Anushka Sharma: From Army Brat to Bollywood Powerhouse
Anushka Sharma's name is synonymous with elegance, talent, and a strong work ethic. Born on May 1, 1988, in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh [Wikipedia: Anushka Sharma](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anushka Sharma), her background is a blend of discipline and artistic leanings. Her father, Colonel Ajay Kumar Sharma, is a decorated army officer, while her mother, Ashima Sharma, is a homemaker. Growing up as an "army brat," Anushka developed a strong sense of independence and resilience, traits that would later serve her well in the demanding world of cinema.
Anushka's initial foray into the entertainment industry wasn't through acting. After completing her schooling in Bangalore, she pursued a career in modeling. Her striking beauty and confident presence caught the attention of fashion designer Wendell Rodricks, who gave her a coveted spot in his fashion show in 2007. This marked the beginning of a successful modeling career that opened doors to the world of Bollywood.
In 2008, Anushka landed her big break with the romantic comedy "Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi" opposite Shah Rukh Khan. Her portrayal of a bubbly and spirited young woman captured hearts and established her as a promising newcomer. She followed this success with critically acclaimed films like "Band Baaja Baarat" (2010) and "Ladies vs Ricky Bahl" (2011), showcasing her versatility and comedic timing.
Anushka, however, wasn't content with just playing the quintessential Bollywood heroine. She actively sought out roles that challenged her and allowed her to break stereotypes. Her performance as a gritty hockey player in "Chak De! India" (2007) is a testament to her dedication.
Movies like "NH10" (2015), a dark thriller, and "Pari" (2018), a psychological horror film, further solidified her reputation as a serious actress unafraid to explore unconventional characters.
Anushka's success extends beyond critical acclaim. She has starred in numerous commercially successful films like "PK" (2014), "Sultan" (2016), and "Sanju" (2018), solidifying her position as a top-grossing actress Although she has been on a break from acting since the birth of her daughter in 2020, her upcoming sports biopic "Chakda Xpress," based on the life of cricketer Jhulan Goswami, is highly anticipated.
Anushka's influence extends beyond the silver screen. In 2012, she co-founded the production company Clean Slate Filmz with her brother Karnesh Sharma. This venture allows her to tell stories that resonate with her and champion new talent. She is also a successful entrepreneur, having launched her own fashion line, Nurbaa, in 2016.
Anushka's personal life has garnered significant attention. In 2017, she married Indian cricket captain Virat Kohli, and their social media presence makes them one of India's most popular power couples. Together, they are vocal advocates for various social causes, including animal rights and environmental issues.
Here are some interesting facts about Anushka Sharma:
She is a recipient of several prestigious awards, including a Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actress for "Band Baaja Baarat."
Anushka was once listed in Forbes India's Celebrity 100 list and featured by Forbes Asia in their 30 Under 30 list.
She is a trained Kathak dancer and often showcases her graceful moves in films.
Anushka Sharma's journey from an army background to a leading Bollywood actress is an inspiration for many. Her dedication to her craft, her willingness to experiment with diverse roles, and her entrepreneurial spirit make her a true force to be reckoned with. With her captivating screen presence, her commitment to social causes, and her ever-evolving filmography, Anushka Sharma is undoubtedly a shining star in the Indian entertainment industry.

Food Coma Alert: My Mouth-Watering Journey Through Japan Will Leave You Hungry for More!
Are you there, lard? It's me, Chlever.
Many things have transpired since my last post here. Marriages were marriaged. Pandemics were paninied. Clevers were reunited for a few glorious months in the bay area. And most recently, honeymoons were mooned in Japan, place of delicious foodstuffs, amusing onomatopoeia, and dear friends, best enjoyed together.
Come along with me and relish in the choicest of meal memories, in no particular order:
Konbini onigiri If heaven exists, I am 99% certain it is a Japanese convenience store. Whether it be cold beer, hot mugicha, grape gummies, crunchy savory snackies, fluffy baked goods, ice cream novelties, or a steaming bowl of oden (more on this later), you can find it all at the konbini. But the crown jewel of the konbini has to be the plentiful onigiri rice balls; so good that Brian often wondered aloud if we should "just grab a couple extra for the road", as if there weren't konbini and thus more onigiri on every corner. I always thought my favorite was the tuna mayo, but the salt flake salmon wrestled its way to top-tier status this trip. 10/10, would howmf again.
Ekiben No doubt you have heard of the incredible train system in Japan, and the bullet train shinkansen that puts American public transportation to shame. It is one of the greatest joys of traveling in Japan, and as an experience, is elevated greatly by the tasty tradition of the ekiben, or train bento. These packaged delicacies can be found at any shinkansen station, displayed such that you can inspect their contents (sushi! shumai! gyukatsu! potato salad! kabocha! pickles galore!) and select whichever combination suits your fancy. Traveling with a fellow gourmand allows for more sampling, and perhaps selection of a third ekiben to share...which is precisely what we did. These ekiben were purchased at Ueno station in Tokyo to be enjoyed on the train trip to Kusatsu Onsen, in Gunma. 10/10 get in my mouth.
