ask and you shall receive >:D thoughts on yandere valorant (any) duelists when their s/o (healer) treat another agent with more serious injuries
𝕐𝕒𝕟𝕕𝕖𝕣𝕖 𝔻𝕦𝕖𝕝𝕚𝕤𝕥𝕤
Tumblr media
Words: 511
Tumblr media Tumblr media
He’s probably the most sane duelist, which isn’t hard to achieve.
Will let you finish healing the agent, you look so cute when focused.
But he hangs around behind you the whole time.
When you finish he’s stealing you away right after.
For this move of yours he’ll try to keep you away from the others for a while.
By chance, do you want to explore his arena?
Tumblr media
She’ll ‘let you help’ the other agent.
But that time is spent just bothering you.
She tries to steal your attention from the agent the whole time.
If that doesn’t work she’ll start bringing up her own, small injuries.
Whining and moaning, getting progressively louder until she gets your attention.
Tumblr media
Doesn’t even let you treat the other agent.
All your attention, whether you like it or not, will be on her.
But if that doesn’t work, she’s not afraid to bring others into this.
Someone will come find you just so you can get her to stop complaining.
So in the end you’ll be stuck with her in the end either way.
Tumblr media
Absolutely does not let you help the other agent.
Will start guilt tripping you about this.
Also lies about anything he can think of in the moment.
Will try to physically keep you away from the agent.
Does all this while calling for Sage or Skye to help them instead.
If you wanted to help someone so badly, why don’t you help him?
Don’t misbehave, or you’ll have to help yourself.
Tumblr media
If anything, the agent is likely seriously injured due to Raze.
Before you could even step in their direction, she’s getting in your face.
She’s trying to make you forget about them and their condition.
Will pull you away from the area, so the agent is out of view and heairn range.
Is aware she’ll be heavily scolded, given chores and have missions revoked because of her behaviour.
So she attaches herself to your hip until then.
But even then, if that agent doesn’t stay away, who’s to say they won’t end up in the infirmary again?
Tumblr media
As much as she want’s to pull you away from them, she does have an image to uphold.
So she reluctantly let you finish healing them.
But not with glaring at said agent.
When you return to her and get in arm's length, she’s not letting you go again.
Practically forces you to pamper her with heals as a form of apology. (Even if she doesn’t need it.)
If you have that much energy to go running around after the others, you wouldn't mind sharing. Right?
Tumblr media
You’ll need to try convince him to let you heal the injured agent.
Which you’ll likely fail at.
But if so, he’s hanging around you two the whole time.
Laying a hand on your waist, so you ‘don’t go running off.’
If he is injured though, he becomes your top priority no matter what.
At this point he’ll teleport you both back for extra alone time.
Won’t let that agent be around you at all at base.

ᴘᴀɪʀɪɴɢ: phoenix x valorant agent male reader
Tumblr media
ꜱᴜᴍᴍᴀʀʏ: spending time apart is never acceptable to him.
mailmango: I wanna see Phoenix not letting reader out of his cuddles after a particularly long time apart (two days as opposed to one) because that his water boyfie
ᴡᴏʀᴅ ᴄᴏᴜɴᴛ: 908
ᴡᴀʀɴɪɴɢꜱ: for me none, lmk
Tumblr media
☾⋆☆⋆☽
"Shaanxi's mayor called and asked for help, so seeing as it's Sage's home turf, she's leading the mission. She's your captain, aye, Phoenix?" Brimstone's eyes are pointed heavily on Phoenix, almost like he's pinning the man down with a look.
Phoenix takes it all in stride, despite how threatening it seems to be, "No need to question me, boss man. I got it!"
Brimstone then turns to you, his eyes softening substantially. "On the other hand, we got reports from Raze that Brazil's bay state is in a bit of a pinch. Lotta water 'round for you to play around with, Downpour."
Phoenix immediately objects, stepping between you two and covering line of sight with a raised finger. "Hold on, Brim, we not goin' together?"
The commander sighs in turn, "We've been over this, Phoenix. You two don't exactly go well together–"
"We go amazing together."
"Fire and water, Phoenix. You create something, he'll," He points his hand at you like you're suddenly a culprit, even if you are in this hypothetical situation, "just smother it."
"I–"
"It's final!"
☾⋆☆⋆☽
He should've argued harder, Phoenix thinks while he's on the mission. Even afterwards, when the agents take a little break before returning home, he's regretful. Shaanxi's beautiful and all: nice weather, respectful people–if a bit amazed by his foreigness–lotta fun with a local (Sage) as your tour guide.
Phoenix never has his way when the two of you are split. The logic is sound and clear, and everyone in the team agrees fire and water don't mix. Jett or Gecko might argue for chemistry reasons, but it never helps. None of it will ever stop him from trying, anyway.
When Phoenix steps back into HQ, he's never been happier before (even if he says that every time).
Cypher often says the Radiants' powers match them. Jett's cool and a lover of speed, so wind fits great for her. Sage is calm and caring, and so is her healing power.
Phoenix is definitely a fire. He's always flickering with excitement. He can't stay idle, he's always rushing to grow larger in some way or other. You know how flames cling and spread to anything flammable near them? That's you.
Even if you're water, he clings to you like a flame engulfing you in its warmth. You're calmer on the other end, but you still rest an arm over the small of his back and cradle the back of his head.
He's got his head in the crook of your neck, like he's trying to inhale your very being to store you in the forefront of his mind.
Besides the fact it's cute, it tickles...
"Phen," You chuckle, both from the tickling and the situation. "it's been two days."
"That is not an okay amount of time!" Phoenix pulls away, sitting up on your laugh to pound your chest harmlessly. "Seriously, it's like you don't even love me."
You huff, sitting up to meet his eye. "You don't mean that."
He wants to say he does, to tease you, to play, but he can't, not to you. "No, I don't." He says, utterly defeated.
"Good." You lean closer to steal a quick kiss. Tender and soft, and Phoenix would usually want more, but there are always other ways of closeness.
He collapses against you, forcing you back flush onto the bed to press himself against you. When every part of him is against a part of yours, legs tangled, arms around your neck, side of his face against yours, he sighs like he's complete. "I missed youuu!"
"I know." You say, and though you might've rolled your eyes at the repetition, you don't. Instead, you place your hand on his cheek and smooth your thumb over his cheekbone.
He positively melts into the touch with a blatant groan. "Say you miss me."
"I missed you." You reply easily.
"Say it like you mean it." He demands with a pout, and how could you deny him?
"I missed you."
"Aaaah...you're my boyfriend!" Phoenix drawls, like he's drunk, like you're fresh into the relationship in your honeymoon phase. "My one! Loml!"
"Loml?"
He clicks his tongue disappointedly. He sets his eyes on you with a deadpan glare. "LOML, like love of my life, you know."
"Ahhhh." So that's what that means.
Phoenix pats your cheek playfully for it. "No way you've been seein' LOML, LOML, this my boyfie, the LOML, on my insta stories that you always like n' never questioned it."
"I kinda learned to ignore it, I don't know." You answer truthfully.
"You stupid, stupid man." He teases in that silly little accent of his, stewpid. You have to hold in your laugh to tease him next.
"Heyy!" You all but pout at him.
"I'm sorry," As expected, he falls for it instantly, surging forward to press apologetic little kisses to your face, muttering a new "I'm sorry," with each one.
"Aw, you're okay, big man." You finally let go of your laugh and redirect his kisses to your lips. "C'mere."
They say water smothers fire, but whenever you're around, Phoenix is more motivated than if he were anywhere else in the world. He's more excited than when he's on stage, more focused than when he's on mission, happier than he's ever been. You can say the same thing, that he's the one to turn your lazy rivers into rapid streams.
Neither of you would have it any other way.

Sages Brother
Male Reader x Phoenix
‘The older brother of Sage, has caught the flaming hero’s heart it seems’
- Note: I am not a writer and I do not proof read it often as I do these for fun -
— Enjoy —
Being the older brother of the Legendary Sage, was a title that caused you many issues. Just like Sage, you also had power of ice, the only issue was the toll it took on you. Compared to your sister, you were more of a wild destructive user who seemed to control far more power, yet the price of nose bleeds and internal bleeding from overuse outweighed the need or want to use your power. While you were never against your sister in being a Valorant agent, you only agreed to be an on-call agent and preferred to spent your time working as a bartender like you had dreamed of.
“ I know this is a lot to ask, but I need your assistance brother. The new area we will be attacking seems to be a base, it’s unknown just who we might be against. I know it’s a lot to ask when you just recovered from the last mission” Sage seemed to quiet down her voice dying out as she seemed upset in general. You knew she never liked to bug you or ask you for help, especially when she had to stop your bleeding herself.
“ Sage I will help please do not feel bad” You spoke, her eyes quickly closing as she nodded her head, a nervous habit she had gained, one you had witnessed throughout her teenage years.
“ I will send you the details! Please be at the base tomorrow at 5 am,” hearing her call out as she took off running, her feet carrying her out of the bar as you decided to close early for once, maybe it wouldn’t hurt to think about a game plan to deal with the teammates you had heard her mention.
Yoru, Jett, Killjoy and Phoenix, people you didn’t really mind but were not very close too, due to not being a full time member. You had met Yoru multiply times, due to him being injured too much, and Jett was your sister in law, so you were already used to her attitude. Killjoy and Raze were actual people who visited your bar enough to put faces together, they always ordered the same drinks, rum and coke and a Shirley temple each, and then would rant about their new inventions together or involve you in such creation. Yet Phoenix was a mystery to you. You had met him once, on another mission, reckless and irresponsible, and charmingly stupid.
He hadn’t told you about his ability and watching him run head first into bullets only to reappear behind you was traumatizing to say the least.
Yet making the best of situations was all you could do, you glanced at the paperwork with different names and their powers. His picture was the first one you noticed, curly hair mixed with bright orange, quite a unique look, in your eyes at least. His dark amber eyes circled with a dull brown, it was one of the first things you noticed. Each had unique eyes, Jett being one you heard about often from Sage, you had always looked people in the eyes before you asked for their name.
You decided it was best to head home and prepare for whatever might occur in the near future, knowing you would be on this mission for who knows how long, especially with people who went better fit for action.
With a heavy mindset you turned the sign and headed up to your room, your mind somehow switching to your teammates, your mindset stopping on one male, the heat raising to your ears as you quickly gathered your items and left out the back door. Ignoring your silly crush was going to be easy, you repeated to yourself.

