Fem soukoku :
Dazai either blackmail, annoy or won a bet to convince chuuya to go to the beach or the pool with her ( they're either together so it's a date or they're in denial either way dazai is thirsty)
Dazai got a pareo, a bikini ( well she could also wear a one suit swimsuit to hide the scar but i think that bikini suit her) and water proof bandage ( chuuya is either with a one suit swimsuit ( i Can also see dazai pranking chuuya by replacing her swimsuit with a sukumizu ( the japanese school swimsuit) or a bikini which do nothing to hide her 8 pack abs and her toned body and dazai is a blushing mess.
Dazai will use her charm to get free stuff and will glare ( codly and darkly) at those who try to flirt with chuuya, she will also get chuuya to buy her stuff and will eagerly apply solar cream in her body.
She will also try to throw water at chuuya or sneakily push her into the water and chuuya will use her ability to throw wave at her.

"Please continue to listen to RAS' music more and more!" — A long interview for RAISE A SUILEN's 12th Single "Bad Kids All Bet"; PAREO's VA Kurachi Reo x CHU²'s VA Tsumugi Risa show that RAISE A SUILEN's core is "unwavering". [2025/01/08]
RAISE A SUILEN's 12th Single, "Bad Kids All Bet" has been released on 2025/01/08!
The title song "Bad Kids All Bet" reaffirms RAISE A SUILEN's (RAS) initial motivation to "Change the world". From the smartphone game "BanDori! Girls Band Party", both the VS live event story and the song have gained popularity.
To celebrate the release of "Bad Kids All Bet", Animate Times has put up this interview with PAREO's VA, Kurachi Reo and CHU²'s VA, Tsumugi Risa. It has been 7 years since the band was formed and once again, we find out more about their impressions on the other members.
Starting from 2024, coming into 2025, "RAISE A SUILEN ZEPP TOUR 2024-2025 "PANDEMONIUM"" certainly set our hearts ablaze! RAS very own Keyboardist and DJ talk about their personal goals up until 2025. It is a long interview packed with things such as how RAS' charm is made out of is nothing other than their "unwaveringness".
——————
What was their first impression of the other members?
— When I saw you two standing next to each other for the pictures I could really see PAREO and CHU²'s relationship with each other.
Tsumugi: Oh, thank you~!
Kurachi: Thank you so much!
— Do you remember when you first met?
Kurachi: It was at Bushiroad's office, right?
Tsumugi: It was probably just a meeting at the conference room, I think.
Kurachi: We were all called to meet each other on that day.
Tsumugi: Yes! I had no idea who I was going to meet. They just said to me "Your band members are all gathered". At that time, this one (Kurachi) looked like a trembling baby deer.
Kurachi: (Laugh)
Tsumugi: Everyone had such a strong aura! But (Kurachi) Reo-chan was just very tiny and tucked away in the corner so I remember that a lot (Laugh).
Kurachi: I guess that's true (Laugh). I tend to get very nervous by nature but, when I was sitting there, the number one thing that was going through my mind was "Will I really be alright around these lovely ladies when I'm just out of the countryside…?" (Laugh).
Tsumugi: Oh, that's true… You were barely 20, right?
Kurachi: Yes… I was still just a student. I felt like I had wandered into another world (Laugh). But, you were just one year older, right, Tsumu-chan (Tsumugi-san)?
Tsumugi: I was 21, so a college student... And I was also the most late to the meeting… (Laugh).
Kurachi: Wait, really?
Tsumugi: Yeah! When I opened the door I saw everyone sitting there and I was like "What!?" (Laugh). I kept repeating "Sorry…!" as I entered the room. [¹]
— What was your first impression of Tsumugi-san?
Kurachi: Honestly, I was kind of relieved (Laugh). Tsumu-chan is a cheerful person and she was also around my age so I remember thinking "I bet we'll become friends!". Everyone in RAS is really nice but I was incredibly nervous during that first meeting… So, seeing Tsumu-chan barging into the room made me feel a lot better (Laugh).
