Hater Comments ( June 8, 2016)
This response comes from internet tough guy  Cimmerian77. Vice produced an article discussing mixed wrestling  called “The Women Who Get Paid To Beat Up Men and Choke Them Senseless.” Now normally when ever there is a video of a woman beating a man in a contest of athletic prowess or strength there are always comments shouting “FAKE!”Then there is the insecure man who claims they could easily defeat the women they are disparaging. Then there are those who like to be condescending or make an attempt at being clever. Cimmerian77 said :
“Men pay to “let” women choke them senseless. Big difference.”
https://femuscleblog.wordpress.com/2016/06/08/the-women-who-get-paid-to-beat-up-men-and-choke-them-senseless/
That second part is not even a proper sentence, but grammar seems not to be his thing. Unknown to our keyboard warrior, there are competitive matches in which both the man and the woman wrestle to win. These matches are rare, but do happen in mixed wrestling sessions. Semi-competitive matches are events in which the man only puts up token resistance. The fantasy matches are fakes, which are more so to display a woman’s physical power. Cimmerian77 there are women who could kick your ass from here to Korea. Those headscissors and camel clutches really do hurt. Some women actually do have a martial arts background . Brigita Brezovac has a blackbelt  and when she was competing was a force of nature. Every video she did men got a whipping. At 150 lbs of muscle there were many men she dominated in her videos. Women with enough fighting skill may be able to beat many men. You don’t need huge muscles for judo or MMA. Dawn Riehl was able to lift men overhead. Somehow I doubt that our hater would be rushing to challenge an MMA fighter or a female bodybuilder to a wrestling match. Unless Cimmerian77 is the size of Phil Heath or Jeff Seid he would be looking like a pretzel afterwards. Maybe he can do a good Smurf imitation by having his head experience a woman who can squat 345 lbs. Seems like our wannabe He-Man can only open his mouth. Thank goodness for internet anonymity, if these ladies tracked you down, there’s no escaping their death grip.

Phil Mickelson’s 2022 will be remembered for everything but golf
By: Josh Sens December 26, 2022 Phil Mickelson’s 2022 will long be remembered for what happened off the course. Darren Riehl Remember when we thought a pandemic season two years ago was crazy? Man, 2022 had it all. The return of Tiger Woods, the founding of a controversial golf league, the disappearance (and reappearance) of one of golf’s most beloved figures and so much more. But now let’s…

50 Over 50 By Bobbie Oliver
I don’t know about you, but every time I see one of those Hot 30 Under 30 lists, I think, “Finally young people get a break in the entertainment industry!” I kid. I kid. I love young people! Some of my best friends are young people.
But, I also love a good story told by someone who has been around the block a few times. My husband, Chris Oliver, and I just turned 50 and we’re both comics, so what better a time to put together a Hot 50 over 50 list! After being in comedy for 30 years, I’m learning that ageism is giving sexism a run for its money. This industry tends to want to put its mature voices out to pasture, right at the moment when they have the most to say.
So, here’s a list of 50 Comics, Storytellers and Writers over 50 years old that you should go see live, watch their videos online, read all their stuff, listen to their podcasts, watch their web series, buy their books, albums and general merch. Show your support for some funny, smart and important voices.
Is this list exhaustive? NO. Right after I made it, I thought of 25 other people to add. I forgot a ton of people because I’m 50. And no one looks their age anymore, so if you aren’t on this list, you’re probably pulling it off! Sadly, several people declined to be on this list because they didn’t want anyone to know their age. I respect their wishes. But, hey, audiences and bookers don’t need a list to tell you to support comics, storytellers and writers in the real prime of their lives- with lots of experiences under their belts and plenty of stories to tell. Performers and writers don’t lose their perspective at age 39 or 49 or 59. Think outside the under 40 box.
 In no particular order… 50 Over 50

The AV Interview: Richard Riehle (Limbo, Grounded for Life, Office Space)
ANDERSONVISION: What was so appealing about making Limbo?
As in deciding about all projects, the criteria for me is: script, role, and people you’ll be working with. Limbo is such a clever script, full of intriguing ideas, and unexpected twists and turns, and much of the time nothing is as it seems. And then there’s Phil, who gets to have quite a variety of fun interactions with everyone, and…
