Top Qualities to Look for in the Best Pest Control Services in Barrie
Finding the right pest control service can be the difference between a quick, effective resolution and an ongoing pest issue. If you’re looking for the best pest control in Barrie, knowing what qualities to prioritize can help you make an informed decision. At 4K Pest Control, we’re committed to offering top-notch service to protect your property from infestations. Here are the essential qualities to look for when choosing a pest control provider to ensure you get the best results.
1. Proven Expertise and Certification
The best pest control companies should have certified and well-trained technicians. Pest management requires knowledge of insect biology, treatment techniques, and safe handling of pest control products. Always look for companies with certified pest control professionals who are experienced in handling various pest issues. Companies like 4K Pest Control in Barrie ensure that all technicians are well-trained and follow industry best practices.
Certifications, such as those from national or regional pest control associations, are also a positive sign. These certifications indicate that the service provider adheres to high-quality standards in safety and effectiveness, so look for these credentials when researching options.
2. Extensive Range of Services
Pest issues can vary from one property to another. Whether it’s rodents, bedbugs, termites, or other pests, the best pest control companies should offer a broad range of services to address different types of infestations. Look for a company that has experience in handling various pests commonly found in Barrie and nearby areas.
4K Pest Control offers comprehensive pest control and pest removal services in Newmarket and Barrie, covering residential, commercial, and industrial properties. This flexibility ensures they can handle any infestation, regardless of scale.
3. Customized Treatment Plans
An effective pest control service doesn’t rely on a one-size-fits-all approach. The best pest control services in Barrie assess each case individually and develop a tailored treatment plan. Customization is essential to address the specific needs of your property and the type of pest issue you’re facing.
4K Pest Control, for example, inspects the property thoroughly, identifies the root of the infestation, and then formulates a targeted treatment plan. This approach not only ensures effective results but also minimizes the impact on your surroundings.
4. Eco-Friendly Solutions
As environmental concerns grow, many property owners are looking for pest control services that offer eco-friendly and sustainable solutions. A reputable pest control company should offer treatments that are both effective against pests and safe for the environment.
4K Pest Control is committed to environmentally responsible practices, utilizing eco-friendly solutions whenever possible. These methods protect not only your home but also the surrounding ecosystem, making it a win-win choice for Barrie residents who value sustainability.
5. Transparency and Clear Communication
Clear communication from a pest control company can make a significant difference in the service experience. The best providers are transparent about their processes, pricing, and any potential risks associated with treatments. They take the time to explain the procedures, expected results, and any precautions you should take.
At 4K Pest Control, we prioritize open communication. From the initial consultation to the completion of the treatment, our team ensures you’re informed at every step. We answer questions about the products we use and provide detailed recommendations on preventing future infestations.
6. Prompt and Reliable Service
A reliable pest control company understands the urgency of an infestation. The best pest control services in Barrie will respond quickly to service requests and provide flexible scheduling options to accommodate clients’ needs. Look for companies known for their responsiveness and reliability, as these traits often indicate a strong commitment to customer satisfaction.
4K Pest Control prides itself on its quick response times and reliable service. Whether it’s an emergency call for a rodent infestation or routine pest management, we make sure that our clients’ needs are met without unnecessary delays.
7. Positive Customer Reviews and Testimonials
A pest control service’s reputation often speaks volumes. Customer reviews and testimonials provide valuable insight into a company’s track record. Check online reviews to see what previous customers have said about their experiences. You can also ask for recommendations from local businesses or neighbors who may have used pest control services in Barrie.
4K Pest Control has built a reputation for high-quality, dependable service in both pest removal services in Newmarket and Barrie. Our satisfied customers frequently recommend us for our effective solutions and dedicated service.
8. Follow-Up Services
A truly effective pest control service doesn’t end with a single treatment. Many reputable companies offer follow-up services to ensure that the infestation has been fully eliminated and that there is no risk of recurrence. Look for a pest control provider that offers guarantees and follow-up services as part of their package.
