As a DM, I had to draw my party's character ! So here you have Silgir, Aasimar and Grandson of Sylvre (Sylvanus), a paladin of the order of Sylvanus ho protect the woods from the attacks of the king of the Beasts. Then Cor, the tiefling warlock that tries to hide from his party that he is a Warlock AND the son of two well known paladin of the empire. And last but not least, Gaellion, a ranger who just wants a decent life and a to get paid fairly.

H and C 👀
me thinking 'man i gotta think about this one what ocs do i have with those initials... ah i see.'
(Send me a letter from A-Z and if I have an OC whose name begins with that letter, I’ll tell you their...)
Full Name: Haq'ra
Nicknames, If Any: his siblings call him a dumbass a lot does that count.
Gender: none
Sexuality: pansexual (his type is people who can kick his ass)
A Song I Associate With Them: Lights Out by MSI
3 Important Relationships: his wife Corinna (previously), his kids (including Lolo) (also kind of previously), and Xiao, who Haq'ra wants to arm wrestle Helm for (Helm would not allow this).
2 Fears: dying, and (redacted for spoilers).
1 Element of their backstory: if there's a foundational fratricide myth anywhere in problems-world history, it is Absolutely haq'ra's fault. god of victory at all costs. god of "bing bong, fuck ya life!"
-------------
Full Name: Corinna (Korine) Bearcatcher Feynnasa
Nicknames, If Any: Cor (by her friends/party members)
Gender: woman. probably cis because she did get pregnant with their kids but magical transition is always a possibility in problems setting to be fair.
Sexuality: demisexual.
A Song I Associate With Them: Overcome by Laura Mvula
3 Important Relationships: her husband Haq'ra (previously), Haq'ra's brother Irell who she was a paladin of, and her adventuring party who tried to help her kill haq'ra (which made him fall in love with her). <3
2 Fears: her worst fears actually happened so. i dunno what to tell you man.
1 Element of their backstory: after her kids became gods (traumatic for everyone), she went back to full time adventuring, initially out of a sense of guilt/responsibility for the havoc they were wreaking on the world, but she found that she had actually really missed it. it helped her to feel like she had a purpose again, outside of being a mother.

Hello I am here to make everyone aware of a DnD liveplay campaign: Evenfall (Arcane Arcade)
I have no idea how I got into the campaign (it was XPtoLV3 :)) but it’s awesome. I DONT see anyone talking about it online or here, I’ve seen a few tesseract and waterdeep posts, and apart from spring forth’s official tarot card art here, that’s about it. The main selling point for me in Evenfall is the really cool character related homebrew they do! It really made each player character distinct both in story progressions and mechanics.
I DONT really know how to put it in words without spoiling it, but I can with visuals! Here’s some FANART!
the starting party consists of Faelan (Bloodhunter), Lelia (Warlock), Kurt (Sorcerer), Stibbles (druid), Phillip (Paladin/Barbarian), and Cor (Wizard)
(Side Note: some art on the episode Playlist contains spoilers, so watch out for that!)

Continuing with the OC posting for #repostober, this is Arthur Fenn, a DnD vengeance paladin I'd love to get a chance to play someday.
He's one of the more intense characters I've come up with, although I reckon he's still slightly on the good side of neutral despite some slightly concerning vengeance-y tendencies. His secret backstory is that he was originally a general, and an Oath of the Crown paladin, but he failed to protect his kingdom and it fell, and so now vengeance is all he has left of the people and place that he loved. But for now, he's a simple sellsword looking to make some coin by joining an adventuring party, and any hit list that he may or may not have is his business, isn't it?
Personality-wise, he's the gentlemanly type who falls back on formal manners rather than dealing with feelings, and whether he'll admit it or not he's desperately searching for something or someone worth giving his loyalty to once again. He'd also quite like to find out what happened to his ex... something, a man called Cor who was away from the kingdom on a spying mission when it fell, and whose fate he still doesn't know... (And who I have a design for, but haven't drawn properly yet, something I ought to get around to.)

Aerin’s story is a harsh one. Cor Varias has a lot of beauty in it, but it’s also a harsh cold world that has no shortage of villains. And Aerin’s backstory introduces one of the scarier, more unsettling beings that seek to do this world harm. @ebevkisk
CW: torture, madness, unsettling characters, manipulation, genocide
Divine Wrath
The gods were a wild breed. Divinity was a granted position, but the primordials did not just pick from a hat. There was a long selection process. Most mortals never even began this journey because it takes hundreds of years to even reach the level of demigod. However, partial divinity could be granted as a boon a few ways. Through devout worship, like most clerics, or strong ideals, like paladins, or even through a pact, particularly creating warlocks. All of these were valid, but even the gods sometimes interacted with mortality in a way that created a unique situation. This caused the creation of the races known as Tieflings and Aasimar.
Tieflings and Aasimar were a solid chunk of Cor Varias’ population. No one knows exactly the chain of events that led to their existence, but it is said that gods often fell in love with mortals and spent a small portion of their lives with them, creating races of both half devils and half angels.
As centuries went by, Tieflings and Aasimar became a fairly large part of the mortal population. People were still wary of them, but being embraced by the divine and the hells was not openly mocked or acknowledged as dangerous in any way. However, the world had a way of swaying that boon against one’s own favor.
Aerin was born with that spark of divinity. Dark brown skin, black hair braided into a ponytail, eyes pure gold, she was slated to live a legendary life the second she was born to her mother. As she grew, she beheld visions of war. Battlefields, conflict, anguish. Her mother attempted to take her to clerics and other priests to see what could be done, but every answer was the same: this child was a chosen of Myrgonis, the ancient Goddess of War and Conflict.