— Since Raychell-san, Natsume-san and Kohara (Riko)-san all had plenty of experience working with music…
Kurachi: I am very thankful to them. They've helped me grow a lot.
— It's been around 7 years since that meeting so, what do you think is your current impression of the members?
Tsumugi: 7 years…
Kurachi: So, it's been that long already…! It felt like nothing at all.
Tsumugi: I guess my impressions have changed since it's been that long! My first impressions of Natsume-san were "She's so tall! And cool! And blonde!". I thought she was a “gyaru” but she is RAS' very own damsel…
Kurachi: That's true! Natsupi (Natsume-san) is probably the one who changed the most to me.
Tsumugi: There's a huge difference! But, I guess RAS is full of these funny differences.
Kurachi: We all have our own different ways of being nice or fun so I'm really glad the 5 of us met. We come from different careers so I don't think we'd be able to get together if we tried to make a band ourselves. I'm really glad that we could meet through "BanG Dream!" and form RAISE A SUILEN.
— It almost feels like a miracle that you met! So, Tsumugi-san, what do you think has changed from Kurachi-san?
Tsumugi: She doesn't really drink so I think she's a lovely and pure lady!
Kurachi: Ah~! Don't make me embarrassed! (Laugh)
Tsumugi: She's always humble no matter where she goes. It's been 7 years but she still works on her problems with the same determination as before and I find that very nice.
Kurachi: I still panic over a lot of things to this day… Especially before a show, I always think "Did I get that ready? Is this going to be fine?" and I can't calm down. I want to be able to stand strong soon… (Laugh).
— And you, Kurachi-san? What do you think has changed from Tsumugi-san?
Kurachi: Tsumu-chan has always been the life of the party, even then. She always brightens up the room and brings happiness everywhere she goes. Whenever I need anything during practices and such, I go ask her for help right away.
Tsumugi That's right, I'm open for advice anytime. Though, you say that but you're the one who remembers everything the staff says word by word every time. So to me, I always think "If I'm lost, I'll ask Kurachi".
Kurachi: What!? (Laugh) But, you help me out a lot too!
Tsumugi: We live to support each other~.
Kurachi: That's right. I'm grateful that we can talk about even the smallest things right away.
— You two have quite a lot of history…! Well, what do you think about Kohara-san?
Kurachi: I had the impression that Rikopin (Kohara-san) was someone who liked to wear plaid clothes a lot.
Tsumugi: True! Like an idol.
Kurachi: She still uses plaid clothes now but I think it's nice she's using a lot of different outfits lately!
Tsumugi: She's a beautiful older sister, a true lady.
Kurachi: I felt like her beauty was quite polished. I also think she's very good at putting into words her opinions about our performances. We often have to move in symmetry during our shows and as a fellow member of the melody section, she's a very reliable older sister!
Tsumugi: She always has a logical explanation so she's very good at leading things.
Kurachi: When we met I thought she was just a "gracious person" but now I don't think that's true.
Tsumugi: Yep, she's someone with a very firm character.
— And Raychell-san?
Tsumugi: That's mom. She's our mom.
Kurachi: That's true. Well, my impression of Chell-san (Raychell-san)…
Kurachi, Tsumugi: Hasn't changed!
Tsumugi: Ever since we met she's been a mediator so, she's always been a mother figure.
Kurachi: Yeah. She has a lot of self discipline as well but I don't really think my impressions have changed.
Tsumugi: Without compromising the songs, she always manages to put everything into it. Her approach was to always put together the songs in a way the audience will be happy to enjoy, and that never changed. She really is a mom… Sometimes, I think she's my birth mom!
All: (Laugh)
Kurachi: Me too! We were born just one year apart (Laugh).
Tsumugi: (Laugh). So, the 5 of us being so different makes me love being on stage together with everyone.
Surrounded by the best fans who are never ashamed
— You have passed the year of 2024 together with those 5 people. What kind of things happened during the year?
Kurachi: Meeting our overseas fans at the Asia Tour ("RAISE A SUILEN ASIA TOUR 2024") was very striking to me. Knowing that our music has reached overseas and that so many people came to like us made me feel encouraged. I want to work even harder now.
