Ancient Elk Antler, Alces alces, Perth Museum, Scotland

One of the largest species of deer, Elk died out in Britain by Roman times due to hunting and climate change. They survive today in the conifer forests of Northern Europe and North America.

This antler was excavated near Methven in 1801.

As you stand on the vast moorland, near where the hills end and the bog starts, your mind rushes with anticipation. Today, you are going to RAISE THE DEAD!!!

… More specifically, you’re going to try necromancy on some dead frogs. You’ve been practicing for months, and now that you’re 12 years old, you feel like you should at least be able to make small animal skeletons move. 

First, you’ll need to find some bones. 

All you need to do is search the large, carnivorous pitcher plants and sundews that grow in the area. There are a lot of plants, so it would be easier if you had someone to help you search. This is where your pet golem, Pete, will come in handy. You like to mold him into a different shape every time you remake him.

I really wonder what would of happened if Mahasamut and tongrak weren’t in front of his dad when he ripped the contract up would he had believed tongrak really wanted to end things? Would he had left? After that scene I just kept thinking about that because really if

he believed he was serious and not cause his dad was making him mahasamut would of truly gave up because from the start he’s never wanted to push tongrak he wants him to love him yes but he wants him to love him on his own time and tell him he loves him so I really wonder how it would of went if it went a different way?? Rewetting about half of England’s lowland peat would be enough to deliver a fifth of the greenhouse gas emissions savings needed from the country’s farming by 2030, research suggests. Rewetting peat would also help restore habitats for birds, wildlife and plant species.

Scots Pine Stump, 4600 Years Old, National Museums Scotland, Edinburgh

In many parts of Scotland the stumps of trees can be found preserved in peat. This Scots Pine stump is probably about 4600 years old and was found in the Ben Lui National Nature Reserve near Tyndrum, Central Highlands. It is a reminder that much of Scotland was once covered by trees.

Reskinning creachers for my dnd character Cyphe to summon. She’s a necromancer for plants Paleobotanist! I’ve redone her spells with some botany flavor except the conjure/summon ones.

My methods: buy manual on trees and shrubs w 10,000 species. Read through all the A’s. Pick some cool ones, turn ecology into character notes. I need to mod these a bit with my dm.

Ahhh today I learned so much from an older activist at a peatland habitat and then had a lovely social meeting a cohousing community and learning about all their efforts! I love community I love my studies I love dedicating my life to this stuff
