Andre/Geri:

- Andre snores when he sleeps. It surprised Geri one flight to somewhere not in Spain, probably for a Champions game. He went to go but Andre about Portugal and their snacks when he saw the young man leaning his head against the window, sleeping. What followed was a loud sound! A snore created through his nostrils and the faintest of parted lips, seeing such strength in the low pitch of it made Geri shake his head and chuckle. He proceeded to place objects on Andre to see which can stay on the man’s face without falling.

- Andre finds out by accident that Geri is ticklish. They’re on the coach in one of the numerous lounging areas in Camp Nou watching a presser. Geri complains that something about it is boring or not revealing enough juicy details so he grabs the remote. He declares he’s gonna change it to a telenovela or something with more drama. Andre thinks they should finish the presser. They fight for the remote. After a few seconds of pulling the remote back and forth Andre poked Geri’s side just to see what would happen. Geri’s lips twitch so Andre pokes him again. He sees Geri’s hand on the remote loosen. Andre continues to which Geri goes between laughing and cursing.

- Geri plays tour guide to Andre after Andre asks to see more of the city. This ends up with Geri bringing him to many places and revealing personal antecedents. He points out the hidden garden in the Gothic Quarter that he used to go to as a teen. He brings Andre to the Hospital de Sant Pau to show off hidden architecture and medical history explaining that his mother is a doctor. He brings him to Port Vell and shows a particular sailboat that he once covered in post it’s.

- Geri said “I need to know the dirty jokes.” Andre says wanting to learn Portuguese should be more than about wanting to know curse words. Geri insists “I need to know the dirty stuff.” Andre can’t tell if this is Geri’s way to get them to spend more time or not. Geri says “I need to know how to talk dirty.” Andre blushes.

Life Lately: January Highlights and Things I am Grateful for

I started writing this in the wake of news that a fire broke in Pandacan, Manila-- one that is so huge the skyway in construction collapsed and it's only February 1. When the new decade promised big things coming for us, we didn't think that it would be the series of unfortunate events that happened in probably one of the longest January we've all ever been but here we are alive in the middle of February. (Yes, it's almost Valentine's Day when I got to wrap this one up, this month is seriously fleeting fast)

While that seems to be a heavy start, my heart is filled with gratitude for the January that was. After all, I just turned twenty-five *birthday confetti* and here are some the highlights and the things I am thankful for.

♡ No big birthday travel this year but had pockets of celebration with almost everyone I hold dear to my heart (translation: family, friends, and food) I am grateful beyond words.

♡ Finally got to volunteer for an animal shelter which I've been meaning to do since college. All thanks to my work mates Chiqui and Chen  for tagging me along to PAWSSION Project where the rescued pets from Taal were brought.

♡ Hello to my dream hair. For the first time in forever, my dream haircut was achieved. although it requires styling effort post-aura treatment, I'm happy with the initial result (thanks you, Piandre Feliz)

♡ I know I am blessed and thankful for GP Team but this month, I have this immense feeling of gratitude brought by the joy I see every day. Every huddle meeting and lunch/dinner break becomes a comedy bar session with a little bit of serious business in between.

♡ City lights ✨ Had a quiet birthday salubong in a roof top bar just staring at the city lights and still finding peace in it.

♡ Wrote a lot of fiction and non-fiction stories (& shenanigans) in January and now they are all lined up for Q1 Content. Watch out for tiny tales for Tuesdays and more!

There is a lot more tiny bits to be thankful for but above all I thank God because we are still alive; no matter what disaster or outbreak or damage  done to our planet we are given another day  to live. To hopefully figure out and live up to our purpose. To love again.

I had my hair cut (GORGEOUS GLORIOUS HAIR) on a whim and there were a lot of people in Piandre having their hair and nails done for the occasion. Such a busy day for salons. When I came back to the office, the UX team set a booth up where people can make artworks and I made two. Looking back to my year since it’s already December, I can honestly say that I have achieved all of these. I’m definitely more than 100% happier than I was in January 1, 2018. :D