Tsumugi: I think it was the first time we had a show in Asia… I was really moved.
— You were moved?
Tsumugi: Yes. We mainly work in Japan so our overseas fans have almost a long distance relationship with us. A lot of people were seeing us in person for the first time so they really didn't hold back in enthusiasm. They would straight up say "I love you guys! I love you so much!". Our Japanese fans convey their love to us as well but they (overseas fans) were very direct. It was probably the first time they've ever been to a show of ours so they really wanted to show their love and support and that passion moved me deeply. There were a lot of people in cosplay as well! I saw so many PAREOs at the venue!
Kurachi: Truly! Looking around the venue was like "Here's PAREO, PAREO, Nyuubara-san, PAREO" (Laugh).
Tsumugi: Ah, right, there were Nyuubara-sans as well (Laugh).
Kurachi: I was so happy to see that they wanted to show their love with their very own appearance. Something that was different from our Japanese shows was also the fact they sang the main parts of the songs together with us (not just the chants). There was a huge chorus! It was a different way of showing passion from here in Japan so I was excited.
— You really are able to see the cultural differences through the ways the show was enjoyed, right? It must have felt really nice to have such a big chorus rise.
Tsumugi: I was so happy! They remembered all of our songs.
Kurachi: And they didn't have any lyrics to follow…!
Tsumugi: It was incredible to see this chorus despite the language difference!
— And in June, "RAISE A SUILEN LIVE 2024 "ESSENTIALS"" was held as well.
Kurachi: This time, the audience was able to choose the setlist through voting. It was a new experiment for our shows. It felt huge to have something that we made together with the audience and to give them a show that they have built themselves. I loved the ranking that revealed the song's positions too. Those who were meeting RAS for the first time got to see the title of all the songs and also participate in the show.
Tsumugi: P (RAS' Producer) is a genius! That showcase was awesome!
Kurachi: If you watch "ESSENTIALS" you'll be able to see the names of all the songs before listening to them so I think that's a great introduction to people who are getting to like RAS.
Tsumugi: When I saw it on the monitor I thought "P really did it…!" (Laugh). The fans got to discover a lot of things with that, like "I wonder where the song I voted ranked as!" or "Wow, this song was in this position!" or "Wait, this song they always play was out of the ranking!?". I believe they voted thinking about those songs we don't play very often so they ended up choosing them instead of our regular ones, probably thinking the regular songs would be in anyway. People approached the ranking itself in many different ways and I think it's really interesting to think about that psychology factor. They could also question whether we would play other songs between the ranked songs and on the 2nd day, people had a lot of fun during "HELL! or HELL?".
Kurachi: It was different from usual!
Tsumugi: Everyone building the setlist to their liking made this a one of a kind show.
Kurachi: It was so exciting!
youtube
— I am sure it was very special to the fans to be able to make the setlist together with RAS. Well, you've talked about overseas fans but how do you two see the Japanese fans?
Kurachi: There's a lot of people who genuinely love music.
Tsumugi: That's true! Especially those who come to our shows.
Kurachi: I think a lot of people enjoy themselves together with us, headbanging and moving their body. What do you think (Tsumugi-san)?
Tsumugi: I think they're legit! When we say "Headbang!" they do it; "Raise your hands!", then they do it; "I'm not hearing you~" then they all go "Yo~!!" (Laugh). I believe this happens because everyone wants to have a good time from the bottom of their hearts, so they're able to make the shows enjoyable without being ashamed to have fun. When you go to a show, sometimes you do feel embarrassed to be a little loud but with us there's no shyness at all (Laugh). This is something you're able to see because all members are there performing with all we have… I think the best show ever is made because the fans come to see this stage that only these 5 people can make. (She says that with no breaks)
All: (Applause)
Tsumugi: I got so excited I even forgot to breathe…
Kurachi: That was incredible! (Laugh) I understood your excitement!
Tsumugi: Thanks (Laugh). RAS is the best!
