giggling, faces inches apart.
the snow continued to fall around you, blanketing the world in silence, as if it, too, were holding its breath for you.
the warmth of the cabin enveloped you as soon as you walked in, its wooden walls creaking under the weight of snow settling on the roof.
a fire crackled, the flames reflecting flickering shadows that displayed across the cozy space.
you shrugged off your coat, the chill clinging stubbornly to your clothes as jaehyun closed the door behind you with a soft thud.
he leaned against it for a moment, watching you with an unreadable expression.
the air was filled with a familiar scent—pine, cedar, and something unmistakably jaehyun—it wrapped around you like a second skin, grounding you in the reality of the moment.
he stepped forward, each movement deliberate, until he was close enough that you could see the glimmer of gold in his dark eyes.
he reached out and tucked a stray lock of hair behind your ear, the back of his fingers brushing against your skin and sending a shiver down your spine that had nothing to do with the cold.
his touch lingered, and then he traced the curve of your jaw, down to your chin, before tilting your face up to meet his gaze.
the firelight cast warm hues across his face, illuminating the soft details of his face.
“are you warm enough?” he asked, his voice quiet and soft, each word dripping with a tenderness that made your chest ache.
you nodded, unable to look away as his thumb brushed across your cheek.
“i am now,” you whispered, the words coming out like a confession—the corner of his mouth pointed up in a half smile, and before you could say anything else, he leaned in.
his lips found yours, warm and firm, and the world around you shrank to the small space you shared.
the kiss was slow, as if he were memorizing the feel of you all over again—his hands moved to your waist, pulling you closer until there was no space left between your bodies.
you responded in kind, fingers finding their way into his hair, tugging gently as the kiss deepened.
the sensation was intoxicating, a mix of fire and ice as the warmth from his touch battled the remnants of cold still clinging to your skin.
he broke away just enough to press his forehead against yours, his breath coming in shallow puffs that matched your own.
his eyes fluttered open, dark and smoldering, searching yours with an intensity that made your pulse race.
“i wish i could make time stop,” he murmured, his voice a quiet whisper that sent an overload of love for the boy through you. “just for us.”
for a moment, the weight of that statement settled between you, heavy and unspoken.
you didn’t have to say anything—the unshed tears in your eyes were enough.
he kissed you again, this time with a quiet desperation that spoke of things left unsaid and time slipping away too fast.
his hands traced the curve of your back, fingers pressing into the fabric of your sweater as if he were anchoring himself to you.
the world outside could have disappeared, and you wouldn’t have noticed—there was only the warmth of the fire, the steady beat of jaehyun’s heart against yours, and the quiet promise held in the way his lips moved with yours—that for now, this moment was enough.
he led you to the edge of the rug in front of the fire, the heat from the flames painting a soft glow over your intertwined forms.
the quiet crackle of burning wood provided a rhythm as he eased you down, the weight of him pressing you into the plush surface.
his hands were everywhere, sliding down your arms, brushing over your sides, the touch both comforting and electrifying.
every inch of you felt alive, hyper aware of him—the way his breath hitched when your fingers traced the edges of his jaw, the slight shiver that ran through him when your lips found the sensitive spot just below his ear.
you let yourself get lost in him, in the way he whispered your name like a prayer, in the way his eyes never left yours as he mapped out the curves of your face, memorizing each detail.
it was as if he were imprinting the memory of you onto his soul, a keepsake for the moments when memories would be all that remained.
“i’m here,” he said, voice breaking the silence, and for the first time, it felt as though those words carried a different meaning.
a promise not just for now but for all the moments he wished he could see but knew he might not.
you cupped his face, feeling the softness and warmth of his skin against your palms, and drew him down into another kiss.
it was slow, soft, and laced with emotions too heavy for words.
the crackle of the fire faded, the world outside ceased to exist, and there was only this—the touch of his hands, the warmth of his skin, and the unspoken understanding between you that this was both everything and never enough.
later, as the fire burned lower and the cabin was bathed in a dim, golden glow, you lay side by side, limbs tangled, listening to the quiet sound of his breathing.
his arm was draped over your waist, fingers absently tracing patterns along your hip.
you tilted your head to look at him, studying the profile that had become more familiar than your own reflection.
the curve of his nose, the tips of his lashes, the subtle curve of his lips—all committed to your memory.
he suddenly opened his eyes—catching you looking, a soft smile making its way to his mouth as he turned his head.
“what are you thinking about now?” he asked, voice barely above a murmur.
you hesitated, the truth lodged in your throat like a stone. “about you,” you admitted finally. his smile faltered, just for a moment, and you knew he understood what you really meant.