Her mother continued to search for answers, but every path led the same direction. To make things worse, the world was in an extended period of peace. Hearing the birth of a child of war would gather all kinds of the wrong attention, so she kept to herself, mostly reading, attempting to drown out the sounds of her life in the background until her 16th birthday.
There came a knock on the door of the house the Curridans lived in just outside of Port Desriel. When Kaia, her mother, opened the door, a 6’7” giant of a woman stood there with a mournful look on her face.
“Hello, I think I may have the answers you seek. I apologize for the intrusion. May I come in?”
Kaia nodded and gathered Aerin to the dinner table to meet with this stranger.
The visitor spoke. “I do not spend much time outside of the Divine Gate nowadays, but this took precedence. I apologize for the years of grief I must have caused you. I made an error, despite it being a calculated and necessary one, and I can only hope you can come to forgive me. Aerin, I am Myrgonis. I am your other parent. Normally, Aasimar heritage is granted to those who are born of both divinity and mortality. It seems as though you were granted such a heritage.”
Aerin looked awestruck. This explained why, despite never really exercising a day in her life, she looked not just fit, but buff. It also explained her short temper. Aerin had always had a deep-seated anger that sat in her chest, but she’d always marked that off as a side effect of constantly seeing the worst side of mortality.
Myrgonis continued. “If we are lucky, you will be capable, but I am sorry to have put you in this position of trust, but I trust that you can handle it. Kaia, I sincerely apologize for this gift and I apologize for leaving you alone for all of these long years. I know it has caused you anger and possibly to hate me. Rest assured, you did not make any missteps. Side effects of being a Goddess of War is that conflict is an effect I have on people.”
Kaia, tears in her eyes, gave her wife a hug. “When we were together, you said that the life of a deity was eternally a lonely one. You can see things I cannot. I may not have understood what having a child would do, but that anger has since faded, knowing what a position it puts those involved in.”
Myrgonis turned to Aerin. “My child, I also would like to apologize to you. You have a long road ahead of you. The world does not look favorably on those of divine bloodline. They believe us to be mad. Believe us to be chaos and evil incarnate, but I choose to believe that you will show them how wrong they are.”
Years passed and Aerin studied the ways of war and conflict. Educating herself on battle tactics and the art of war, siege, and countering. Fighting became second nature and she carried around a hammer of pure silver. When she turned 21, she left her home in search of her destiny to learn through the eyes of the world rather than the pages of a book. She wore a cape slung over her shoulder and armor crafted by the best blacksmith in town. Standing a solid 6’4”, few travelers dared to even speak to her, knowing her only as a feared presence.
She passed through towns and cities, rarely speaking a word, but commanding a magnificent aura of respect and wary curiosity where she walked, hammer attached to her back.
The year of her 27th birthday rolled around and she had studied nearly every theater of war that could possibly exist and had come to the same conclusion as her mother. War was a plague and the best way to end a war is never to start it. Cut it off at the source and make sure communication is key for the world’s leaders.
As she traveled through the woods near the northern part of the continent, she saw something that made her stop dead in her tracks and made even the wandering guard shake in her boots. She saw her mother, but it wasn’t. Something in her eyes, even at a distance, felt very wrong. Unsettling even. Her heart rate spiked as she walked closer.
In her mother’s eyes were not the blue sky irises that she’d become accustomed to, but deep orange sclera and void black irises. A deep fear awoke in Aerin’s heart as something twitched in the back of her brain. Something seemed familiar.
Her mother spoke. “Hello, it seems as though you are shaken at the sight of this face. It’s alright. I’m sorry to inform you that she is dead. She gave her body over to me. I hope you can make peace with that. For it is now I that carry this form for this short period of time. Multanith.”
Multanith. A name so hated and despised that every word and record written of her was stricken from every library and carved out of every statue. Even the speaking of the name was met with a poisonous distaste in the mouth of the vocalist. Blasphemy was too nice a word for the unsettling existence of such a foul and deceitful creature and the world would do well to forget her all together.
It all began with a simple lie. The gods continued to ravage the world with conflict as mortality tried to maintain their foothold of existence on the material plane. Mortality desperately searched for a solution to increase their ability to survive the Disparity, but none came to mind until a rumor was heard amongst the people: sever all divine bloodlines. Extinguish the children of the gods and stop the descent that was bringing the world to its knees.
This violent rumor spread to the leaders, causing massive contention and discord as they spoke until the point where the Divine Acolyte was called forth and asked to speak.
“I cannot say, for certain, whether this is an advisable plan, but what’s to say the gods don’t have plans to extinguish us all? Even their children live among us. Who’s to say they aren’t betraying us now at this very moment? Exposing our plans and corrupting our children?” The acolyte offered.
The leaders didn’t like it, but they offered know alternative. Within a week, every being of Aasimar inheritance was rounded up and locked deep within the earth beneath the Ivory City. Hundreds of Aasimar perished or were driven mad by this decision as they suffocated and lost all sense of the world.
Of course, the gods did not take kindly to this. Behemoth drove her sword into the nearby mountain range, creating what would become Penrose. Veloria unleashed the will of nature creating both the decayed Crimson Plains and the Black Sands. The world grew teeth as Cor Varias turned from a beautiful planet into a minefield. There even rose a black sun into the sky, creating devastating heat and sub zero winters. If the world would not allow the gods to coexist in peace, then, maybe, the world would learn the hard way.
This sparked rage in the leaders of what was left of mortality. After a thorough investigation, it was found that Multanith, the Divine Acolyte, not only condemned the Aasimar to death, but also was the perpetuator of the vile rumor. As to be made an example, Multanith’s eyes were washed with sediment from the Crimson Plains. The Crimson Plains carried a deep sickness that latched onto the host and slowly corroded their physical form. Her eyes were left black and orange as she was restrained and left to decay in a cell until she was presumed dead. It is even said Multanith’s fate was tied to the black sun that she created with her deception. As the sun rose and set, so too would her pain.
