A Paperinik fic idea :
Some rich guy offers a very big reward for anyone uncovering PK's secret identity. Usually Scrooge doesn't give a flap about Paperinik, except to shake his cane at him when he's on the wrong end of PK's shenanigans, or when he asks Donald to pass a message to his friend . But now, a reward?? A BIG reward ?? $w$ NOW we're talking!
So Scrooge embarks on a mission to find out PK's identity, while Donald, who heard about it, panicks and goes on to try and sabotage every attempt; especially when Scrooge gets his hand on a photo that proves clearly Donald is Paperinik. I can't decide if it would take place in regular PK or PKNA continuity, but in PKNA, even Uno can't stop Scrooge (and he can't delete the photo as it's not digitalised). Donald's bad luck strikes full force in this story : hijinks ensue, whacky race between Scrooge hellbent on getting this picture and Donald trying to stop him without gving himself away, either as Paperinik or by staying hidden while putting banana peels on the street (and slipping on them) .
They both reach at the same time the building where Scrooge is supposed to give the picture in a sealed envelope (he hasn't had time to check it himself), and of course Scrooge realises Donald has been sabotaging him.
"Yoo good for nothing nephew, you can't help but cost me time and money! If you want the reward, you have to earn it!"
"I don't care about the reward! Please, Uncle Scrooge, you can't give this photo!"
"And why not?"
"I..."
It's the closest Donald has ever been to reveal his secret identity to Scrooge, but he can't, even now, and he's just staring beggingly at Scrooge. Scrooge who glares back at him. But who has seen Donald beg and whine his way out of many situations. He knows how petulant, lazy, angry Donald looks. This...this is different. This is Donald being desperate.
"Please. If you do it, this...this will change everything for Paperinik. And for me."
Scrooge wavers, then seels himself.
"Out of my way, nephew, I've had a long day," before he pushes Donald out of the way.
Once Scrooge is inside the building and as he climbs up, however...he hears people talking about the situation; how Paperinik's identity will be broadcast on all televisions in the evening.
"Man, I can't wait to see who it is!"
"Yeah, with all the damage he's caused before, he's bound to have so many angry people after him!"
"I wonder where he lives?"
"You think he got any family ? A wife, kids?"
"Nah, this lunatic works alone, I bet he doesn't have a home to return to!"
"Imagine the look on his friends's face if he turns out to be just some average lame-o"
Etc etc
As Scrooge climbs up the stairs, we cut to several people waiting impatiently in front of their TV: friends and family of Donald, Donald himself being utterly depressed in his lair (if PKNA verse, Uno is trying to motivate him to move and brace himself for the upcoming fallout), average citizens, journalists, criminals of every kind sharpening and loading their weapons... With Scrooge thinking back on Paperinik's pranks who's infuriated him before (the mattress! He still hasn't let it go!), but also all the times he's fought to defend Scrooge, and he keeps thinking about Donald's pleading eyes
"Please, you can't give this photo!"
"Sentiment doesn't make money, he should learn about it someday if he ever wants to make it far" he grumbles to himself.
And then. Something hits him. He slowly comes to a halt. Right in front of the rich guy's door.
"This will change everything. For Paperinik. And for me."
"Oh," he says as the door opens, "I'm such a fool. How could I not notice before?"
Cut to Donald watching the broadcast.... Aaaaand by some event which I let you imagine, the photo is NOT the compromising one, but it's pointing out to like, Gloomgold or Rockerduck or a Beagle Boy, which causes a lot of trouble for them but all ends well for Paperinik.
Later on Scrooge bangs the door of Donald's house open, startling him awake from his TV nap (all these emotions took a toll on him):
"DONALD! You better thank me for keeping your secret!"
"W-w-what"
"Why didn't you tell me Paperinik is your boyfriend?? You think I wouldn't have approved ?? What do you think I've seen back in my days??"
So yeah, Scrooge is now patting himself on the back for being a good ally but also now he's pestering Donald for never bringing his boyfriend home for dinner.
