McQueen: You ever see something that changes your life and you're just like "huh..?"
Dooley: I saw you.
McQueen: Honestly that's so cute and sweet but it kinda makes this awkward because I was gonna show you a picture of PD in a turkey costume.

before i post the Look on the Darkside AU timeline, i gotta actually post about a character in it that i don’t think i’ve shown before for some reason????
Tumblr media
this is Azzy Modeus, they’re a shapeshifting demon yaaaaay!!! they enable mcqueen’s drinking habits and are generally not a good friend. they do care about mcqueen though, but being a demon they don’t really know how to show it in any healthy ways
Tumblr media
let it be known that francis is very much not innocent in this either, they’re using Azzy as a replacement/placeholder for Dooley.
they met at a bar in the Darkside while McQueen was drunk as hell and Azzy made a point to steer him away from trouble with other demons and monsters. they became friends after that, hanging out and drinking together and generally making really morally gray choices.
Sorry about the shitty image quality, i had to scavenge for any drawings i had of them, so the scanning is kinda bad </3
Tumblr media
and here’s a quick colored ver of them:

All I've been able to think about lately is Junkrat having no sense of self worth. Being so young when the downfall of the outback began I can imagine he was abandoned or separated from his parents so early on it doesnt make much a difference. He only remembers being alone and we know when he meets roadhog he's already missing limbs and disliked by the remaining junkers in Oz so it's not hard to imagine Junkrat hasn't been treated kindly. He doesn't know how to be loved or what it's like to be treated with unconditional kindness. He's never been taught he's worthy of love thus he simply accepts that maybe he isn't worthy of love at all.
While he and Roadhog eventually become partners then eventually romantic partners too Mako never realizes that Jamie has never once thought Mako would actually settle for him. (I'm my mind Mako had a wife, possibly a child, before the crisis who unfortunately died)
It isn't until they join Overwatch, if you can call choosing between prison and a technically illegal ragtag team of vigilantes a choice. That Mako is coming to retrieve Jamie from one if his 'playdates' with Hana and Lucio that he hears them talking and stops just in the doorway to listen.
Hana and Lucio are jokingly talking about relationships in Overwatch and obviously trying to tease Jamie ask when he and Mako will get married. In which Jamie responds,
"Oh he ain't ever gonna marry me," Junkrat doesnt even bother looking up from the junk he's tinkering with "I'm just uh, wha'da call it, placeholder er something."
Hana and Lucio share an alarmed looked, slightly disturbed by Jamie's nonchalance and seeming carefree tone.
"Jamie!" Hana chastises, "dont say that, where would you even get an idea like that!?" Junkrat shrugs still unbothered and not looking up or noticing his friends worry.
"Well it's not hard to guess, he had a wife. Before everything went to shit I mean, ya know before Oz became a flaming shithole!" Jamie giggles madly, waving his screwdriver wildly. "He has a picture of 'em that he always carries. Thought he could hide it from ol' Junkrat but I can be sneaky too!" He says the final statement rather proudly.
"Easy to figure I can't be as good of a fuck, especially considering I dont got the right parts and all." Junkrat continues still oblivious to his friends mounting discomfort. "Not as soft as a shiela, less squishy and too boney like that angel lady is always griping at me about!"
"Angela is just worried about your health Jamie, I know you're doing a lot better now but you could still use some more body fat." Lucio soothes despite the ache that's been slowly creeping into his heart.
"Yeah, yeah what'ver ya say froggy but I mean considering how much I'm paying him to protect me I wasn't surprised when he wanted a start bumping uglies." Junkrat pauses now in his tinkering. Resting his chin in his palm appearing almost thoughtful. "After all wasn't like he could go chase tail and watch my back at the same time so guess it was more convenient to keep me on my back!"
Junkrat cackles. Hana and Lucio wince at his crassness.
"But not like I was gonna say no to a fine bloke like 'im! I mean have you seen 'im. Hooley dooley." The blonde Junker sighs dreamily. "'Sides once he gets tired a me and finds something better I'll still have plenty of memories." Junkrat flashes another too wide smile pressing the tip of the screwdriver to his temple. "Enough that even all my screws loose I wont be able to forget!"
He happily goes back to his little project humming without a tune. Hanna and Lucio seem at a loss looking at each other with equal amounts of sadness and worry.
Mako stands in the shadows of the doorway. A cold knot that had been forming as he'd listened sitting heavy in his stomach. An ache in his heart he'd thought he'd never feel again and a determined line setting his mouth.
He was going to teach Jamie what it meant to be loved and he was going to teach that mangy twink just how much he deserved to love himself.
Hope you enjoyed my 3 am angst/whump/fluff??? Plot bunny session. Will I someday write a full fledged roadrat fic?? The world may never know