Aerin had heard this story from her mother. As her rage grew inside her, this entity known as Multanith had usurped her mother’s body. Her eyes bored into Aerin as an unsettling grin fell over Multanith’s “face”.
“I have learned you are the chosen of a god. The same god that inspires the world to fight against its own kin. This does not have to be. War and conflict do not have to be what you stand for. You carry a spark much like your predecessors before you.”
Aerin, deeply disturbed by this entire experience, felt a pit of something stirring in her chest as she stared into what was supposed to be her mothers eyes. The sclera flared with an unsettling orange glow as Aerin felt her body freeze in place.
Multanith’s hand grasped her face.
“Madness is a spark, my child. Allow me to turn it into a flame.”
Her entire body burned white hot with a searing and uncomfortable pain as her vision started to tunnel.
“Offer yourself to the black sun. Give yourself to madness. Obsession is now your master and you are the pupil.”
With that, Multanith let go and vacated the body of her mother. As Aerin cradled her mother in her arms, she felt that hatred and that madness continue to permeate her mental faculties as her rage became uncontrollable. Forcing herself away from her mother’s now lifeless corpse, Aerin staggered deeper into the forest, hammer in hand and searching for a victim.
As she staggered forward in blind wrath, a bear appeared, clearly hunting for food. A force continued to take hold and she charged towards the bear, hammer out. Just as she was about to swing, a pearlescent white deer stood in front of the bear and slammed her backwards.
Concentration still blurred, she welcomed the new target and took a swing. The elk had surprising agility and dodged, using her antlers to continue to shove her away from the bear.
The elk screeched and it was as if the fog cleared away from the moment. As she tumbled rubbing her pounding temple, the deer slowly approached. Aerin lashed out, the anger still in her system, and the elk caught her arm, stopping its momentum. The elk sniffed her face and then screeched one more time and Aerin felt the madness melt away and all that was left was grief. Grief that her mother was dead and that some entity, despite all her preparation, dug into her head and left something there. As Aerin cried, the elk shifted into a beautiful blonde that just held her in the grass, shaking with the realization that she was lost for the first time in her life.

I lay soaked in sweat and wrung like a rag, still bleeding. Cor, my midwife, finished cleaning my son.
Gods. My son.
She lifted him squalling and swaddled and gently guided my hands to hold him close. I probably looked a mess- eyes mad, covered in sweat, hair a mess from thrashing. Cor eyed my shaking hands as I clutched my son to my chest.
Without thinking I almost snarled at her. How dare she think I could not hold him
Cor, chattering Cor, was silent. She looked away.
I felt my hackles fall. I couldn’t feel ashamed, however. I knew, at that moment, that I had fallen in love and that there was little the universe could do deny me that.
I held my son -bright as dawn- and I loved him from his first breath.
And my son opened his eyes, and I saw the face of someone I thought I had loved, and I knew I had killed over a decade before.
To be continued:
There is one constant in Antigone’s life- the hand of her Goddess, Pax Emelda, a Small God of rivalry. With few worshipers and fewer paladins, Pax Emelda can give very little power, but she can share plenty of opinions. This is infuriating for both parties. Antigone, because she swore a paladin oath out of desperation (never mind the truth she said) and Pax Emelda, for the young goddess’s guilt and shame.
A series of spiraling choices land them both alone in a town they used to know. Consequences good and bad follow.
There are two constants in Antigone’s life- the hand of her Goddess, Pax Emelda, and the love of her son, Edos. And there is little she will not do to keep what is hers.
You, a heroic paladin have successfully slain a fearsome dragon. But the dragon warns you that death is but a door, and dragons don’t die, they reincarnate. You paid it no mind….until your son was born with golden, slitted eyes.
#Writing prompt#I WILL CONTINUE THIS#Falling Star Rising Dragon#FSRD#Antigones title later on will be Dragon of Devotion :) take that as you will :)#I will be back tomorrow with a sheet full of character info and background :D

Day eighteen of #DrawEverythingJune2024, where I'm drawing people's queer TTRPG characters.
This is Courage, Oak, and Cor. They are @happinessisntfun's queer tiefling blood hunter, bigender half-orc half-elf ranger, and genderfluid half-elf paladin (D&D), respectively.
"Courage does its best to outrun the reputation of its father, but he has a long shadow."
"Oak is ready to make friends everywhere they go, whether people are willing or not."
"Cor carries the shield of their mentor, hoping to some day match his legacy."
The reference photo is here, and my progress thread for this piece can be found here.

Dissidia Final Fantasy: Opera Omnia Ramuh Spiritus Quest
The World of Illusions Spiritus: Ramuh event just started in the Dissidia Final Fantasy: Opera Omnia (DFFOO) mobile game. This event includes a quest called World of Illusions Spiritus: Ramuh SPIRITUS.
This fight is listed as “quest level ???” so presumably, this is harder than a Shinryu (level 300; currently the hardest type of fight in the game) quest.
Table of Contents
Spiritus Quest Information
World of Illusions Spiritus: Ramuh Spiritus Quest Missions Information
World of Illusions Spiritus: Ramuh Spiritus Quest Fight Take 1
World of Illusions Spiritus: Ramuh Spiritus Quest Fight Take 2
World of Illusions Spiritus: Ramuh Spiritus Quest Fight Take 3
World of Illusions Spiritus: Ramuh Spiritus Quest with Ashe Take 1
World of Illusions Spiritus: Ramuh Spiritus Quest with Ashe Take 2
Conclusion
Spiritus Quest Information
Spiritus quests come with a Grade system. There are 5 Grades - Grade S, Grade A, Grade B, Grade C, and Grade D.
