Rapunzel type tower situation but the tower is a giant mimic and hunts in the way a pitcher plant does. Yes, fair knight. Climb up this conveniently long hair, follow the sweet smell, pull yourself up and over the window sill and fall in to the far below.

Carnivorous plants! Not quite as ferocious as you may have seen them depicted in fiction, but still very cool. There are numerous different species of carnivorous plants, and several different mechanisms for trapping and consuming prey. Many are at risk (such as the green pitcher plant depicted on the left and the Venus flytrap on the right, considered critically endangered and vulnerable by the IUCN respectively) due to threats including habitat loss, poaching, invasive species, and pollution.

Nepenthes ovata is an endemic pitcher plant that occurs in the high mountains around Lake Toba, North Sumatra, at 1700-2100m. I love how they bury their lower pitchers in the mosses, and the upper pitchers differ in colour (green) and shape. 卵形猪笼草

A popular insectivorous perennial hybrid, Sarracenia x stevensii (pitcher plant) has tall, slender, reddish-pink pitchers. These plants need a bright light in a frost free position with a moist but well–drained, acidic growing medium.

Trying my luck with Lady Luck (aka. Bloody Mary), a Nepenthes ampullaria x ventricosa hybrid. I really like how the visuals for this one turned out with the live sphagnum moss top dressing!