Kurachi: And even still, the audience never breaks any rules! They will cheer with their whole body but never break any rules. Our ZEPP Tour (RAISE A SUILEN ZEPP TOUR 2024-2025 "PANDEMONIUM") that is happening right now is all standing and everyone was able to have fun peacefully while paying attention to the others around them. That made me very happy to see. We've got wonderful people supporting us.
Tsumugi: I stood in the front row during the rehearsal and the stage was very close. I think if I saw Reo-chan standing so close to me like that, I would 100% want to touch her but everyone was very well-behaved, followed the rules and had good morals!
— People who will go all out, but without losing any consideration for others… They are the best fans!
Tsumugi: No doubt.
Kurachi: I'm very grateful for that…!
"Bad Kids All Bet" is a very RAS-ish song that gets better with every listen
— And those fans have been waiting for your 12th single, "Bad Kids All Bet"! What was your first impression of this song when you heard the demo?
Kurachi: I thought it would be great for shows! It has a cool intro that rises up pretty fast and the lyrics have a lot of phrases like "Change the world" so it's a very RAS-ish song.
Tsumugi: I thought there were a lot of parts that would sound great live. It's just a charming song, isn't it? I could see everyone chanting the "Na na na na" part. Even by just listening to it, I thought it was pretty catchy. This is one of those songs that get better with every listen. We debuted this song in a show already and since it was the first time we played it, I don't think the audience knew how to get into it right away, but they were able to figure it out pretty fast. I enjoyed performing it, this is a very playful song.
Kurachi: It's easy to get into the vibe of this song. As for the keyboard, it has a lot of regular phrases so it's very fun to play. I try to perform by putting all my heart into it but still keeping the rhythm uniform. I think that uniformity makes it very groovy. The keyboard has a lot of eighth notes which I find to be the reason why it's such an easy song to have fun with.
youtube
— Just by listening, you can see that the keyboard has a very important role in a lot of parts of the song. What was your approach to show that charm, Kurachi-san?
Kurachi: I think it changes depending on the tone color. "Bad Kids All Bet" is a song that uses synthesizers in a regular manner so it's a very stable song that I try to play calmly. Our PA team is able to adjust the balance of the song very nicely so I don't have to worry about that part. I'm free to consult my keyboard teacher, the sound manipulator and our producer to come up with the tone colors, fixing as I go. During every band rehearsal, I always fully trust that I'll be able to make something together with our staff team. I wouldn't be able to do everything alone.
— And what was your approach to show this song live, Tsumugi-san?
Tsumugi: Compared to our regular songs, I think the audience was a little lost at first since it was a "newcomer" song. So, I had to think of how to turn that around during the show and I panicked a little. I had discussed ways for me to walk around on the stage with the members before so I decided to make a performance where I would look at the audience and appeal to their emotions. I wanted to jump on the "3, 2 , 1" part so I had to think of a way to say "Jump!" without getting in the way of the main vocalist, Raychell-san. Well, they ended up getting used to this song very fast. They were jumping and swinging their light sticks a lot on the last chorus and I was proudly thinking "Ah, they grow up so fast…" (Laugh).
— So you also have moments where you panic, Tsumugi-san…!
Tsumugi: A lot of unexpected things happen on stage… One time, during an outdoor show, a huge bug got up on my turntable… I think that was the day I panicked the most. I tried to brush it off with my hand but it almost looked like I was changing the BPM so everyone got really excited (Laugh). In the end, the bug stayed on my turntable the entire time and I had to scratch together with it… So, yes, those physical accidents happen too. Have you ever panicked on stage, Reo-chan?
Kurachi: A lot!
Tsumugi: Really? It doesn't look like it at all… When I see you practicing with those 3 keyboards I imagine you must have a lot of trouble controlling them but during the real performances you always do everything perfectly.
Kurachi: I'm always panicking! Back in the day, it was common for the next song to begin before I changed the tone color. So, I'd be like "Where do I change!?" and I kept looking for the right timing, all during the performance. I knew my panicked state would show on my face as well so I tried my hardest not to show it (Laugh).
Tsumugi: I had no idea!
Kurachi: Sometimes I wish the tone color was changed remotely but I also think it would be less fun like that… Every day is a struggle.