According to the in-game text:
Even if you aren’t able to defeat the enemies in the quest, by fulfilling certain conditions, you’ll be able to achieve grades that may be reported to clear the quest.
Reporting by itself does not clear the quest. A certain grade must be reached to clear with reporting.
To get Grade S, players need to: clear the fight within 50 turns, clear without any KOs, and take 50k or less HP damage. Getting Grade S will also automatically get you all the other grades as well.
To get Grade A, players need to: clear the fight within 75 turns, clear without any KOs, and take 50k or less HP damage.
To get Grade B, players need to reduce the enemy’s HP to 10%.
To get Grade C, players need to reduce the enemy’s HP to 70%.
To get Grade D, players need to reduce the enemy’s HP to 90%.
World of Illusions Spiritus: Ramuh Spiritus Quest Missions Information
There are several missions or quests associated with clearing the World of Illusions Spiritus: Ramuh Spiritus fight. These missions are permanent and they are as follows:
Achieve grade D or better in SPIRITUS difficulty
Achieve grade C or better in SPIRITUS difficulty
Achieve grade B or better in SPIRITUS difficulty
Achieve grade A or better in SPIRITUS difficulty
Achieve grade S in SPIRITUS difficulty
Clear in SPIRITUS difficulty with only Blue Crystal / Green Crystal / Black Crystal allies
Clear in SPIRITUS difficulty with only short sword / greatsword / throwing weapon type allies
Clear in SPIRITUS difficulty with only Final Fantasy VI / Final Fantasy XII / Final Fantasy Tactics allies
There are also rewards associated with clearing the Chaos (quest level 180) and Lufenia (quest level 200) versions of this Spiritus fight.
And there’s a time-limited mission that wants players to “Achieve grade A or better in World of Illusions Spiritus: Ramuh SPIRITUS with Ashe in the party” and “Achieve grade D or better in World of Illusions Spiritus: Ramuh SPIRITUS”.
World of Illusions Spiritus: Ramuh Spiritus Quest Fight Take 1
This quest has 1 wave with 2 enemies, the Abyssal Anzu <Spiritual>.
For this fight, my team was Sephiroth from Final Fantasy VII (#ad), Gladiolus Amicitia from Final Fantasy XV, and Cor Leonis from Final Fantasy XV with The Brothers as my summon.
My Calls were The Warrior of Light’s from Final Fantasy I, Lenna Charlotte Tycoon’s from Final Fantasy V, and Paladin Cecil Harvey’s from Final Fantasy IV. All the Calls I brought offer the party protection and/or healing.
My Sephiroth has his 15cp, 35cp, Ex, LD, and BT fully MLB. His Ex has been Purpled. His Burst has been Greened. Unfortunately, he doesn’t have his own Force weapon yet.
Sephiroth has his High Armor, and it’s been Blued. He has his Bloom Stone. He has triple perfect Artifacts and triple real Spheres. All of his Summon Boards, Character Enhancement Boards, and Force Enhancements have been completed.
Sephiroth is a physical, non-elemental DPS. He can inflict enemies with a gold-framed debuff called Cellular Erosion. This debuff “increases BRV damage taken; effects certain amount of BRV damage”. Seph also lowers the speed of the enemies via an aura.
Sephiroth is a pretty good damage dealer but since he doesn’t even have his own FR yet and since it’s been a while since he last got a rework, he’s kinda outdated by now. He can still be made to work in a Shinryu or Spiritus quest, but it’s definitely better to just bring someone else instead of him.
I talk more about this in other posts, but it’s been like a personal challenge of sorts to try and run Sephiroth through all the Shinryu and Spiritus quests we’ve had so far.
Thankfully, so far, I have been able to successfully use him for all these quests. So I don’t want to stop now. Want to try clearing this Ramuh Spiritus quest with Sephi in my party.
Have Gladiolus’s and Cor’s 15cp, 35cp, Ex, and LD fully MLB. Their Ex weapons have been Purpled. Gladio doesn’t have his own Force and Burst weapons yet.
Cor has his Force weapon and it’s been fully MLB. But he doesn’t have his own BT yet.
Both Gladiolus and Cor have their High Armors, and both have been Blued. They have their Bloom Stones as well as triple perfect Artifacts and triple RF Spheres.
All of their Summon Boards, Force Enhancements, and Character Enhancement Boards have been completed.
Gladiolus is a cover tank. He takes the place of his allies every time they’re attacked. He will then counter and deal damage to the enemy after taking 0 or little damage from the attack.
Cor is a support slash DPS. He can deal pretty good damage while also providing pretty good party-wide buffs and auras.
Cor’s main gimmick is being able to link himself to an ally. Right before that ally moves, Cor will attack and deal damage. He will also attack and deal damage before an enemy moves.
Gladiolus is currently equipped with my Level 5 of 5 Greatsword Ultima Weapon while Cor has my Level 5 of 5 Special or Unique-type Ultima Weapon.
All the chars are boosted for this fight so was able to start this quest with my force gauge already half-filled. With everyone in my party having max Force Enhancements, it didn’t take that long before my force gauge was fully charged to 100%.
I really hate this fight and its mechanics though. First of all, the enemies here are highly resistant to all elements except for holy and lightning. They resist non-elemental attacks too so it’s recommended to bring an enchanter but there’s no one in my party who can do that.
The enemies have different stances. In phase 1 of the fight, they will be in a stance where they can’t be broken and where their turns can’t be deleted or delayed.
Without an enchanter, my chars dealt pretty bad damage. But with Gladio in my party, everyone was safe from the attacks of the enemies.