“i’m still here,” he said again, his voice a touch firmer as if willing it to be true for longer than either of you dared to hope.
you reached out and threaded your fingers through his, squeezing gently.
“i know,” you said, and this time, the silence that followed wasn’t uncomfortable—it was full, rich with all the things you wanted to say but didn’t have to.
the fire crackled again, a log splitting and sending a brief shower of sparks into the air, and he winced, a small frown on his brow.
“jaehyun?” concern sharpened your voice as you propped yourself up on one elbow—his eyes met yours, the flicker of pain replaced by an apology so quick you might have missed it if you hadn’t been looking.
“just tired,” he said, offering a smile that didn’t quite reach his eyes—you didn’t press, but your heart squeezed painfully in your chest.
the cabin seemed to shrink, the warmth suffocating now as the weight of reality settled back in.
you lay back down, pressing closer to him as if proximity alone could live off what you both knew was coming.
his arm tightened around you, and you felt the soft press of his lips against your temple, the slight tremor in his hand where it rested on your hip.
“sleep,” he whispered, though you knew sleep was the farthest thing from either of your minds.
the sun went up bright and startlingly clear, the sunlight bouncing off the snow and turning the field into a magical expanse of white.
it was almost blinding, the kind of brightness that forced you to squint, making everything around you look dreamlike.
you and jaehyun had wandered out to this quiet place, drawn by the beauty of the morning, its serenity a thin veil over the tension neither of you spoke of.
jaehyun’s laughter rang out, a sound so free and uninhibited that it stirred something in your chest, a bittersweet ache that you tried to push away.
he reached down and scooped up a handful of snow, rolling it between his palms until it formed a perfect ball.
the playfulness in his eyes made your heart skip, and you found yourself grinning despite the unease that sat heavy in your stomach.
before you could react, he tossed the snowball your way—it hit your shoulder, exploding into a flurry of ice crystals that shimmered in the sunlight.
you gasped, more in surprise than shock, and bent down to retaliate, your gloved hands packing the snow with practiced ease.
the chase was on—two lovers running through the snow, laughter mingling with the cold, crisp air as if you were children and nothing else mattered.
“come and catch me,” he called, his breath visible in the icy air, voice full of mischief.
he moved with a grace that belied the truth you both carried, the secret that had stolen his strength in so many moments.
but today, he was radiant, a force that seemed to defy the frailty you knew he felt.
you lunged forward, grabbing his arm, and he spun, taking you down with him into the snow.
you landed in a tangle of limbs, breathless and laughing, the cold seeping through your clothes.
you looked up at him, and for a second, the world fell away—his eyes met yours, dark and warm, filled with a kind of determination filled with love that made you shiver.
then, as quickly as the moment came, something changed—a flicker of pain passed across his face, barely perceptible, but you saw it.
his smile faltered, and his eyes squeezed shut for a heartbeat too long.
“jaehyun?” your voice, once playful, now edged with panic.
you pushed yourself up on your elbows, the snow crunching beneath you as he slumped forward, one hand clutching his temple.
he opened his eyes, and there was a new kind of fear there, one that mirrored your own—he tried to smile, a wry, defeated curve of his lips.
“i’m okay,” he managed, the words thin, as if the air had been sucked from his lungs.
“no, no you’re not,” you whispered, a tremor of anxiety and brokenness in your voice.
you reached for him as he dropped to his knees, the snow beneath him stained with the shadow of a moment you both dreaded.
tears pricked at the corners of your eyes as you grabbed his face, forcing him to look at you.
his skin was cold, too cold, and you could feel the tremor in his jaw.
he looked at you then, really looked, as if he were trying to memorize your face—his eyes softened, and a tear slipped down his cheek, catching the light like a fragile piece of glass.
“i’m sorry,” he said, the words sad and broken. “i wanted more time.”
the world froze as you shook your head, tears falling freely now. “no, don’t say that. we’re not done yet. we’re not, please jae…” your voice cracked, and you felt as if you were falling apart from the inside out.
his hand, trembling but warm, cupped your face.
the pressure was gentle, but it anchored you, it kept you from falling apart.
he pressed his forehead to yours, eyes closed as he drew in a shaky breath. “i want to live. i want to love you for longer,” he whispered, and the way he said it, so full of longing and regret, shattered you.
“i love you, so so much—” you choked out, gripping his coat as if that alone could hold him here, keep him with you for eternity.
snowflakes landed on his lashes, melting as they met the heat of his tears.
he opened his eyes, and the smile he gave you was soft, tender, and heartbreaking.