Headcanons to Yandere Portgas D Ace x Reader:
WARNINGS: Yandere, kidnapping, mentions of starvation (not from Ace), lovesick, insecurity, manipulation, jealousy and etc.
SUMMARY: Although Portgas D Ace could hardly find any treasure in the land of Wano, he had found something far more priceless than any jewel in the world.
MASTERLIST & REQUESTS: Before you go, have a glass of wine or better yet, recommend a good bottle. any kind of message is always a delight.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
When Ace landed in Wano, you were one of the few who met him with curiosity rather than fear. While most villagers were wary, you went up to Ace and his crew and offered to cook for them- a gesture that genuinely surprised him.
Wano had been suffering from severe food shortages, but despite this, you and the villagers didn’t hesitate to share what little you had. Ace noticed how you always prioritized the elders and kids, even after he snuck in extra food. Your constant positivity and willingness to help others, even in tough times, left a lasting impression on him.
As Ace kept returning, bringing in supplies and lending a hand with clothes and hats, he started seeing more of who you were. Your curiosity about the outside world and your selfless outlook fascinated him.
But every time he saw the officials in the Flower Capital treat you with disdain—just because you were from a poorer village—it set him off. You were doing nothing but trying to help, and yet they barely acknowledged you, often dismissing you outright. It made no sense to him why someone as kind as you faced so much disrespect.
When Ace was ready to leave, he asked if you’d come along with him. As he expected, you turned him down, laughing off the idea and saying you couldn’t just abandon your people. But he wasn’t about to give up that easily. He decided he’d go about it one of two ways, depending on his mood.
If he was calm and in the mood to reason, he’d explain how leaving would give you a chance to learn, grow stronger, and one day bring those skills back to help free Wano from Kaido’s rule. Ace never wanted you to feel less than anyone, especially not weaker than him or anyone else. But he knew you were well aware of how difficult it would be to stand up to someone like Kaido and his forces.
But if his patience was thin, he might not bother with words. Instead, he’d quietly sneak into the village at night and take you with him, even if it meant dragging you onto his ship.
One way or another, Ace was determined to give you a future beyond Wano, promising he’d bring you back someday, once you were trained and ready. But something deep down told you that he might not be willing to let you go so easily, even with his promise.
Once you were on board with him, whether you had agreed willingly or not, Ace barely let you out of his sight. He stuck close, insisting you share stories from the books you’d read back in Wano.
Ace was in what could only be described as a "honeymoon phase", though neither of you had exactly put a label on your relationship. Still, he was constantly affectionate, sticking to your side like a koala and playfully hinting for some affection in return. Although he wanted nothing more than for you to be comfortable and even affectionate back, he held off, giving you space to adjust. So, instead, he showered you with his own warmth, always finding new ways to make you laugh and feel at ease in your new life with him.
Ace often talked about his “Pops,” also known as Whitebeard, and all his crewmates, whom he considered family. He wanted you to know a bit about each of them before you met, hoping it would make things easier when you arrived. When he mentioned Izo, though, it surprised you since this was the same Izo who’d left Wano years ago, vanishing without a trace.
Your curiosity sparked up again and Ace was thrilled when you started asking questions with that familiar, eager tone, and he kept talking, doing anything he could to make you feel comfortable.
When you finally arrived on Whitebeard's ship, you couldn’t help but feel out of place; everyone seemed so skilled and capable. Other than your healing abilities, you didn’t feel like you had much to offer. But the crew welcomed you warmly, and Whitebeard himself began calling you his daughter.
Ace was overjoyed to see you settling in, but it wasn’t long before jealousy kicked in when you started spending more time with Izo and Marco.
Izo reminded you of home, and you found yourself talking to him about Wano and dreaming of taking it back someday. With Marco, you were captivated by his impressive healing skills and eager to learn everything you could from him. Seeing you bond with them so naturally left Ace feeling a little possessive.
Ace had always felt undeserving of any love or affection, burdened by the guilt of his mother’s death at his birth and the shadow of his infamous father, Gol D. Roger. His past had convinced him that love was a rare gift meant for others, but being with you changed that. Your kindness, so freely given, became something he cherished deeply, and he found himself wanting to keep it all for himself.
He would never hurt his brothers, but he found ways to keep you close, telling you that his crewmates were tied up with duties or that they simply didn’t have the time for visits. Knowing how thoughtful you were, he knew you’d never want to interrupt their work, so you often ended up playing cards or board games with him whenever you both had spare time.
Ace soon convinced Whitebeard that it would be best if you accompanied him on missions, claiming he needed a healer by his side to stay safe and given his tendency to get injured, Whitebeard saw the logic. However, the old man wasn’t oblivious either. He had noticed Ace’s looks of jealousy whenever you spent time with Izo or Marco, but he thought it was only an innocent crush and agreed to it.
This arrangement meant you were with Ace on every adventure, and while it could be tiring with his constant need to keep you by his side, you couldn’t deny that it also brought you the chance to explore more of the world. It might not be the best in the world, but it's certainly not the worst to endure. Even when he acts like a clingy koala.

“Pops, I’m worried about her. It’s been a few months already, and the most she has done is get up to walk away from us,” Thatch piped up after bringing his lunch to the Captain.
Whitebeard sighed, looking at the young girl still sitting on the ship’s bow, not shying away from the scorching sun that had been penetrating her skin for days.
He had found the girl on a small island they had passed on the way to their next destination. The island itself, if one could call it that, was but a patch of sand, a small mountain protruding from the vast ocean. He could only assume that she was abandoned there, seeing as she had no signs of wear you would expect from one at the mercy of the sea and its waves. After being brought on the Moby, she simply remained in the bow, her stare never straying away from the direction in which she was found.
Even as the storm hit the boat, she did not waver, having to be forcefully brought inside lest the waves took her away. Relieving herself and taking a few spoonfuls of food every few days was the only reason she would deviate from her scouting, waiting for what he guessed was her family to return. Any attempt the crew made to interact with her was promptly shut down as his sons simply found themselves making empty conversations with someone who would never answer; extended attempts at conversation or trying to get words out of her would only end in her walking away, placing herself in a different post and resuming her search.
“Marco,” he rumbled, glancing down at first mate, who let out a quiet hum in acknowledgment of the call as he continued to browse his father’s latest changes in health.
“How is she?”
This gets the Doctor’s attention as he moves from the papers in his hands to the girl sitting at the ship’s bow.
“Thatch, when did she eat last?”
“Ah, the last time I noticed something missing from the food I brought her was a week ago; it was less than a bite, though.”
Marco takes a minute to get the information and take in the child’s current state.
“If she keeps this up, she won’t make it another month; her body is barely hanging on as it is from the starvation, dehydration, and sun poisoning she has been taking. I would be surprised if she made it that long.”
“We have given her enough space and time; it’s time we talk whether she wants to or not,” he states, slowly standing up.
Tumblr media
Dokucha is quick to notice the overwhelming presence of the Captain behind her.
“You have to stop, brat”
A single glance from the young girl was all the man got in response to his statement before she stood up to change her position, only to be stopped by Thatch.
“Sorry, not this time, sweets.”
She glared up at him at his words, ignoring the way he winced.
“Geez, ray of sunshine aren’tcha”
“Move.”
“you’re bossy for someone who Is stowing away in our ship,” Marco stated.
“I didn’t ask to be a stowaway; my parents are coming back.”
“No.”
“They are,” she voiced, looking up at the huge man.
“They aren’t coming; your parents are not coming back.”
“You are wrong.”
“I’m sorry; it has been over a month since your parents left you behind,” Izou stated, stepping closer to the girl.
“They didn’t.”
“Then why haven’t they come back?”
“They are restocking supplies; that’s why they are taking so long,” she reasoned, glaring at the gun user.
“Sweets...” Thatch trailed off, a frown on his face at her stubbornness
“You are all liars. I won’t fall for your lies; my parents are coming back.”
Whitebeard closes his eyes, sighing; they are unlikely to get anywhere with the way it was going. He has many sons, and none were free from pain and anguish. They often turned to denial to ground themselves from people’s cruelty, so he has become adept at reaching such people.
“Leave us,” he ordered, opening his eyes.
“Pops?
“Go to your posts.”
“Aye, aye, Sir”
Dokucha watched the commanders slowly retire from the bow, some lingering for a while longer until they finally gave in to their Captain’s orders and left the two alone.
Dokucha said nothing as she simply sat back down in her original spot, ignoring the presence of the yonko
“You already know they are not coming back,” he rumbled, looking down at her small figure.
“You’re wrong,” she repeated.
“There is nothing wrong with you.”
“What are you talking about, you old man?”
“You’re parents abandoned you because they are a bunch of bastards who can’t take responsibility. It’s not because there is something wrong with you.” He stated, raising a brow when she did not respond
“They are coming back,” she finally stated, continuing her words before Whitebeard had a chance to tell her off.
“I was good; I helped them find the best treasure. I had a hard time finding some for a while, but I’m really good at it, so they will come back,” she stated, a crack to her otherwise emotionless facade beginning to shine through.
“I’m useful, so they will come back. They have to,” she muttered, her voice filling with emotions the more she went on in her tangent.
“They won’t.”
“No..No, I can find the treasure, so you just need to find them again so I can tell them,” she replied, rubbing her eyes.
He frowned, kneeling down and taking hold of the girl.
“That’s enough.”
“No, I c-
“Enough,” he repeated louder.
“If your parents loved you only when you found treasure for them, then they only loved the treasure you found for them.”
“I don’t care! They praised me if I found treasure, which made me happy; they loved me if I found treasure, and that made me happy,” she cried.
“Let me go! Let me go!” she hollered, struggling against his half.
“Stop that,” he growled.
Tumblr media
“Did she fall asleep?” Ace asked, approaching the two hours later
“Damn brat was screaming and crying for two hours before she finally gave in to exhaustion,” WHitebeard grumbled.
“Is she going to be okay?”
Whitebeard glanced at his youngest son, stopping for a minute to think.
“It will be a while before she is okay; just like all of you, she has to deal with her trauma slowly. Just hope she’s not like you and goes on assassination attempts.”
“Come on, Pops, stop bringing it up; it’s embarrassing,” the young man replied with a frown, this one only growing as his father just let out a massive laugh.
Tumblr media
Okay I ‘ll give you a hint, this one is really general, maybe if you ask I can give another hint but they are marines, technically I have given you two hints, I have never written them before and they are marines any guesses?

