Only $10million for a property in a nice area of town that isn’t over saturated with other luxury buildings and has potential for growth?

If it’s undeveloped land, then I might believe it. But if there is already a luxury building that physically exists on the land? No way

Either way, when it comes to buying property like that, $10M is nothing. Taki was right when he said it was a steal, but did the writers know that $10M is dirt cheap for what they described?

I’ve noticed this in the prologue and in the first two chapters of Taki’s story (I’ve only just started reading this title), but the writers need to do more research on…. a lot of things.

If Taki is a real estate tycoon, at least make it believable. If this guy is a billionaire, and they want to show the reader in the early chapters that this guy isn’t afraid to drop some hard cash, make him buy a luxury property worth $175 million instead of $10 million (which was originally set at $5 million, Taki just doubled it).

I mean, Kylie Jenner listed her Beverly Hills mansion for $21.9M back in October (2022). That’s just a mansion. Heck, even penthouses in New York go for millions. I remember in 2014 that Paris Hilton got a 2-bedroom penthouse for a “steal” at $4.9M in New York, I think the original asking price was $6M- $7M

Some of the situations and scenarios are a little ridiculous and make 0 sense so far, but I really want to like this story, so I hope it gets better soon!

以下、グダグダな解説。長文注意。

Calling You / ジェヴェッタ・スティール (1988) なんか気になって "Bağdad Cafe" を観てめっちゃいいやんってなってヘビロテした。不思議な映画だけど、なんか良かった。なんか。

Can You Feel It / ザ・ジャクソンズ (1976) 私のプレイリストの特徴として「なんで今これにハマったの？」という曲が頻出する。選考基準はその1年のうちにビビッときたかどうかだけ。 これはイントロがひたすらバカっぽくて好き。この場合のバカは褒め言葉。

Running Man / The Fearless Flyers (2022) なぜかこのアルバムを聴きそびれていて、遅ればせながらチェックした。 ドラムパターン大喜利。個人的にはIPPON。

Failing in a Cool Way / ルイス・コール (2022) 大学時代に所属していた軽音サークルのOBライブでカバーして好きになった。激ヤバなライブバージョンのほうを元ネタにカバーしたんだけど、この音源版も良い。 なお私はパーカッションで茶々を入れるだけだった。非常に気楽。

リターン・オブ・カンフー・ワールド・チャンピオン / 上原ひろみ (2006) 新曲（Sonicwonderland）を聴いて立ち返ったパターン。 最近の曲も好きだけど、昔のほうがリフが攻撃的だったりソロが筋肉質だったりする気がする。違ったらすみません。

Megalovania / トビー・フォックス (2015) shu3さんのゲーム実況を見て繰り返し聴いているうちに耳にこびりついてしまった。狂気の縛りプレイ企画にもぴったりなサウンドで改めて良いなあと。 Undertale自体はやったことがなく、RTAでざっく��知っている程度。確実に面白いのは知っているのにやってみようとならないあたり、性格が出ている。

RAP'N'TECHNOTCHI / LAUSBUB×Bose (2023) リリース当時はPVみたいなのがアップされていた気がする。消えちゃった？勘違いかな。 LAUSBUBは友人が教えてくれて、今もサブスクを聴き漁っている。クールな子たちだわあ、本当に。

Jubilance / WshblDucks (2023) 直近で少しずつ聴くようになったジャンルなのでどうやって形容していいか分からない。まずジャンルが何なのかも分からないけど、カッコいい。 変態。応援してます。

B-Side / Khruangbin & Leon Bridges (2021) 2022年にKhruangbinの豊洲PITでのライブを見て改めて好きになって、ちょっとずつ遡りながら聴いていたときにぶつかった曲。1年かかって1年分遡っている。遅いんだって。 ライブは前職で一緒だったおじさん3人と一緒に観に行った。年齢は15歳くらい上なんだけど友達みたいな関係。変な人たち。

Balloon (Sunset Rollercoaster Remake) / ADOY & 落日飛車 (2023) 好きなやつと好きなやつの組み合わせ。カツカレー。ハンバーグドリア。そんなクドい曲じゃないけど。 今回まとめるまでMVあるの知らなかった。めっちゃ可愛い。