“i know,” he whispered, and then, as if the weight of it all was too much, he crumpled forward into your arms.
“no, no, no,” you cried, the sound raw and jagged, cutting through the silence.
the snow seemed to grow colder, biting at your skin as you held him, your hands shaking as you brushed the hair back from his forehead.
his eyes were closed, face peaceful in a way that made everything inside you scream.
the sky, once so bright, seemed to dim as a new wave of snow began to fall, soft and silent.
it covered you both, a gentle blanket that felt cruel in its calmness—you rocked him, whispered his name, and begged for the world to stop, to turn back, to give you just one more minute, one more breath.
but the snow fell, the wind grew harsher, and the silence pressed down, unyielding.
time lost meaning as you sat there, cradling him, your fingers numb and trembling as they traced the contours of his face.
his lashes, dark and damp, lay against his skin like ink on snow—you pressed your lips to his forehead, the touch lingering as if you could breathe life back into him.
“i’m here,” you whispered, echoing the words he always said—but now, they were hollow, empty promises that couldn’t change the truth.
when you finally looked up, the world felt different, smaller.
the trees stood as silent witnesses, their branches heavy with snow, bowing under the weight as if mourning with you.
the sky was pale, washed out, and endless, a contrast to the vibrant life that had just been there minutes ago.
your chest heaved with sobs you couldn’t hold back, each one tearing through you as you clutched jaehyun’s still form.
the world blurred through your tears, and all you could do was sit there, the warmth seeping from his body, replaced by the relentless cold of the snow.
and then, in the quiet, a memory surfaced—his voice, soft and teasing, the way he’d once laughed and said that the snow was beautiful because it made everything look new, untouched.
the memory cut through you, sharp and painful, but it was all you had left to hold onto.
“i love you,” you whispered one last time, the words lost in the wind as the snow continued to fall.

♥️Boyfriend!Sukuna x Fem!reader♥️
You decided to pop an age old question to your boyfriend as he was watching SpongeBob, which in fact his favorite character is Plankton and Squidward.
“Babe..boobs or ass?”
Sukuna blinked, guzzling down his coke soda, almost choking. “The fuck? Where did that come from—“
“Just answer, which one do you like more?” You were patting his back so he couldn’t die on you.
Sukuna sighed, rubbing his chin. “Boobs. They’re soft, they bounce, big or small, all are pretty.” He then looked to you, “yours..are fuckin’ perfect.”
This made your heart race and the way he was staring at your breasts made you feel as you didn’t have a shirt or bra on. “Oh i see, that’s g..good to know..” you were now getting shy and he noticed this.
“Hmm? Cat got your tongue? Come here and let me hold you yeah?” That smirk on his face, you knew oh you knew, it was gonna be more then just holding.

Lantern Plankton Migration
Nereus x Reader
Tumblr media
(Y/n) shot Flora a withering look, not to be combated with Flora’s famous puppy eyes. But (Y/n) held her ground…For ten seconds.
“Fine! I’ll go to the stinking party!” (Y/n) caved, throwing her arms in the air.
Flora cheered, choosing to ignore (Y/n)’s next comment “Who knew that zooplankton migration was Andros’ version of summer solstice…”
“I’m so glad you're coming! No one else can, other than Aisha. And I’ll get to show you off as the newest member of the winx club!” Flora said excitedly.
“And here I was hoping to have a quiet Saturday after all that Trix nonsense…” (Y/n) said grumbling, but couldn’t help the smile that shone through. “Well, at least it’ll be a fun Saturday with my BFF!” (Y/n) said, jumping into the excitement right along Flora.
“Right?! And I have the perfect outfits for us!” Gushed Flora.
“Oh, is it…?” (Y/n) said, hyping her best friend up. Pointing to a certain set of outfits in Flora’s closet.
“You guessed it! We’re splitting the co-ords!” Flora squeed.
“YAAS! But I call dibs on using the top.” (Y/n) said, and grinned with mock cunning.
“Aww…so mean.” Flora said with false disappointment.
And that’s how the girls showed up to the party. (Y/n) wore a flutter sleeve tube top with a tropical floral pattern and a pair of white high-waisted shorts. While Flora was rocking a maxi skirt of the same pattern, with a slit to the mid-thigh and a black lettuce edge crop top. Aisha came swayed over to the girls,
“Well, well, don’t you look like a pair of baddies!” She said, hugging both girls. “So glad you guys came.”
Flora gave nothing but a smile, (Y/n) laughing “Like we would miss it! Plus Flora threw those puppy eyes at me… Can’t ever say no to that.”