Racconti #2
Tumblr media
“This world you live in is not a place for someone like you.”
–A Different Kind Of Human, AURORA
Playlist:
Little Boy In The Grass - AURORA
Through The Eyes Of A Child - AURORA
Under The Water - AURORA
A Different Kind Of Human - AURORA
Mothership - AURORA
Tiny Alien - Katie Melua
The Tourist - Message To Bears
Vedremo.
Carlo
appassionato di geologia
disperatamente in cerca di un amico
insospettabile romantico
bravo ad ascoltare
Luca
convinto di essere un alieno
ossessionato dallo spazio
estremamente socievole e loquace
ha una fortissima immaginazione
Madre di Luca
madre single
fricchettona
vegetariana
brava a cucinare
Estratto:

“Hate followed him gently, black seeds in his heart, roots tearing the love in him apart.”
–Churchyard, AURORA
Playlist:
Put the Blame On Meme - Rita Hayworth
Amado Mio - Rita Hayworth
As Time Goes By - Dooley Wilson
Churchyard - AURORA
O Tannebaum - canto tradizionale
Personaggi:
Gertie
l’amica ubriaca™
fa la ballerina in uno spettacolo di varietà
ospita Marlene in una catapecchia in affitto
Estratto:
«Conosco i suoi gusti.»
A presto!

The Broncos are in love with Drew Lock
Tumblr media
John Elway has made his admiration of the Missouri quarterback blatant.
For the second year in a row, the Denver Broncos find themselves picking in the top 10 of the NFL Draft. Last year, Denver smartly took defensive end Bradley Chubb. Twelve sacks later, and Chubb had one of the best seasons for a rookie in the NFL.
Denver overall had arguably the best rookie class in the NFL last season. Undrafted free agent running back Phillip Lindsay had 1,278 yards from scrimmage and 10 touchdowns. Linebacker Josey Jewell looks like a starter, as do wide receivers DaeSean Hamilton and Courtland Sutton.
If the Broncos can land a few more starters in the 2019 draft, they’ll no longer be picking in the top 10. Of course, that starts with hitting on the No. 10 overall pick. Will they? Scotty Payne of Mile High Report has an idea in the SB Nation NFL writers’ mock draft of what they might do.
10. Denver Broncos: Drew Lock, QB, Missouri
Payne: Denver Broncos general manager John Elway’s love for Drew Lock is well documented. Elway and then right-hand man Gary Kubiak scouted Lock during the season, and Elway told anyone who was listening about how much he loved Lock at the Senior Bowl. Now they have Lock heading to the Broncos’ practice facility for a top-30 pre-draft visit in the coming days. It just makes too much sense not to happen.
Yes, the Broncos acquired quarterback Joe Flacco in a trade this offseason, but he simply just replaced Case Keenum as the placeholder for the position. Add in Flacco’s lack of any guaranteed money in his deal going forward and you have an easy transition to go from Flacco to Lock in a year or two.
Lock needs some development, but they did hire former 49ers quarterbacks coach Rich Scangarello to be the team’s offensive coordinator. He made a name for himself in San Francisco by developing Nick Mullens into a capable starting quarterback. So the Broncos will be hoping Scangarello can work the same magic on a more talented Drew Lock.
John Elway likely has one last chance at drafting his quarterback of the future for the Broncos, and he’s going to go all-in on Drew Lock for better or for worse.
Analysis: There are two distinct philosophies when it comes to making picks for a mock draft. Yes, it is that deep. The first philosophy is that of what should happen. In the SB Nation NFL writers’ mock draft, that was on display with Jacksonville getting Ohio State quarterback Dwayne Haskins at No. 7. Lock being mocked to Denver is the what could happen philosophy.
This pick shouldn’t happen. Lock is an erratic, but talented, quarterback. He showed marked improvement in his final season at Missouri under offensive coordinator Derek Dooley. Still, he is an extremely raw and inaccurate passer. It’s hard to defend him as a top-10 pick. But given Elway’s background, don’t be surprised if it happens.
Top five remaining players:
8. Jeffery Simmons, DT, Mississippi State
10. Christian Wilkins, DT, Clemson
12. Rashan Gary, DE, Michigan
13. Josh Jacobs, RB, Alabama
14. Montez Sweat, DE, Mississippi State
Up next in our mock draft is Jason Marcum of Cincy Jungle making the pick for the Bengals.