"If it's a serious relationship, Huey, Dewey and Louie should have a chance to meet their potential step-father properly!" He rants to Grandma Donald over tea and biscuits.
"You just want to claim Paperinik as your in-law, don't you?"
"Hmpf. I can tell you, he's an infuriating scoundrel but at least he has good taste."
"...Are you talking about Donald or Paperinik??"
#paperinik#paperinik new adventures#duck comics#la bande à picsou#listen PK being mistaken for Donald's boyfriend is my fave fanfic trope for these comics#paperinik gay icon of duckburg#oh i just noticed I'm posting this on pride month.

Gift
This is part of series of connected PKNA/Donuno -oneshots, that I'm slowly starting to translate. I'll eventually drop the whole thing in AO3, but consider this as a Christmas present!
This short fic takes place right after PKNA #13: The Darkest Night (you can find it on Tumbrl; try @uncaaj).
****
On his way back to Duckburg from Bravestone, Donald felt tired, fatigued and irritated. That the Evrons had the gall to choose Christmas night out of all nights to attack a peaceful little town… And to top it all, when Commander Westcock had finally waltzed in – being fashianably late, like he was some big shot...! – then, as a reward for all his troubles, the man had dared to treat him with such an aggressively overbearing manner that even now it made Donald to grit his teeth.
“Nothing I do is ever enough, right?”
‹…Are you talking to me, Duck Avenger?›
“Ah… it was nothing, One. I'm just a little tired.”
‹Then rest. I can pilot the Duckmobile on remote control.›
The offer was certainly tempting. Tomorrow there would be an early wake-up call, when the boys would rush downstairs to open their presents, and right after breakfast they would have to go round to Grandma's for Christmas dinner.
“Well, if you’re sure you don't mind...”
‹Why would I? Even heroes need to sleep sometimes, you know.›
“This hero would need a couple of months or a year to catch up on his sleep deprivation”, Donald yawned as he wrapped his cape around himself and took a more comfortable position in his pilot's chair as the green indicator light on the dashboard lit up as a proof that the remote control was turned on.
‹I'm afraid that I can't offer you such a long nap, but would half an hour be okay for the first aid? I'll wake you up when we arrive to the Duckburg.›
“Thank you, One.” He leaned his head against the headrest of the seat and let his tired eyes fall shut. “Oh, and sorry.”
‹Why so, hero?›
"I didn't find anything to buy you for a Christmas present," Donald answered with a bit of a grimace. "I'll try to come up with something after the holidays... but my funds are hardly enough for anything very fancy, let alone your biggest wish."
‹My… what?›
“You know”, Donald insisted with a worn wave of his hand, “that something that you wouldn't be able to buy even if you had all of Ducklair's possessions at your disposal.”
‹Oh… that.› One chuckled, sounding oddly fond… well, not all that odd, actually; the AI was little by little starting to behave much more human than what Donald had first thought he was even capable off, or what One himself was willing to admit. “No need to worry about that, Duck Avenger… You already gave it to me – or part of it, at least.›
Donald's heavy eyelids fluttered open. “What?! I did? When?”
‹When you said we were friends.›
He did remember it: One puzzled expression and slightly widened eyes as the AI demanded confirmation from him of what he had just said.
“I do not understand…”
He could hear a smile in One's voice as he answered: ‹You do understand, hero. You just need time to process.›
Indeed. As Donald turned One's words over in his tired mind, the pieces slowly fell into place, and he suddenly felt heat on his face. "Was… your great wish just that? a friend?”
‹It’s definitely a large part of it›, One admitted. ‹And there’s nothing “just” in it, either. I'm afraid that without your, erm, inspiring company I might well have end up losing my mind, just like happened to my poor brother Two… although I do believe I could do with a little less of your questionable humor.›
“Aww, One… I didn't know you were such a sentimental type of a person!” Donald cooed with a teasing voice to hide his own affection. Did he really mean that much to One – him, Donald Duck, the hot-headed klutz, and a golden child of misfortune?
