Sorry your legs are spikes and your wings are in ribbons :(
#487#Giratina distortion form#pokemon from memory#I actually think it’s a banger design choice tho#Like it’s body gets warped into something unrecognizable as it dwells in the distortion world#Is that part of the punishment?#Also I wish in legends they went a little further back in time#Perhaps to the original arceus/giratina conflict#Bc by the time of the game THAT was already a legend!#Instead giratina is just volo’s bitch#It’s interesting so much of the stuff in pokemon is “of the past”#And already a great piece of history by the time you’re playing#Would be cool if one game you’re at the forefront of that history#There WHEN the actual legend is being written

Me: Sees Pokemon Legends Arceus has Boss Pokemon that will attack humans, are filled with rage and have red eyes to denote a paticular change....
Me: Knowing if BDSP doesnt incorporate platinum stuff but Legends is connected to home, then theres a huge possibility that Giratina will be caught in Legends alongside Arceus, perhaps as some sort of final boss, or maybe even the game will be about the ancient conflict between arceus and giratina, when giratina was still a red eyed rage filled shadow-y demonic pokemo-
Is... Is the red eye boss pokemon how normal people see shadow pokemon?? If they cant see auras like in Colloseum and XD??
Are they like that because of some twisted influence from Giratina?? IS ANGY GIRATINA POSSIBLY THE REAL ORIGIN OF NATURAL SHADOW POKEMON??
OF ALL THE GAMES TO MAYBE PERCHANCE BYHAPS HAVE A SHADOW POKEMON PLOTLINE AS PART OF IT IT WOULD BE A GAME IN THE REGION/GEN TO INTRODUCE THR AURA POKEMON LUCARIO??
This is some high level wishful thinking, but Pokemon Go started it by giving shadow pokemon physically red eyes alongside the shadowy aura
*EDIT* AND I MEAN, ISNT CYRUS'S WHOLE PERSONALITY AND THING THAT HE WAS AN ANGRY EMOTIONLESS VOID, HIS HEART CLOSED OFF TO OTHERS KINDA LIKE A SHADOW POKEMON.
SO MANY THINGS IN GEN 4 WOULD WORK SO WELL WITH A SHADOW POKEMON PLOT ITS NOT EVEN FUNNY
#Pokemon#Pokemon Legends Arceus#Legends Arceus#blease be a shadow pokemon storyline that will fill my soul#it would be all i ever wanted#it could even coincide with a pokemon go and home update that would allow for the storage and transfer of shadow pokemon#from go to legends#that would be super neat!

10 Mythical Pokémon With The Best Lore | ScreenRant
Without a doubt, Mythicals are the rarest Pokémon in the franchise. There’s usually only one of each, unlike Legendaries, who can even have regional forms. Mythicals are so elusive that most people question their very existence. They are near-myths, mirages within the Pokémon world that only a few are lucky enough to see.
RELATED: Every Pokémon Legendary Trio, Ranked
Mythicals are the most mysterious of Pokémon, and they have the lore to support that intriguing-yet-unknown vibe. Indeed, some of these puzzling beings have backstories so fascinating that they immediately stand out among the sea of Pokémon, cementing their place as the ultimate riddles in the franchise.
10 Meloetta
Meloetta is perhaps the most forgettable of all the Mythicals. Introduced in Generation V, this dual Normal/Psychic has a cute but unmemorable design, which might explain its lack of popularity. Like all other Mythicals, Meloetta didn’t play a prominent role in the Gen V games and instead debuted in the anime.
It’s a shame, because its lore is not only compelling, but also somewhat tragic. Meloetta represents music, making it a literal muse within the Pokémon world. Its song and dance brought joy to the hearts of others, but it lost them when sorrow took over the world. Meloetta’s tragedy only increases its appeal, turning it into yet another victim of human intervention. It seems to have a crush on Ash in the anime, something that’s both sweet and slightly strange.
9 Diancie
Like Meloetta, Diancie also has a reputation for being a forgettable addition to the Mythicals. Diancie debuted in Generation VI, and its origin remains surrounded by mystery. According to legend, Diancie was originally a Carbink that somehow mutated. The games don’t provide a lot of explanation, but in theory, any Carbink can mutate into Diancie (although researchers still don’t know what triggers this transformation).
If this intriguing angle wasn’t enough, Diancie also serves as the ruler of the Diamond Domain, an underground location in Kalos where many Carbink live. The Domain draws its energy and tranquility from the Heart Diamond, a large pink structure created by Diancie. It’s clear that this Pokémon’s backstory is vast and complex, and many fans would love to keep exploring it.
8 Hoopa
Hoopa has everything to be one of the best Mythicals in the franchise. Drawing inspiration from imps and djinns, Hoopa has two forms, Confined and Unbound. In the former, it is a mischievous but harmless dual Psychic/Ghost-type who enjoys playing pranks. In the latter, it becomes a rampaging Psychic/Dark being capable of bending reality. In any form, Hoopa can travel across dimensions using the rings on its body.