"So, is it always like this?" Y/N asked, watching the kids run around the lawn so carefree and happy. Some of them used their powers.
Scott looks at him. "Yeah. Isn't it like that on your earth?"
"I mean, most people don't have powers. And as far as I know, there's no mutants on my earth."
"Well, here there's a bunch of them, and we like it that way." Jean says, coming towards them.
"Yeah, I mean, look at us. We're adorable. Who could hate us?" Peter asked with a smirk as he suddenly appeared.

Can't Fix Fix A Broken Heart, Chapter 8
Tumblr media
18+, MDNI
Now on Ao3
All chapters
Things get explicit in this chapter. Yandere in full force.
TW dubcon, mental and emotional manipulation, mentions of past abuse, mentions of past SA.
Y/N POV
You heard Marco calling to you from the hallway. You didn’t know how he had found you, but he sounded angry. You came out of the closet and saw a cross Marco with his arms folded across his chest. You fought the urge to grovel immediately but did start pinching your fingers. You didn’t know what you did - but you’d do anything to get him to stop scowling at you.
“Y/N.”
“Hi Marco.”
“Why are you sleeping in the supply closet?”
“Oh. Um. I guess I just got sleepy and took a nap here? Sorry, it won’t happen again,” you said sheepishly.
“Wrong answer.”
“Ah, um…I don’t…I didn’t…um…” You floundered. Marco had never taken this kind of tone with you and you didn’t know what to do. You were starting to panic.
“Oh, Y/N, what are we going to do with you?” sighed Marco, putting his face in his hand and shaking it from side to side. “My brothers and I have really put ourselves out there for you. We saved you from the Marines, we brought you to our ship, we’ve helped you in so many ways. This is the thanks we get?”
“I am thankful! I really, really am! I’m so grateful for everything everyone has done.”
“It doesn’t feel that way. Why didn’t you tell me that you were having trouble sleeping? That you were sleeping in closets and cupboards? That you can’t sleep without your back to the wall? Do you think we can’t help you? That I can’t help you? That I’m not a good doctor? That I don’t care for my siblings? Is that what you think of us?”
“No! No, I just… Marco, please, I… j-just didn’t think it was import–”
“It IS important, Y/N. Why should we keep helping you if you don’t trust us?”
“I d-do trust you! I do!” you were close to crying from the tension radiating off Marco.
“I don’t know if we can continue to have someone on our ship that we can’t trust. That doesn’t trust us. I think our time together may have come to an end. I will inform Whitebeard on your behalf.” Marco turned his back to you and started to walk away.
You were bawling now, you didn’t want to leave the ship. You didn’t have anywhere else to go and if you left you’d have no one and and and…so you called out “wait, Marco!” Marco stopped, but didn’t turn towards you. You ran up to him and grabbed his hand from behind. He allowed you to take it but remained turned away from you.
“What, Y/N?”
“P-p-please, isn’t there anything I can d-do? T-t-to show that I t-trust you? I don’t wanna b-b-be k-k-kicked o-o-out, p-p-please..” you were sobbing so hard you couldn’t form words without stuttering.
“Well,” he said, moving his head from side to side in thought “I suppose if you showed your trust in us..”
“P-p-please!”
“No more secrets, Y/N. You have to be completely honest with us.”
“O-of course, w-whatever you want to kn-know.” You were still crying but were starting to hope that Marco would forgive you.
“And since it seems you can’t take care of yourself properly, you need to surrender that task to us. You need to listen to us when we tell you what’s best for you. I’ll meet with my brothers and we can set some rules for you to follow so you can earn our trust.” You weren’t sure what that meant exactly, but you would have agreed to let him rip out and eat your still beating heart if he asked for it.
“Y-y-yes, ok, thank you M-Marco. Thank you.” You nuzzled his hand in thanks, trying to deepen your breathing.
He turned his body all the way towards you his expression softened. He cupped your face in both of his large hands. “I know you don’t mean to hurt us, Y/N. I want you to be our good girl, and I think you want that too, isn’t that right?”
You nodded your head up and down in his hands.
“I know the perfect way you can start to earn back my trust.”
“H-how?” your crying had stopped but you were still hiccuping your words.
“Kiss.” he commanded and brought his lips crashing down on yours.
Ace POV
Ace had overheard an emotional conversation in the hallway and had cracked his door to see what was going on. He watched as Marco ordered you out of the closet and began speaking sternly to you. Ace’s eyes opened a little wider - he hadn’t known you were sleeping there. If he had found you in there, he’d have taken you straight to his bed. He decided to stay hidden and see what happened.
Listening to Marco talk to you was a masterclass in manipulation. Marco had maneuvered you so well, so easily and you hadn’t noticed a thing. Ace knew Marco wasn’t worried about your loyalty, but you sure didn’t. He had gambled on your insecurities and won the grand prize. Now they were all able to collect. Finally, they’d be able to have you in the way they had wanted.
As he watched Marco kiss you in the moonlight and knew he’d be doing the same, and soon. You looked like a little angel, all breathless and submitting yourself willingly to Marco. He handled his growing bulge over his pants, fondling himself to your teary- eyed kiss. The scene was too hot for him to endure untouched, so he took his cock out and started slowly stroking himself from base to tip. He was leaking precum just from watching a kiss, like he was a teenager. He imagined it was himself kissing you, fondling you, getting to touch you. He pumped his cock a little bit faster as you started making small sounds from Marco’s hands traveling over your neck, shoulders, and down your front. He imagined the sounds you would make around his cock as you rode him, how he would bite your neck, suck on your nipples, give you marks to let everyone know he was there. That he would always be there.
Y/N POV
Marco’s kiss was all encompassing. All you could think about were his lips as they expertly kissed your own. He had caught you off guard-  your mouth had been closed. He licked at the seam of your lips, wanting you to open. You opened your mouth slightly and he pushed his tongue inside. He was still holding you in place, kissing you at his pace. He was in control and was showing you what he wanted. You followed his lead, kissing him back. You wanted to show that you wanted this too, that you wanted them, that they didn’t need to get rid of you. You tried to pour all that emotion into your side of the kiss.
When he stopped kissing your mouth and started feathering light kisses down the column of your neck. His hands were roaming all over you - your arms, neck, and starting to creep up your stomach. “Ah, Y/N, I knew you’d be worth the wait.” You couldn’t answer - your breath was coming in short gasps as his kisses trailed downwards. “Let’s go somewhere private - I wouldn’t want anyone else to enjoy the show yoi.” Marco cocked an eyebrow towards one of the open doors briefly but you didn’t see anyone.
With that, Marco threw you over his shoulder and took long strides to his room. Once in, he sat down on a loveseat and put you in his lap, facing him. “Come here, Y/N, show me how good you can be.” He began kissing you again, moving from your lips to your neck down to your collarbones. You started to let out small whimpers. You couldn’t help yourself - you knew you were incredibly wet. You started moving and grinding on Marco, hoping for some friction.
Marco was kissing your shoulder, and had started putting his hand up the hem of your shirt, teasing your lower back with light touches. “Ah, wait. I don-” You tried to object. Kissing was one thing, but showing your back was another. No one had seen it in years, it was a source of deep shame and humiliation. You wanted to keep your shirt on for now.
“Y/N, this is the exact kind of thing we need to be working through,” Marco said with a frown. “I thought you had agreed to listen to us yoi,” he continued. He gripped you by the shoulders and stopped your movements on him. You realized belatedly you were grinding on his cock - and he was huge. There was no way it would ever fit…but you refocused back to the present. Your back? You gulped - was this what he needed from you? So he could trust you? You could do it, you thought, trying to gather your own courage. It was just skin, and he’d seen scars before.
Marco had changed the position of his hands, holding your thighs down to prohibit your rocking. “You can take it off” you said in a small voice, looking down at your lap. Marco flashed a smile at you as he raised your shirt off your body.
You lifted your arms and Marco pulled it all the way off. He ran his hand over the middle of your back and paused. You hoped he would continue to tease and kiss you, but he just picked you up and faced you the other direction away from him so he could see your back better. He was examining it silently. You knew it had killed the feeling in the room from the way he was looking at it. He reached out a finger to touch the angry red, raised lines. He touched one and you hissed a little - they were extra sensitive lately. He just looked at you silently for a few moments. Marco didn’t say anything but sat you down next to him, off his lap.
You hung your head in shame. You couldn’t look at him. Not only had he seen your back, but you had disappointed him. He didn’t trust you. You had another crew’s logo on you. He didn’t want you anymore, he thought you were ruined. You were ruined, just like you were told. You were going to be sent back, discarded like the trash you were. You just waited for Marco to tell you to collect your things.
‘Y/N, what is this yoi?” he said in a soft voice. He was being gentle with you, delicately touching parts of your scar that were less raised.
“It’s old scar tissue, it’s healed now.”
“What’s it from?”
“Most of it is a branding from when I was on that pirate ship. They - they burned their jolly roger on me. Some of it is from a whipping the Marines gave me. Those are the more recent marks.”
“Why did they whip you?”
“Escape attempt.”
“Do they hurt yoi?”
All the questions were digging into your deepest sources of shame. You wanted to be strong but you started crying again.
“Y-yes. I think they don’t let me stretch my skin enough back there. It always feels tight. I’m not really sure, I try not to look at it.”
“Y/N…”
“I’m s-sorry M-m-marco. I really tr-tried to be g-good for y-you. I’m j-just r-ruined.”
“You’re not ruined, this wasn’t your fault,” he said absently as he continued gently touching your back. You couldn’t see, but you felt a pleasantly cool sensation along some of your scars. Was he trying to heal you? The flip between the harsh Marco of before to the sensual Marco to this soft Marco had you so confused. You didn’t know how he was going to take anything. You let him look in silence. He broke it by quietly asking “why did they brand you, not tattoo you?”
You gave him the answer you had been told, in a deadpan voice “Crew get tattoos, property gets branded.”