The AI sighed heavily. ‹I guess I made a mistake telling you this, didn't I?›
“There's no reason to feel embarrassed! I think that was an adorable thing to say, you big, green dork!”
‹Please stop.›
Donald grinned and relaxed again against the back of his seat. In a way, he would have liked to tease One a little more – after all, the AI never let pass any change to tease him – but on the other hand, One was in control of the Duckmobile right now, and the smooth ride could quickly turn into a bumpy one if his partner got irritated enough.
“Okay, okay; I’ll let it slide. But it was still really sweet.”
‹Bah.›
“And despite all that, I'm still going to buy you a present, so don't get too fussy about it. That's what friends do.”
One was silent for a moment. ‹If that’s the case, then I must give you something too.›
Ouch. And once again, his wit had come back to bite him on the ankle. “You have already given more than enough”, Donald hastened to assure. “The Duckmobile, the Extransformer Shield, the secret base at Ducklair Tower… not to mention all the delicious snacks you've made for me.”
‹If giving gifts is, indeed, a part of friendship, then it also applies to me›, One countered, with a serious tone of voice that clearly accepted no arguments. ‹But now, you really need to rest. I'll wake you up once it’s time to get out.›
“I trust in it”, Donald said with a yawn and curled up in his seat. “I trust in you…” he mumbled, before mechanical whirring and light rocking of the Viittamobile's lulled him into the land of sleep.
Through his dream he could hear One’s familiar voice sighing, ‹What wouldn’t I do for you, hero…?›
****
A few days later, Donald gave One a framed autograph of Duckie Starry, the shining star actress of Anxieties, who had been more than happy to hand one for her hero Duck Avenger. The AI had clearly been delighted by the present and then squirmed awkwardly as he offered Donald his own gift: a vintage miniature model of the flagship of the original Star Battles trilogy.
‹It’s nothing special… I don’t know all that much about your interests outside of work…›
“Are you serious?! No way, I love it!” Donald blurted, genuinely amazed. “I don't understand how you even got your hands on this! I thought these would cost a fortune -” he broke off, giving One a hard stare. “…You didn't pay crazy sums for this, did you?”
One smiled shyly. ‹Not at all. I got my hands on several broken models cheaply and assembled this from their parts. I understand it means that this model’s monetary value is about non-existent -›
“Who cares?” Donald said and gently hugged the model to his chest. “I will treasure this forever! I remember how I used to beg my grandmother and uncle Scrooge to by me one of these when I was just a little chick…"
‹And you didn't still get it?›
Donald snorted. “From Uncle Scrooge's point of view, miniature models are just a waste of money, and my grandma, on the other hand, thought that I would just have broken it right away – which, admittedly, is probably quite true. I used to be a little rascal back then…”
‹I could argue that you're still quite a rascal on this day›, One pointed out with a grin.
“Haar haar. Which one of us was the noisy brat who keeps eavesdropping on our neighbors, again?” Donald purred back.
‹I solemnly swear that nowadays I exclusively limit such actions to our dear friend Angus Fangus.›
“Ah, well then. He’s a special case, after all”, Aku laughed. “Okay, work calls. May I have my outfit, One?”
‹Of course, hero. Would you like me to prepare a little snack for you after you return from the scout tour?›
“I certainly wouldn't mind if you had a couple of sandwiches waiting for me by then.”
‹It's a deal.›
Little later Donald, now all suited up, climbed into Duckmobile and waved his hand to One, who had followed him to the underground hangar in one of his smaller and more mobile forms. “See you soon!”
‹Good luck. Bread and tea will be waiting upstairs when you're ready.›
Donald smiled. Being the Duck Avenger had always been an awesome experience – the danger, the excitement, the adrenaline rush pulsating in his veins – but it was all made even better by a friend at his side; someone whom he could trust, who helped and supported him and, when necessary, even patched up the wounds he received during the nightly ventures.