Once my force gauge was fully charged to 100%, had Cor activate his FR. Will be relying on this to get my chars to deal good damage that will hopefully be enough to give me the win.
The Abyssal Anzus were down to 95% HP when I activated Cor’s FR. I wanted them to get lots of turns to keep on increasing the HP damage bonus of Cor’s FR as well as get Cor and Gladiolus to keep on dealing off-turn damage.
Well, the enemies did get lots of turns but so did my chars. Unfortunately, I forgot to remove their speed passives before starting this fight.
Ideally, my chars should get as few turns as possible during my force time so I’ll be able to get said force time to last as long as possible.
Plus, the more the enemies move, the more my HP damage bonus will increase and the more Gladiolus and Cor will be able to deal off-turn damage.
For now, decided to just keep on going since things still seemed to be going well anyway.
By the time I only have 5 turns of force time left, the HP damage bonus was at 330%. The enemies were down to 81% and 83% HP.
It was currently Sephiroth’s turn. Decided to have him use his BT+ finisher already.
One of the effects of Sephiroth’s BT+ is that it will set the brave of all enemies to 1 for 4 turns. This is useless for this fight since the enemies here can’t be broken but at least Sephi’s BT+ has some other party-wide effects.
Besides, I thought it was just as well that I use Seph’s BT+ finisher now because I don’t want to delay the enemies anyway.
As it turns out, I should have used Sephiroth’s BT+ finisher much earlier. Because it wasn’t long before the enemies switched to a different stance. In this stance, they’re no longer immune to breaks and delays.
Only managed to get the HP damage bonus to 495% before my force time ended. By then the enemies were down to 66% and 67% HP.
Now was back to waiting for my force gauge to charge back up to 100% again. Before that happened, the force gauge of the enemies hit 100% and they got to use their force attack and go into their force time. Was able to survive their attacks thanks to Gladio’s protection and defenses.
By the time my force gauge was back to 100% again, the enemies were down to 60% HP. Had Cor activate his FR the next time he got to move.
Thankfully, this time, the enemies actually got to move even more than earlier. By the time I only have 1 turn of force time left, the HP damage bonus was at 710%. The enemies were down to 17% HP.
It was currently Sephiroth’s turn. Had him summon The Brothers already. The on-entry attack of The Brothers took the enemies down to 9% HP.
Hell, yes! Was really happy about that because that brings us to the last phase of this fight.
Right after the summon ended, the Abyssal Anzus automatically had their force gauge filled to the max. Their force time now lasts for 20 turns. They restored their HP back to around 49%. One of them went back to the stance where they can’t be broken and delayed.
Once the force time of the enemies ends, they will automatically reduce their HP to 0 and you will automatically win the fight.
So this was when I started using the defensive Calls that I brought. The important thing now was to be able to survive the attacks of the enemies for 20 turns.
In retrospect, I shouldn’t have done this but I ended up going into Sephiroth’s Burst+ phase.
It is possible to just finish off the enemies instead of waiting for them to kill themselves after 20 turns but with this team, definitely wouldn’t have been able to do that. Don’t even have another FR to use.
So going into Sephi’s BT+ mode was a waste of time. He didn’t even deal much damage at all since I don’t have any buffs and such for him and he isn’t even equipped with my Ultima Weapon.
The effect of Sephi’s BT+ finisher also ended up delaying the Abyssal Anzu who can be broken by a lot. This is bad because I need both of the enemies to just keep on moving already so they can quickly go through their force time.
Even with that setback though, I thought that I was still set to get the win for this fight. That is, until I went to double-check the mission requirements for this fight and was reminded that I needed to get the clear within 50 turns.
It was now turn 49 but the enemies were nowhere near dead. They still have 14 turns of force time left. Argh! Damn it! Now I have to try this again. Sigh.
World of Illusions Spiritus: Ramuh Spiritus Quest Fight Take 2
Before trying this fight again, made sure to remove everyone’s speed passives first. Brought the same Calls and summon as before. Just restarted again whenever I ended up making some mistakes and such.
This fight is such a slog to get through. Really getting sick and tired of this quest.
And, even though I’d already removed everyone’s speed passives, it still feels like they’re way too fast.
This was especially so with regards to Sephiroth. He even has a speed down aura, which really isn’t good for this fight and with this team since I want the enemies to get as many turns as possible.
Anyway, this time I reset until Cor got to move before Sephiroth. Had Cor give Sephi the buff that would let him move every time Seph attacks.
Then, on Sephiroth’s turn, went straight into his Burst+ mode. I thought it was better to use his BT+ now while the enemies can’t be delayed.
When my force gauge was fully charged, had Cor activate his FR. By then the enemies were down to 95% HP.
When the effects of Sephi’s BT+ ended, had him use his BT+ finisher, Heaven’s Light. By then have 3 turns of force time left and the HP damage bonus was at 415%. The enemies were down to 74% and 75%.
Only managed to get the HP damage bonus up to 485% before my force time ended. By then the enemies were down to 65% and 68% HP.
The enemies had changed their stance already. Sephiroth’s BT+ effect was still active so just made sure to break the enemies out of order so they wouldn’t get that delayed.
By the time my force gauge charged back to 100% again, the enemies were down to 57% and 61% HP and the effects of Sephi’s BT+ were over. Had Cor use his FR.
The enemies got to move a lot but so did my chars, especially Sephiroth. I’ve been avoiding his Fervent Blow skill since this one has high turn rate but even though I’m not using this, he still seems to get lots of turns anyway.
At least now that the enemies can actually be broken, my chars can increase the HP damage bonus by around 50% or so every time they move.
Anyway, by the time I only have 1 turn of force time left, the HP damage bonus was at 705%. The enemies were down to 14% and 19% HP.
