1996: The influential Petrova family, with roots in both America and the Soviet Union, rises to prominence. Boris Petrova, a charismatic, but no-nonsense politician, wins the presidential election, promising stability and a new era of prosperity under a socialist framework.

Boris Petrova was a former US diplomat who served in Soviet Russia. He was born in the United States, his father a Russian diplomat living in the US. Boris moved back to the U.S. in the late 1980s and quickly rose through the political ranks due to his charisma and connections. He became President in 1996, leading the country with a vision of socialist transformation.

During Boris Petrova's presidency, the United States underwent significant transformations. His administration dealt with major natural disasters, initiated substantial military reforms, and navigated complex international relations. Domestically, his policies focused on centralizing economic control, expanding social welfare, and promoting cultural and educational reforms aligned with socialist ideals. These efforts aimed to stabilize the nation, improve living standards, and align the U.S. with its new identity as a socialist state under the influence of Soviet principles.

1997: Introduction of the "People’s Welfare Act" which expands social welfare programs, including universal healthcare and free education, funded by the nationalized industries.

1998: A massive earthquake strikes California, causing widespread devastation in cities like Los Angeles and San Francisco. 2000: Boris Petrova consolidates power, aligning the U.S. more closely with Soviet principles. Nationalization of key industries and increased state control over media and education ensue.

Hurricane Allison wreaks havoc along the Gulf Coast, leading to significant flooding in Texas and Louisiana. The Petrova administration deploys federal troops for rescue and recovery operations and establishes a comprehensive flood defense program.

This went hand in hand with the Implementation of the "Unified Education System" standardizing curricula across the nation to emphasize socialist principles, Soviet history, and collective values alongside American history and civic responsibility.

2003: Boris Petrova plays a key role in the formation of the "Global Socialist Coalition" a political and economic alliance with other socialist-leaning countries, aimed at counterbalancing the influence of NATO and capitalist nations.

2004: Boris Petrova's Son Elias Petrova, becomes Vice President, signaling the beginning of a political dynasty. The Petrova family manipulates elections and uses their influence to maintain control through the media, educational institutions and financial compensation.

Elias is Boris's son, who followed in his footsteps. He becomes vice-president. Educated in both Soviet and American institutions, Elias was known for his strategic mind and political acumen. As President, he continued his father's legacy of centralization and state control, accelerating both.

2005: Boris pushes for and ultimately begins a “centralization” of the states. Borders are altered to create four districts to help consolidate power and reduce citizen autonomy.

The Atlantic District:

- Consolidated into a single administrative unit, the Atlantic District, this region would focus on education, technology, and maritime industries.

- Major cities like Boston and Hartford would serve as distribution centers for this district

- [Former] New York still acts as the entertainment capital of the country. However, it is a far cry from what it used to be in the days of the Republic.

The Great Plains District:

- Former states like North Dakota, South Dakota, Nebraska, and Kansas merged into the Great Plains Collective District, emphasizing agricultural production and food distribution.

- Large state-run farms would dominate the landscape.

The Pacific District:

- Former states California, Oregon, and Washington, Nevada, Idaho, Utah and Arizona form the Pacific District The region as a whole dedicated to technological innovation, research, and development as well as the home to many federal agencies.

- Silicon Valley would be a hub of state-controlled tech enterprises.

- The Federal capitol moves from Washington D.C. to Las Vegas. It’s desert surroundings and existing infrastructure made it the ideal location.

The Industrial District:

- Former states in the South, including Texas, Louisiana,South Carolina, North Carolina, Georgia, Florida and Alabama, would be grouped into an industrial zone focusing on energy production, petrochemicals, and manufacturing.

- Key cities like Houston and New Orleans would be central to these activities.

- Miami serves as the capitol of this district given it’s location to allied Cuba.

2006: Boris Petrova negotiates the "Pan-American Socialist Agreement" with several Latin American countries, fostering economic cooperation, mutual defense pacts, and cultural exchange programs to expand socialist influence in the Western Hemisphere.

2007: Boris Petrova negotiates the "Trans-Atlantic Socialist Partnership" with European socialist countries, enhancing economic and political collaboration across the Atlantic. This partnership aims to create a powerful bloc counterbalancing NATO and capitalist countries.