— Trouble-shooting and performances go back to back, so you must try your hardest every day, right?
Kurachi: I think problems are unavoidable in live performances (Laugh).
Tsumugi-san wants to re-record "EXPOSE 'Burn out!!!'"!?
— "Bad Kids All Bet" has some parts where you have to rap over Raychell-san, right, Tsumugi-san?
Tsumugi: I find that RAS raps are just things that CHU² would say. When it comes to singing those parts, I just try to keep that in mind, and, sometimes, I try out new things during the recording. So… (Looking at the producer) what happened when we recorded this one again? (Laugh).
P: I remember it being a really fast recording.
Tsumugi: I remember it having some difficult lines like the "Never been a good kid, I’m Sorry!" part but I guess it was quick!
P: It was just the "usual CHU²". The rap is pretty simple so I don't think you had a lot of trouble.
Tsumugi: That's right, I agree. I just did the "usual CHU²" style so it was easy. For the song, I wanted CHU² to be cooler and with no restraints and this time, my vision came together very nicely with the producer's vision as well as our production team so it was an easy song.
— You have gained quite a lot of experience since your first rap in "EXPOSE 'Burn Out!!!'", right?
Tsumugi: Oh, "EXPOSE 'Burn Out!!!'"… I wish I could re-record that! (Laugh).
Kurachi: What!? Really?
Tsumugi: Ah, I was just young and naive and shy (Laugh). Every time I listen to this song I get embarrassed when I listen to my part so I just skip it. Back then, it wasn't just my first time rapping but also my first time recording in general… I had no experience in a recording booth or in taking directions at all so this song was a result of me learning little by little. Thinking about it now makes me embarrassed because I think I've grown a lot since then. Though, I might listen to "Bad Kids All Bet" in the future and get embarrassed too! I'll do my best so that can happen!
— The fact you can look back in the past in this way is proof you've evolved.
Tsumugi: I think it has to do with all the shows we've had so far. Performing live and recording feel different and the way I sing also changes. So, I've gained a lot of experience in different areas because of that and I'm grateful that we can perform live.
— What do you think has changed from your rap?
Tsumugi: I used to desperately try to match the words, and I'm still like that now. When you mess up just one thing, then it's all over… So, if I feel like I'll mess up I just throw a "Oh my god!" there. I wonder if I changed anything…?
— From the producer's viewpoint, how is Tsumugi-san's rap now?
P: I think she has gotten better at picturing "CHU²'s rap" compared to the early days. She has always been good at reading lines, so even if the rap is difficult, by the time the recording day arrives,Tsumugi-san will be able to build a perfect CHU² for it. She can do the fast lines smoothly but she is also good at doing CHU²'s style. I believe CHU² might just live within her.
Kurachi: (Applause)
Tsumugi: Oh, I'm so glad… Thank you so much! I think I get closer to CHU² every day. I'm with her a lot… I think I see her more than I see my own parents (Laugh). I know she's my own character but I think she's very unique.
Kurachi: To me, Tsumu-chan really established the "CHU² rap". It's something that no one else can copy. CHU² and Tsumu-chan have something that is irreplaceable to RAS. She's able to stir up the audience with each and every move she does during shows, she can match every song's energy, and she's really good at rapping… I always think it's incredible we can share the same stage. CHU²'s charm comes together with Tsumu-chan's generous heart and that's how we're able to see a performance like that!
Tsumugi: I have become embarrassed.
Kurachi: (Smiles)
Tsumugi: But, I guess it's true that these performances are different from usual. I stand up on the DJ table… Sometimes I leave the table to go around the members… I have a lot more ways to heat up the venue now. Well… It's my turn to compliment Reo-chan! She made me very embarrassed just now~! (Laugh)
— (Laugh). Well then, please tell us your impressions and what are the charms of Kurachi-san's performance!
Tsumugi: The rhythm of her arms and her legs are different. Reo-chan dances while she plays so I suppose this should be expected but it really is something else. When I have to scratch I find it pretty hard to swing my head… I get so confused every time. I tried my hardest to do it but it was absolutely impossible. So, Reo-chan explained that it was just like making a "PAREO-like step". I think this girl is a genius.
