im extremely literal and i don't want to take anything away from the people who find it helpful, but. "do it scared" to me always has the same vibes as that shia labeouf "JUST DO IT" meme.

which is to say, im always like, IT ? DEPENDS ON WHAT "IT" IS??

#sometimes we are scared of doing things because they are bad ideas to do :sob:#i mean obviously things like idk 'commit perjury' 'i'm scared i'll get caught' 'do it scared' lol. but yknow uhhhh #what's that one bit in series of unfortunate events with the submarine dude #where the baudelaire children see the guy's motto and have to consciously inject nuance into it #ok found it. the motto is 'he or she who hesitates is lost'#the quote is:#Perhaps; the Baudelaires thought; the wisest personal philosophy would be #'Sometimes he or she should hesitate and sometimes he or she should not hesitate'#but this seemed far too long and vague to be much use on a plaque.