4K Pest Control includes follow-up inspections in our service plans to verify that the problem has been completely resolved. This level of commitment ensures that our clients in Barrie and surrounding areas experience lasting peace of mind.
9. Reasonable Pricing and Value for Money
Pricing is a significant consideration for most property owners when choosing pest control services. While the cheapest option isn’t always the best, a reputable company should offer transparent pricing and good value for money. Look for a provider who offers comprehensive services at fair prices, with no hidden fees.
4K Pest Control provides competitive pricing for its services in Barrie, with detailed estimates for each job. We believe in giving our clients excellent value, balancing cost with the highest level of service quality.
10. Preventative Solutions
Preventative pest control is as essential as dealing with an active infestation. The best pest control companies in Barrie not only remove current pests but also help prevent future problems. They should provide clients with guidance and preventative treatments to keep pests from returning.
At 4K Pest Control, we offer proactive pest management solutions and provide helpful advice to our clients to reduce the risk of future infestations. This can include recommendations on property maintenance, sealing entry points, and eliminating conditions that attract pests.
11. Safety-First Approach
Safety is critical in pest control, both for the residents and the technicians handling the treatment. Pest control companies must follow strict safety protocols to protect everyone involved. The best pest control services prioritize safety by using approved products and educating clients on any necessary precautions.
4K Pest Control upholds strict safety standards, especially when working in homes with pets and young children. We ensure that all treatments are applied safely and in accordance with industry regulations.

Ticks are here… How to Protect you and your pets from Ticks!
Hey Ontario….I think spring is finally here…Hopefully.
The grass is greening up nicely and many trees are in full bloom, this is a magical time of the year. If you’re like my family, we are sick and tired of COVID-19. We are all feeling isolated, hate the social distancing and upset with working and learning from home.
The very best thing we did is get a new puppy. I can honestly say that she has been the greatest part of COVID-19. Yes, something positive about Covid-19! It’s been many years since I’ve trained dogs. All of our bed bug dogs have now retired and our family dog Copper passed away in 2019. Although Luna is six months old, the amount of love and investment in her training is immeasurable. Luna is not just a family pet for us, she is a highly trained #Canada Goose hazing dog. How cool is that? She gets to chase geese for a living! In and out of ponds, running around golf courses, parks, playgrounds and beaches. Needless to say, I need her to be unbelievably trained, socialized and an all-around good girl.
That’s nice, what does this have to do with Ticks?
Luna and I are always active during training, work and our days off because training never ends for a dog. I have also noticed that more people are enjoying the outdoors more than normal. I see more dogs and people walking than ever before. Now that the snow and ice are gone, people are leaving the sidewalks for a more tranquil stroll in the forest. Remember, it’s spring, and lurking in the shadows is danger; bloodthirsty, a forbidding 8-legged bugger…#TICKS.
At this time of the year, our main concern is Ixodes scapularis (a.k.a. #blacklegged or #deer tick).
In particular, the left-over black-legged ticks from the fall seem to be making a real strong run for people and pets this spring. Deer Ticks are known for carrying #Lyme disease and other diseases too; including babesiosis, anaplasmosis, and a few rare but more serious infections.
Luna and I need to be ever vigilant. Remember, we are constantly in long grasses, forests and very humid areas in search of geese and adventure. We ensure that Luna is on a Vet approved tick medicine and I follow the below precautions. Because Luna is usually filthy after work, she gets a bath and brushed for ticks too.
Don’t worry it’s not all doom and gloom, get outside this spring! Honestly, we encourage you to enjoy the outdoors and breathe in some fresh air; just make sure you have a good tick prevention plan to stop ticks from biting you and your pet.