Tumblr media Tumblr media
Your heart lurched to your throat as you stood there, his head turned away from your lips—he was avoiding your touch. He didn’t have to say it for you to realize it.
You hesitantly smiled, backing down. Maybe he just had a bad day. It happened pretty often, so taking it personally wouldn’t have benefited you in any way.
He was your favorite person, and you knew you were his. You two were best friends until the end of time. That’s how it had been since even before you two got married—that’s how it would stay.
The television that sat in the living room had long since been turned off. The fan perched in the corner of the room silently hummed along, providing little relief to the California heat that plagued your home.
"Rooster," you began, rubbing the back of your neck. Sweat stuck to the palm of your hand, and you grimaced as you quickly wiped your hand off on the seat of your pants. "How was your day? I know it's been busy—"
"—we need to talk," he said, cutting you off.
He didn't even give you a chance to question things as he walked past you, sitting down on the sofa in your shared condominium. You blinked slowly at your husband, but you gave a small nod. Your feet moved on their own accord as you sat beside him. You placed a hand on his knee, and he only pulled himself away from you.
You swallowed thickly, nerves getting the best of you. Had you done something to offend him recently? Did something happen with Maverick again? You had thought they were doing well—the videos Natasha had sent you were proof enough of that. It warmed your heart to know that he was finally finding himself in this crazy world.
Maybe it was just hot. Yes, that’s it. The heat was getting to him. It had been getting to everyone on base, and at work. It wouldn’t surprise you if it was the same thing here.
"Bradley…?" You said nothing more than his name, watching him with nothing but pure adoration behind your eyes. He meant the world to you. There was nothing he could say or do to change this, even if he was avoiding you.
The man looked at anything but you. His dark brown eyes stared at the black television, and then they moved to the grey carpet just beneath his boot-clad feet.
You must have just vacuumed. He could see the indentations, and that’s what he chose to focus on as he searched for the right words to say. But they never came.
"I want a divorce," he said.
It was so simple. Those four words.
And just like that, your world came crashing around you.
Where was this coming from? Did you do something to upset him?
The words swirled around in your brain, repeating over and over until it hit you like a freight train, knocking the air from your chest. He wants a divorce.
You sat on the edge of the black sofa, eyes fluttering shut as you took in a deep breath. Your hands rested in fists on top of your thighs as you wracked your mind for an explanation. You couldn't find one.
There was nothing that could justify whatever this was.
How long had he been thinking about this?
"Where… where is this coming from?" you asked. You just had to know.
"I don't want to talk about it. Just… please."
"What?" You looked up at him in disbelief. "You—you want to divorce me but you won't even give me a reason?" you asked. Your eyes burned as you held back your tears. You couldn't cry. Not now. If you cried that first tear, then surely, they would never stop.
"I have never asked you for anything, Y/n. Please, just say yes.”
"I don't understand where this is coming from, Bradley," you said, reaching forward to take ahold of his hand. "Please. Talk to me. I want to understand what's going on."
Rooster clenched his jaw, looking down at your hands. Your wedding band glinted in the soft glow of the light overhead. The beautiful piece glared at him as he fought to find the right words to say—but nothing he could say would make this better. Not now.
The words left him without a second thought.
"I don't love you."
Oh.
Oh, no.
No, no, no. He couldn't be serious. He couldn't be telling you the truth right now. He did love you. He married you! Why would he ever ask you to marry him if he didn't love you?
Why would you plan your life together if he didn’t love you?
But even though you could create more and more questions in your mind, trying to placate every emotion coursing through your veins, nothing made sense.
You pulled your hand away as your tears finally began to fall. If he didn't love you, you wouldn't force him to be with you any more than he wanted.
Rooster inwardly grimaced, but he wasn’t about to let you see that. He needed to be strong—he needed to save face and keep on digging in the same grave he had started.
"Just… just tell me when."
"When what?"
"When did this happen? When did you fall out of love? I—I thought you loved me, Bradley. I love you."
He pursed his lips. He seemed to hesitate as he allowed his eyes to meet yours. Rooster's blood rushed to his ears, and his fingers itched to grab onto something. To grab onto you. But he couldn’t. He couldn't even look at you properly when you looked so sad, but he forced himself to do so anyway. You deserved that, at least. You deserved to be looked at when he was ending the relationship you fought so hard to keep.
"I don't know. It just… happened."
He was lying. He had to be lying. There was no way he was being honest—he loves you. He loves you, and this was all just some bad dream. Some bad joke that Hangman put him up to. Maybe Fanboy was in on it, too. Surely, someone put him up to this. They had money in a bowl somewhere, waiting for your reaction so they would know who won. He’d whip out his phone soon and text them the result.
But the way he looked at you… you knew he was telling you the truth. He wanted a divorce. This was happening, whether you wanted it to or not. There was no cruel bet, no ulterior motive.
This was happening.
Every moment of the past three years pierced your brain—Bradley asking you out in the middle of the Hard Deck. Meeting his friends. Picking out your wedding rings. Becoming Y/n Bradshaw. The kisses you shared. The whispered conversations, the happy smiles, the—
He was your life. He is your life. You love him more than life itself.
But he loved you.
Loved. Past-tense.
He did love you. Something changed. What had changed?
You abruptly stood up, roughly wiping your tears away. You couldn’t do this. You couldn’t be near him right now. Your heart was far too heavy, weighed down by the immense burden of his confession.
"Alright," you said. "I… I won't force you to stay with me. I would never do that to you, Bradley. I would… I would never, ever want you to do anything you don’t want to do.” You held back a sob, fists balled at your sides. “We can get a divorce."
Relief spread across his face. He couldn't smile, though. This ended up being a lot harder than he expected it to be.
"Thank you," he said. He stood up, towering over you like usual. "I appreciate it."
You gave a curt nod, averting your gaze. Your tongue poked out, nervously wetting your lips as you cleared your throat. He appreciated it.
Were you just a joke to him?
"I will… I will make arrangements. I will leave by next week."
"What? You don't have to do that. There's no rush—"
"—I'll leave by next week," you cut him off, no longer looking at him.
What was he doing? You didn’t need this. You didn’t need him. As you took a step forward, the tears began to fall. Your husband forced himself to stay put as you rushed off to your bedroom, slamming the door shut behind you.
You found little comfort in the blankets that now surrounded you, tears wetting the pillow on which you rested your head night after night. You found little comfort in the place you spent with your husband, time after time, lamenting how much you loved each other. Planning the future of your life—of your family. Of your relationship that should have only grown in love.
The memories of this bed burned in the back of your mind. You could hardly breathe as the sobs plowed through your body.
This wasn’t fair.
This couldn’t be real.
Rooster slowly sat back down, burying his face in his hands. His elbows dug into his thighs, a choked sob catching in the back of his throat. He couldn’t believe he allowed himself to say that to you. It was far from the truth. But there was nothing he could do about it now.
This was for the best.
This would keep you safe.
As the sun peered through the grey curtains, setting just beyond the horizon, Rooster stood up. He wiped his tears away, instantly hardening. He had done this time and time again. He would hide, folding back into himself like a metal chair—he’d be there for people when he was needed, but he would be just out of the way until then. He wouldn’t bother you any longer than he needed to.
This was for the best—you wouldn’t have to live your life wondering what could have been.
If he died, that was that. You would move on, and he could rest peacefully in the afterlife.
His father hadn’t ever given his mother a chance to do something like that. He wouldn’t be making the same mistake.
Tumblr media
Three years had passed.
Three, long and grueling years had inched by, taking your misery along with you. The New Year would pass over and over, and the only thing you would write on your resolution list was: Move on.
But you never could. That list ended up in the garbage only weeks after drafting it up.
How could you when the love of your life left as he did? How could you when you knew he was the only thing that kept you going, even if you were hundreds of miles away?
They would never say it out loud, but your friends never quite said anything about why he divorced you—why he fell out of love. But why would he tell them something like that? Rooster generally kept to himself. It wasn't something that he would have been very honest about, to begin with.
You knew they knew something more, but they never said anything. You never expected them to, either. They were your friends as much as they were his, and they had been his friend for far longer. You couldn't blame them. Whatever they knew—that was his business. But you kept silent, allowing yourself to wallow in self-pity for more than you should have.
But just like you couldn't blame them for keeping his secrets… who could blame you?
You had your own life before Rooster, yes, you did. You didn’t depend on him. You were independent, and you had your own interests and everything. You didn’t need him. But with his confession, it was as if everything you had ever known had been tossed out of the window of a speeding car in an instant, shattering against the run-down pavement. Pieces flew everywhere—you'd never be able to find them again, let alone put them back together.
You'd never have enough glue for something like that.
You would never be able to repair the gaping hole that was in your heart.
And you knew it was silly. You shouldn’t have ever let yourself trust someone so completely. But you never thought something like that would happen. Rooster was so easy to love.
He was such a happy person—he exuded confidence. He was the epitome of an amazing human being. And yet, he still fell out of love with you.
You never believed someone could just fall out of love so easily.
So, instead of remaining in the very place you felt like you were sinking in, you did what you thought was best. You packed your things and moved to Virginia. At least there, you'd be far enough away that he'd never find you. The mileage did little to comfort you, but it was something.
At least here, you felt like you could breathe.
Changing from the west coast to the east coast was drastic—but you adapted. You had to. You couldn't continue living in the very place that was threatening you at every given minute. You couldn’t continue on in a place where at every corner, something reminded you of him. It was driving you into a familiar depression—one that you had known before Rooster, and one that you would now know after Rooster.
When you left, Phoenix was devastated. Other than Bob, you were her closest friend. She never stopped talking to you—she never stopped being friends with you, even when you moved across the country. When Phoenix asked you to come in to visit, you hesitated. But then she promised you that Rooster wouldn't be there. That he would be visiting some family he had up north—his girlfriend's family. He would be using this free time to get to know them better.
You wouldn't say you were happy for him. Hell, that was far from the truth. Despite the fact you no longer wore your ring on your finger, it was always on a chain around your neck. Your heart still beats for him, no matter how many times you had tried to move on. And you did it all. You tried everything that Google said to do. One night stands, going out with strangers, having people set you up, hell, you even tried therapy. But it never worked.
Why would it? Rooster was the love of your life. He was the one you had seen yourself dying with—he was the one you wanted to grow old with. And he didn't want that in you. He didn't see the same things.
He didn’t see your relationship as a rising sun just beyond the mountain tops. He was already there with the setting sun, disappearing beyond the horizon. He had been there, at the end of your relationship, far before you even had a chance to find the middle. He had made peace with the end. You couldn’t even find peace in the beginning.
After much pestering and a FaceTime call from both Phoenix and Bob, you were convinced to join them back in California for a week. But your only condition was that Phoenix would be paying half for your plane ticket. She agreed in a heartbeat.
So that's why you stood here now, in front of the old dormitory in which you used to visit your friends in. You had already been to the hotel you'd be staying at, and you took a taxi to the base.
The grey building towered over you, making you feel far smaller than you actually were. Memories sat behind those walls, waiting for you to relive them, even if you didn’t want to.
It only took one text message to Natasha before she came barreling down the sidewalk, pulling you into a bone-crushing hug. Bob was not far behind, and Hangman was taking his sweet ole time. You didn't know he'd be around, but you felt better knowing he was—you had been close before Rooster sent in the papers. He helped you pack and get your things to Virginia.
You hugged Phoenix tightly, smiling up at her.
"It's been too long!" she nearly shouted, excitement running through her body. As she pulled away, Bob pulled you into a hug. He greeted you as he had so many times, with a hug and a simple ‘hello.’
Last but not least, Hangman sent you a smile. He pulled you into a hug, despite the fact he used to be one of the last people you would expect it from. You melted into the hug, unable to stop yourself from smiling.
"It's… it's good to be back. I'm glad to see you guys."
"Coyote, Payback, and Fanboy are already at the bar. Said they'd just meet us there. You ready?" Phoenix grinned.
You were as ready as you would ever be. You gave a small nod to your friend, and before you knew it, you were on your way to the very place you met your ex-husband. The Hard Deck.
Tumblr media
It was suffocating, standing in that corner all alone. Your friends played pool, and you watched as the different colored balls sunk into the pockets that lined the edge. Hangman stood off to the side, beating some stranger in darts.
Rooster had always been good at that.
Lost in your mind like you had been so many times before, the sound of a glass falling at the bar made you jump.
And then you saw him. Your own glass slipped through your fingertips, crashing onto the floor. Shards littered the wood floor. Phoenix yelped your name in surprise, coming to your side immediately.
"What's wrong?" she asked, placing a hand on your arm to try and comfort you. You continued to stare, and she eventually looked in the direction of your gaze. Her eyes widened in surprise, lips parting as she tried to find something to say.
He wasn't supposed to be here. He wasn't supposed to be anywhere near you.
And he was looking right at you.
"Y/n, it's okay, he's not—"
You pulled your arm away from Phoenix, taking a couple of steps back before you took off running in the direction of the restrooms. It was as good of a hiding spot as anywhere, and you'd be able to collect yourself before going back out there. You couldn’t possibly run past him—he’d stop you. Or at least, try to follow you. Phoenix would make him leave. Surely, she wouldn't just let him stay.
You locked yourself in a stall, sitting down on the toilet seat. You took in a deep, releasing a shaky breath as tears clouded your vision. A hand pressed to your mouth, elbows digging into the meat of your thighs as you tried to keep yourself calm.
This wasn't happening! She promised he wasn't here. Why would she lie?
Maybe she didn't know.
The bright light in the bathroom was far too much.
The dripping water from the sink struck the porcelain—plip, plip, plip.
The noise from the bar was deafening as you sat there, chest heaving as you tried to catch your breath. Loud voices echoed through the building, striking your ears in an instant. But the more you cried, the more your sobs became the only thing you heard.
It had been ages since you cried over him, so why now? Why were you so triggered by just seeing him?
You tried to calm yourself down but to no avail.
You loved him. You love him. You never stopped. You couldn't just stop.
You tried so hard. You spent years trying to forget the man who ripped your heart in two with four simple words.
But the universe had a funny way of working. It seemed to work against you in every way possible, no matter what.
You could never win.
You would never win.
No matter what, you were never good enough.
You hadn't been good enough in school. You weren't good enough at work. And you hadn't been good enough for Rooster, even when you were married. You weren't good enough for him, now, either.
There was a knock at the bathroom door before you heard it creak open. Your breath hitched in your throat as you tried to keep quiet, choked sobs caught in your chest.
Worn shoes popped up underneath the stall door you found refuge in. Those same damn shoes you bought him once for Christmas, four years ago. He had been so excited—they were almost the exact same pair his mother had bought him one year for his birthday. His father's favorite brand—his favorite style of shoe.
God, you searched everywhere for those damn shoes.
And he kept them.
Silence enveloped the bathroom, save for your stifled sobs. You rested your shoulder against the old paneled walls, squeezing your eyes shut as you tried to ignore him. But he knew you were there. It was far too late, now.
Rooster stood there, fist raised to knock on the stall door. But he couldn't bring himself to do it. What would he even say? What would have been good enough?
Three years had come and gone without you. Three long years in which he felt as if he was drowning, just existing. He would have been better off launching himself into that ocean, the same as his father. His wedding band was stuffed away in some kind of pocket, always near him or on his person in some way. He tried to get over you—one-night stands, blind dates, even going as far as asking Hangman to find him a girl.
It worked, for a while.
He started dating Kristie—a sweet woman who worked as a nurse on base. But she saw right through him. She knew who he was, and what was going on in that head of his.
She wasn't mad—a bit disappointed, yes, but it didn't stop her from breaking up with him and canceling their planned vacation up north together.
She wasn’t you. She would never be you.
And he didn’t think he would ever see you again.
Rooster found himself in the middle of the Hard Deck, never once expecting you to be there. None of the Dagger Squad had said anything about you. He didn't know you were even going to be in town.
He felt like he couldn't breathe when he laid eyes on you.
The yellow lighting cast a soft glow on your skin. You were beautiful. You had always been beautiful, but damn, you looked even more beautiful now. Maybe it was just the years that had passed him by.
The walls of his small corner of the world couldn’t fall on him sooner.
The glass that crunched under your shoes became the only thing he heard until he watched as you ran back into the hallway.
In a split second, Hangman was beside him, obviously pissed.
"What the hell, man? Why aren't you with Kristie?"
"She broke it off."
Hangman clenched his jaw. He couldn't believe this was happening, but then again, Rooster had his head far up his ass more often than not. Hangman punched him in the arm, just enough for it to hurt.
"You need to leave," he said, watching as Rooster recoiled in pain.
"What?" Rooster looked at him in surprise. "No."
"Yes!" he exclaimed. Was this idiot really that much of an asshole?
This time, Phoenix spoke up, her arms crossed over her chest. "We promised you wouldn't be here. You're supposed to be up north. You're supposed to be far away from here!"
"You promised?" Rooster stared her down.
"Well, yeah, you asshole! You broke their heart. They didn't even want to come here in the first place. God, I should've just gone to see them instead of dragging them out here," Phoenix groaned, rubbing her forehead with the back of her hand.
Rooster hesitantly took a step forward.
"Rooster, get out," Hangman said, voice low.
He shook his head. He needed to talk to you.
"Rooster!"
