(So this kinda turned into something way bigger and less related to the original post than I originally planned. But I also think that it's interesting so I'm gonna post it all anyway. I hope that's alright.)
Never forget that Hillary Duff starred in an Ad Council PSA specifically about this topic. It was already being reclaimed by that point and queer is a pretty similar case. It's fine. I'd say it's even past the point of just being reclaimed by now.
That said, the concept of what even is a slur is really interesting. Like colloquially we can kinda just go by the heuristic of, "It's a word that is used as an insult on the basis of its connection to some minoritized group," but there's potentially more to it than that? Like, some words are slurs when they're part of one syntactic category but not others, and there's intersections of identities that have influence here too.
(Bit of context here, "[word]_[PARTOFSPEECH] in this case means that the word is being used as that part of speech. Maybe basic, but I wanna be safe because I don't know what everyone who might read this knows.)
Like, I'm personally fine with queer_ADJ and gay_ADJ, but I'm pretty uncomfortable with queer_NOUN and gay_NOUN. But those noun usages were pretty common among older generations of queer people, some of whom react to their adjective usages as though they're slurs.
So with that being said, I think maybe a better definition of a slur would be something like, "A word which, in the mind of the listener, indexes bigotry against some group and as a result functions to alienate members of that group from the speaker." It's still imperfect (among other issues, this would make "cracker" in reference to a white person a slur in certain cases) and probably requires a lot of study and probably an experiment that I am neither qualified to devise nor conduct in order to nail down something really concrete, but I also don't think it's a useful enough definition?
If queer is a slur, then so is gay.
So is lesbian. Butch.
Homosexual. Fairy. Fruity.
Like come on, guys.
It was like ten years ago that everyone called something gay when it was "bad."
We reclaim words.
Don't forget what they used to call us, but use it freely, or choose not to.
But don't police other people who gladly embrace the words they used to hurt us, and making them our own.

Adjectives are interesting!
Hello everybody! This is my first blog and its about my favorite Part of Speech.
My favorite Part of Speech is Adjective. Why Adjective? For me adjective is really important because we use it everyday. We are describing everything we see every single moment and that is what Adjective for. Adjective modifies and describes everything. It is really helpful because it makes your speaking and writing much more specific. It also helps you to make your word or something sounds a lot more interesting.
Adjectives are really important because it describe Nouns and when there are no Adjectives Nouns will sound so plain. Adjectives gives life or color in words. Adjective is my favorite from all part of speech. I like describing every little thing I see, of course with positive one. :)