素っ頓狂 (feat. BIM) / YeYe (2022) これもOBライブでカバーした。私はBIMパート。なんで？ 改めてMVの説明文を見てタイトルロゴが推しデザイナー（？）の脇田さんだと知ってさらに好きになった。

栞 / クリープハイプ (2018) 突然YouTubeのおすすめに現れてハマった。学生時代はほとんど聴いていなかった。いわゆる「通ってこなかった」バンド。 セブンルールに出ている野球好きの人という程度の認識だったけど、天才なんだね。これはお恥ずかしい。

MajiでKoiする5秒前 / 銀杏BOYZ (2021) リリース当時も聴いていたけど某騒動があって改めて聴き直したというイレギュラー選曲。私は料理をほとんどしないのだけど、肉の焼き方だけ我流を持っていて、たまたま彼と同じ焼き方にたどり着いていました。 聴けば聴くほど歌詞の意味が分からないのは私だけでしょうか。

情熱の薔薇 / 春日俊彰(オードリー) (2022) 春日さんの歌声を「心根の美しさが滲み出た、真っ直ぐで綺麗な青年」「意思がない空っぽの入れ物、もはやボーカロイド」のどちらで受け取ればいいのか分からない。

I see… / 乃木坂46 (2020) シンプルにアイドルソングとして強すぎ。やたらとイカしたベースライン。超絶可愛いサビの振り付けと、意味不明なストリングスのメロディ。 MVのラストシーン、乃木中で語られていたストイックエピソードを思い出して、アイドルって大変なんだなあと。

ゆっくりと咲く花 / 乃木坂46 (2021) 推しの卒業ライブでも歌っていてなかなか感動的だった。ただ、訳あって妻の友達の家という特殊なシチュエーションで配信を観ていたため泣くわけにもいかなかった。ある意味で貴重な体験。 今後アイドルを推すということはないだろうと思う。何だったんだろうな、この時期。

窓の中から / BUMP OF CHICKEN (2023) NHK「18祭」の曲。自分も18歳のときにこの曲に出会いたかったな。逆に30歳になって聴いたからこそ良かったような気もする。 実際にライブでも聴けて甚く感動した。さいたまスーパーアリーナのスーパー遠い席だった。スーパーちっちゃく見えるフジくんがスーパー兄貴MCをかましていた。「風邪引くなよ」って言われた。フジくん、私もう30歳だよ。

新世界 / BUMP OF CHICKEN (2019) これもそのライブで演奏していた。音源で聴くよりパワフルで、会場を���き込んでウネっていた。たまにあるよね、この曲ライブだとこんな盛り上がるのかよって曲。 我々世代からすると「あの頃のバンド」と思っている人も多いかもしれないけど、これだけのキラーチューンをバンバン作ってるって、マジでヤバいよな。大天才じゃん。

メモリアフロア / 藤井隆 (2022) 過去のベストにはナンダカンダを入れたこともある。ライブが素晴らしいアーティストという認識。

しかたなく踊る (Live Session) / 星野源 (2023) LIGHTHOUSE、観たよアピール。

A.Y.A / Yogee New Waves (2023) 大好きなバンド。帰ってくるのをひたすらに待つ。

窓 / ゲシュタルト乙女 (2023) 2022年のBestにも別の曲を入れていて、アルバムはカセットテープで購入。これこそ18歳の時に出会っていたらヤバいハマり方したんじゃないかな。声が本当に好き。 大切にしたい作品のカセットテープを見つけると買ってしまう病気にかかってしまった。レコードに手を出していないだけ許してほしい。誰に？

タオルケットは穏やかな / カネコアヤノ (2023) ハチロクのリズムが一番似合うシンガーソングライターだと思う。Bメロからサビの展開と歌詞が大天才。 あんまり聴きすぎると帰ってこれなくなりそうなので気をつけている。

