Peaceful and Violence Free Society: Envisioned World for 2030

Through the past years, the social issues that we are facing are getting much worse than before. I firmly believe that in 2030, people will start to work on social issues for a greater benefit such as issues on poverty and marginalized people. However, I want to underscore the importance of giving respect to other people as well as on highlighting my advocacy which is not just tolerating but wholeheartedly accepting the LGBTQA+ for we are all equally entitled to our human rights, but I particularly want to put an end to the stereotype or social construct creates on them as they are oftentimes being subjected to discrimination, maltreatment, and violence which is not right. I believe that everyone has their own wants and needs, all have the freedom to be what they want and who they wanted to be. It's normal to love whoever our heart shouts, for human beings have an innate quality of giving and feeling the love. In engaging LGBTQA+ relationships are a personal choice; it is not dictated by anyone else regardless of religion and social status. There must be tolerance and respect in order to have a peaceful and violence-free society as it is definitely not a crime, but a choice.

I also envisioned a peaceful and violence-free society wherein building a strong foundation of companionship starts with practicing kindness and compassion towards others where mutual benevolence is being shared with our fellow Filipinos. The relationship with other people that I foresee is similar to the phrase that Confucius reiterates, "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you." To simply put, this means you should treat others the way you would want to be treated. We should start to require kindness and compassion as well as to practice altruism or having the desire to help other people. In that way, we will lift each other and lighten the burden that we have on our shoulders. We need to return the kindness and blessings that we are receiving to other people in order for us to live in a better world full of love and kindness. This is how love makes the world go around. Love for the people around you that drives you to do things in order to help them and make those people happy and at ease. Imagine having good citizens and great leaders, it really makes the world ideal and worth living in.

All of the other social issues boil down to one thing which is the leader who will govern us as well as the authorities who will look after their people and render the aid that people are entitled to in efforts to maintain peace and order. Obviously, through the past years, the standard of leadership has drastically dropped. This is due to the fact of romanticizing the prevalence of government incompetence and corrupt activities. Our administration is slowly decaying as people don’t know how to choose the right people to govern us which is the people who are trustworthy, transparent, and accountable or those who are outstandingly doing their jobs right and upholding the principles of a great leader that truthfully embodies the qualifications to preside over our nation.

By 2030, citizen engagement is one of the practices that need to be established in the community since through solidary and helping each other they will be able to attain and ensure that we are receiving what we are entitled to since we are a taxpayer. We should be immersed in the things around us, we should be vigilant enough to demand what we deserve such as having effective and efficient governance, improving the quality of the policies that are being developed. Through this, they will be able to exercise their rights and have active engagement and involvement in the government's actions towards a social change.

This is a sole reminder that the world that we live in is slowly expanding and that grants us to carry the responsibility to participate, be involved, and take part in the circumstances that are now within the extent of our concern. Always bear in mind that selfless demand for change helps the oppressed to get up and fight for what they deserve. Be the voice for the voiceless because if no will, then we will never be heard. Achieving "peace" is not an utopia anymore. Though the idea of a peaceful society has changed over time, the age of technology has refined it and has enabled us to achieve peace to some degree.