The girls all laughed at (Y/n)s’ little joke. Aisha turned towards the moon pool in the center of her family's pavilion walking (Y/n) and Flora over to greet her cousins.
“You haven’t met my cousins yet have you (Y/n)?” Asked Aisha as they made their way over.
“Can’t say I have, I was in Linphea College during that whole ocean… fiasco.” (Y/n) said, shrugging. Waving her arms around a bit when mentioning the betrayal of Tritannus.
“Well you’ll get to meet them now!” Aisha said as the girls got to the pool, turning and gesturing to two of the mer-people within the moon pool “Hey guys! I know you know Flora, but we have a brand new member of the winx club! This is (Y/n).” She said, presenting (Y/n) to the merman and mermaid. (Y/n) smiled and gave a little wave. “(Y/n), these are my cousins Tressa, and Nereus!” Aisha said pointing to the mermaid, and merman respectively.
“OH! So you’re fishlips’ brother!” (Y/n) said before she could stop herself. Seeing Nereus and Tressas’ confused glances she continued “Sorry, little nickname I gave him during Flora and I’s talks. So sorry about that whole thing by the way, it must have been devastating for you three. I just wished he didn’t get pushed to that point, ya know?” (Y/n) said a bit melancholy.
Nereus gave a solemn nod in agreement. Her sentiments (and playful insult) instantly endeared (Y/n) to him.
Tressa decided to lighten the mood, “Ah, it’s all in the past now… Come on! the lantern plankton are about to arrive!” She said diving into the moon pool.
Aisha and Flora transforming into their sirenix forms and diving in after her, Nereus hesitated with (Y/n). Waiting patiently to follow after her.
“What’s the matter?” asked Nereus when (Y/n) made no moves to enter the moon pool.
“Would now be a bad time to mention that I don’t have any spells to help me breathe underwater?” (Y/n) said, gesturing towards the pool where her friends disappeared.
Nereus laughed, it was a little funny to see someone so confident get nervous so quickly.
“Here, stay next to me. I think I’ve got something for that.” Nereus said gently, pulling (Y/n) into the water.
(Y/n) chose not to protest, even though her clothes were getting wet. She was curious to see what the ocean prince would do. Nereus gently placed his arm around (Y/n)'s waist, amazed at her immediate trust in him, wondering aloud.
“You trust quickly,” he said.
“Oh no I don’t! But Flora trusts you.” (Y/n) said her expression turning serious “Which means you're someone worth putting at least a little faith in.” (Y/n) said, instantly returning back to her lighthearted teasing.
Nereus felt his cheeks warm a bit at the statement. He wasn’t sure why, since most people he knew praised his good character. But hearing from (Y/n), who was such a bombastic and friendly person herself, made it feel like guppies were swimming around in his gut. Realizing that (Y/n) had been patiently waiting for him for a bit he hurriedly placed an underwater breathing spell on her. Tucking her to his side and swimming her into the open water. Which made (Y/n) realize something about the spell rather quickly…
“You jerk! Ya could’a told me that the spell keeps you dry!” said (Y/n) playfully, slapping Nereus on the arm.
“Oh, my apologies! I guess I don’t really consider these sorts of things…” Nereus said, cheeks flaming with embarrassment.
(Y/n) couldn’t help but laugh, covering her mouth trying to hide her smile. “Relax, I’m not actually mad. Now come on, take me to this plankton march… thing.” she said,
“The lantern zooplankton migration?” Nereus said, raising a playful quizzical eyebrow.
He wasn’t used to people talking so relaxed with him, being a crown prince and all. But he was enjoying it. (Y/n) brought out a playful side to him that he hadn’t had since his brother's banishment.
(Y/n) just rolled her eyes with a laugh, allowing Nereus to swim her to the observation area. Meeting up with Aisha, Flora, and Tressa. They talked until the plankton appeared. It was a beautiful sight, it was like glowing living smoke. The colors shifted with the twists and turns of the zooplankton colony. Everyone was quiet with awe, the occasional sounds of wonder murmuring through the crowd at a particular color shift or swirl of the plankton.
Then something amazing happened, while the rest of the spectators with a large swath of the lantern plankton, a small arm of the colony meandered it’s way to (Y/n). Swirling around her (Y/n) reached out to them, playing with the little creatures pushing them to and fro. Nereus gazed at her, smitten. It was like an aquatic halo of multicolored light surrounded (Y/n), highlighting all her glorious features. Nereus could only equate what he was witnessing, to the magnetic beauty of a siren. Her light hearted genuine laughter was music to his ears. Nereus was bewitched by her, body and soul. Only the lantern plankton hurrying back to their migration was what returned him from his stupor. The tail end of the colony disappears into the ocean waters, causing the spectators to return to their homes.