I wasn’t any lesser as a hero before I met One, Donald thought, and if necessary, Duck Avenger could definitely survive without him again…
…but even still, now I really hope there will never be a day when he no longer stands by my side…!

Hi! Welcome to the blog. You are cordially invited to join us and tens of other tumblr users worldwide in exploring Duckverse comics!
Important information:
"What are you reading?" We will start with the Paperinik New Adventures series, which stars Donald Duck as the Duck Avenger vigilante. Soon, we will also begin exploring the Don Rosa library of Uncle Scrooge and Donald Duck comics alongside PK.
"How can I participate?" Other than reading the comics with us, you can post using the hashtags #dcrc (Duck Comic Reading Club), #dcrc week 1, #dcrc paperinik, etc. This blog will try to reblog and share content posted by readers here. Feel free to @ me or send asks or post submissions with your comments and reactions! Also, invite your friends to read along with you. The goal of this blog is to explore new media or return to old favorites together, and have fun doing it.
"I don't have physical copies or translations of this comic. Can I still participate?" Yes! (As always when it comes to free websites such as these, be careful and proceed with caution. Their content does not always have your wellbeing in their best interests.)
"Is there a schedule?" Yes. Your "assignments" begin each Saturday, with the first week being June 1-7, the second being June 8-14, and so on. The day before each "assignment" begins, I will make a post detailing the title, date, origins, I.N.D.U.C.K.S. link, summary, and so on of what we will spend the next week reading and discussing.
"What if I fall behind?" That's okay! Some of the issues are pretty long, while others are shorter; some stories require continuity, but others don't.

hi. you've mentioned Donald Duck a few times in your posts, with scrooge being one step removed from pulp heroes, Donalds Paparinik (Italian superhero identity which I love, the new PK Adventures where lovely) in terms of their relation to the Diabolik line of European superheroes and Donalds general tendency to run head first down slippery slopes. so I'm wondering if you have any further thoughts on his comics and weird place in the superhero/pulp world
Oh God, do I. I mostly wanna talk about the superhero side of things but I feel like it's worth mentioning I grew up with Donald Duck comics, specifically the Carl Barks ones. The picture above wasn't taken by me but I own and recognize like 7 of the books in it, my mom always bought these that collected several of his stories and had these beautiful painting covers so we could read them together, and I still flip through them on occasion and love them very much (I really wanna buy a translated edition of Life and Times of Scrooge McDuck to read with her but those cost a liver). Donald Duck was one of my childhood hyperfixations and I got my hands on all the comics and movies and cartoons I could find with him, and I actually did read several of the Italian comics, I could go down the stationery right now and grab 5. I first stumbled on Paperinik via those, and for long I didn't think much of it, because Donald Duck moonlighting as a superhero for decades isn't the kind of thing that comes up often. I just thought Paperinik was a weird but funny idea for the longest time and always liked rereading a story where he puts on the costume to scare a rich jerk into leaving his granny's farm alone. And THEN I stumbled onto PKNA, Paperinik New Adventures, and oh my god this rules so much.
Actually one of the best superhero comics I've ever read, it's just constantly and consistently doing these wild absurd stories and swings into genre territory and quality storytelling. It's famous for opening it's first issue with aliens genociding an entire planet and I thought that was kinda overselled, and it's not frequently this dark (sometimes it actually gets darker though, and I probably stopped before it could really get there), but it is a very weird comic. It's more akin to Fantastic Four's serialized consistency than any kind of graphic novel prestige storyline but it is frequently so good at what it does, even the lamer issues are still worth reading. I like describing it as Donald Duck falling headfirst into Batman-level resources, forced to deal with Superman problems (on both the "huge sci-fi horrors" and "people being really, really irresponsible dicks" ends), while trying to stay Ditko's Spider-Man and failing. These do not feel quite like any Donald Duck comics I'd read before and while they would hold up with a different character, I do think they deserve credit for how they make it still always feel like you're reading a Donald Duck story, if a slightly different one. In fact I'd even say PKNA actually makes the concept feel more suited for Donald Duck in a way that brought the idea full circle.