According to our good friends at The Tick Encounter Resource Center the University of Rhode Island. The following precautions will help you stay tick-free:
Make tucking in pants stylish
Spray shoes with tick repellant
Protect pets with quick tick knock-down products
Stay in the middle of trails
Do a tick check daily

Idaho is Going to Kill 90% of the State’s Wolves. That’s a Tragedy – and Bad Policy
Fed by myths, fairytales and Disney, America’s demonization of wolves has been going on for centuries, and continues full throttle
Kim Heacox | Guardian USA | May 12, 2021
Nothing embodies wildness like wolves, our four-legged shadow, the dogs that long ago refused our campfire and today prefer freedom and risk over the soft sofa and short leash. The dogs that howl more than bark, add music to the land, and – if left alone to work their magic – make entire ecosystems healthy and whole.
“Idaho Bill Seeks To Kill More Than 1,000 Wolves.”
Witness Yellowstone, a national park reborn in the 1990s when wolves, absent for 70 years, were reintroduced. Everything changed for the better. Elk stopped standing around like feedlot cattle. They learned to run like the wind again. Streamside willows and other riparian vegetation, previously trampled by the elk, returned as well, and with it, a chorus of birds. All because of wolves.
Yet in the state of Idaho, new legislation signed days ago by Governor Brad Little will allow professional hunters and trappers to use helicopters, snowmobiles, ATVs, night vision equipment, snares and other means to kill roughly 90% of the state’s wolves, knocking them down from an estimated 1,500 to 150. A group of retired state, federal and tribal wildlife managers wrote to Little asking him to veto the wolf kill bill, saying statewide livestock losses to wolves have been under 1% for cattle and 3% for sheep. The group further noted that the overall elk population has actually increased since wolves were reintroduced into Idaho more than two decades ago. It made no difference.
Why exterminate the wolves? To make the country safe for cattle and sheep; more productive for deer, elk, caribou and moose. To better fill hunters’ freezers with winter meat. To sell the pelts.
But there’s something more. Something nobody talks about.
“The wolf exerts a powerful influence on the human imagination,” wrote the nature writer Barry Lopez in Of Wolves and Men. “It takes your stare and turns it back on you.”
Maybe the wolf, freer than you or I will ever be, reminds us too much of our own self-domestication. That in a rush to create a stable environment, we’ve put ourselves in stables, and that paradox haunts people who see wolves as something to be feared, hated, destroyed.
America’s demonization and slaughter of wolves has been going on for centuries – fed by myths, fairytales, Disney films and more – and continues today, full throttle from Wisconsin to Idaho to Alaska. This is our true forever war – the war on Nature, specifically on wildness and its sinister poster child. The wolf could be out there right now, sneaking under the barbed wire, stalking our profits.
In November 2020, the Trump administration, as part of its rollback of environmental regulations, ordered the US Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS) to remove the gray wolf from the endangered species list. Western ranchers and farmers were pleased; wildlife advocates called the decision “willful ignorance”. EcoWatch reported that the de-listing occurred “despite the enduring precarity of wolf populations throughout much of the country. According to the most recent USFWS data, there are only 108 wolves in Washington state, 158 in Oregon, and 15 in California, while wolves are ‘functionally extinct’ in Nevada, Utah, and Colorado.”
“Wisconsin’s brutal wolf hunt in late February generated outrage – and for good reason,” Jodi Habush Sinykin, an environmental attorney, and Donald Waller, an ecologist and conservation biologist, wrote in the Washington Post. “Throngs of unlicensed hunters joined those with licenses with packs of dogs, snowmobiles and GPS technology. The wolves stood no chance. This unprecedented hunt took place during the breeding season, killing pregnant females and disrupting family packs at a time critical to pup survival. A full accounting of the hunt’s biological toll is impossible, as the state declined to inspect carcasses.”
Who are we, as a species? Are we global gardeners, or might we be good guardians as well?