Kurachi: Thank you! I'm so happy…! I'll keep doing my best because you see me this way…!
— While watching your shows, one might wonder how exactly the "Dance while playing" mechanism works…
Kurachi: Lots of practice! That's it! I've practiced the keyboard for more times than I can count which gives me the freedom to move my body freely now. It's the results of a lot of practice and a lot of following orders from the producer (Laugh).
— Are there difficult orders you have to follow?
Kurachi: Oh, absolutely…! For this song, Bad Kids All Bet, there's the two-step move. I have to somehow play the phrase perfectly, while trying not to hit the keyboard stand… I thought I'd collapse! (Laugh). I can do everything with no problems on stage but when we first start practicing, it's so difficult to get the timing.
Tsumugi: Your body gets used to it.
Kurachi: Yes! I'm used to the movements now (for Bad Kids All Bet). Well, but if it's not a two-step, I can't do it (Laugh).
"WELCOME TO PANDEMONIUM" is a collection of everything that RAS has done
— This single's b-side is "WELCOME TO PANDEMONIUM". Very different from "Bad Kids All Bet", this song has a swing rhythm, right?
Kurachi: I loved this song the moment I heard it!
Tsumugi: Me too! It's very catchy and the rhythm is jazzy… It's a fun song.
Kurachi: The swing rhythm is really energetic and we also haven't had a song with this brass sound before. The first time I listened to it I immediately thought "I can't wait to perform this!". It also brings back memories from when we used to be a backup band for Hello! Happy World-san. We used to play some of their songs that had that swing feel to them too. "WELCOME TO PANDEMONIUM" is the first time we tried this style but I think we could pull it off because of that experience we had from back then. It's a genre different from all we've been doing so far but we could do it smoothly. We've gained a lot of experience from being a backup band and this song feels like a compilation of all of that. It makes me very moved.
— When you know the band's history, the song feels a lot deeper. What do you think, Tsumugi-san?
Tsumugi: I think we still have more to show. We've had a Japanese-style song and a lot of different styles so far but I still think we can show more and more completely different things. "WELCOME TO PANDEMONIUM" is just a happy and fun song! I think it'll be a good song to change the mood of a show.
Kurachi: There's some parts where the audience can sing along too. It's a very cheerful song all around.
Tsumugi: Yes, it's a bright song!
youtube
— Perhaps it'll become a regular song! Well, Raychell-san's vocals sound a lot of fun there too, right?
Kurachi: I think it's just natural to say that Raychell-san's vocals are "always perfect". But, even so, she still works very hard and because of that, it's like she has our music running through her veins. To me, Raychell-san's vocals are RAS' blood.
— Blood?
Kurachi: Listening to her voice makes your blood flow, you're drawn to that speed and temperature and so, our performance becomes different… Because her vocals have such a strong presence, we feel confident to perform.
— What do you feel when you have to rap over her vocals, Tsumugi-san?
Tsumugi: Chell-san has a really varied vocal tone. A recent song that surprised me was "STRAY CERBERUS". Even though we've been in a band for so long, she still surprises me a lot.
Kurachi: I like her gentle voice in "Light a fire"!
Tsumugi: She sounds like a mom there. When I listen to her going "Light a fire…" I just think "Mama…!" (Laugh).
Kurachi: "Hold us, mom…!" (Laugh). I think "Light a fire" sounds great live. The mood changes so fast…!
Tsumugi: The illumination team also uses those warm lights that look like the sun. When that happens, you can only feel like she's "RAS' mom".
Kurachi: I love the lighting change! I really wanted to talk about that~. I'm glad!
Tsumugi: This song was on ZEPP TOUR too and when this moment arrived, it was like all our fatigue vanished. I think it's amazing to have a voice that can heal people. I often listen to this song at night.
Kurachi: She has a voice that can soothe your heart. No matter how fierce the song is, that core still exists. I think that's very unique.