To those of you that don't know, Paperinik started as a villain, or more of a revenge fantasy. By that point there was a tradition of doing a lot of parody stories with Donald that started in 1953. By the late 60s, readers were dissatisfied with Donald Duck always constantly being mistreated by the rest of the supporting cast and losing unfairly, so it was decided to have one of those parodies feature Donald Duck as uncovering the fortune and resources of "Fantomius" and becoming a masked rogue able to get back at them by achieving the impossible, in that he both steals from Scrooge and defeats Gladstone's luck by framing him for it.
He had a stint as a master thief until it was decided it made him too mean, so he morphed into a superhero trying to overcome his prior bad reputation and using his new skills and gadgets (still prone to malfunctioning) to deal with his typical rogues and new ones, and having the admiration of his nephews who don't know that Unca Donald and Paperinik are the same. PKNA, in turn, was sort of a reboot, shedding the previous history and pretty much getting rid of Donald's traditional supporting cast and having Donald stumble onto a different set of resources and means to fight crime, but keeping the idea of Donald Duck having a superhero alter-ego that nobody suspects. The scale and menace of the threats he's up against DRASTICALLY increases, and if anything that fact is crucial to what allows these to still feel like Donald Duck stories, even with Paperinik being a genuinely impressive and cool hero able to save the world. Nobody believes Donald Duck could be a cool and impressive person if he tried, and so Paperinik becomes not just a power fantasy, or a call to something better or be someone better, but it becomes a key component of Donald Duck stories: a thankless job he's expected to do that he doesn't want to do until his pride or something crucial is on the line. These are still parables about human failures and what can be learned from them.
I'd even say a big part of why they succeed is because they introduce a character who can pick up Donald's slack as a comically unpleasant ill-tempered grouch in need of a lesson protagonist in Angus Fangus, a character who's sort of J Jonah Jameson meets Harvey Bullock. Angus has it out for Paperinik and gets up to a lot of the antics you would traditionally expect Donald to be doing if this was a classic Donald Duck comic (and even has a Gladstone-esque rival of his own in another reporter), and getting to learn lessons and be humbled and even have his own set of impressive moments. The choice to give an entirely new cast around Donald greatly added to the comic's ability to experiment and do new things while still keeping the core of Donald.
I actually like a lot of these new dynamics better than the ones he traditionally has, I love The Raider and Lyla and One and oh god Xadhoom, Xadhoom is so fucking cool, such a cool design and name, this powerful roaring supernova stickbug alien person in a crusade of murderous vengeance who names herself her language's equivalent of creditor because the death of her entire planet is the DEBT SHE WILL COLLECT IN BLOOD ENERGY and she is just the most 90s anti-hero ever made except she's stuck in a Donald Duck comic getting into comedic situations and learning to laugh and feel emotions and learn from her mistakes again whether she likes it or not. These two are so good together.
Even with a superhero lair and supercomputer and gadgetry handed to him, Donald Duck is so comically outmatched against his opponents he still winds up winning through guile and will and comedic trickery. Donald desperately wishes he could go on self-serving ventures or just sit at home and enjoy tv, and not get dragged into dealing with murderous alien invasions, or cyberpunk revenge stories, or collapsing future timelines, and still having to solve those problems so there's a world to come back. The stories are frequently fun and they are prevailingly comedic and very good at it too, but they also get a lot out of taking weird turns into unexpected territory.
I haven't finished it because I wasn't able to find it in full or keep track of what's the og series and what's the reboot, still trying to sort that out, but god what a find this series is. What a great strange turn in the history of this great strange character.