16:28 / 君島大空 (2023) ウワモノとリズムの縦がちょっと揺れたような噛み合い方で、ゆらゆらと永遠に聴いていられる。Cメロみたいなところでそれがガチっとハマって大きく揺さぶられる。歌メロの締め方もオシャレ。 いや〜〜〜良すぎる〜〜〜。（最後の最後で語彙が消滅）

34曲はちょっと多いわ、今度はベスト10くらいにしような。 もし最後まで読んだ奇特な方がいたら、今更ながら2023年を語り合おうじゃあないか。

ちなみにこの年間ベストの記録は2013年から続けている。もうすぐ干支が一周するね。

I wasn't suggesting that they live under the same roof. Notably at the time of Red Robin/the leadup to it, Tim was living in the stables which Bruce had converted into an apartment for him. And Dick and Damian lived at the Penthouse to be in the heart of Gotham city, notably a good distance away from where Tim was living. Tim would have been safe from most anything on Manor grounds. The options weren't Tim has to leave where he's currently living or live with Damian. Dick didn't kick Tim out of his own home by making him choose to leave or live with the kid, he set up shop with Damian in a new location, a place that none of them had ever lived before.

If you're going to bring up the line cutting incident as a reason they can't work together, it's worth mentioning that Damian's reaction made sense because that whole incident is misunderstood by the fandom. Even outside the whole "raised as an assassin" thing, Tim's had his fair share of ugly moments directed towards Damian (aka: attacking him in the Ressurection of Ra's Al Ghul when Damian came asking for help, and punching Damian in the face in Red Robin #1, and he's flat out racist about Damian in the line cutting comic with "look at his history-- his biology even"). So yeah. Damian has 0 reasons to trust Tim. I don't like the implications that it's solely Damians fault that they didn't get along.

I mentioned specifically Gates of Gotham as a comic where they do get along, which happens after all this stuff. And they do ACTUALLY get along in that, because Damian feels insecure in his place in the family when Cass enters it, and Tim is less of an ass then he could be for like 5 minutes and they managae to successfully work together. To me their interactions in the comic felt like a foundation they could have worked on to get along, and no one needed to live together to do that. And then the new52 threw all the progress in the trash and made them awful to each other again

Edit: i lied a bit, i forgot Tim moved into the Manor at somepoint because in RR 2 Alfred's delivering stuff into his room at the Manor. But point still stands, he had an easily accessible separate place to go in the short term while Dick and Damian moved out shdhdh they didn't kick him out of his own house or expect him to live with them

Things every Dick vs Tim Red Robin fallout gets wrong no matter who's side they take

1. They still loved each other

2. Dick went after Tim after Tim stormed out of the cave. He didn't just leave it at that

3. They didn't have 0 contact, Dick called Tim back to Gotham for Blackest Night. They weren't talking because Tim didn't want to talk

4. Alfred gave Damian the Robin costume initially without Dick's knowledge, and his first mission as Robin was saving Tim's life after he got beat up by Jason (again). He apparently left this mess for Dick to clean up, and I don't think anyone ever told Tim that's how Damian ended up with the mantle

5. Dick helped in the process of bringing Bruce back to the current time, Tim presented his evidence when he got home, and Dick checked it out and solved the time puzzle in Bruce's ancestral home. Tim didn't magically pop back with Bruce after doing everything by himself, it was a coordinated effort that involved the Justice League

6. Tim and Damian started to get along. Not during Red Robin, but during Batman: Gates of Gotham

7. They were both grieving, Dick just masked it better

8. Tim didn't feel like he could ask for help because he knew sounded insane (and was feeling/acting insane). He was doing one of those 'i push away everyone i love because i hate myself' things, which he also did to Steph (who he fired as Spoiler under god knows who's authority) and Cassie. Dick wasn't special in this treatment, and he can't force Tim to stay, so he trusted Tim's judgement and let him leave. It is a "Tim's a sad boy" comic, but he's also very much a part of causing his own problems

9. They still loved each other. They never stopped loving each other. They never hated one another. Both in this era asked the other "Do you trust me?" And the other replied "Yes" and did the thing they asked. *shakes everyone who's ever written about this* that's the whole point, it's about miscommunication, and being in a bad place, but having what you need where you started waiting for you the whole time