As for Alaska: if you want to see a wolf this summer, skip Denali national park, where the Toklat pack – Alaska’s most famous wolf pack, studied since the late 1930s – has been decimated by hunters and trappers who bait the animals just outside park boundaries. The legendary wildlife biologist Adolph Murie, who studied the Toklat pack for three years and teased apart more than 1,700 scat samples, came to a stunning conclusion: wolves that prey on caribou and Dall sheep primarily take the old or infirm. In effect, they create strong prey populations. Wolves are nature’s chisel and lathe.
“Who Are We, As A Species? Are We Global Gardeners, or Might We Be Good Guardians As Well?”
And wolf attacks on humans are so rare as to be statistically non-existent.
Over the past half-century, wildlife around the world has dropped 68%. The human race, together with our livestock, now accounts for more than 95% of all mammal biomass on Earth. Everything else – from whales to wolves to lions, tigers and bears – adds up to only 4.2%. And that percentage continues to fall.
Knowing that, who are we, as a species? Are we global gardeners who manage everything – plant and animal – as crops on a sustained yield basis, where wildlife is game and wolves are pests? Or might we be good guardians as well, caretakers who regard others beyond ourselves as capable of love; of celebrating their young and mourning their dead?
While writing Of Wolves and Men in the late 1970s, Barry Lopez raised two hybrid red wolves, Prairie and River, an experience that he said gave him “a fundamental joy”. He concluded: “I learned from River that I was a human being and that he was a wolf and that we were different. I valued him as a creature, but he did not have to be what I imagined he was. It is with this freedom from dogma, I think, that the meaning of the words ‘the celebration of life’ becomes clear.”
— Kim Heacox is the author of many books, including The Only Kayak, a memoir, and Jimmy Bluefeather, a novel, both winners of the National Outdoor Book Award. He lives in Alaska

Have you heard that apparently Supergirl universe will merge with Arrowverse after the crisis of infinite earths? How is that even possible? Also, does this mean we could finally be free of Viris Pest? *keeps fingers crossed*
It might. To keep a long explanation short, the many parallel universes occupy the same space, but vibrate at different frequencies so that they don’t collide. If two of them -- in this case, Earth-1 and Earth-38 -- were to reach the same frequency, they would merge. As for Virus Pest, any changes to the Earth-1 timeline made during the Crisis could easily erase that farce of a marriage, thus removing her from Barry’s life; only time will tell if they go that route.

Why Snowbarry is Endgame: Part 3
Now is the best time of any to release this list. I told you it was coming. My first two posts made some noise and I intend on releasing more for us and to trigger the WAs even more. Here we go!
1. Iris’/Candice’s screen time in general has been reduced. What was the one thing besides WA as a whole that ruined the end of Season 2 through Season 5? Viris Pest being everywhere for no reason. Even though the step-siblings are married and have bratty a kid that barged into the future while lying to everyone, the Viris is rarely seen as much around the show anymore. We know she is getting a dead guy’s office to do her tumblr blogging, so she will be out of star labs officially and away from barking orders to the team from now on. Good news for us that don’t care for useless characters being shoved everywhere. 2. Speaking of Candice, has anyone seen her telling behavior on SM lately? Depressedville. Usually when someone is depressed and show their fake victim hood it can’t be good, personally and professionally. We know she and Danielle do not get along and we know Candice unfollowed the official show and Danielle last year. We know she doesn’t even bother promoting the show anymore, unless it’s about WA, but where have they been lately? Barry and Viris don’t even look at each other, let alone touch, fake kiss or hug. You can thank the show runners for doing this. They are finally changing course. 