"During ZEPP TOUR at Fukuoka, I've realized why "Change the world" has become so strong"
— "RAISE A SUILEN ZEPP TOUR 2024-2025 "PANDEMONIUM"" is currently happening right now. This interview was held after the Fukuoka performance. Without giving many spoilers, could you talk about the opening day?
Tsumugi: It's been 3 years since our first ZEPP TOUR and at that time, the audience couldn't cheer because of the pandemic. Now, I feel like everyone is having a lot of fun because they can cheer as much as they want. Also, during the show I noticed just how many of our lyrics have the word "Hell" in them (Laugh). This tour is titled "PANDEMONIUM" so a lot of the songs are related to that. Well, in the story, the characters go through a lot of moments where they feel inferior and in distress… So, I think we're able to have these songs because each of them has gone through their own "rock bottom" and I think that their "Change the world" becomes a lot stronger because they can climb out of those depths. That's something I realized during this show.
Kurachi: The lyrics have a lot of really strong lines.
Tsumugi: Because each of them knows their own "Hell", they're able to have this strength.
Kurachi: I think the members could make a lot of eye contact during this show as well, which gave the whole venue a sense of unity. The audience had a feeling that this was more fun than usual and I felt that too… I'm not sure why it was more fun, though…
Tsumugi: I felt the same. It was really fun but… why?
Kurachi: Hmm… (Looking at the producer)
P: I believe the fact that the audience and the members were closer than usual influenced that. That's one of the main characteristics of ZEPP.
Kurachi: That's true. We haven't had the chance of holding a standing show recently so I think that closer distance helped. It gave me a positive energy and that's why it was fun.
Tsumugi: I felt amazing from the first song. "HELL! or HELL?" is a song we never keep from anyone and this time we started full speed ahead with it. We pretty much always come back for an encore so this happened again (Laugh). While we were out, I could hear a faint chant for encore and I thought "Guys, are you OK?" (Laugh). "Of course we'll have an encore".
Kurachi: Some acquaintances that came to watch told me they were also on the 1st floor with everyone and that they headbanged as well, which made me happy. When the whole venue is involved, there's that response that makes you want to move your body!
— If you had this great response just on the opening day, I cannot wait for the other ones! Tsumugi-san, do you notice what gets the audience fired up?
Tsumugi: Reo-chan already said it but it's when they say the show was fun and we feel the same way every time. I always think about what I'm going to do beforehand but there's a lot of times where I just throw myself into the feeling at the venue. So, I guess that's what I notice…
Kurachi: From what I've seen, I think you pay a lot of attention to the audience and the members. It happens a lot for me to look at your direction and see that you were already looking at me, Tsumu-chan.
Tsumugi: The keyboard and DJ table are kind of far away but I have a nice viewing angle, even though it's hard to make eye contact sometimes. Sometimes, you look at me while you're playing…! You're amazing, Reo-chan
Kurachi: (Laugh). Well, because you are always attentive, Tsumu-chan, I can notice a lot of things when I look at you! It's really exciting when we make eye contact.
Tsumugi: It's incredible… For me, I just do my best to have a good time up there. So, I guess this excitement must be related to that. There's also adrenalin, right? Sometimes, I can't even sleep before a show. And you, Reo-chan?
Kurachi: I've been trying my best to sleep lately…! I think there's that excitement but also anxiety that comes before a show that keeps me awake… But, I use some aroma oils and sleep masks and try to relax.
Tsumugi: We all have our own ways to deal with the day before a show.
"One RAS a day!"
— With the release of "Bad Kids All Bet", what would you two say the "RAISE A SUILEN" image is?
Tsumugi: The song's styles might change, but RAISE A SUILEN is always unwavering. Our way of supporting people isn't by just "giving them a push in the back" but rather "kicking them into action". That's the RAS way of being and I think people can feel the power of encouragement when they listen to the songs. So, everyone, please listen to "one RAS a day!". A lot of things happen in our lives but I think if you listen to our music, you'll be able to feel that push forward! Ah, and pay attention to the lyrics too! This song (Bad Kids All Bet) has a line that goes ""Can" is better than "Do"". My interpretation was that you shouldn't do things because you're forced to do, but you *can* pick your own options. I was very moved when I saw this part.