It was Gladiolus’s turn. Had him summon The Brothers already. The on-entry attack of The Brothers took the enemies down to 9% and 11% HP.
So just had everyone focus their attention on the enemy with 11% HP. Soon, that enemy was also down to 9% HP.
Now was just waiting for the summon to end so the enemies can go into their force time already. It’s currently turn 35 so hopefully I’ll be able to get the win by turn 50.
Cor got the last turn before the summon was set to end. Had him use the Warrior of Light’s LD Call.
But then, seemingly all of a sudden, an error message showed up on the screen. It said “an unexpected error has occurred. Please make sure you are connected to the internet before trying again.”
Argh! Was so freaking pissed off. Damn it. I thought things were going so well, and that I was about to finally get the win for this fight.
Now I have to do this all over again. When I got back to the game, had the option of continuing the battle but of course that meant starting over from the beginning of the fight. Damn it. Why’d this have to happen now of all times? Sigh.
World of Illusions Spiritus: Ramuh Spiritus Quest Fight Take 3
So I started the fight again but when I failed to get the enemies down to 9% HP by the end of Cor’s second FR use, just quit and restarted the quest again.
As usual, kept resetting until Cor got to move before Sephiroth. Had Sephiroth go into his Burst+ phase. As soon as my force gauge was fully charged to 100%, had Cor activate his FR.
This time, was able to get the HP damage bonus to 495% before my first force time ended. By then the enemies were down to 67% and 65% HP.
When my force gauge charged back to 100%, the enemies were down to 61% and 59% HP. Activated Cor’s FR again.
By the time I only have 1 turn of force time left, the HP damage bonus was at 735%. By then the Abyssal Anzus were down to 12% and 14% HP.
It was currently Sephiroth’s turn. Had him summon The Brothers already. The on-entry attack of The Brothers took the enemies down to 9% HP. Hell, yes!
Now just need to hope that nothing goes wrong and that I can finally get the win for this quest.
Made sure to use some of my defensive Calls already. It was turn 35 by the time the summon ended.
Made a bit of a mistake here in that I ended up giving Cor’s buff to Gladiolus instead of Sephiroth. Aside from letting Cor attack before the char who has this buff, this buff will also prevent that char from being broken.
I’d been giving this buff to Sephi mostly because he gets to move way more often than Gladio. But this buff preventing him from being broken helps a lot as well.
Since I ended up giving this buff to Gladiolus, Sephiroth got broken when the enemies used their force attack. As a result, he lost nearly half of his HP.
Ugh. Just glad that he didn’t end up dying, or I’d have to do this all over again. Needless to say, as soon as Cor got another turn, had him give the buff back to Sephi.
Now it was just a matter of hoping my team will be able to survive for 20 turns, not to mention hoping that I don’t end up going over the turn count requirement.
Sephiroth took so many turns that I really worried that I’d end up missing the turn count requirement again.
Thankfully, the enemies got to move often enough as well. Gladio took care of all the single target attacks but the enemies also love using their AoE HP moves.
By turn 45, the enemies still have 5 turns of force time left. It was Sephiroth’s turn. One of the Abyssal Anzus was moving right after him. After that Anzu moves, it was gonna be Sephi’s turn again because of course it was.
Man, it’s really annoying how fast he seems to be even though I’d already removed all of his speed passives.
Anyway, on Sephiroth’s next turn, had him use Lenna’s LD Call to get the party back to full HP. As luck would have it, the turn order was now Sephiroth --> enemy A --> enemy A --> enemy B --> enemy B.
The enemies have exactly 4 turns of force time left so just need to survive their next 4 attacks.
Cor and Sephiroth lost a bit of HP but at least they didn’t die. As soon as the force time of the enemies ended, the message “Eased off the offensive” and then “Well done. Your reward” showed up on the screen.
Right after that, the enemies automatically reduced their HP to 0 then I was being greeted by the Victory screen.
Hell, yes! Finally got my first clear of this Spiritus quest.
Got all the rewards for all the Grades and even the one for one of the time-limited missions. Managed to get the win on turn 47 so it was pretty close. My HP lost was 6923.
Really glad that I was able to bring Sephiroth to this quest. It was an absolute pain though, and he was undoubtedly the weak link on this team. Really can’t wait for him to get another rework and update, not to mention his own Force weapon.
Anyway, was surprised to find that I also apparently ended up clearing the “Clear in SPIRITUS difficulty with only Blue Crystal / Green Crystal / Black Crystal allies” mission with this team.
Wasn’t thinking of those missions at all when I did this quest since those weren’t time-limited anyway. Was just focused on finding a way to clear this fight with Sephiroth in the party.
World of Illusions Spiritus: Ramuh Spiritus Quest Fight with Ashe Take 1
Wish that I could say that I’m over and done with this Spiritus quest but I can’t. Not yet, at least.
Need to clear this fight again. This time with Ashelia B'nargin Dalmasca from Final Fantasy XII in the party.
My Ashe has her 15cp, 35cp, Ex, LD, and FR fully MLB. Missing her BT. She has her High Armor, and it’s been Realized to 0/3.
Ashe has her Bloom Stone. She has triple perfect Artifacts and triple RF Spheres. All of her Summon Boards and Character Enhancement Boards have been completed but she’s missing her Force Enhancements.
Ashe is a support slash buffer slash healer. She can also enchant the party and imperil enemies with the holy and lightning elements. She can paralyze all enemies with her Ex ability.
For this fight, my team was Gladiolus, Ashe, and Machina Kunagiri from Final Fantasy Type-0 with The Brothers as my summon. My Calls were Lenna’s, Paladin Cecil’s, and the Warrior of Light’s.
