Starter for Aylin from Persephone.

Persephone was free to go between both realms all she wanted. Hades had taught her how to deal with her powers and so she took her destiny into her hands and broke the arrangement. She still does her duties as a goddess of spring but spends most of her time with her husband and children.

She was in her greenhouse in the underworld, plating new flowers in the planters around the large fountain. She was on her knees, her dark hair braided and her hands covered in dirt as she worked.

She felt someone coming in, thinking it was Hades, but she looked behind her and saw her goddaughter, Aylin.

it's nearly 1am and i want to talk about some OCs and a world setting/base idea that i've never done too much with but always think i want to.

WIP title was 'there's no such thing as a vampire', as an absolute direct reference to 'there's no such thing as a fish' and it hinged on that same principle. There are demonstrably vampires in the world, same as there are fish. But wtf does 'fish' mean, and wtf does 'vampire' mean?

There's no set definition, no singular concept or easily categorized thing.

so there were vampires like Dima and Emil who didn't need blood, they ate organs, and could be outside during the day but it sucked, who were weak to iron and could be contained by knots like putting tape on a crocodile's jaw. Turned by infection prior to death, then wake up again.

Then there was Niki who was turned after being killed in a specific way and burried intentionally fucked up to ensure she'd be stuck like that. Who was physically dead as fuck and looked it. Waxy and wrong. Who turned into this hulking monstrosity of a creature, and could only reliably be killed by decapitation, cause she made Emil throw a pitchfork through her chest for funsies one night. But her eyes will water and she'll start sneezing when around garlic, and sun brings her up in blisters

And Mallow and Steren. Siblings with deer legs like fauns. No sharp teeth, no fangs or bites. They cut. Strung up like fresh kill to drain. Except. They would argue with you if you called them vampires.

with a bunch more i just do not remember right now, cause Niki and Emil were the main blorbos for me. I miss my little dipshits.

Emil was this 'regency goth' overdramatic artist and garment maker who put on the most 'i want you to know im a vampire' extreme persona trying to be so aloof and in control when like... giggly little idiot.

Niki was a singer song writer, whose entire gimmick, with help from Emil, was all rhinestone, white leather, undead cowgirl. It allowed that suspension of disbelief that otherwise made it really easy to tell she wasn't alive. Lived to make life difficult for others, but was the best friend you'd make when drunk in a club bathroom. Only she'd never leave after that. You'd be stuck with her until she got bored.

Hello~ Eben habe ich wieder ein bisschen der good luck overview gestöbert und mir sind die alten Götter aufgefallen. I know, i know offiziell noch eine Baustelle aber dennoch richtig spannend! 🤩 Hast du bestimmte Kriterien nach denen du ihre fcs aussuchst?

... aber jetzt wo es geschehen ist, beantworte ich doch gerne fragen :3

außer bei einigen wenigen, habe ich eigentlich keine festen vorstellungen für die götter. chione habe ich immer mit roten haaren im kopf (da hatte ich zuerst ein brasilianisches fc, fand das mit dem schnee aber zu widersprüchlich und denke, vielleicht passt ein skandinavisches besser?) und apollo und artemis sind bei mir meist black oder mixed black). ansonsten habe ich favorits rausgesucht und dann nach gefühl zugeordnet bzw. muss ich die meisten noch zu ordnen ich bin am strugglen. persephone stell ich mir immer irgendwie äußerlich cute vor und für poseidon hätte ich gerne ein native fc mit langen haaren, ich hatte erst booboo stewart, aber ich denke ein fc von einem meernahen native stamm (evtl. aus australien) würde mehr sinn machen, aber da bin ich noch am suchen...

weiter habe ich die ganze zeit angst irgendetwas falsch zu machen und versuche drauf zu achten das man die auswahl nicht falsch interpretieren kann bzw. kein fc/keine ethnie negativ zu behaften?? :') (bei ares hab/hatte ich zum beispiel struggle einen POC character zu nehmen, weil ich keine ethnie so obvious mit krieg verbinden wollte uiudhodahs vielleicht mach ich mir da aber auch unnötig gedanken?)

*da ich erfahren habe, dass hephaistos im canon eine beinverletzung hat und oft im rollstuhl dargestellt wird, will ich da vielleicht nochmal wen anderes suchen, auch wenn ich mit misia butler da eigentlich sehr zufrieden bin, aber falls euch spontan fcs mit gehbehinderung einfallen, tell me please

hades certainly surprised her. his tenderness seemed endless despite the building frustration. he's prepared her a room with the utmost care. the bedding she sleeps on is unlike anything she's ever felt before. the view she has of the underworld is astonishing to mortals and gods alike. the thoughtfulness, care, and sudden imprisonment made her head spin with confusion, though most of that could be attributed to her longest-standing act of defiant retaliation. hades startled her with his sudden entrance, but the alarm in her eyes quickly shifted to a look of vexation as he aired his grievances. he forced her to rise with stern ease while doing nothing to harm her under his grip. the brush she was previously running through honey-colored curls drops out of her hand and hits the floor with a loud clatter that neither of them seemed too focused on at the moment. "i'm behaving like a child? that's bold of you, considering how i got here in the first place." she tugged her arm away from him to cross both of them over her chest, glaring daggers up at hades while ignoring the ironic petulance she displayed. it seemed to be an unspoken understanding that he could overpower her with ease if desired. the restraint, the gentleness was a choice. just like it was a choice to caress the golden curls framing a divine face with such care. persephone blinked up at him, azure gaze unwavering. "how am i supposed to put my faith in you?" tears sprang to her eyes. her tone softening, vulnerable, and defiant all at once. "why would you stay true to your word, when doing the opposite is much simpler?"

she was mesmerising. hades could not stop thinking about her, since the first time that he had laid eyes on her. and yes, whilst stealing her away from the world she knew and her mother was not the ideal way to court her, he could not help himself. she belonged with him. in due time, she would come to love him, and the underworld. but, he was running out of patience. he stormed into her room that night, placing the tray of untouched food on her bed. “ this is getting ridiculous, persephone. you're behaving like a child. ” he walked around the bed to grab her by her arm and force her onto her feet. she was so small, so delicate. like the most precious of flowers. he could not bear to be mean or cruel to her. to hit her. so instead, he brushed his fingers through her golden hair, sighing. “ please, eat. i cannot bear the thought of you withering away like this. if you eat, i will allow you to visit your mother. but you must eat. and eat all of it. ”