Actually that game is called "Pk: Out of The Shadows" from 2002 and it starred Rob Paulsen as Duck Avenger and James Horan as Uno and Robert Davi as Zondag. Yes, they played those characters pretty well and gave them good personalities. At that time, the American Disney bought part of the rights to Duck Avenger from European (Italian) Disney, so they tried to market it to the American market, but without success.

Duck Comic Reading Club Week 14: Paperinik New Adventures: Trauma
Another great issue for this week. PK has been great lately. Let's get into the comic right away.
This time, the story begins with the Evronians, most precisely, with Gorthan. He's a branch-captain visiting an Evronian prison.
There is a bit of commotion, with an attempted mutiny, but the situation is rapidly handed by the Evronians in charge.
This is the only problem I have with this particular issue. The Evronians, in outer space, are a fearsome force. A race of soldiers that can overcome any obstacle. But in Earth? We'll see.
Gorthan is in the prison because he needs to meet with one particular prisoner. The one who gives his name for this issue, Trauma.
This is an amazing reveal, he's blasted right into your face. You can see how massive Trauma is compare with others of his kind.
Gorthan is there to offer Trauma a deal. It seems like Trauma was imprisoned because he was to dangerous, even for the Evronians standar.
But now, they need him.
PK has been a big trouble for the Evronians, and now they're not taking any more chances.
And now that I mention him, let's see what's PK doing.
It looks like Duckburg resident superhero is having nightmares. Poor Donald, let him sleep all night for once.
Since that's not an option anymore, PK went to patrol the city.
He's so cool.
And, then, the weirdest PK's page ever.
I swear, I thought we were on the prison planet again, because, what the hell?
We have a gang of Elvis impersonators, and also a gang of Monty Python's Life of Brian fans. Imagine the odds for this two groups to even exist. Amazing.
By the way, what's with the Elvis thing? In Darkwing Duck was also a villain whose theme was Elvis. I don't know, I guess Disney dislikes the man. I like A Little Less Conversation, but… I don't know… is weird man…
Anyway, PK beats the gangs, and the guy who was saved by him, runs away from PK. And later that rat tail SOB goes to professional hater Angus Fangus and claims PK is a criminal.
This city doesn't deserve PK.
But, let's waste no more time, is time for the fight we were promised.
Trauma has arrived and immediately makes an impact. The fear in Angus and the police's faces are palpable.
PK comes to the rescue and what we have next is the best action sequence so far in this run.
PK is throwing everything he has on Trauma, but is useless. The giant Evronian is an unstoppable force.
And the worst thing has yet to come.
Trauma launches his most powerfull atack, not to the body but to PK's mind.
The pain PK is suffering right now, you and I can feel it. You can tell, he's living an agony.
Thankfully, One takes over the Duckmovil and saves him.
But PK lost. And thanks to Angus, everybody know it. PK ran away, because he was scared.
This is so powerful.
But PK is a hero, so round two is not far away. And this time, PK has an ace up his sleeve.
HOLY COW!
PK went full Lt. Ripley in Aliens.
Some would say he went Hulkbuster but I like Aliens way more than Age of Ultron.
We were gifted with one more awesome fight, that ends with PK taking another trip to Trauma Town.
Now we know what's PK seeing in those attacks.
Turns out, 35 years old Donald is being bullied by some 40 year old dude. I know, it supposed to be in his youth years, but look at them. That flashback happened yesterday.
Trauma attack was supposed to be definitive. This was PK end.
But…
The most feared word of bullies, no. The word the weak speaks when is tired of the abuse. The word Trauma has never heard his enemies say.
Also, this is the best double page we have had so far. You could frame this and hanged on your wall.
Trauma had made a career inflicting fear in his enemies. To be confronted was new, terrible, fearful. And he couldn't take it. Trauma rans away, and PK is victorious.
That was what Trauma and the Evronians can't understand. PK is not a hero because he can't feel fear. He's a hero because, even in fear, he steps up to do what is right.
How can you not get hyped up by this?
This was amazing. The issue was packaged with action and emotion. I mention before how the Evronians are so powerful outer space, but they can't beat PK. They just can't. Not even their strongest warrior.