My Machina is as fully built as my Sephiroth except he also has a fully MLB Force weapon. He’s currently equipped with a Level 4 of 5 Short Sword Ultima Weapon.
Machina is a really good physical DPS who can work in both rushdown and counter or off-turn comps. That’s because he can counter and deal off-turn damage.
Initially, my plan was to just replace Sephiroth with Ashe and still go into this fight with Gladiolus and Cor. Then I thought that I might as well try to clear one of the other Ramuh Spiritus missions as well so I dropped Cor and brought in Machina.
Both Gladiolus and Ashe are greatsword users while Machina is a short sword user so if I can clear this quest with this team, then I’ll also be able to clear the weapon-type Ramuh Spiritus mission.
Ashe’s damage was meh. She can’t even battery the party. But her enchant and imperil helped to increase Machina’s and Gladio’s damage output. Her paralysis came in handy too.
Once my force gauge was fully charged to 100%, had Machina activate his FR. Prior to that, had him use his BT+ finisher.
Machina’s FR has instant turn rate, so right after activating it, he got to move again. Went straight into his Burst+ phase. Have 10 turns of force time left and the HP damage bonus was at 125%. The enemies were down to 90% HP.
One of the effects of Machina’s BT+ is that it will transform his HP attack into this move called Furious Blades (Burst). This deals a lot of damage so just had Machina keep on spamming this move during his Burst+ mode.
Machina was able to increase the HP damage bonus of his FR by around 85% or so every time he moved.
So by the time he was about to cast Illuminating the Future, his finishing Burst+ move, have 4 turns of force time left and the HP damage bonus was at 635%. The enemies were down to 74% and 72% HP.
After Machina’s Burst+ phase ended, the enemies got to move a few times. This caused the HP damage bonus to increase some more. This also triggered Machina’s and Gladio’s counters.
By the time I only have 2 turns of force time left, the HP damage bonus was at 837%. It was Machina’s turn. Had him summon The Brothers already. The on-entry attack of The Brothers took the enemies down to 45% and 42% HP.
In retrospect, should have waited until I only had 1 turn of force time left before summoning The Brothers. The Brothers would have been able to deal even more damage with a higher HP damage bonus.
Because actually managed to get the HP damage bonus up to 922% before my force time ended.
I thought things were going well. Was just waiting for my force gauge to charge back to 100% again so I can use Machina’s FR again.
But then the enemies got to move. Their force gauge hit 100% and they attacked my chars. Ashe and Machina took some HP damage. They lost about half of their health or thereabouts.
Was waiting for them to get a turn again, so Ashe’s and Gladio’s HP Regen can get them back to full health but before that happened, the enemies got to move again. Their AoE HP attack managed to kill Ashe.
Argh! So frustrating! If Ashe had been at full health, she likely would have survived this.
World of Illusions Spiritus: Ramuh Spiritus Quest Fight with Ashe Take 2
So I tried this fight again with the same team, summon, and Calls. When I went into Machina’s Burst+ phase right after using his FR, the enemies were down to 92% HP and the HP damage bonus was at 125%.
By the time Machina was about to cast Illuminating the Future, have 4 turns of force time left and the HP damage bonus was at 635%. The enemies were down to 73% and 77% HP.
This time made sure that I only have 1 turn of force time left before summoning The Brothers. By then the enemies were down to 53% HP and the HP damage bonus was at 937%. The on-entry attack of The Brothers took the enemies down to 42% HP.
After that, just waited for my force gauge to charge back to 100% again. Also made sure to use some of my defensive Calls already before the enemies could go into their force time.
By the time I got to use Machina’s FR for the second time, the enemies were down to 32% and 31% HP.
Managed to get the Abyssal Anzus down to 9% HP while I still have 2 turns of force time left. The HP damage bonus was currently at 736%.
It was currently Ashe’s turn. Had her use her Additional Ablity so by the time she ended her turn, my force time was over.
Right after my force time ended, the enemies went into their force time. Their attack took my chars down to around half of their HP.
As soon as my chars got the chance to move, started using the rest of my defensive Calls.
But even with these Calls and Gladio’s defenses, still worried that Machina and Ashe could end up dying. At one point, Machina’s health bar actually went down to the red.
Could only hope that my chars will be able to survive until the enemies killed themselves.
When my force gauge hit 100% for the third time, decided that I might as well activate Ashe’s FR.
By turn 42, have 6 turns of force time left and the HP damage bonus was at 384%. The enemies were down to 38% and 33% HP. They only have 2 more turns of force time left.
It was currently Machina’s turn. The Abyssal Anzus were moving right after him. On Ashe’s last turn, her Ex was charged so readily used it to paralyze the enemies.
My chars weren’t at full health right now so had Machina use Lenna’s LD Call to get the party back to full HP.
By the time the enemies “eased off the offensive”, have 4 turns of force time left and the HP damage bonus was at 469%. The enemies were down to 34% and 28% HP.
This time, the battle ended on turn 43. Got the score and all the other mission requirements. Also didn’t lose any HP this time.
This team did pretty well although I was worried that they might not be able to survive until the end since the Abyssal Anzus ended up dealing a lot of damage.
Ashe’s damage was really bad and even her buffs and auras didn’t seem all that good but her enchant and imperil and paralyze proved to be really helpful.
Glad that I was able to clear this fight with Ashe while also completing the Ramuh Spiritus weapon-type mission.
Now there’s only one mission left - the series one. Unfortunately, don’t really have a lot of fully built Final Fantasy VI, Final Fantasy XII, and/or Final Fantasy Tactics chars.
I’ve seen budget runs of this Spiritus quest, and I suppose I could try and see if I can pull those off too, but - eh, what’s the rush anyway?