Hoopa combines thought-provoking concepts with classic mythological elements, resulting in a whimsical addition to the canon. Unfortunately, it gets brought down by how annoying it is. Indeed, many fans found Hoopa to be obnoxious, preventing Hoopa and the Clash of Ages from becoming one of the best Pokémon movies.
7 Genesect
The Pokémon world also had a prehistoric era, ruled by massive and terrifying beasts. Genesect’s original form was one of the most powerful dual-type Bug Pokémon, ruling over the earth 300 million years before the events of the main series games. Considered the apex predator of its time, Genesect and all other prehistoric Pokémon became extinct after an unspecified catastrophe.

In modern times, Team Plasma revived it from a fossil and experimented on it, enhancing it via powerful technology. The result is a cyborg Pokémon that stands as one of the strongest creatures in the fictional universe. Genesect’s allure relies on its past as the alpha in a time of titans. The series should reveal more about this archaic period in Pokémon history.
6 Magearna
Canonically speaking, Magearna is the first human-made Pokémon ever. Created 500 years before the events of X & Y, Magearna’s metallic form hides tricky machinery that even modern researchers can’t quite understand. However, the real mystery is the so-called “Soul-Heart,” a magical core within Magearna that is its actual body.
What exactly this “Soul-Heart” is continues to be one of the biggest unanswered questions in the franchise. Fans know that the scientist who created Magearna meant it as a gift for the Princess of an ancient Kingdom. To create the Soul-Heart, he gathered “life-energy” from other Pokémon, making Magearna a Frankenstein-like creature. Despite its somewhat disturbing origin, Magearna is the ultimate healer and can sense others’ pain.
5 Deoxys
Deoxys is one of the few Pokémon that is confirmed to come from outer space. According to Hoenn legends, Deoxys was an astronomical virus that mutated when exposed to a laser beam. Deoxys is brilliant, capable of altering its form and creating multiple clones of itself.
Like the best Pokémon lore, Deoxys’ backstory is overflowing with possibilities. Fans know only the basics of its story but are dying to discover more about its birth and place of origin. For example, is it the only virus of its kind? If not, are there other infections that could also come to Earth? It became a Pokémon when it arrived, but what was its original purpose? Could it perhaps be a bioweapon? The possibilities are endless, and it’s high time that this underappreciated Pokémon gets its time in the spotlight.
4 Darkrai
At first sight, Darkrai might seem like the Pokémon version of the boogeyman. Indeed, this Dark-type being feeds on bad dreams and is also known to provoke them. Darkrai is fiercely protective of its territory and will chase away any invader by putting them on a never-ending nightmare.
Darkrai seems to take inspiration from the new moon, the darkest of lunar phases. It is also capable of human speech and possesses a considerable degree of intelligence. Unlike other Mythicals, Darkrai’s origin and purpose remain vague. Is it maybe a nightmare that somehow became sentient? Was it born out of dark energy on a moonless night? Fans don’t know, and that’s what keeps them coming back to Darkrai.
3 Celebi
Celebi is the Guardian of the Forest. It travels through time, protecting the forest from threats, human and Pokémon alike. It also works as a keeper of time and can sense temporal anomalies. Celebi also has a degree of omnipresence, and Johto legends state that it exists simultaneously throughout time.
RELATED: 10 Ideas For Future Games In The Pokémon Legends Series
Unlike other Mythical Pokémon, there is evidence that multiple Celebi exists. However, it can be the one Celebi existing everywhere at the same time. This paradox arguably makes it the most intriguing of all Mythical Pokémon, a puzzle that players may never be able to solve unless the franchise finally announces a Pokémon Legends: Celebi game.
2 Mew
The first Mythical introduced, Mew, is also the first Pokémon to exist on Earth. Well, allegedly. Mew’s origin is uncertain, but legends say that it contains the genetic codes of all Pokémon in its DNA. That would mean Mew predates the Super-Ancient Pokémon, making it a contemporary of the Creation Trio.
Mew is the embodiment of adaptability. Because of its absurdly long life span, it has seen empires rise and fall, witnessing countless conflicts. It has traveled around every region in the Pokémon world, meeting multiple Pokémon but only a handful of humans. Unlike some of its fellow Mythicals who went on a long slumber or retired to their own domains, Mew stayed around, experiencing new things. Its life is the stuff of endless dreams, but also nightmares, considering its solitary existence. And still, it managed to retain its innate innocence and selflessness. Mew is the ultimate Pokémon role model.