3. Caitlin/Killer Frost/Danielle’s story line more exciting than Cicada as a villain. I never doubted for a second the moment the writers and show runners gave Caitlin her due she will flourish. How cool was Killer Frost at the beginning of Season 3? I was scared of her but I also loved her character, her persona, she was a badass, still is. She used both Caitlin’s medical knowledge and her ice powers to defeat anyone coming her way. The more they merge Caitlin with KF, the more interesting she becomes and that is truly more exciting than a confusing meta abilities, vengeance-filled cartoon villain heavy breather out to kill the flash. With Caitlin/KF there is this emotional side that rings more authentic than with Cicada. Just because Barry has a kid doesn’t make it the same. Amazing episodes like 5x06 “The Icicle Cometh” and 5x11 “Seeing Red” brought us what we needed for a long time. Team Flash/Flashfrost bonding and Caitlin’s much needed KF arc explored more. More Caitlin Snow being tied to the main narrative always means more Snowbarry scenes. 4. Candice had removed WA from her SM bio. This is pretty much the most telling of why I believe SB is bound to happen. Since Candice doesn’t own the name anyway, it made no sense to have it there all the way back in Season 2 when before they were even married. Someone from the high ups must have told her to remove it. It’s just another step away from Barry finding his way back to who he was before Viris ruined his life. The writers are making great choices snow. It was the best news we heard in a while and literally the only thing keeping CP on the show this long. What else does Viris have? Tumblr blogging? She is not a scientist. 5. The tone of the show is shifting and finally for the better. Do you notice slowly but surely our show is coming back to us? At a glacial pace, yes, slow af, the definition of slow burn, but that was always Snowbarry, that was their theme, they were never going to be rushed, something real is never rushed. We know, Grant said it himself, they were always planned while WA was done out of fear, obligation and pandering. The show runners thought they would score big with the viewers, SB shippers or regular, if they kept comics canon couples together, but it didn’t work out that way since WAs are far from the majority. Since we know a chemistry test was never done with Grant or Candice, they can stop pretending WA has chemistry. I believe the show runners are seeing that, but they are waiting for the right moment to end this farce. The show can presumably go on until Season 8. Season 6 can be the recovery season. Our favorite characters need their screen time back while mere love interests, polarizing and drama filled fan service characters need to be erased. Finally, they can do time travel right in this case.

How Do You Get rid of Mosquito Bites With Out Cream
Can mupirocin ointment usp 2 % be used on mosquito bites? It won't help. Mupirocin is an antibiotic. Musquito bites are higher treated with an antihistamine like diphenhydramine HCl or steroid cream like Hydrocortisone. Does eating garlic forestall mosquito bites? I take a garlic pill every single day and nonetheless get mosquito bites. Do you get away from an individual that has a mosquito chunk? How do you scale back swelling in mosquito bites? Why do not you are feeling mosquito bites once they happen? Most people do really feel the mosquito bites as they happen. If they do not, it may very well be as a result of the mosquito is small and the chunk wasn't onerous. How do you spell mascedo bites? When i get bitten by a mosquito the spot goes actually purple and normally stays red for a week. Even when i apply cream on it it stays red. Am I allergic to mosquito bites? What you see is regular and all of us are allergic to the bites. They inject a bit of venom as they bite and what you see is the response.
The Bullfrog tadpoles visited on a regular basis-- these pests. The middle one we named Clifford and the one with the eye patch is Captain Ron. Lake. If it wasn't for the black flies and mosquitoes, this would have been enjoyable -- not Pure Luck enjoyable, however enjoyable all the identical. It says to allow half-hour for the path but I'd suggest that it takes extra like 45 minutes to an hour with plenty of slapping in between. A 50 yr old logging chute. Second we hiked the Helenbar Lookout Trail (7 km) a incredible journey, like Inner Space, via some pristine wilderness. Along the trail there are a couple of stand out stops, the first being some 'erratic' boulders that had been dragged by glaciers to strange places, like half manner up an old mountain. Erratic Boulder: a boulder that differs from the encompassing rock. I've by no means seen two the same.
