2. Thanks so much for giving me an opportunity to share things about Richie. I’m don’t know the best way to put OC lore out there so these kinds of asks help a lot! More to read below :)c

A fact about Richie is that he tried isolating himself in the Glowing Sea before his long trek out to the Mojave Desert. He had just cut all ties in the Commonwealth and heard the earth-shattering news that Mr. House was still alive. He thought the tough conditions in the Sea might calm him down and set him straight, but it turns out manifesting about the man who doomed you in a twisted hellscape isn't very healthy. His time spent there only turned his heartbroken anger into a full blown revenge quest. Surely killing an old flame would make him feel better...right?

The fact of the matter is, even if he hadn’t passed the point of no return in the Sea itself, it would have happened somewhere else eventually. His steady decline was inevitable because he is just... so hard on himself, refusing to accept any kind of help or prolonged companionship. Under his confident exterior, the guilt and grief is eating him alive, and sadly all this self-destruction leeches out onto his friendships and lovers as well.

The sorrows of a man who needs to feel love to be okay, but snuffs it out before it can grow...

Man, Sun needs to go out onto that beach and have a nice scream. Just...push EVERYTHING out! Like, my gosh, I'm feeling stressed FOR him!! And, while I'm still feeling a lot of anticipation for Dazzle telling Sun their 'secret', that is NOT something he needs added onto the pile of awful things that he has right now.

I will say...I cannot WAIT to see how Moon reacts when he gets to that labyrinth and finds that Bloodmoon is already dead (cause I'm VERY sure that Monty isn't going to get to Earth before she kills Bloodmoon). But, that also makes me worried. Like, I'd LOVE if Earth and Monty are already gone by the time Moon gets there, and he just sees Bloodmoon dead on the ground and is just STUNNED! I then just imagine Ruin coming over some speaker and being like, "Oh, yes, you JUST missed your chance at him! Too bad!" But, if Moon learns that it was EARTH who killed Bloodmoon...PHEWF!! He might ACTUALLY explode in anger!

While it still hurts, at THIS point, I'm choosing to think about Moon the way I would think about an antagonist. If HE'S going to fully accept the "bad guy" role, then that's how I'm going to think of him. ESPECIALLY with his "being the bad guy isn't so bad" thing! Like, okay, cool. You're the villain now. Great. I'll just keep having a good time screaming over the past villain who's currently working toward redemption! Even as a villain, I liked him more anyway. (Yes. I'm petty and also angry. I'm kinda just letting out frustration tbh.)

I AM going to consider a future event to makes myself feel better. So, Earth killing Bloodmoon...she's probably going to go down a bit of a spiral (probably not a huge one, but just kind of question herself). At some point, Eclipse will show up (with him likely dying, I feel like he might try and spend more time with Earth when he can), and Earth will tell him what happened and just generally express how she's feeling about it. For any of her doubts, Eclipse would probably just be like "Look. What YOU did was for the purpose of defending yourself and Monty. Bloodmoon was actively ripping them apart. You took action. That's not evil."

It very well might not happen, but thinking about those two becoming closer makes me happy. So, that's what I'm choosing to think about right now.

NOSTALGIC DAYS KENT AFFECTION #1

We were on break in between lectures when I invited Kent to join me on the outskirts of town.

EMMA : Phewf… So what do you think of Est's classes? It's a lot to take in, right?

KENT : Yeah but isn't he amazing? He's teaching me so much about things I didn't even know existed until now!

KENT : And it's like, I'm doing my best but I'm barely able to keep up with everything he's saying. Well, actually, if we're being honest, I'm not keeping up at all…

KENT : It's just so different… I feel like I'm learning more from him than I ever did at my old magic school…

EMMA : (I actually thought he'd be struggling in such an unfamiliar place… That's why I invited him out here for a chance to finally relax…)

EMMA : (But he doesn't seem tired at all. If anything, he seems to be having fun.)

KENT : Did you see Est-Sensei praising me during practise? You did, right?

EMMA : Yeah, he said, 'It's a little rough around the edges, but you've got the technique down.'

KENT : Hehe… It felt so good being praised in front of everyone like that.

KENT : I barely got any praise at all in my old school.

Kent had been in the middle of stretching, arms reaching out to the sky, when he suddenly turned toward me.

KENT : That said…

EMMA : Hm?

KENT : The best part about coming to Magia Seminar was getting the chance to meet you…

KENT : Don't get me wrong, it's been great getting to relive my days as a student all over.

KENT : But it makes me even happier knowing that you're here by my side. It makes every day here even more fun!

KENT : I know, I know… You're at Magia Seminar as a guild keeper, not a a student, but… Still…

EMMA : Hehe, well true as that may be… I'm glad I'm here with you, too, Kent.

KENT : Wahh-- SERIOUSLY!?

With a smile as bright as the sun, Kent took my hand in his without a single second of hesitation.

EMMA : I'll always be here, Kent, wishing you all the luck in the world as you chase your dreams.

i need to know this, Top 5 books? You have good taste and know your thing so I'll probably add them to my 'must read' list.

uuuuuhhhhhh i haven’t read a lot lately lmao im very tired. i just bought a hardcover copy of Patrick rothfuss’s the name of the wind which i lové for certain reasons & dislike for others. haven’t read it in ages tho so i will stick w love. the way he writes abt things like music is kinda spectacular & he embeds magic into the everything & i love the idea of this very subjective narrator & I think it’s clever. haven’t read the others yet tho.i Loved illuminae i thought it was gripping & brilliant & FUN. the format of it is brilliant & again, a rly fun play with narrator!!! it’s a space opera & it’s het but i Loved them so that was awesome . again, haven’t had time to read the sequel. the protagonist is this COOL girl so major propsskulduggery pleasant is a rly cool series abt magic & modern day world & its rly funny & a bit darker (esp as the series goes on) but the author has this impeccable grasp on the type of humour i rly enjoy & also like a cool quick pace i try to work into my own stuff bc it’s brisk & has just enough detail to be Gripping but not enough for waffling on & being exhausting. the main character is a girl too so once again huge props . as is a recurring theme i have not finished the series lmao but i think my bro has & he enjoyed it tooim trying rly hard to think abt any books at all lmao im sorry these aren’t necessarily my faves bc what a Difficult thing to dookay number four let’s see,,,oh obernewtyn!! i haven’t finished the SERIES surprise surprise 🙄🙄🙄bUt it’s a post nuclear apocalyptic world where some ppl have developed powers & naughty children & kids they suspect of having powers are sent to a place called obernewtyn officially to keep everyone safe unofficially to experiment on them & basically this kid elspeth accidentally becomes the leader of a revolution & it’s so cool & i love it & the author is aussie & it’s also disappointingly het but she’s a very cool main character. it’s in first person too which can be rly interesting & an unreliable narrator which AGAIN is a THEME apparently (who knew???)ok fifth book let’s see. I’ve talked ur ears off abt Tamora Pierce in heaps of posts so i won’t include her even tho I love her books (& I Have finished those series lmao!!) I’ll pick smth else,,, theres the wheel of time series (again, not finished reading lmao) which has heaps of kickass women in it so many women i love!! but i wanna narrow this to one book I have read so u might get to pick smth easy. i genuinely can’t think of anything this is so bad :/// papergirls is a graphic novel it’s bright & colourful & rly fun & i rly enjoyed reading that!!phewf done ask me again after a reading binge lmao