I don't know what's going to be next for this comic.
For now, I'm just going to enjoy it.

Donald Duck as Duck Avenger (Paperinik-Pk) and his nephews as Little Paperiniks (Paperinik Junior) as superheroes - Spiderman Spide-verse meme redraw - Happy 55th birthday Paperinik (Duck Avenger) and happy 90th birthday Donald Duck! - Happy Father's Day - Duck comics and Duckverse - My style
I'm a little late, but I wish all dear fathers, uncles and grandfathers a happy Father's Day! As with mother's day, this day is celebrated differently from country to country and they are not on the same date. In Europe, Father's Day is generally celebrated in the month of March, especially on March 19, on the Day of St. Joseph, the patron saint of Jesus and the husband of Mary, mostly in Catholic countries. While in some countries it is celebrated during June and August, and sometimes before Christmas. Most of the world celebrates Father's Day every third Sunday of June. So Happy Father's Day!
And on that occasion I drew Donald Duck as the best parent for my nephews, even though he is their uncle, he still took care of them the best and it saddens me that many people deny that. However, so that it is not always one and the same, I drew Donald Duck as a superhero and as Paperiniks (Duck Avenger), and there are also his rude and naughty, but also smart nephews Huey, Dewey and Louie Duck as little Paperiniks or Duck Avengers Junior, certainly like superheroes. And I drew this as a redraw from the popular Spiderman Spide-verse meme where Miles Morales, the future Spiderman imitates his mentor and teacher Peter Parker. That's how Donald's nephews trust their idol Donald Duck as the Duck Avenger. Yes, in a lot of European (especially Italian) comics, Donald's nephews dress up and be like the Duck Avenger. Funny, isn't it?
And I'm drawing this on the occasion of the 55th anniversary of the first appearance of Duck Avenger.
Duck Avenger was invented on this day. Duck Avenger was created in 1969 in a comic book by Guido Martina and Giovanni Carpi (correct me about the name of the author) and since then Donald has been an avenger and later he will be a real superhero. And in 1996, a comic book of new stories about Paperinik was published under the name Paperinik New Adventures (Pkna). Of course, Donald also celebrates his birthday on June 9 and this year is his jubilee 90th birthday, so I wish the best duck a happy birthday. My only apologies for the bad background, otherwise they are in the forest if anyone asks me.
If you like this drawing and this idea and this meme, feel free to like and reblog this, but don't use my same ideas without mentioning me! Thank you! And Happy Father's Day to the best uncle Donald Duck as well as happy birthday to the Duck Avenger and happy birthday to the best duck!

The story of Donald and One from friends to lovers and how One became part of the (Mc)Duck family (but it's a slow burn).
Series of connected oneshots that I've resently started to translate in english. Part 5 is now up, more will soon follow. I attempt to post one or two stories every week, depending on my schedule and how much editing each one of those needs.
It's going to be a long journey, so if you're interested, please buckle up, bring some popcorn with you and enjoy!

This explains well why Donald's nephews were not as present in the PKNA comics considering so many dark scenes and dangers that Donald Duck as Duck Avenger goes through so it makes sense that they go with the Junior Woodchucks on various world trips or stay with Grandma Duck on her farms. It's good that Donald took a liking to them and takes care of them. I also like the relationship between Duck Avenger and Xadhoom.
Duck Comic Reading Club Week 3 - June 15-21
"Xadhoom!" By Alessandro Sisti, Ezii Sisto, Stefano Intini, Disney Italia.
Translation and Dialogue by Jonathan H. Gray
This is an EXTREMEly 90s comic, mostly because of the character of Xadhoom. Her backstory hearkens back to Superman or the Silver Surfer -lone survivor of a destroyed alien race - but the attitude is all Marrow:
Xadhoom was a scientist on the peace loving Planet Xerba, but due in part to her arrogance her planet was wiped out by the Evronians. Ever since, she has devoted her life to kicking Eveonian ass.
