Dinosaur Love, Episode 6
In which we finally have guest star Peak Peemapol do his turn. I've wondered from the start of the series why, for his face in the credits, the producers (I'll blame them for it) chose the one moment in the scene when he looked his worse ...
Tumblr media
... when there were an infinite number of moments when he glowed ...
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
...?
Why would they do that ? Did he displease someone ? Does someone have it in for him ?
Most unkind, if you ask me ...

A LOOK BACK at Tee & Fuse
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
MAKE IT RIGHT (2016, THAILAND)
Though they started with a dubious beginning Tee (KRITTAPAK UDOMPANICH aka BOOM) and Fuse (PEEMAPOL PANICHTAMRONG aka PEAK) fell hopelessly in love with one another.
Heartbroken by his girlfriend's infidelity Fuse got drunk with friends. He happened upon an old friend Tee. Tasked with getting his drunk friend home.
Unwilling or unable to give Tee his address, Fuse ended up in Tee's bed. Long story short they had sex. Sex that a drunken Fuse incited but being impaired by alcohol made it dubious consent. As Fuse woke up deflowered with no recollection of the previous night's event.
Tee elated at first fell into a shame spiral of guilt and regret. However later the two realized they had feelings for one another.
However Fuse and his girlfriend Jean never broke up when Tee and Fuse began a consensual relationship in the shadows.
And then there was Rodtang...

Fuse's junior student Rodtang (BOONYAKORN RATANAUMNUAYSHAI aka BEAM) also had a major crush on Fuse.

Hook. 6
Story: 7
Acting: 8
Chemistry: 8
Comparable to: ?
This was just an okay sorta series for me. Kinda meh like. It took me awhile to be fully invested, around ten episodes the story started to unravel a bit more but honestly each episode it’s more or less like, ‘should I really continue this’. Yes there are some good and cute moments in this and it is watchable non the less. I guess maybe I was expecting more and was totally let down 🤷‍♀️ it’s definitely not a favorite but maybe others might enjoy so try a few episodes first to test the waters. 😝

A LOOK BACK at TEE & FUSE
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
MAKE IT RIGHT: THE SERIES (2016, THAILAND)
With their start being that of a sexual assault and subsequent guilt and a whirl of emotions.
Fuse (PEEMAPOL PANICHTAMRONG aka PEAK) was a heartbroken young man as he learned Jean his sweet girlfriend wasn't so sweet. That she was cheating on him. He went out and drowned his sorrows in alcohol with friends.
Completely drunk he was taken home by Tee (KRITTAPAK UDOMPANICH aka BOOM) but Fuse was unable to tell Tee his address so Tee brought him home.
A drunken question about has Tee ever had sex with boy (he hadn't) and if he wanted to try (he did)
Fuse awoke the next morning clearly dazed, confused and deflowered.
Tee felt guilty. Really Guilty. Because Fuse couldn't consent to the encounter as he was impaired. And Tee quickly caught feelings for his friend.
However though the start was not great these two young men fell madly in love. Even though Fuse had split emotions as he did not drop his girlfriend but he began a "relationship" with Tee.

On to new things. Rewatching “Making it Right,” 2016, LINE TV, three directors and a writer-director. Peak, Boom, Ohm (at 16), Toey, Beam, Bonne, Aof Sutiwas, Proy, Praew, Bright Wichawet, Plan, Guy, Nice, Oat, Tonson, Mean, Mix …
YouTube video not great resolution; early episodes shaky but heartfelt. I liked it because it has some favorite actors …
Ohm “Pat” Pawat, not so long ago, but a world apart ? Already making faces; bouncy and smiley … and straight faced too.

Episode 12 of Physical Therapy reached and swallowed, if not digested yet, and my comments as posted on YouTube (never one to waste words, not I !):
According to one online source the director/screenwriter is Andy Rachyd Kusolkulsiri, and (above him in those credits) is actor Peak Peemapol Panichtamrong (Fuse in the "Make It Right" series) as director.  I'm not able to verify that surprising news, as the credits in the series episodes are not Romanized.  Peak does not appear in any of the (very brief) Behind the Scenes segments, as far as I could see.  Andy is there; he is also director/screenwriter in the 2016 Make It Right series.
The flaws in this fascinating piece of work will be obvious to anyone watching it. Still it has its own charm.  The acting, which I was ready to blame for the slow pacing and lackluster quality of the early episodes, turns out to be (with few exceptions) one of the stronger elements of the piece.  As with so much else in bl, I eagerly await the "inside story" of the making of this series.
Now, the most serious problems with Physical Therapy might all be called issues of continuity—at various scales. That is, the skipped shot or muted  dialogue that interrupts a scene, at one end of the scale, and the missing explanations for portions of  episodes or for characters, at the other. Were pages of the script, or hard drives with footage, mysteriously missing following the shoot or in post-production ?
On the other hand, every series has at least a couple of elements unique in the genre. Have we seen before a gay couple raising a child ? An instance of ghostwriting ? A boyfriend caught ‘in flagrante’ in the bathroom the morning after, with the excuse “It’s natural. I’m only doing for myself what you wouldn’t do for me last night…” ?

Okay, well after two episodes of Physical Therapy I have to say that the pace is a bit slow. Maybe the lifeless pauses are a result of directorial laxity, or maybe it’s that these aren’t experienced actors we’re seeing.
EDIT: Look up the series on mydramalist.com (for instance) to see that we have a largely untried cast—and that the co-director is 22 year old Peak Peemapol Panichtamrong, a favorite actor (Make It Right) but not with any previous director credits that I can find.
But I’m going to persevere—because I like what I’m seeing, and … it could be rewarding in the end.