Things on sticks What is it about skewering morsels that makes them so dang delicious!!! Of course there's yakitori and kushiyaki abundant at any izakaya: skewers of chicken and beef (and cartilage, livers, hearts, etc) — all tenderly roasted over a binchotan charcoal grill and infused with salty smoky savoriness. Or the classic mitarashi-dango grilled mochi dipped in a sweet soy goo. But a first for me this trip were mochiyaki senbei, which we nibbled along the streets of Kusatsu Onsen. These skewered rice crackers were crunchy on the outside, chewy on the inside, both sweet and savory, containing multitudes. Things on sticks categorically I'd give a 9/10, only because we were weenies about eating a lot of cartilage.
Tenpura + Zarusoba As fans of CP will know, I have been to Japan twice before in my life, and that first trip was back in the era of mapquest and carrier pigeons. But my memory for delicious food is unfailing, so when we planned to visit Arashiyama — of bamboo forest fame — memories of slurping soba overlooking the hozugawa river came wafting from my past. Did I remember the restaurant's name? Certainly not. But through retracing steps on google maps street view, and then creeping on restaurant photos, I managed to hone in on Arashiyama Yoshimura, the exact spot where a young chlev had noshed those many years ago. So obviously we had to go back with friends Cassie and Miki in tow, and as luck would have it we sat in the same exact spot and ordered the same exact lunch set: mixed tenpura with zarusoba (cold dipping soba), with a little bowl of rice, pickles, and chirimen on the side. It was a beautiful day, and as the sunlight sparkled off the river and shone through the delicately translucent tenpura, I marveled at just how good life is. 100/10, go out of your way to eat this meal.
Kaitenzushi Did you know that conveyor belt sushi is not simply fun but it is also delicious?! Whether at a more local spot where the sushiyasan sits at the center of a sushi merry-go-round, or at a high-tech chain (like sushiro or kurasushi) where you order via tablet and your freshly prepared bites are shot directly to your table by sushi bullet train, kaitenzushi is both dinner and a show. Brian and I especially loved our meal at sushiro, where they tally up your final bill by counting the number of plates you end up with. 200/10 because that’s how many plates we ate.
Japanese breakfast Topping Brian's list of excited-to-eats, We enjoyed washoku asagohan a few times over the course of our trip. There is something just so comforting about a hot bowl of rice, pickles, and a perfectly grilled piece of fish first thing. Standout of all breakfasts was the buffet we enjoyed at our onsen hotel in Kyoto, Renka no yu onyado, which included all the above and more; entirely too much food for 8am, but dammit if we weren't going to sample as much as we could reasonably fit into our happy bellies! 10/10 duh!!!
I fear this post is getting too long so I will try and restrain myself.
Oden Some may say stinky? Plain? The food of the masses? I say delicious! Comforting! A clear stew with simmered daikon, tofu, shirataki, konyaku, carrots that I used to get at 7-11 and eat for lunch as a college student. Good friend Yoko treated us to the real deal at a wonderful obanzai restaurant in Kyoto called Shunsai Imari; kyoto home-cookin’ at it’s finest, 9.99/10 because there was no hot n spicy mustard to go with it.
501 Horai Butaman Fluffy!!! Filled with savory moist porky bits!! Served with a tiny lil packet of firey mustard!! These buns are bliss. You know it’s 10/10.
Ichigo daifuku Take the best dessert, manju mochi with anko red bean paste, and somehow make it even better by wedging a single perfect strawberry in there too. 8/10 because I managed to drop part of the strawberry in mine.
Okonomiyaki Perhaps the food I was most excited for Brian to experience, as we make "okonomiyaki" frequently at home in California. Where Dalby-style okonomiyaki are 95% veggies held together by the barest whisper of batter, Japanese okonomiyaki are dense savory pancakes stuffed with veg, meat, and noodles, with an egg cracked on top, mayo drizzle, and dancing flakes of katsuobushi. Cue homer simpson drool auughraahhhghhhghhhh. Brian says “7/10, could use more cabbage”
Tonkatsu A favorite from college days at Kansai Gaidai U, the chain Katsukura did not disappoint — slanging hot ‘n’ crispity cutlets of pork atop a mound of thinly shaved cabbage, and hot barley rice on the side. They give you as much cabbage as you want! Go wild! We certainly did! 10/10.
