I’m curious: How do you say your OC’s name?

I love reading about people’s OCs but I suspect I’ve been mispronouncing many of their names in my head when I read them. So, would you indulge my curiosity and reblog this with a pronunciation guide for your OCs in the tags? If you’re reading this, whether you follow me and whether I follow you or not, this means  YOU! I would love to know what your characters’ names sound like!

The day has finally come; Day 31 of goretober, teeth. I’m almost sad that the challenge is over, but I’m also relieved that I’ll finally get a break from the constant workload of it all lollo :,^) Today’s piece features, from left to right; Qingmei Ryder, Eun-Byeol Mun, Me, and Frida Tellers. I hope you’ve all enjoyed following my progress and seeing my works in my first completed inktober challenge. I hope to see you all and do it again next year! Happy Halloween, everyone!!!! :^D

1 DAY LEFT!!

Qingmei is most associated with her weights and body mods. Her theme song would be Cruskins metal cover of Zombie by Cranberries. Jie is most associated with snake sticks and his pocket hook, and his theme song would be BITE by Troye Sivan! Im so excited for tomorrow!! I cant wait to meet everyone in the Helius Cluster. :^D

3 Days

I plan on having Qingmei romance Vetra and/or Jaal. Im hoping the squadmates are able to be poly in game,, Jie is planned to romance Peebee, Liam, and/or (crossing fingers) Kallo.

4 Days

Qingmei's not the most professional soldier youve ever met, and that is part of why Cora doesnt like her very much. They get along well enough to work together and exchange small talk, but itd take a while for Qingmei to warm her up to her. Jie is intimidated by and a little scared of Drack.

5 Days

Qingmei'd probably get along with most everyone- despite her quirks, she is extremely charismatic. Shed get along best, however, with Jaal, Drack, Vetra, Peebee, and Liam. Jie is less social, but hed get along mostly well with the rest of the squad. Hes closest with Kallo, Dr. Lexi,Vetra, Cora, Liam, and surprisingly, Peebee.

6 Days

They don't! Qingmei would like them, especially Xian's puns and Chen's personality. Jie would look up to Lan, as a sort of role model for those in the health and science fields. Never let Qingmei and Xian start a pun battle, itll never end and Chen will drive the mako off a cliff.

7 Days!

Qingmei was very motivated and excited- shed begged him for this since she was 10, after all. Jie wasnt as enthusiastic as his twin, but appreciated the training nonetheless.

8 days

The twins are almost always unbothered by the presence of alien races. They may be a bit uncomforrable in the presence of batarians, but they dont let it interfere in their interactions unless provoked anyway. Qingmei is always friendly and charismatic, and Jie is intrigued by them- albeit standoffishly, of course. Both being pacifistic as they are, they both supporr galactic cooperation, if not all out unity.

9 Days

All their friends and family came with them to andromeda- no one important to them was left behind. Theyve both had 'flings' in the past (moreso qingmei than jie), yes, but none were ever really fulfilling the way they were looking for. The most significant person in their shared lives for now is their dad and eachother! They have friends in the initiative with them, but theyre not extremely close at the beginning of the game. Maybe later on? I guess we'll have to find out~

10 Days

Qingmei is too much of an in-the-now personality to have any regrets leaving the milky way. What is there to miss, anyway? Her family is all here in andromeda with her, whats the use in missing a place without people she cares about in it? She doesnt have time for that- there are space lizards to find! Jie on the other hand, does miss the security/familiarity of their old house, but is able to focus his attentions on all the new and interesting species and races in the helius cluster to keep away the small sadness. Hes always had a knack for focusing on the future rather than the past, which helps.

11 Days

Qingmei's Goals: Meet new people/reptiles, have adventures with her friends and family, teach Marty to attack on command Jie's Goals: Study all the new xenozoological organisms he can- especially reptiles-, discover new ways to communicate with people Q&J- Find Dad a date p.s.- did i mention space lizards?

12 Days

Both were excited- when they went to sleep, as well as when they finally wake up. Jie's a little apprehensive, but Qingmei is all out impatieent to get out there. In game, of course, theyd both be extremely worried for the other- its a very close bond they have, after all- Jie withdrawing into himself even more than he is usually, overthinking strategies and losing track of his thoughts theyre going by so fast, Qingmei becoming very short with everyone, throwing herself into missions recklessly, and becoming quick to anger. When the other wakes up, everyone's so immensely relieved, that they both cry.