Xadhoom rules. My interest in this comic increases dramatically every time she is on screen.
Duck-ontinuity:
Duck Avenger gets a new ride
And the nephews get written out of the book by going on an extended Junior Woodchuck trip.
This is a great comic. I am enjoying the hell out of this reread.

DCRC Week 10 PKNA
Okay, so! It's been a while. With vacation and getting rested from vacation I've had a lot of not reading pkna I did but! I'm here! I am in the mood to read PK and I did a whole bunch of homework so it's time. I will still read Ducks on the Road its just something I wanna do after I finish all the work I wanna do today rather than right now because it is. as long as it is.
Invasion time. Sitting in the coffee shop and playing the lofi lounge music because its like its basically still there. asked the coffee shop if they could guess what i was reading and surprise surprise nobody guessed paperinik the new adventures
immedaitely i am blasted with right. this is the one where i was told there was going to be angus fangus lore. i like how the translation didnt bother writing over invasione because its basically the same anyway
right, the mask! i dont remember what issue that was but i guess they're going to address. why angus fangus would order/smuggle a traditional ceremonial kiwi mask
not everybody that is infected is gonna go to the hospital donald but you know what sure. good place to start. better than scanning the entire globe in depth... their stupid quarreling is so silly
yo omg that post wasnt kidding when he said angus fangus maori. are we gonna get rare 90s good indigenous people representation?????
i cant believe i'm saying this but they actually made angus fangus look so cool right here
im so curious. again i cant believe im saying this but i'm so curious i am hooked i get angus fangus makes beef easily btu this is no ordinary beef
im holding my breath at the nebula introduction. like i'm still not entirely sure what they're doing with this but i do not like where this is going! boy oh boy i dont!
little does donald kno--(GETS SHOT) and then pk died in the snow the end
HELP WHEN I SAID THAT I DID NOT THINK THERE WOULD BE AN ACTUAL pk is dead in the snow FAKEOUT. at least to the evronians like we all know he's alive
THE WAY I SAID "Angus Fangus Environmental Hero???" out loud at the sight of these panels im so
i... the way they made angus fangus actually scared and the... i like this issue. i'm still not done with it but i like this issue and i'm enjoying my time with it and i. dont mind where they're going with this
i cant believe im saying this but he actually looks kinda cute here. they made me root for the guy
she's so wonderful
im so mad its actually kinda cute. their relationship is so cute right here i just. angus is trying to find some animosity towards donald other than just surprise and pk is just like any time buddy
FHUEOAJFOEIAJ THIS PANEL
alright! and that's... invasion! cog i'm so. i did not expect to like this one as much as i did there was a scare in here but yeah. earthquake tier honestly i Really Really enjoyed reading it and i just. im so proud of them. media from the 90s having decent indigenous representation? whaaaa? and its such a treat to see and i just. its a treat to see angus fangus' character rounded out its a treat to see this comic in general oh. ohohoho.

hey ista, it's kimo from the finding mr wright dating sim project! how you've been? saw you pop up in the donald duck/papernik tags and wanted to say hi.
Oh wow, I remember that project a bit, that takes me way back!
It's a pretty funny coincidence since I have a short Ace Attorney fic I should publish in the month, after not writing for this fandom since 4 or 5 years?
It's funny we meet again in the Paperinik fandom ^^
I've grown up with every kind of Duck comics (they're very popular over here, with a lot of comic magazines about them), and Paperinik (classical and Evron verse alike) was my absolute fave Donald series. I grew up with the Pikappa run though, it's only very recently that I got my hands on the origin PK New Adventures run, and I just finished binge reading it! A very fun read, and a series I highly recommend if you want to see Donald being a alien-fighting superhero!
Other than that, I've been hyperfixated cruising in the Super Mario fandom for a while, got back to writing Asterix fics, still fighting for my Pokemon rareships...
What about you ? How's it been?