2008: Boris Petrova retires and Elias Petrova is elected President in a landslide victory. The country sees further centralization of power, and dissent is increasingly suppressed.

listen none of that bullshit of an ✨intimate wedding✨ they go ALL OUT its HUGE and theres a lot of food and a big ball and everything

Both of them wear white. Nikolai wears a typically russian kaftan with golden details and big sleeves, and also a sword cause decorative swords are my shit. He also has a crown that falls on his forehead its pretty and it makes his eyes shine.

And she wears an off the shoulder gown, with a sweetheart neckline and a princess cut with big skirt. It also has big long sleeves. She wears a big tiara too with beads that frame her face and fall onto her neck.

The wedding has reporters and photographers and all like, its that big. i mean irs the king of ravka getting married i guess it makes sense.

Everything is decorated in white blue and gold, with delphiniums and jasmine, the place smells so fresh and summery

Oh its a spring wedding. They have it at the palace cause fuck institutionalized religion idc. And its on a very sunny and fresh day 😌

And when they kiss its so cute too cause theyre both so impatient for it, afterthe first kiss nikolai kisses zoya all over her face and shes so smiley and all

im thinking that decades after some of the most emblematic historic pictures from Nikolis reign are him and zoya kissing and zoya signing the marriage ceritifcate with him smiling behind her, as well as zoya feeding him cake with a knife

Their first dance!! its a rather animated dance he twirls her around and lifts her up and all and its full of cheers

He also dances with pretty much all of his girlfriends, genya first. And with some little girls too. And with his mom of course.

They cut the cake together and zoya feeds him a bit of it on the same knife and he gets all messy cause i mean look its difficult to est a whole piece of cake from a knife. born to the mistress of a russian oligarch’s son in st. petersburg russia, maria never saw much of her mother. it wasn’t until she was 10, and was shipped off to boarding school in france that she found out who her mother was–– a young hotel attendant who had caught her father’s eye on his visit home from the us. he had been visiting his family; his wife and their three year old son illya. when maria was born, she was immediately taken into the petrov family, to be raised by a host of nannies and his father’s mother.

from a young age, maria displayed a great affinity towards different artistic ventures and was quick to pick up languages. she was athletic, and even trained in fencing during her school years. at the boarding school in france she learned to ride, shoot (for hunting purposes) and continued training in fencing. in addition, by the behest of his father, she took up practicing martial arts like krav maga. though she was never a top student, and rather spent her time painting or exploring the french countryside (to find small animals to kill and dissect), she did show good academic progress throughout the years.

it was always her father’s approval she was after. though she had been taken into the family, maria always felt second to her older half-brother illya. he was the apple of his father’s eye, and the heir to his businesses and connections. this was only made worse when maria, now out of boarding school, was finally let in on the big family secret. that her father, and his father also, were some of the most important members of the russian mafia within the united states, and also back in their home country. illya had already known for years, and had been prepared to take on a role within the business. maria felt betrayed by her father, and jealous of her brother, who was once again seemingly more important than herself.

her time did come to be finally included in the family business. she first shadowed her uncle, acting as an errand runner and overall helper. it wasn’t one or two lifeless bodies that she hauled during this time, to help cover up her family’s tracks. eventually she was allowed to work with her brother, who shamelessly used maria to do his dirty work. everything that could seem shady or illegal, it was her job to do. she followed her brother to the us, and for a few years, lived a drugged-up and lavish lifestyle in downtown chicago. everything was going well; she had accustomed to the job, killed her first man, and spent her free time rolling in bed with different men and women she picked up from the clubs. this was, until the fbi finally caught up to the petrov dynasty.

as illya went into hiding, maria was once again tasked with finishing the job he had so incompetently botched. she left her lavish lifestyle behind, and moved to san amore, colorado, in search of one rose sondersby.while in school, maria had taken it upon herself to perfect her english accent. she had at a young age decided she would study in london, either to become an actor or an artist. of course, her father would not allow for such a thing, and as such her dreams of becoming an actress were quickly squashed. it was from these long-buried dreams that she came up with her alter-ego, elaine thévenard. elaine was a french girl, who had always dreamt of becoming an actor. she studied acting in london, and eventually graduated with a bachelors in said subject. however, work was short and she eventually decided to move to san amore in hopes of a new start. she started working at club kiss as a bartender, and moonlighted as a model and actress in the occasional advert or as a background character.