Hydrocortisone cream can deal with the itch, but to prevent the rashes step one is to use a bed bug proof mattress and pillow cover. All of your bedding needs to be within the dryer for No less than an hour, and you'll wash it, too. It is the drying that's most essential. You want a terrific mattress cowl to guard yourself. Don't be fooled, you want one that may stand the heat of the dryer. Mattress covers which might be subpar are made of delicate plastics that melt with an excessive amount of heat exposure. The most effective mattress covers are the Bed Bug Proof Sleep protection system. These are one of many few that may survive within the dryer. It's the drying that kills mattress bugs, so that you want a product like this that may final being dried for an hour with out altering the integrity or shape of the cowl. If you cannot wash or dry the mattress cowl, what good does it do you. 蚊膏 好用 You just should change it!
They change into hyperactive, and “vibrate themselves to death”. Mosquitoes which have developed resistance to classic repellants are nonetheless prone to nootkatone. With this new mode of insecticide action, analogues of nootkatone may ultimately be developed to supply a gaggle of latest insecticides with varied properties that broaden nootkatone’s efficient range, or modify their potency, in accordance with any drug growth pipeline. Unfortunately, despite grapefruit being readily available, nootkatone is only present in tiny concentrations in the fruit’s pores and skin. Hundreds of pounds of grapefruit are needed to extract one gram of nootkatone, which is about the scale of a sugar packet ! The importance of synthetically-derived nootkatone is evident. In 2016 Evolva signed a license settlement with the CDC, affording Evolva unique patent rights to develop nootkatone as an insect repellant. And the U.S. National Institutes of Health announced that it would be sponsoring Evolva to conduct studies that check nootkatone’s effectiveness towards mosquitoes carrying Zika virus and different pathogens. For millions of individuals worldwide, insects are a deadly threat. In lots of nations, entry to medical help and correct sanitation is often restricted for a big percentage of the inhabitants. In consequence, diseases like malaria can have catastrophic consequences. Maybe quickly we are going to see artificial nootkatone inside insecticidal mattress netting or in repellant soaps. Synthetic biology is now on the forefront of efforts to curb the devastation caused by insect-borne illness.
Hey, what are you doing? Once at the airport, there is not any stopping us. Security. - You and your insect pack your float? Yes. Has it been in your possession your entire time? Would you take away your sneakers? Remove your stinger. - It's part of me. I do know. Just having some enjoyable. Enjoy your flight. Then if we're fortunate, we'll have simply sufficient pollen to do the job. Oan you believe how lucky we're? We now have just enough pollen to do the job! I believe this is gonna work. It's got to work. Attention, passengers, this is Oaptain Scott. We've a little bit of dangerous weather in New York. It appears like we'll expertise a couple hours delay. Barry, these are cut flowers with no water. They'll by no means make it. I gotta rise up there and speak to them. Be careful. Oan I get assist with the Sky Mall journal?

5 Indoor Pests to Look Out For During Winter
With temperatures sliding and snowfall amounts rising, you might think winter is a quiet period for pests in southern Ontario. While many of us encounter pests such as wasps, mites and more during the summer, the onset of winter can also be a big problem for keeping pests under control.
In fact, humans are not the only animals that prefer to stay inside during colder temperatures, as many rodents and insects make their way into our homes and businesses.
In today’s post, GreenLeaf Pest Control will be looking at pests that home and business owners should be on the lookout for during Winter 2021. If you suspect any of these pests are on your property, contact us today and we will give you the professional pest control help you need.
1. Cockroaches
Cockroaches are found all over the world, including here in Canada and Ontario. With over 4000 different cockroach species across the globe, you might be worried about them invading your home or business.
The good news is that only a handful roaches are the pests in Ontario.
These are:
German Cockroach
Brown-Banded Cockroach
Oriental Cockroach
Pennsylvania Wood Cockroach
The reason why cockroaches are common winter pests in Ontario is due to our cold climate.