He broke out into a run, and before Hangman could follow, Phoenix grabbed his arm.
"What the hell?" he stared at her in disbelief.
"Just let it happen," she said.
"Let what happen? Watch Y/n get their heart stepped on all over again?"
"Just… just let it happen."
Phoenix would wait for you to berate her, later. But for now, she could only wish her friends would try to make up. She could only wish that Rooster would gain a pair and grow up. Her heart ached for you as she watched Rooster run back to the bathrooms, knowing that she couldn’t ever take the pain away from you. The only one who could do that was Rooster, himself, and even then, she wasn’t sure if that would happen.
And now, he found himself standing there, the silence deafening in the small space. The light was bright in the enclosure—brighter than he remembered. His hand was still hovering, his arm growing heavy as he debated on knocking.
Should he just leave? Should he do as Hangman said and walk out? But he couldn't just leave. Not now. Not when he knew he made the biggest mistake of his life, telling you all that bullshit.
You used your sleeves to wipe your tears away as you shakily got to your feet. Your fingers struggled to even unlock the stall door, but when you did, you swung it open. Rooster had to back up just to avoid being hit with the metal.
The two of you just stood there, bright light casting shadows onto the old tile floor. Not a word was said as Rooster stared at you.
You were exactly as he remembered, if not better. You had changed your hair since the last time he saw you. He kept the mustache, and his hair was still cut the same. You kept the same style and the same makeup (or lack thereof).
You still looked at him the same… even if it quickly changed into one of anger.
You were still so beautiful.
His voice caught in his throat. He wanted to talk to you, but he couldn’t think of anything to say to you. Nothing he could say would make things better.
He was such an idiot.
You stepped forward, walking to the stark white sink. You grabbed a few paper towels and wet them before carefully wiping the remnants of your tears. You stared at your reflection in the rounded mirror, your lip caught between your teeth as you hiccuped.
"Y/n?" Rooster tentatively began. He raised a hand to touch your shoulder.
You immediately moved away from his touch, glaring in his direction.
His fist clenched beside him as he watched you.
You tossed the paper towels in the trash and pushed past him, quickly leaving the bathroom.
"Y/n," he repeated.
As you walked, he followed.
Your friends stood in their respective corner, knowing they should intervene. Yet they stayed, hoping that somehow, Rooster would fix his fuck up. They couldn’t keep watching the two of you fight some imaginary battle—they couldn’t watch the two of you wish your life away for something that was quite literally at the tips of your fingers.
Phoenix wasn't too sure if he'd be able to fix this. Hangman honestly wanted to hang a man.
You shoved the doors open, walking into the cool California night. It wasn’t like the cold in Virginia. Virginia’s winters were unforgiving—the snow that would fall would chill you to your very core. Virginia winters would put southern California to shame in an instant. At this very moment, you wished you were there, standing in the chilling wind, begging for some kind of relief—at least then, your body would become numb even if your mind was still running a mile a minute.
Nothing could have prepared you for what had transpired. Nothing could have prepared you for seeing the man you fought so hard to forget.
With no car, you continued walking. You'd call a taxi at some point. Right now, you just needed to breathe.
But you had yet to realize Rooster was still following you.
The man grabbed ahold of your wrist, making you stop in the middle of the damn parking lot. Cars and trucks alike littered the parking spots. A few people walked past you as they went into the bar, ignoring the tension that stood in the middle of it all.
You whipped around, jerking your arm away from him with wide eyes. "What's your fucking problem?!"
Rooster paused, body going rigid as he waited for you to continue.
You had never yelled at him, even when he asked for a divorce.
"Why the fuck are you even here? You're not supposed to be here! You have a fucking girlfriend. Get away from me. I don't ever want to see you again."
Tears sprung to your eyes once more. You tilted your head back, wishing they would just stop. The stars stared down at you, mocking you where you stood. The sky was so close, and yet so far away.
God, would this man ever make you stop crying?
"Y/n—"
"—just go away! I don't want you here!"
"Please," he began, "I need to talk to you. I need to apologize."
"Apologize?! Oh, that's rich! Just leave me alone. You did enough damage when you asked for a divorce. Just leave me alone."
"Y/n, please," he continued. "You… please just hear me out."
"I heard you out once, and it was the worst fucking time of my life," you said. "I'm not listening to you ever again."
You turned back around, set on leaving—this time a bit faster. But his words grounded you in your spot, heart leaping to your throat once more.
"It was a mistake!"
You stared at the gravel that crunched underneath your feet. You could feel your pulse rushing through your body, fast and unsteady.
Nothing could have prepared you for that.
"It was a mistake, Y/n," he said, his voice far quieter this time. "I never should have asked for a divorce. I never should have said anything. I should—I should have just—"
"—what, toughed it out? Let me realize you stopped loving me when you started cheating on me or some shit?"
His eyes widened in surprise.
"What? No. No, Y/n… I… I never should have said anything. I never stopped loving you."
What?
You couldn't breathe—your lungs constricted in your chest, your heart beating rapidly against your ribcage. Your body burned as you looked up at the night sky, stars littering the vast ocean of darkness. They still mocked you, but this time, dark clouds rolled in. Perhaps the sky knew just how you felt. The moon cast a soft glow on everything in its path.
Tears blurred your vision once more.
He never stopped loving you.
You let out a sob, turning to face him.
"What?"
"I never stopped loving you," Rooster lamented. "I… still love you."
"Then… then… why?"
"I couldn't do it to you."
"What? Do what?"
"I couldn't die! I couldn't die and leave you a widow. I couldn't end up with the same fate my dad had, leaving you just the same as my mom," he said.
"Well you're not fucking dead, are you?!"
Rooster paused, lips parting to speak.
"You're not dead. You're standing right in front of me, telling me that the reason you fucking divorced me was because you didn't want me to be a widow?! I would have been less upset if you had fucking died!" You took in a deep breath, pointing an accusatory finger at him. “You did not have to do that. You did not have to make me miserable. You did not have to make me feel like the one person who loved me was an entire lie!”
Rooster winced. Your words pierced his soul like a sharp bullet, ricocheting off the crevices of his very soul.
"Fuck off, Bradley Bradshaw," you said, fists clenched at your sides. "I never want to see you again."
"But Y/n—"
"—no! No, I'm over you, you bastard! I don't love you anymore. I haven't in years. You're still in love with me? That's great. Fucking deal with it. You deserve to feel the pain of not knowing. You deserve to lose yourself in everything you thought was yours.”
Bradley Bradshaw had never felt as if he wasn't good enough. When he was faced with adversity, he worked harder. When he felt bad about something, he did more to try and overcome that. He had never felt as if anything he did wasn't good enough. But in this very moment, he stood there, wondering how in the world he could have fucked up so badly.
He wasn't good enough. He wasn't good enough, for you. That much was evident as he watched you once again walk away from him, disappearing into the night.
His eyes fluttered shut and he held back his tears as he stood there, waiting for lightning to strike him where he stood. Surely, it'd be better than having to go back into the Hard Deck after a screaming match like that.
He deserved it.
A hand on his shoulder made him flinch. He opened his eyes, head darting in the person's direction. Hangman watched him for a moment before he patted his back.
"You fucked up, man," he began, averting his gaze. "Now you've gotta fix it."
"But how?"
"For fucks sake, Rooster," he groaned. He ran a hand through his perfect hair, musing it from the stress of his friend. He couldn't believe he'd ever thought Rooster might actually be a pretty smart guy. This dude was dumber than a box of rocks, and this just proved it.
"They still love you, you know," Bob said, arms crossed over his chest. "We heard what they said, but they're just hurt. You really did a number on them."
He glanced over his shoulder. The Dagger Squad stood there, all watching him as he stood there, in the middle of the parking lot.
This… was all his fault.
Those four simple words should have never left his mouth. He should have been spending the last three years with you, not trying to forget you. Because if he were to have died in that time, it would have at least been with you and not with the overwhelming ghost of you haunting his every waking move. He could have at least left you behind knowing you were loved instead of wondering if he ever truly loved you at all.
Tumblr media
Time passed slowly in the month it took you to finally calm down from the emotional rollercoaster Rooster had you on. You were back in your apartment, the east coast calling your name (even though the west coast screamed for your return; the sandy beaches and the salty water just weren’t the same, here).
Your heart ached—every romantic thing you saw made you want to cry. It all reminded you of your ex-husband, and now, there was no changing things. In your anger, you had told him you never wanted to see him again—that you didn't love him. You made sure he knew that when you left him standing in the middle of that damned parking lot.
What a lie that was.
But if he could tell lies, why couldn't you? Why couldn't you force him to live with the idea that you didn't love him, just the way he did that to you?
Regret became you.
You wondered if that’s how he felt all this time—regretful.
Did Rooster even have a bone in his body that was capable of feeling anything other than pride?
Maverick would know.
Did he know about all of this? He had been Rooster’s best man at the wedding. Surely, he knew something.
Your arm rested over your eyes, blocking out the sunlight that peaked through your curtains. Saturday mornings never got easier for you. Hell, no morning did. Getting up was a constant chore. You had already gotten ready for the morning, but you slipped right back into bed, not wanting to deal with the idea of being a live, somewhat functioning adult at the moment.
Your phone began to ring, loud and in your ear as you lay in bed, staring at the back of your arm. With a groan, you rolled over and picked it up.
Phoenix was calling you.
You answered after a moment of your fingers hovering over the bright buttons. You didn’t really want to talk to anyone.
"Hello?"
"Y/n? Hey! So, uh, quick thing, and I promise you I didn't know about it until Bagman just said something, but he gave Rooster your address."
Silence enveloped your bedroom as you processed what she had just said.
"What?!" You immediately sat up in your bed, gripping your phone with unforgiving strength. "What the hell!"
"I know," she continued, voice laced with worry—she didn’t know how you were going to take this. "I know, and I'm sorry. But, uh, he said that Rooster is probably gonna show up within the next hour or so. He caught the earliest flight out there."
"Why?"
"Why?" Natasha echoed. "Y/n, why do you think?"
You fell silent. You stared down at the blankets that pooled at your feet.
Day after day, you wondered if Rooster would show up, begging you to take him back. But the sun continued to set, day in and day out, and nothing changed. Nothing ever changed.
"Y/n, I know he's an asshole,” Natasha said. “I know he broke your heart. But… Rooster's been through a lot. He might not have realized how bad of an idea it was until he went through with it. He’s… he’s done nothing but regret it ever since.”
"I know he's been through a lot," you said, voice far quieter than it had been. "I know he has. But… but that's no excuse. We were married. I was his partner. He took that away… he took that all away.”
"There's no excuse for him," Phoenix said. "I’m not making one. You’re… you’re my very best friend. But if he shows up and you don't know what to do, you have two options. Turn him away, or… hear him out. Whatever you do, I’m here one hundred percent of the way.”
You swallowed thickly. Without saying anything else, you hung up the phone, tossing it onto your bed. You buried your face in your hands—it seemed to be the only thing you could do recently that would actually allow you to catch your breath.
And then, your doorbell rang.
That was far less than an hour.
The shrill ding of the bell resounded in your brain. You would have to get that changed to something less annoying.
Getting out of your bed and walking down the hallway was the easy part. It was opening the front door that made you want to die as your hand slowly grabbed onto the knob.
You can just turn him away. It'll be okay, you told yourself. He will leave if you want him to.
With much hesitation, you opened the door.
Rooster stood there, worried he had gotten the wrong door and Hangman had given him some shit directions. But as you appeared in the doorway, relief spread across his features. He was dressed in those same shoes you had given him. He wore a pair of jeans, and he wore one of those stupid Hawaiian shirts that he loved so much.
You still had the pink and yellow one you had stolen before you left him in the top left drawer of your dresser. It still smelled like Rooster… but the laundry detergent you had was the same exact one you had used when you were married to him.
Everything you owned reminded you of him.
"Y/n?"
"Bradley."
His eyebrows furrowed as he watched you. He nervously wrung his hands together as his eyes looked anywhere but you. This wasn’t that confident, macho man you knew. This wasn’t Rooster.
This was Bradley Bradshaw, in the flesh.
His heart was on the line, and he could only hope that the universe would grant him one last wish—let you believe him. Let you understand him.
He would understand if you turned him away. He would leave, and he would never bother you again. But he hoped that you’d accept him for who he is—for everything he has been.
Again.
Even though it took him so long to realize his mistake. Even though he made so many mistakes just to find himself trying to take it all back.
Rooster never thought he was perfect, but hell. The universe really didn’t give him the benefit of the doubt, did it?
"Listen, I know you said you didn't want to see me," he began. "But I can't… I can't keep doing this."
You stayed silent.
Bradley was a lot of things. Stupid, funny, a great, flaming ball of firey anxiety. And still, the love of your life, even now.
Nothing would ever stop that from happening, even if he shoved his hand in your chest, pulled out your heart, and crushed it right in front of you.
Even now, after all this time, you knew you loved him.
He took your silence as an invitation to continue.
"I love you," he said, rubbing the back of his neck. "I never stopped. I just… fucked up. God, Y/n, I fucked up so bad. I never should have asked you for a divorce. I never should have said any of that shit. I thought I was protecting you. But the only thing I ended up doing was hurting you more, and I never wanted that to happen.
"I love you, so much, Y/n. I never stopped. I… you are the love of my life. But… but even if I loved you, it wouldn't stop life from standing in the way. My dad died. He left my mom all alone. I couldn't do that to you. I couldn't bear the thought of you suffering, all alone, wondering what the hell you could have done to make things different. I couldn't let you have the same fate as my mom."
You stared at him, hands gripping the door.
"Why didn't you just talk to me?"
"I… I know I should have."
"So why didn't you?"
"I had already made up my mind…"
And once Bradley Bradshaw made up his mind, that was that. Most of the time, anyway.
Silence enveloped the two of you once more. Birds chirped in the background, cars honking in the backed-up traffic on the interstate not too far from your home. Life was still going on, just like it always would. Life would continue to find a way, even if someone left it behind—even if someone felt as if their world was crashing to an end.
Three years ago, if Bradley Bradshaw had shown up at your door, telling you he had made a mistake, you would have believed him. But watching him as he stood at your door this very moment, you weren't sure. You had every right to slam the door in his face, burning the image of his scared self in the back of your mind. But as you stood here, hands dangling down by your thighs, you knew you couldn't.
Were you stupid for what you were about to do?
Maybe.
But so was Bradley.
"I've started seeing a therapist," Bradley spoke, breaking the silence. "He said it would be good for me to at least… try to tell you why."
"Why you left me?"
He gave a small nod. "Yes. And… he made me realize it never should have happened. It was my fault. It was never yours."
You rubbed your eyes out of frustration, unable to stop yourself from sniffling. A groan escaped you, and he frowned in response.
"Y/n, I… words can't even begin to describe how sorry I am. I can't take back what I said. I can't change the fact that I asked you for a divorce because I was terrified of dying and leaving you alone. But… but I can do this," he said, licking his lips as he watched you.
You tilted your head in confusion, not sure where he was going with this.
Time moved slowly—just as slowly as it had when your world came to a startling halt.
He suddenly held out his hand, locking eyes with you once more. Dark brown eyes peered into yours; those same brown eyes you used to watch until you fell asleep in his arms. Those same brown eyes you stared into when you first said, “I do.” Those same brown eyes you looked into when he asked you for a divorce.
"Hi," the man said, a small smile appearing on his mustache-clad lips. "I'm Bradley. Bradley Bradshaw."
Your eyes widened, your heart leaping to your chest once more, but not because you were scared to face him. But because you couldn't believe this was really happening.
He… was starting over.
You were starting over.
Hesitantly, you took his hand, firmly grasping it before you shook it.
"It's so nice to meet you, Bradley Bradshaw," you said. Your eyes were still red from your tears, but you began to smile, pushing down the pain and regret of the last three years. It wasn’t worth it. The utter buffoon standing in front of you was worth it. "I'm Y/n Bradshaw," you continued with a grin. "Quite a coincidence, huh?"
Bradley just smiled, tilting his head to the side. You had never changed your name. In fact, you stayed the same, despite the icy shield around your heart. Not that he could blame you.
You were his Y/n. The love of his life—the reason he continued on, and the reason he believed in love, despite the fear that sucked the rational thinking out of him.
Because even when death knocked at his door, he knew you would be there. You would be there, just like his mom was for his dad.
Nothing could change that.
Not the divorce, not his lie that lasted for years. Not the untimely “confession” that left the two of you reeling for each other.
Nothing could change how he felt for you.
And with one instant, you knew your world was mending itself. You'd have problems—that you were sure. You’d have to work on communication; on both sides. But as you moved out of the way for Rooster to come in, you knew it would be worth it.
Love, no matter how much it hurt, was worth it.
Good enough or not.
"Why don't you come in, Mr. Bradshaw? I think we have a lot to catch up on."
He leaned forward and pressed a soft kiss to your cheek, taking ahold of your hand.
"Only if you'll have me."
"Of course, I will."
This was a start. A new start.
A good start.
You were both starting over. And although you wouldn’t ever say it out loud, a part of you was starting to realize that you may have always been good enough—sometimes, fear was stronger than anyone’s resolve. Fear could make even the bravest people pause; it could cause stupid decisions and brash opinions that change everything a person knows. Minds were a powerful tool that could hurt everyone in its path.
You lived it.
You were still living it.
But like any great thing, sometimes starting over is the best way to go. Sometimes, opening your heart back up is the only thing you can do to move on.
Those same brown eyes you fell in love with peered down at yours, and for once in the past three years, you finally felt at peace. You were good enough. You always had been.
And Bradley Bradshaw was a good man. A great man, even. But even great men can fall short. Even great men can make mistakes. It takes an even greater person to face those mistakes head-on, and an equally great person to forgive and continue on loving, even if they never stopped, to begin with.