Kurachi: We have a lot of nice lyrics… Whenever you feel lost or discouraged, please listen to our songs! I think the RAISE A SUILEN strength is that we never fit in any molds but we also never lose our essence. I want to showcase this strength in our performances even more!
— 2024 was a very active year for RAISE A SUILEN! Please tell us about your objectives now going into 2025!
Tsumugi: In 2024, I stood up on my DJ table one time and I walked around the stage to meet everyone in Fukuoka (ZEPP TOUR)… So, I want to make up another different performance like these ones in 2025.
Kurachi: I don't want to play it safe either! It's always…
Tsumugi: "More exciting"? (Bad Kids All Bet lyrics)
Kurachi: Yes! (Laugh) It's always more exciting to think about performances like that. Instead of just betting into the things that we're good at, I want to look back at every show and think I did the best I could do at that time… I want to attack 2025 like always!
Tsumugi: Reo-chan, that was the best…! You used the lyrics so nicely!
Kurachi: Thanks (Laugh). Let's do things that are "always more exciting"!

Kolejna rzecz: ładowarka do telefonu. Poręczna buteleczka środka dezynfekującego do rąk to obowiązkowy element nowoczesnej apteczki podróżnej. I pamiętaj - apteczka dobrze skompletowana to spokój ducha.

It was changeover day on the ship, so we decided to take advantage of being in Papeete and just wander around. We had thought to maybe take the ferry over to the neighboring island of Moorea, but it was threatening rain, and we also wanted to explore the town here.
After exchanging some money for what one of our friends calls the local "whoopies" (in this case French Polynesian francs), we set off to find the local market, which I had mislocated on my map. After checking out the cathedral and the city hall building, we managed to stumble upon it. A large, two-story that had at one time probably held mostly produce, meat and fish and other such things, it was now packed with folks selling clothing and pareos (sarongs), along with some food specialties and jewelry. There was music and a demonstration of how to wear the pareos for both women and men, along with commentary. As a market, however, there were no real bargains.
From there we moved on to a street that had lots of fabric stores, with tropical prints on cotton, polyester and rayon cloth, and one was more beautiful than the next, and not terribly expensive. Somehow I did find a shop with some really nice cotton prints at extremely good prices and bought several prints to make into shirts.
We then decided to walk along the waterfront to a large park which supposedly had a copy of the Hokulea, which was a double hulled canoe similar to that used by the early Polynesians when they set out for places like Hawaii or Easter Island. Hokulea was built and originally launched in 1975 to use traditional navigation to sail from Hawaii to Tahiti. After a successful voyage she went on to sail to many ports in the Pacific and in 2014 went on a three year circumnavigation of the globe with her sister ship. Unfortunately, the large-scale model has been removed for renovation while the ship, herself, resides in Hawaii.
We did see lots of outrigger racing canoes, as well as a beautiful water garden, and lots of civic artwork, though. At the southern end of the park they were setting up for an evening concert - we were reminded it was Friday night, since on board ship the days seem to blend into each other. We also passed a memorial to those affected by nuclear testing - that's the picture with the three structures.
Back in town, I couldn't resist a couple of signs . The Gobie (Goby) place was a fish restaurant and bar - I was reminded of the Goby and shrimp couple I had seen last week in their symbiotic relationship. And the potato box thing just makes sense!
We were back onboard by mid afternoon and had a late lunch and a lovely soak in a hot tub on the floor above our suite. The expected rain never really materialized and it was actually quite a lovely, although quite warm day. Tomorrow we have a bus excursion to several "undiscovered" places on the island. Of course, if they were truly undiscovered, we wouldn't know about them and certainly wouldn't be visiting them, but that's what sells tours, I guess. Seabourn is including it because we have to stay over another day to clean the hull before Antarctica. I think everyone would have preferred to have kept our original destination of Henderson Island (about a week from now) rather than spend another day in the city, but it wasn't our decision. It will give us a chance to see more of this island, at least. We will then get to see a bit more of French Polynesia before heading east