Although many varieties of cockroaches are very hardy and some are even capable of producing their own type of antifreeze, they still enjoy the warm indoors. With temperatures regularly dropping below freezing and a sudden lack of food, pest cockroaches will seek to invade your home for food and shelter. They typically enter through human transport, such as a bag or garbage bin, or they manage to enter around windows and doors.
The problem with cockroaches in winter is that they are highly social pests. This means that once you have identified one in your home or business, you are quite likely to find more very soon. Cockroaches are prolific breeders and can produce nearly 300 offspring in just one year, meaning pest control is a must even if you can only see just one inside your property. Ignoring them could result in them contaminating your food and spreading illness to others.

2. Fleas
While you might associate fleas with pets and spending more time outdoors in the summer, fleas can also invade your home during the winter.
Just like cockroaches, fleas dislike the cold winter temperatures as it slows down their reproduction rate and will typically kill most adult fleas. However, the problem isn’t necessarily the fleas outside, but rather the fleas that are already inside your property.
The drop in temperatures that occurs during late fall will send many adult fleas into your home where they will lay eggs and reproduce. As capable jumpers that can leap 150 times their own height, fleas can travel very easily and will often use pets and even other pests to enter your home.
Getting rid of fleas should be a priority for any homeowner, even though they prefer biting pets over humans. This is because flea bites can make your pet very sick and even cause them to have an allergic reaction.

3. Bed Bugs
Bed bugs are commonly known indoor pest that infests many apartment and condo buildings across southern Ontario, including in cities like Toronto.
Keep an eye out for these 6-legged creatures if you can. However, at less than ¼ inch long and generally nocturnal (active at night), adult bed bugs can be difficult to identify until you have been bitten. Fortunately, bed bug bites do not transmit disease, but they will leave with itchy, red and sore marks on your skin.
Bed bugs feed off human blood and will prefer to bite during the night, which is why they are called bed bugs. They do not always live in your bed and can be found in all sorts of hidden nooks in your home, including picture frames, wallpaper and in your car.

4. House Mice
Not all pests are bugs. In fact, some of the most harmful and common pests are rodents like house mice. Despite sounding local, house mice originate all the way from Central Asia – where they traveled over time to become widespread across Canada and the United States.
You may presume house mice are harmless and how similar they are to pet mice. However, house mice can be a nuisance and a health and safety hazard. This is because they enjoy eating human food, such as cereal, bread and other grain products and easily transfer germs in doing so.
Just like many bugs, house mice are fast breeders, especially considering they are mammals. A typical female house mouse will have over 6 babies every three weeks, leading up to 35 offspring per year. If you find house mice on your property, you must act quickly and contact a pest control company before their population is allowed to swell as well as do some major damage to your home and health.
Despite their large numbers and size, it can be difficult to catch house mice as they are nocturnal. You can detect whether they are in your property by looking for signs such as droppings, gnaw marks or the appearance of hidden burrows in your walls and floors. If there are many mice in your home, you may begin to smell their urine, which helps them to communicate with others.

5. Rats
As well as house mice, rats are another type of rodent that will invade your home or business during the cold winter months.
One type of rat, known as the Norway Rat, is a common pest that can easily infest many unprotected homes across Southern Ontario. Norway rats are much larger than a typical house mouse and usually reach about 8 inches in length, meaning they are easily visible if seen in daylight.
Norway rats are not picky when it comes to food too and will gladly eat many different types of food across your home. They are particularly fond of dog food. This can be an issue as many homeowners feed their dog in an open dish on the floor. Therefore, if there is ever any leftover food in this dish, a rat may feed on it during the night without the owner knowing.
Not only are rats a hygiene issue as they spread disease, but they are renowned for their gnawing abilities which can cause major structural damage to your property. If left alone, their population will increase and the risk of you, your family, or your customers catching a serious disease from them increases.

Keep Your Property Well Protected During Winter 2021
Despite spending more time indoors, the Ontario winter can bring many outdoor pests inside your home where they are likely to cause more damage. However, they can prevented and even removed.