Introducing Your Brother to Your Boyfriend
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Words: 357
Request: Yoru's older brother reader who's radiant power is that of a dragon and him introducing his boyfriend (Sova, phoenix, iso) to his brother.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
“Sasha, don’t you dare.” Staring at the man who held another piece of jewelry in his hand, prepared to hand it over to the sales associate. “мой дракон,” Pulling you close while holding the object behind him, “You deserve the world, let me give it to you.” God was he cheesy sometimes.
“Y/N?” Huh? Turning around to find Yoru standing outside the store, “Yoru!” Stepping away from your boyfriend to bother your brother instead, allowing him to buy the piece of jewelry. “God, I haven’t seen you in forever! Speaking of, what happened to you?” Finding plenty of small scars around his face.
“Doesn’t matter, what are you doing with Owl boy over there?” “You mean Sasha?” Said man reached for your hand with his own, “Do you two know each other?” “Kinda, but what are you two doing?” “We’re on a date.”
Yoru was quiet, turning to glare up at Sova. Suddenly stepping up to the man, no words were said but there seemed to be some sort of understanding as both of them nodded.
Tumblr media
“RYO!” Jamie was busy ordering his ice-cream, already with three flavours in his cup. Turning around when he heard you shout the familiar name, watching as you pull the already struggling man into an embrace. “About time you turned up!” He was trying to pull away as you messed up his hair. “Didn’t really have a choice, did I?” “Nope!”
“Yoru, my man, what are you doin’ here?” “Dumbass here wanted me to meet his boyfriend,” You two know eachother? “Where is he?” “You’re lookin’ at him.” Gesturing to Jamie, who held two cups of ice-cream while looking worried.
“Really,” Turning to face you, “Out of all people, you choose him?” Ryo looked ready to throttle Jamie right now. “Uh, yeah! What’s not to love about me?” “Everything.” Yoru’s hand grabbed Jamie’s shirt to pull him outside and out of your view.
Both spending a few minutes outside as you ate your ice-cream, watching Yoru give you a quick wave before teleporting away. Jamie returned looking roughed up, trying to smooth down everything. “Where were we?”
Tumblr media
Peering over Iso’s shoulder to watch the video on his phone, it was Yoru flailing about while one of his friends, was he his friend? He didn’t tell you much about his life, much less about work.
Eventually when the video ended Iso swiped over to a different app, not caring as you kept watching. Both of your heads snapping up when the familiar sound of Yoru teleporting was heard, watching as the man entered the room.
“Oi Y/N, whe–” “Oh, Yoru…” “本当に?” “始めるな.” Grumbling at your retort because, sadly, you were right. He couldn’t judge you, grabbing what he wanted before leaving.