Matcha parfait We could not in good conscience leave without enjoying a novelty dessert, and the Rirakkuma cafe in Arashiyama did not disappoint. How delightful when things are both adorable AND delicious?! This matcha parfait had it all — alternating layers of anko bean paste, ice cream, and flaky cereal, all topped with an emoji-perfect dango 🍡 and pillowy marshmallow bear. 8/10 because that large green object was a tasteless rusk, thus a missed opportunity.
I'm sure we did other things on our trip besides eat, but what I will remember most fondly are the memories made around the table. The generosity, the laughs we shared over plates of tsukune-cheese, and tipsy debates on the many onomatopoeia for "crunchy" — from the カリカリ karikari crackle of a fried fish or chicken skin, to the パリパリ paripari crunch of a lacy gyoza, to the コリコリ korikori snap of a pickled cuke, or the サクサク sakusaku crispness of tenpura*. I crunched them all, dear reader. And I hope to crunch them again some day soon.
(*Despite the sheer volume of onomatopoeia, I recommend using them in conversation with reckless abandon, as mistakes will amuse and delight your drinking buddies.)
(PS - I asked AI to write the title for this blog post. The other options under consideration were: "Crunching Through Japan: A Deliciously Gluttonous Adventure"
"Japan: Where I Ate My Body Weight in Deliciousness and Lived to Tell the Tale"
"From Ekiben to Euphoria: A Foodie Adventure in Japan"
"Relishing the Culinary Delights of Japan: A Foodie's Journey")

Negati OC Info/Game Mechanic
Bechoe, Nimbui & Tikitoki
Bechoe
A Bat Negati that can be found in the ceiling and in darken areas of the level. It stays dormant and huddled right about a group of 3 to 5. It'll start to swoop down and start to attack you if you are too loud, very near them, or straight up attack them.. It's special ability is it's echoing screech beam that will bounce off the surface to locate you.
So using Invisible Man or Bitsy Elf is not good.
Nimbui
A Cloud Negati that rains and creates dark puddles on the ground in it's path that will damage the Player.
There's also a small chance for it to attack with lightning.
It's sometimes best paired with a Gabugabu
Tikitoki
A Clock Negati, it's small and nimble. It follows the Player and uses it attack to create a dome in the area.
That will either stop you or slow you down. While fellow Negati aren't affected..
Lachi/Lachichie, Okimi, Lampuri, & Globlob
Lachi/Lachichie
A Leech Negati, in which it hides itself above the level and jumps down to the Player when it gets a chance. It laches itself on to you, whether you have a Costume, most of the Costumes or none. When it does, it slows down your movement, if this keeps on, it'll invert your controls. It also has an ability to drain your Drops
The best way to remove it is let the Tims attack it, discard the Costume, or use some Costumes that has advantages on it, like Jellyjolt or Merry Ghost.
If it remained latched on to the Player, it'll evolved and grow large, similar to a Gawgaw since it ate/drained the Drops you collected.
In that phase, it's stronger and faster, climbing up on walls as it chases you down with ease. And latches on to you tightly, instead of draining the Drops. It damages your Costume.
Okimi
An Octopus/Squid Negati that can mimic it's environment, wether be a block, a random Stage prop, keys, crystals, Tim eggs and Drops!
So make sure to keep an eye to spot which is fake. To tell that that it's fake, eye on the objects that twitch, shake and hover.
Lampuri
A Lamp Negati, found in dark areas. With it's light equipped, it lights up paths and areas for you to see. But be cautious, that light can stun you in place when you are in it's light. Making you vulnerable to any attacks.
Globlob
A Blob-like Negati, can be found in gaps, holes of the Stage. It can jump moderately as it chases you down. You can attack it with any Costume but it has one thing special about it is the 3 masks and mask host.
The mask host takes the center of the body while the other 2 are put aside. If it's been damaged enough, it splits into 3.
Happy Mask | Attacking it will make you bounce off and it can jump high.
Sad Mask | Attacking it through contact will make you sink in it's mass body, and has slow movement
Angry Mask | Attacking the body is hard and dense like a rock, and reckless in chasing you down and it's much stronger.
So whenever it spawns, the mask host is different, the whole Negati has the ability based on the masked host.
Juplimulti, Bladance, & Wizizi
Juplimulti
A Jester Negati, it's special ability is similar to Double/Triple Trouble, but it duplicate itself up to 12, 13 when the main one is included. Make sure to clear out the clones and defeat the main Negati before it makes more clones of itself.
The best way to beat this is check it's 'bells' on its jester hat. Spotting the difference within the groups.
It also has the ability to steal your stored Costume.
Bladance
A Knight/Ninja Negati that's found in plane areas of the Stage. It's quick and nimble on its feet, make sure to keep your guard up when facing it, since there is a chance it can parry most of the Costume attacks.
It's sometimes paired with a Paripari.
Wizizi
A Wizard Negati that can be found in tall pillars or rooftops of the Stage. Looking down over the area and used it's elemental magic to strike you down.
