Okay but Dr. Clarke, Medicine Woman - Wild West Clexa AU.
Born in a wealthy, privileged family in Boston Clarke decides to follow in her father’s footsteps and become a doctor. Upon completion of her training, and due to female doctors still being frowned upon, she decides to move to rural Arkadia, a small town in the middle of nowhere whose people are in need of a new physician.
In spite of her family’s objections about the harsh life that awaits her so close to the wilderness, she starts a private practice there while battling prejudice, patriarchy, stereotypes and discrimination. The townspeople are reluctant at having a townie in their midst, especially a woman claiming to be a doctor, and at first refuse to let her treat them.
Enter determined, smarter-than-you Clarke with her no-nonsense attitude  setting out on a one-woman mission to prove her worth and winning people over. She’s adaptable and resourceful and cunning when she has to be and in the long run they.don’t.stand.a.chance.
She’s relentless. Especially when Clarke’s the only one to advocate, and diligently pursue, peaceful negotiations with the natives. The fact that the leader of the neighboring tribes happens to be a green-eyed goddess, the very embodiment of the spirit of the forest, a fascinating contradiction of soft and sharp, an apparition bathed in dappled shade and intricate war paint, and a visionary herself? Well ... the edge of the wild has never looked more irresistible.

but just ... Clarke and Lexa becoming friends against all odds - their mutual attraction always simmering just beneath the surface Clarke advocating for the natives and together with Lexa trying to work towards peace ; the people of Arkadia hating the nature-worshipping natives and calling them Grounders as a derogative ; Sheriff Pike and his right-hand man Bellamy: both narrow-minded bigots stirring up trouble ; blacksmith Raven and saloon owner Octavia both backing up Clarke and being the first ones to side with her both happy to finally have a female physician ; Pastor Kane trying to keep everyone in line while secretly fascinated with the natives ; the grounders hating the fire guns and mistrustful of the white pest that seems intent on wiping out their very existence ; Clarke immersing herself in Lexa's culture ... learning from her and her people ; every blade of grass - every rock in the river - every song in the canopy ; from medicine and hunting to their beliefs and ways of life - all so different from what she's been taught ; Clarke and Lexa and deep - dark woods ; whispers in the dead of night by a secluded campfire English and Trigadesleng intertwining like the crescendo of a hypnotic dance bathed in moonlight ; forbidden friendships and forbidden loves - inevitable and indomitable ; stuff I think about every now and then when I wish I could write DCMW AU