I CANT find it, and I don’t remember the author 😭😭 If anyone can help me out and knows who the author is, please send me a message, I’d appreciate it so much.

Phoenix would have you cornered on the bathroom wall, fingering your behind, as he explored the caves of your mouth with his mouth. His tongue wiggling all around, and pushing it down your throat to kiss you deeply. The temperature of the shower would be set to cold, however the flames of his body would heat you up, causing you to want more of his touch.

Tumblr media
The sound of your phone alarm startled you awake. You sleepily slapped at it until it fell off the bed and turned off. Disgruntled, you paw around for your partners and find the bed empty.
Odd.
Normally there are 3 bodies spooning into one another this early in the morning.
Resting your eyes, you slowly processed everything and kept an ear out for clues or noises that gave any indication of where Marco or Ace are. Then you heard it. The soft, muffled sounds of men trying to hide their footfalls as they moved around. It sounded like they were moving things, some heavy and some not as you tried to discern the different sounds each man tried to repress. Tired huffs for heavier loads, a spry step on the wooden floorboard from a young man trying to sneak around.
You didn’t have to wait long – the men in question entered your shared bedroom and dogpiled on you.
“Y/N! Time to wake up!”
“Yoi!”
“What’s going on?” you ask them as you wriggle from under them.
“We’re taking a road trip to the beach!”
Oh hell yeah!
“What should I bring?”
“Just you’re cute self, Y/N,” Marco booped your nose.
The center console of your car could be moved back to allow a third seat between the driver and passenger seats. That’s your designated seat. Even embroidered a little name tag to the fabric.
Since the nearest beach was nearly 2 hours away, you started playing a classic playlist that everyone could enjoy. Bopping your heads and belting the choruses out loud, you took turns skipping through songs and serenading each other with popular music from your respective eras. Marco was more a smooth Jazz and Classic Rock type of cat, while Ace leaned more towards R&B and Pop music. You’re tastes hit everywhere in between theirs which made for a well-rounded lineup.
You fed Marco little snacks as he drove while Ace did the same for you, playing license tag games or ‘I Spy,’ passing the time in between your karaoke performances. Before you knew it – the beach was in sight.
“Oh its perfect!” you crow as the sun hung nice and low in the early morning. It wasn’t overly hot and there were just enough wispy clouds in the skies to cover up the harsh light before it felt overwhelming.
You helped Marco set out the extra large blanket over the sand and assisted Ace with unfolding the chairs and large umbrellas. You all took your excess clothes off and took your time with it, sitting closely together to rub sun lotion over each other’s sensitive skin.
Setting out your items, drinks being made in the background while someone set up the BlueFlame speaker for some relaxing tunes, you took a moment to meditate privately. So happy and so grateful you were able to get away today. To get some rest and relax with each other away from the hassles of living in the city.
Ace finished blowing up some floaties for you all to laze in while you floated in the ocean. Nursing your drinks in the rubber side cup holders, your head tilted to the sky and you adjusted your sunglasses so the sun wouldn’t burn your eyes – Marco would never let you hear the end of it.
You must have nodded off because you jerked awake when your bottom was dragged against the sandy shore.
“Heh! Hey sleepyhead! Ready for lunch? And sunburn reapplication? It may be too late for you actually,” Ace ran his hand over his neck as he helped you up.
“Oh! Yeah we’re going to have to aloe vera you up before we leave and apply it every few hours for the next 24-48 hours-yoi.”
“Sun, you have betrayed my trust yet again!” you sigh woefully.
Marco and Ace broke out in laughter, “He’s so funny!” Ace wiped a tear from his eye.
“He’s also dehydrated,” Marco tossed you a water bottle from the cooler.
Properly fed, hydrated and sun protected, you switch on and off between swimming, hitting a volleyball back and forth, and reading your book while sun bathing. Time didn’t exist for you – at least, not until the sun decided to set and put an end to your little getaway. You pouted the entire time as you packed up and got back in the car to go home.
Ace volunteered to drive so Marco could rest a little on the drive back. It took 3 minutes for him to fall asleep pressed against the window. You and Ace giggled at him and conversed quietly during the drive.
“What a wonderful day, I’m so sad it’s over,” you sigh.
“Don’t be sad it’s over! Cherish it until we can take another trip.”
“Yeah?”
“Of course! We’ll take you anywhere you want to go,” Ace ruffled your hair and pulled you into his side, steering with one hand.
You hum happily, “Noted. In that case, can you take me to get an ice cream?”
That made Marco jerk awake, “I want a double scoop on a waffle cone-yoi!”