You will notice a faint trail of light heading towards you, that means you have to avoid it or it'll activate to damage you.
It's much more difficult if there are Negati in said area and puzzles. So make sure to take it down with a nimble or ranged Costume.

OMG, she is the most precious human being on this planet. Her videos are getting cuter every time. And that adorable dango-hairstyle! Kill me now!
❗Please support Wakana❗
❗Join her Fan Club❗
❗Read my TUTORIAL here❗

I want to motivate people to join Wakana’s fan club so I will not share the content publicly. However, I really don’t like withholding content so I will resort to the following plan 〈(•ˇ‿ˇ•)-→ 👉LIKE and REBLOG my posts about Wakana’s fan club content 👉Leave a REPLY explaining why you currently cannot join the fan club / If you have already done this, just say you would like to receive a link 👉I will send you a Google Drive link via direct message 👉DO NOT SHARE the link or its content anywhere
A detailed summary can be found below the cut 〈(•ˇ‿ˇ•)-→
This is her second try at filming the video. The first time she tried to answer all the questions and the video turned SUPER long (she talked for about 2 hours). That’s why she decided to film everything again and make two separate parts. This is part 1.
Question 1: What made her choose her current house that she moved into a few years ago? The fact that she can see the sky clearly because there are no high buildings around her.
Question 2: What kind of supplements is she taking? She is taking a bunch and she has those super cute containers for every day of the week. She introduces one of her favourite supplements, RSP Nutrition BCAA 5000. It promotes muscular endurance and decreases fatigue. A friend recommended it to her [Note: I wonder which friend? *coughs* Keiko *coughs*]
Question 3: Her hair care routine? She has very long hair but in the humid wheather it turns frizzy and slightly curly so she always makes sure to use a special round brush to straighten her hair while drying it. She also uses a serum by a brand called Aujua. It takes care of dryness and leaves the hair soft, manageable, and moisturised. When she is going for a specific style, like an up-do (e.g. dango hair in the video XD) she uses a styling serum by by a brand called nAplA.
Question 4: What does she use as the base for her make-up? Aside from her concealer which she already introduced in her previous video, she usually uses a light and natural-looking base. And there is something she uses every day underneath her make-up. It’s her &be UV Milk. She uses it for her face and body actually. It’s very soothing and not sticky at all. Everyone should try using it if they can find a bottle.
Question 5: Where did she get the shark plushie in the background and what’s on its head? LOTS of people asked that question. Wakana thinks her shark is wearing a hat but she could be wrong. Also, she got that as a present from her relatives. it’s very fluffy and soft, the perfect size. She loves it. When her relatives saw if for the first time, they knew it was meant for Wakana so they gave it to her as present.
Question 6: The same question about her Teto plushie? She got that at a Ghibli exhibition in Roppongi. There was a souvenir store and she obviously couldn’t resist.
Question 7: How did she become a shark lover? [Note: She has actually talked about that so many times, why are people still asking this?] Her usual story about watching Jurassic Park in the cinema with her dad and brother. She was super scared but started to be interested in dinosaurs. At one point she came across megalodon (ancient dinosaur-shark). She was absolutely blown away by its size and immediately fell in love. She is happy that the fans seem to like her obsession with sharks, that allows her to make more and more shark merch XD She also loves shark movies (the ones where they are portrayed the way they actually are) and of course she loves going to the aquarium and watch them swim.
Question 8: Her go-to snacks and favourite ice: She prefers savoury snacks so her favourite snack might be “kaki no tane”. Especially the Ume&Shiso flavour. She likes everything with ume (plum) flavour like the Suppa-Mucho Ume chips for example. Generally, she is a fan of sour snacks so she also likes vinegar and lemon flavours. Her favourite ice and recommendation for everyone is PariPari Bar.
Question 9: What’s her usual air-con/heater temperature setting? When she sleeps she has her temperature set at around 27,5 degrees celcius. In the summer time when it is super hot she will turn on the A/C in the room adjacent to her bedroom so some cool air flows through the house and into the bedroom when she sleeps. Right now her room is at around 26 degrees celcius, she turned it down a bit for the video because she gets hot easily when she talks a lot. [Note: Does Wakana actually think that 26 degrees is a cool temperature? Wow. I honestly can’t deal with anything above 22 degrees in my apartment]
Question 10: Someone wants to see her accessory collection: She has a lot so she can’t show everything but she is showing us what she is wearing these days, She prefers gold over silver. She likes round shapes (not only with earrings but also with necklaces - like the choker she puts on).
Part 2 will follow soon! Everyone, please look forward to it! She says these Q&A videos are super hard because she can’t keep things short. She can’t answer with a single sentence, she just keeps on talking. These 10 question actually took her about 30 minutes to finish but she managed to edit it so the video is only 15 minutes XD
