Cothelstone Tower, Somerset
Cothelstone was an ancient seat of the Stawel family. In the second half of the 18th century it was the property of Mary Stawel (1726-1780), the sole surviving direct descendant. In recognition of her ancient lineage, George III made her a baroness in her own right in 1760, with the title to pass to her sons from her first marriage to Henry Bilson Legge, Earl of Dartmouth. Epic Fantasy through the Ages
A Chronology of Story
This is a work in progress, but here is my list as of 6 July 2023. Please feel free to send me additions or corrections. I have focused on epic (works that are long and took a long time to create) and fantasy (works that include an element of magic, the supernatural, or superpowers). Some of the list could be categorized as myth, some as Literature™️, some as science fiction, but beyond these categories are the two main criteria of epic and fantasy. I also don't fully know what all of the ancient to modern works encompass, but that's the fun of read and find out. I probably have added some things that don't properly meet my criteria, and that's fine with me. 🌺

#Repost @nb_cannabiz & @wizzardofahhs_ with @get_repost: ・・・ "CALL YOUR CONGRESSPERSON TO SUPPORT HR5634, THE MEDICAL CANNABIS RESEARCH ACT! As of this week, the Medical Cannabis Research Act of 2018, introduced by Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) has 34 sponsors in the house, including House Judiciary Chairman Bob Goodlatte. “This is the cannabis reform legislation that has the greatest chance to pass this Congress.” Gaetz pointed out that the House Judiciary Committee, in particular, hasn’t taken up cannabis reform since 1978. “Cannabis reform has always faced a “catch 22” in congress,” said Gaetz, explaining that they (lawmakers) can’t change the law without having demonstrated research. “But, often times we cannot perform research without changing the law. Our bill ends this log jam, by opening access to cannabis research and pursuing potential cures wherever we may find them.” Also, the bill would create a “safe harbor” for academic and medical institutions that want to engage in medical cannabis research, without risking other federal grants they receive. And, it would allow for a more collaborative environment between researchers and private sector innovators. because you can never have too many lgbtq+ rec lists right? here's yet another one for your pleasure. i've tried for the most part to include books by lgbtq+ authors (there are some that aren't, i realise, mostly because they were so good i had to include them), and i've also, to the best of my knowledge/memory, put trigger warnings alongside.
criteria for inclusion
happy ending
no bury your gays
lgbtq+ character is the/a main and gets a pov
not harmful representation
lgbtq-ness is not the only plotline - tho there may be argued to be some exceptions to this included. i mean more like, the plot does not revolve around them realising they're gay and having a terrible time of everything before someone (usually straight) tells them they're allowed to be happy or whatever. you know what kind of book i mean.
most importantly (lol) i liked it
p.s. there will be more parts to this, as i read more. if there's one not on here that you think should be, feel free to ask about it. i'll either have not read it or it'll be excluded for one of the reasons above. equally, if there's one on here with bad rep of any sort, let me know and i'll take it off.

Garnsey's Tower, Blackborough, Devon
Near the hamlet of Blackborough in Devon’s Blackdown Hills, remnants of the local Whetstone mining industry can be found in the woodland. A battered pile of stones could be assumed to be another relic, but the more curious visitor will be intrigued to discover that it is marked on old maps as ‘Garnsey’s Tower’.