Phoenix and Cerberus beach day (with or without his daughter!)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Beach Day | Phoenix & Cerberus
Phoenix & Cerberus Masterlist | Opposites Attract Masterlist
Tumblr media
synopsis: Cerberus decides to have a day at the beach, just him and his two girls
word count: 600
warnings: mentions of parental death
Tumblr media
If you were to ask Natasha 'Phoenix' Trace if she ever saw herself being in a relationship with a man who had a child, she would've probably told you to fuck off. One, she wouldn't have believed you about being with a man, and two, potentially being a step-mother.
But here she was, helping set up a beach umbrella, while Cerberus was putting sunscreen on his daughter, Piper. Phoenix looked over at the two of them, a soft smile on her face. She hadn't realized how much the two of them looked alike until she had moved in with them about six months ago. It was like looking in a mirror when the two sat side-by-side.
"Is Alex gonna be here?" Piper asked, the faintest blush on her face.
"I don't think so kid," Cerberus said, capping the sunscreen and putting it in the swim bag that Phoenix brought, "Think you're just stuck with us."
"That's just fine!" Piper smiled, "Phoenix is cool!" Piper launched herself at Phoenix, wrapping her arms around her waist.
Phoenix chuckled and patted the girl's head, "Some say I'm even cooler than your dad."
"Hey!" Cerberus pointed, "Rude! I'm already out numbered here." Piper rolled her eyes and walked back over to her dad, giving him a kiss on the cheek, "Thanks, babydoll. Now, let's finish setting things up and head to the waves."
"You two go, I got this," Phoenix said.
Cerberus nodded at his girlfriend, before taking his daughter's hand. Phoenix sighed, and sat down on one of the beach chairs that they had brought. She felt content as she watched Cerberus play with Piper in the water, the little girl's laughter filling the air.
Phoenix never knew how much she could love a child that wasn't hers. Sure, she loved her sister Dragon's baby, and the Seresin and Bates-Machado kids had a soft place in her heart. But there was something about Piper that made Phoenix feel. . . different. She couldn't quite describe it.
Phoenix had decided some time ago, that she didn't want children. For her, it just not something she had dreamed of having. Phoenix wanted to live her life and have a career as an aviator as long as she could. She knew that it was possible to be a mother and a pilot, she was watching Dragon doing it right now.
But now, for some reason as Phoenix had learned to love and care for Piper, she felt some sort of motherly instinct. She felt the need to protect and provide for the little girl as if she was her own. Phoenix was well aware that she would never ever replace Piper's mom. She made sure that Piper's mom was respected in the house, putting up several pictures of her, Piper and Cerberus. She let Piper know that she was okay with talking about the loss of her mother, it was a sad similarity they both shared.
Cerberus and Phoenix had talked several times about what their lives would look like moving forward. Phoenix didn't know, but Cerberus already had a ring picked out and hiding at her sister's house. He couldn't even imagine a day where he didn't have Phoenix by his side. She was perfect, in every way.
"Phoenix!" A voice called out to her, snapping her from her thoughts. Cerberus had Piper on his shoulders, both of them having identical wide smiles on their faces.
"Come on join us!" Piper smiled.
"Alright!" Phoenix smiled, pushing up from the chair and jogging towards her family.

Hey, can you do a niffty reader with whitebeard pirates?
basicly niffty is a housekeeper who quote on quote "likes killing mother bugs in front of baby bugs as a warning to the others" is very much a probem child in the mentaly unstable way, likes punishing bad boys(whatever that means) and likes stabing people, Multiple times.
She is from hazbin hotel
Menace Ahoy( Whitebeard pirates x male!child!reader)
A/N, y’all I had this one ready yesterday but I forgot to post it 🤭 And then forgot to do it this morning too, oops. If you know Hazbin Hotel you know what you can expect on a character based on nifty, if not expect references to blood killing and overall red flags in a child 😂
Update: (Female Version)
Reader here is replaced by Dokucha as a placeholder which stands for Reader in japanese

“You lost him?!”
“The hell do you mean me?! You were also supposed to keep an eye on him!”
“That’s enough the both of you! Right now, we need to focus on finding him before he sneaks into the kitchen or the training areas.” The first-mad yelled, scolding his crewmates
“I swear I had him by my side a few seconds ago. I just I blinked, and just like that, gone! It’s like he just up and vanished!” Ace said desperately, looking around
“That’s why you can’t take your eyes off him; he is quick like that,” mutters Vista, thinking of where the little menace could have run off to now
“He wouldn’t get off the ship, would he?” He questions
“Unlikely, he will only get down once he sees one of us has deboarded, and despite looking for trouble, he won’t leave our side unless we tell him he can,” Izou pipes in
Their discussion is quickly cut short as two voices join their conversation
“What have I told you about sneaking into the kitchen?” Thatch grumbles, holding the child by the scruff of his shirt walking closer to the men
“But it was a mess! I needed to clean the mess up!” He fusses, looking up at the chef
“No, uh, Kitchen is a big No, No, don’t trust you not to steal one of my knives again.”
“But it was a mess; I need to go back and clean it; I need to make sure it’s clean, so much mess, I need to clean it,” he rambled on as he began to spiral on the thought of the kitchen and all the tools and areas that needed to be cleaned up
“Hey, Hey, I get you want to clean, but you can’t just barge in and start cleaning; you could get badly hurt if you touched one of the hot surfaces. Please don’t go back in there without one of us,” He said, lowering the kid to the ground
“Just don’t sneak in there again, got it?”
“Sorrey”
“It’s okay; I'm not mad at you. I'm just worried you could get badly hurt. How about you come to ask me first, and I‘ll let you know if I help clean?”
He grins, nodding excitedly
“Okay!”
“Hey, Dokucha, are you coming with us?” Called Vista; Marco and Izou already waiting for the pair at the port
“Yeah!” The exclaimed, running his way but skidding to a stop and looking at the two behind him
“Are you not coming?” He asked, looking at Thatch and Ace
“I’ll stay here; I have some things to attend to in the kitchen,” Thatch replies; he takes a moment to sigh and rub his head
“Someone has to keep this idiot some company,” quips Ace with a grin, only to groan as his comment was received with a hit on the back of the head
“What the hell, Thatch?!”
He snickers at his brothers' antics and resumes running his way to Vista, joining him as they go down the gangway
“Where are we going?”
Marco looks back at the two
“I need to refill some of the medical supplies; after that, we need to stack up on drinks,” Marco answered, looking down at the list he held in his hands
He jumps his way to Marco, hanging from his shoulder to take a look at the note
“What’s gunpowder? And what the hell is whetstone?” the boy asked, squinting at the words in the note
“Language,” muttered Marco, giving a side eye to the child on his shoulder
“Whetstones are used to sharpen swords, Dokucha; I need it to sharpen my swords; the one we have has grown dull,” Vista answered
“Hehehehe, Can I have the swords when you sharpen them?”
“Certainly not.”
“Just for a little bit, just want to test them; how do you know if they go through the skin if you don’t try it?” He grinned, a maniacal look growing in his eyes
“Who are you trying this on?!”
“I can find people to stab real quick; you won’t miss them.”
“No”
“I can use the blood of our enemies.”
“Still no.”
“Bah, what about gunpowder?”
“It’s used for firing weapons like my pistols,” Izou replied, showing the kid his pistols as he said that
“No.”
“Din’t even ask!”
“Don’t need to; you wouldn’t be allowed.”
“Ugh, party poopers,” he whined, sticking his tongue at the two
They roll their eyes at his antics, a chuckle escaping Vista as he shakes his head
“You’re quite something, Dokucha,” Marco stated, putting the note away and beginning to make his way into town
“I wouldn’t trust you with a wea- Agh!” His words were cut off as one of the locals knocked into him, causing him to stumble slightly in surprise
“Watch where you’re walking, dumbass,” they growl, continuing their way deeper into town
“…”
“Stab, Stab?” He said, not taking his eyes off the person as they walked away, an ominous-looking smile growing on his face
“Leave them,” Marco groaned, brushing himself off
“But they deserve it to have their blood splattered!”
“They are not worth it,” Vista sighed, shaking his head
“It’s fine. Let them have their rude ways; they hardly deserve any of you’re attention,” Izou added
“Don’t let people like that bother you, Dokucha; people like that enjoy pushing people around. It’s best not to waste your time with them,” Vista finished
“They were rude; come on, just one stab! I’ll make the prettiest painting with their blood.”
“No”
“No one will mis-
“Absolutely not”
Everyone would be hap-
“Just drop it.”
“Come o-
The three stated their answers firmly, all three sharing a similar tone that told him there was no room for discussion
“Party poopers”

So how was that? I tried to keep Dokucha an unhinged child, in a comedic way and make sure not to pass that line where you’re like bro this kid is a psychopath and no one should be near him. Im not sure if I was able to establish that balance here
