So with Doctor Who and Whouffaldi in between seasons, I've been watching Agent Carter (which is amazing and everyone should be watching it). While watching the Iron Ceiling, I realized that I am now ridiculously in love with the ship Cartson (Peggy Carter and Jack Thompson). I completely recognize the problematic nature of the ship but what can I say? I'm a sucker for a strong, powerful woman bringing out the best in the worst. 

I feel like this song sums up their relationship as of now :)

Don't mind me, just having a Cartson moment

So lately I've been doing an Agent Carter rewatch with my JackxPeggy/Cartson shipper goggles, and there are SO many things that I didn't really pick up on the first time around.

For example, in 1x02, THOMPSON is the one who bets that Carter would know who Joe DiMaggio is, which if you think about it, given that she's a woman (and thus presumptively not into sports) and English (thus even less likely to be following baseball) says something about his opinion of her general level of knowledge.

The kicker is, we ALL know he was right; he just didn't know she'd play dumb in order to avoid calling attention to herself in connection with the mysterious blonde in the photos.

(This totally lines up with his comment in 1x05 about needing brawns, not brains. He knows she's the smartest person in the room; he's just still caught up in his about-to-corrected misapprehension that women don't make good agents/soldiers.)
