A list of important black teachers during segregation would give a kind of secret history of American music. Many names are forgotten, but not all of them. Louis Armstrong made a point of honoring Peter Davis, his first bandleader at the Colored Waif’s Boys Home in New Orleans....
Captain Walter Dyett is another slightly more familiar name. An extraordinarily large number of young black students from under Dyett’s baton at DuSable High in Chicago went on to have notable careers, including mainstream artists like Redd Foxx and Bo Diddley, plus dozens of jazz greats like Nat King Cole, Dorothy Donegan, Milt Hinton, Eddie Harris, John Gilmore, Wilbur Ware, Dinah Washington, Gene Ammons, Joseph Jarman, Fred Hopkins, Von Freeman, Clifford Jordan, Johnny Hartman, Richard Davis, Julian Priester, Leroy Jenkins, and so many others. Richard Wang authored the valuable overview, “Captain Walter Henri Dyett (1901-1969).”

Rory Gimore Reading Challenge
I put it there has a reminder to myself that I want to read more (so much more). The public library will be more accessible to me when I am going to be where I’m moving this summer, so, no excuses. Even if I should really work on my art more than on my reading. Would be nice if it could help me feel less... inadequate. Somehow. Just a little.

I've seen you saying Talbot will give up the location of the Lighthouse a couple of times. First, how did he even know where the Lighthouse actually is? And second, Daisy was there when he's calling, and I don't think he'll have access to any other communication device in the base, how would he even tell Hale anything?
Hi @bob-newby-superhero
I don’t think Talbot’s given up the location yet, but that could be part of what Hale is instructing him to do.  The Base being under siege in 19 suggests that they somehow get the location, be that through Talbot or using Fitzsimmons as leverage.  Just off the top of my head she could have something hidden on Talbot he activates, like a hidden beacon.  Or he sneaks and uses some of the equipment while the team is distracted.
It also might not be Hale attacking at all, rather I don’t trust him as far as I can throw him Caine has or the Confederacy somehow found them out too.  IE Caine left a tracker on the Zephyr.
Because looking at Guest Stars for 19, its missing Hale and all of her minions.  Its possible Ruby, Werner (pretty sure those two will be done), Hale, and Creel all land in the Gravitonium by the end of the episode (and look that would make 6 like Robin’s picture).  Or they manage to capture and lock them up by the end of 18 and they aren’t in 19.
Guest starring are Adrian Pasdar as Brigadier General Glenn Talbot, Jeff Ward as Deke, Catherine Dent as General Hale, Dove Cameron as Ruby, Brian Patrick Wade as Carl Creel, Spencer Treat Clark as Werner Von Strucker, Shontae Saldana as Candice Lee, Peter Mensah as Qovas, Lola Glaudini as Polly Hinton, Lexy Kolker as Robin Hinton, Brent Bailey as Agent Thomas and Dominic Daniel as Agent Wahl.
Guest starring are Adrian Pasdar as Glenn Talbot, Jeff Ward as Deke, Maximilian Osinski  as Agent Davis, Briana Venskus as Piper, Peter Mensah as Qovas, Patrick Warburton as General Stoner, Jake Busey as Tony Caine, Chen Tang as Agent Kim, Brent Bailey as Agent Thomas and Dominic Daniel as Agent Wahl.
Also missing are Polly and Robin, who could be moved after Talbot attacks them or are just safely hidden away during the attack.
The Press Release for 20 will really help me here.

Rory Gilmore’s Reading List
This is a collection of books mentioned or read on Gilmore Girls, minus travel and cooking books. Bold the ones you have read.
I saw this list on @ksfd89 ‘s blog and was curious. Since it’s looking really depressing, I also decided to italicise things I’ve read partially (except poetry collections). Not that much better, it turns out.
