Hey guys, happy Sweet Smelling Saturday! Today I wish I could say I did something extra, as it's Earth Day today, but I didn't. However! I did go to a park and did a nature walk with my friends and learned about edible plants in the area. It was a lot of fun!
Anyway, about the picture! This is from a shrub in my yard called Philadelphus lewisii, also known a Lewis' mock-orange. It would be better if I had some more time and energy today, but I don't, so this is as good as it's going to get today! And that's okay.

Gif reaction required as third attempt overwintering Katsura has finally succeeded. More life waking in the greenhouse as of April 22nd (the greenhouse being sun-warmed to 20C helps);
Cercidiphyllum japonicum, Syringa reticulata, wild Philadelphus lewisii (idr the tagged botanical so excuse if I wrote the wrong species here from a quick googling), & Rosa palustris.

Officially designated Idaho’s state flower in 1931, Syringa (philadelphus lewisii) has been the floral choice of Idaho since at least the 1890′s, when it was depicted in the state seal. These little white flowers are known for their strong, sweet fragrance, nicknamed “mock orange” because of the similar scent of Orange Blossoms.