Aware of perceived shortcomings, Derek Dooley out to stiff-arm doubters in new role
COLUMBIA, Mo. — Derek Dooley plopped a 500-page ring-bound playbook on his desk for emphasis.
“You want to see the dumbest thing I can do?” Missouri’s new offensive coordinator asked. “It’s to say, ‘Here’s what we’re running, boys.’ “
The playbook contains the Dallas Cowboys’ offensive install from one of the five years Dooley coached receivers in Big D (2013-17).
“I showed Drew [Lock],” Dooley said of the elite quarterback he has inherited at Mizzou. “He’s looking like, ‘Holy shit!”
Lock is coming off a record-setting season in which he threw the most touchdown passes (44) in SEC history. After deciding to bypass next month’s draft, the soon-to-be senior is locked in as one of the top quarterback prospects in 2019.
He is also a piece of the fulcrum on which the careers of Dooley and coach Barry Odom may tilt.
Missouri’s confident, gregarious, outgoing offensive coordinator/quarterbacks coach is comfortable in his own skin. Still, he gets why folks are questioning his credentials for this job.
In his 21-year career, Dooley has never called an offensive play or coached quarterbacks.
Yet he was hired to do both by the Tigers following the departure of Josh Heupel to UCF.
“Sure, it should matter,” Dooley said of questions about his experience. “It’s fair. … You know you’re going to make first-time mistakes, but you hope it’s overcome by all this other experience that some coordinators don’t have.”
That experience has included climbing the coaching ladder with Nick Saban at both LSU and the Miami Dolphins (2000-06). It includes a starter head coaching job at Louisiana Tech (2007-09) before the harsh reality of Tennessee (2010-12).
“I can give you 800 excuses, but at the end of the day, I had three years and I didn’t get it done,” said Dooley, who was dismissed after a three-year record of 15-21 with the Vols.
“Prior to 2012, my whole career had been like this [gesturing upward]. Everything worked,” he added. “Like any young person, you think you got it. That’s what life does to you. It cuts your balls off.”
There is something about a fired coach in the SEC these days. They become celebrity lightning rods. Sometimes they are mocked. It’s not just a firing; it’s a branding.
For various failings, these former SEC head coaches are off the field at the moment: Hugh Freeze, Butch Jones, Bret Bielema and Les Miles.
“The narrative of my tenure every time is [it’s] the disaster of all-time,” Dooley said. “I get all that. What they don’t see is we lost four SEC games on the last drive that last year. We were an abomination on defense. It wasn’t like we were getting run out of the stadium.”
Then Dooley caught himself. He’s going down a well-traveled road of excuses. He promised himself he wasn’t going to do that when he got fired.
“I called some former head guys who had been in that situation,” he said. “I was struggling. You hear them just venting, so angry, blaming. You know how coaches are, ‘It ain’t my fault.'”
Dooley and Cowboys tight end Jason Witten — a former Tennessee star — had a running joke whenever they heard the blame game.
“Hey, nobody really gives a shit,” Dooley said.
It took Odom four days in early January to hire Dooley, who either left on his own or was fired from the Cowboys after those five seasons. It doesn’t really matter now.
“It wasn’t like he threw a dart,” Dooley said. “The one thing that has come to light … everywhere you go, how you treat people, how you work, comes back.”
The pair share the same representative in super-agent Jimmy Sexton. Odom says he heard good things about Dooley from former Mizzou assistant Matt Eberflus, who worked with him in Dallas.
“The amount of decisions he had to make as a head coach, he’s going to be OK if he has to make a [short yardage] call,” Odom said of Dooley. “He worked for Nick Saban for seven years.
“If you’re not pretty good, you’re not going to last in that system. He was also the [athletic director] and coach at Louisiana Tech at the same time. That’s damn near impossible.”
Odom has been quoted that both he and Dooley each have something to prove.
“I think it’s pretty obvious what he wants to prove,” Dooley said.  “This is his first job.”
Odom, 41, goes into his third season as a head coach with an 11-14 mark. A top defensive coach, Odom is on his second defensive coordinator (Ryan Walters) while still calling defensive plays himself.
Dooley’s outlook: “I needed to get re-stimulated X and O-wise. … With Nick, I was like his right-hand guy. I used to be part of the decision making. You’re impacting. You’re not like just sewing a button.”
The second half of this story involves a significant quarterback to coach up. Missouri won its last six regular-season games with Lock and Heupel taking off together.
In those six games, Lock threw for almost 2,000 yards and 26 touchdown passes with only five interceptions. That was in a pure zone-read spread. It could be that Lock’s numbers decline with Dooley’s offensive tweaks even as the quarterback gets better.
Dooley plans to install what he calls four offenses in one: some pro-style from the Cowboys, some Tennessee stuff, some zone-read stuff, and stuff Dooley says he has always wanted to do.
The point? Lock is getting his wish. Odom says his quarterback waited until Dooley’s hiring to commit to another season. Lock reportedly made it be known he wanted to learn some NFL concepts to prepare him for the 2019 draft.
“The trick is, it’s not this hodge-podge of shit,” Dooley said.
Lock was honored recently as one of 35 players invited to the NCAA Elite Student-Athlete Symposium. In the second year of existence for football, it teaches life skills, agent selection and financial awareness.
“I’m trying to give him every tool imaginable,” Odom said.
Something to prove? There is a lot of that at Missouri. Dooley has already thought ahead to how this latest job move might play out.
“Nobody is going to change their opinion on whether this was a dumb hire or a good hire,” Dooley said. “If we go out there and stink next year, we stink. It’s a dumb hire.