The swim back to the party was a jovial one. Aisha gushed about (Y/n) and the lantern plankton, since it was something that no one had ever seen before. (Y/n) described how wonderful it felt to be amongst such amazing creatures. And it wasn’t until the trio of girls started making their good-byes that Nereus realized he might not see (Y/n) again for quite some time. It was now or never.
(Y/n) heard Nereus call her over, when got closer to him he waved her down to his level. However when (Y/n) leaned down, she felt lips on her cheek and heard a splash.
“Nereus! I’m so gonna get you back for that!”

If you have any spots open for request stories, I would like to request little!reader x Sibby/big brother! JJ X caregiver John B where they go to the aquarium. Maybe the little!reader is autistic and hyperfixates on marine biology specifically sharks.
🐛 have a good day 🐛

» a/n: I don’t know much about sharks so this is just facts I stole off chloé hayden’s tiktok that you can find here (sry I am a chloé fangirl & also she’s autistic so !!! yay autistic hyperfixation sharing!)
» warnings: classification au, autistic!reader, pet names
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
John B smiles watching you and Jj bound hand-in-hand into the aquariums entrance, already having gone through bag checks and getting your tickets hole punched. It’s still early enough in the morning that the crowd is small, a few eager littles with their caregivers peeking into tanks of fish and some parents holding their kids up to see the touch-tank of animals near the entrance.
“John B! C’mon!” Jj calls out, louder than anyone else in the place, and you giggle beside him. John B takes the hint and starts to jog up to where the two of you stand near a tank of turtles.
“We gotta get a pic for Kie!” You exclaim with a pull on John B’s pant leg, he nods and quickly reaches to grab the polaroid camera Sarah let you guys take to the aquarium to capture moments, alongside John B’s phone camera of course.
“Okay, you two smile.” Jj hauls you into his side with a massive grin that you easily mirror. This trip has been in the works for nearly two months now, trying to plan around the new school year, job schedules, etc, has been difficult but you finally did it. You’re all here.
“Let’s start exploring, we can take some more pictures.”
-
Eventually you all end up in front of the massive tank of sharks, it’s bigger than all the other tanks, stock full of sharks that look to be having a ‘rad time’ according to Jj in his tween headspace. It’s easily your favorite part of being at the aquarium, kneeling on the wood bench to stare up at where the sharks swim around.
“Like what you see bug?” John B places a gentle hand on your back, glancing behind his shoulder for a moment to check that Jj is still occupying himself with the hand sanitizer dispenser on the wall. He should probably stop Jj, but, he’ll get to it in a minute.
“Yeah, but they don’t have my favorite one.” You’ll still never get over seeing this many sharks this up close, but it’s always been a dream of yours to see your favorite species of shark in person.
“Which one’s your favorite?” John B already knows the answer, because of course he does, he’s your caregiver and has listened to you ramble about sharks plenty of times- but he likes the way your eyes light up at the opportunity to talk about your hyperfixation.
“The basking shark! It’s so big John B, like, this big!” You outstretch your arms dramatically as John B nods along with a grin.
“That’s pretty big.” You nod excitedly, shifting to sit back against your calf’s and turning to face John B head on.
“Mm, the biggest! But they’re really nice, they have little throats so they only eat plankton and small stuff like that. And- and there’s a video of them breaching like dolphins do which is so cool!” Just as you’re about to demonstrate what breaching is to John B with your hands, Jj comes barreling into your side and his hands instantly reach to wipe globs of hand sanitizer onto your arms.
“Ew Jj!” You squeal and climb into John B’s lap as Jj laughs across from you.
“Jj how many times do I have to tell you not to wipe things onto other people?” He shrugs, swiping the rest of the hand sanitizer onto John B’s shorts, leaving behind a wet streak that’s dark against the khaki colored material.
“Whatcha lookin’ at?” A smaller coral shark swims by Jj’s face when he turns to stare into the tank, making a small noise of amazement at the creatures in front of him.
“Sharks. They’re so cool, right?” Confident you won’t get any other substances wiped onto you, you climb off of John B to settle next to Jj and peer up into the tank with him.
“So sick.” He mumbles in agreement.
John B takes the moment to step back from the bench and snap a photo of the two of you from behind. He knows he’ll get this one framed when he gets home, and he’ll keep the polaroid version in his wallet until Sarah inevitably steals it from him for her own collection.