1 Arceus
Arceus is the God of Pokémon, literally. It was the original being, born before the universe even existed. According to Sinnoh legend, Arceus hatched from an egg that came out of chaos itself. It then shaped the universe with its 1000 arms, creating Palkia, Dialga, and Giratina to balance time, space, and antimatter.
It’s impossible to downplay Arceus’ importance for the Pokémon world. Without a doubt, it is the single most vital Mythical in existence, and its folklore only enhances its already fascinating nature. Even so, there’s still much about Arceus that remains unexplained; its current lore is just the surface of its complex mythology. However, that might change soon because Pokémon Legends: Arceus promises to solve some of the mysteries about this fascinating being.

Does your home region have any legendary Pokemon?
What, Caldia? Well, I mean... yeah there are some legends but...
See, the thing is those legends are so old that any names for the Pokemon have long since been lost. Like, if you thought the story of Az in Kalos, the depictions of Kyogre and Groudon in Hoenn, or the ruins of Alph were old, then these legends are practically prehistoric by comparison. Only the tales of Palkia, Dialga, Giratina, and Arceus are older than ours if I remember correctly, but those Pokemon had such an impact in the creation of the world that it would have been more shocking if records of them didn’t remain intact for the most part. However, the legends of the Pokemon in Caldia are unclear about a lot of details regarding them. All I can really provide you is some vague details, because that’s just all that was known about them back when I left.
There’s supposedly a Fairy dual-type Pokemon that’s either part Dark or part Ghost. According to the old tales, it’s said to observe Caldia from a realm outside space and time, though the stories conflict as to if it’s a benevolent protector watching over the region or a malevolent beast locked in a prison where it can do nothing but look on in anger. Now that I think about it, the way this realm of its was described in some of the stories sounds very similar to where the Ultra Beasts are supposed to come from, at least from what I’ve gathered from my meeting with Guzma and some of the researchers in Alola. Before I came out to Alola, I’d always assumed it was more like Giratina’s Distortion World; it always lined up with the scenarios where the Pokemon was reportedly a prisoner locked away for the safety of everyone else.
There’s also a gigantic Dragon/Poison type that’s said to slumber deep beneath the heart of Caldia, somewhere below where the ancient precursor to the Caldian League was located. I think that was why the original League was there, something about the battles honoring it or meant to appease it so it’d remain sleeping? I dunno, there are conflicting stories for it as well. Researchers believe that it’s even larger than Wailord due to the depictions of it in some of the old carvings and stone paintings that have survived, somewhere between 50 ft (15.24 m) and 57′5″ (~17.50 m) in height. I should also mention that a lot of the older legends added on a Steel type to the Pokemon, so it’s really unknown as to if the true typing is Dragon/Poison, Steel/Dragon, Steel/Poison, or (impossibly I might add) a Steel/Dragon/Poison triple-type. However, the ancient pictures and carvings of it give the Pokemon a dragon-like shape, so it’s commonly accepted that it’s supposed to be Dragon/Poison, and that the Steel type records are just mistranslations made by the archaeologists. If that’s actually the case, then you can’t blame them for what’s actually an honest mistake, because the ancient symbols for “Dragon” and “Steel” are similar enough that the proper amount of damage to “Dragon” (through either a slip of a chisel when it was made, erosion over thousands of years, or even damage made when being uncovered by modern researchers) can cause the symbol to look identical to “Steel”.
Perhaps due to these inconsistencies with the records, there’s been two recent (well, “recent” if you compare it to how old the actual legends are) theories that are still being discussed amongst researchers and conspiracy nuts regarding said inconsistencies. The first is in regards to the discrepancies with the two Pokemon’s types. The theory here is that the Pokemon have an ability similar to Arceus’s Multitype ability which allows them to change their types (to an extent) to fit their needs, albeit without the Plates that Arceus requires. It sounds far-fetched to me, but it makes a little more sense in my opinion than the second theory. The second theory is meant to explain both the type discrepancies and the reason behind the conflicting stories on each of the Pokemon. According to this theory, all the stories are correct and we have, not two, but five (possibly even SIX if you want to humor the impossibility of a Pokemon with three types existing) legendary Pokemon. I don’t buy into this one because if this was the case then why are both the Fairy dual-types in a separate realm observing Caldia, and how could there be three (let alone four) massive Pokemon sleeping in the exact same place beneath Caldia? I still doubt that there’s even one there.
Apart from all the legends, there’s just absolutely no proof that either Pokemon exists, so I’m pretty skeptical about it all.
Legends aside, there’s also a few guardian or protector Pokemon scattered around the region, but all I know about them is that they’re supposedly tied to these ancient symbols or signs, kind of like the guardians out in Oblivia I think. Ceri might know more about them than I do since she was in Oblivia for a lot longer than I was doing her Ranger duties. I was a little interested in the guardian signs, but I never made time to actually ask around about them while I was there.
That’s pretty much all I know about any of the legends back home.