Really don’t feel like slogging through this quest again. Since this mission isn’t time-limited, I’ll just wait until I can get more chars from FF6, FF12, and/or FFT before trying this fight again.
Conclusion
So, what about you? Which chars did you use to complete the missions in the World of Illusions Spiritus: Ramuh Spiritus quest? Feel free to share your thoughts and opinions by leaving a comment below or by reblogging or replying to this post.

Firstly, I never thanked you for saying 'good job', so Thank you 😄️
Secondly
oh this is so good. “i'll just read a little real quick” i told myself and then was too intrigued to stop XD
What an amazing compliment 😊️
Thirdly, the context and Director's commentary:
that elo's cor cordium and that was her sword and that aurianna's holed herself up for years after losing her (which means he says she's “long gone but not forgotten” to someone who knows that all to well 🥺)
Yes, you got it pretty much spot on.
To add on to @aquadestinyswriting's comment, "now I need to figure out if this takes place a few centuries before or after the current campaign…" I think this probably takes place in the centuries between the end of DNS and before her current campaign.
Some additional points of note that might be helpful (under the cut cuz I got carried away):
In D&D, using a specific spell, special or supernatural ability, one can read the alignment of an item or person. If the aura is blue, then it's Good. If there's no aura, then it's Neutral. If the aura is red, then it's Evil. The intensity of the aura determines how far to either end of the spectrum the person is. For example, Eli here is an extremely Good person.
Part of the reason I chose Aurianna's POV for this was the 'dust' part of the prompt. Gold dragons are native to deserts; deserts are notorious for being dsty. She comes from the Scythera Desert in Khull; maybe she returned there for this story? Maybe she stayed on the continent of Allansia? Who knows...
The sword in question is called Lightbringer. It's a Sunblade, which has the 'Sunbeam' ability that allows the wielder to cast the Daylight spell, a spell that allows one to disrupt the Darkness spell. Daylight is the only thing that can counter magical Darkness. It also has a side effect of giving off a gentle glow. Terrible for sneaking, but great for your feckless party members to use in convincing everyone you're a god or a prophet or something.
Elo used the Sunbeam ability only once, and it was to stop a Durzagon (evil dwarf) who cast magical Darkness in order to confuse the party. She also only possessed the sword for 5 months before taking her Vow of Poverty, which meant she had to eschew all but the meagerest of possessions. The sword ended up in the party's community hall. I believe Auri used it herself a few times, but one assumes after the attack by the dragon Armageddon, it vanished... until now.
Another point which Aqua picked up on,
It's so befitting of a dragon that's grown up with the ideals of a Paladin tried and true. ... to only accept the little trinket he was crafting rather than the sword
This dragon had a very unusual Paladin as her soul-bound, and a very unusual 'upbringing'. Part of the reason she wouldn't accept the sword and would only accept the carved sand rat (incidentally, based on a Jerboa) was that Elo's code of ethics and the Vow of Poverty meant that they both valued 'basic' things made with love over riches.
Eli is called Eli because I am the capricious god in this instance and thought it would be funny.
...I think that's everything (I should probably stop now anyway 😅️).
Thank you again for your interest!
Time, dust, and sword? With Elo or whoever it fits?
Sorry if this is no help. But good job on how far along your fic has come, and good luck with the rest! :D
It's now apparent I'm incapable of writing drabbles. Also I made myself sad with this.

The Sunbeam
Today a man brought me a sword.
I watched as he climbed the bare, rocky hillside to my cave jutting from the oceans of sand. I measured his determination as he pawed dust from his eyes and fought for his footing on the ever shifting surface. He laid the sword at the entrance to my cave and called out, Wisest of the wise, O Lady of the Gold, I bring you a gift in exchange for your counsel. I waited, to see what he would do, and examined him. His skin was ochre, his hair like black silk, his clothes plain with little personal adornment. But what need had he of adornment when he shone, incandescent, with a pure blue nimbus?
He set up camp, a canvas pinned against the rock wall to keep out the sharp sands skittering in the dry air. The sun set and he made himself the thinnest of fires and ate spare rations. In the morning, he checked to see if I had taken his gift, and when he saw I had not, he beseeched me again: O holiest one, O wyrm of grace, I beg you lend me your counsel! See here, in trade I have brought you the sword of a champion – long gone but not forgotten.
Yesterday, a man brought me a sword.
He thought it a fine gift, this champion's sword. Expensive, yes. Powerful – unimaginably so. A gift worthy of monarchs, of sultans, of wizards… yes, indeed. And to another great, golden wyrm, it may have been. But I know that sword. I know the scent of it, I recall its power; how it banished the darkness of an unholy night. How it banished the darkness from the hearts of mortals. I recall the scent of the one who wielded it. I recall her nimbus of blue. Her recklessness, her drive, her love.
He flitted about his camp, the man who would offer me a sword. He spent his evening around the fire whittling and when he rested, I cat's-pawed to the entrance of my cave. With one lengthy talon, I moved it such that it might catch the starlight from above. You know, cor cordium, they never did get that nick from the blade that pestered you so.
Ereyesterday, a man brought me a sword.
Truth be told, he could do with a little more patience. But then, so did we both, when we were new-made. He came to the entrance of my cave, nearly tripping over the threshold. O mighty one! he cried, as though bereft. Will you not heed my plight? My people are beset by foul, undead things. Our leaders are dead, or fled. Or worse. We know not what to do. Please, I beg you. Accept my gift and help me! He fell to his knees in supplication. But, Beloved, do you know – he shone brightest of all when he spoke of his people. "Who sent you?" asked I. He trembled at the sound of my voice, but spoke true: My Nain. The sword was hers. She would come herself, but for her knees. Please, O Lady, tell me how to break this curse of my people. "You do not wish me to do it for you?" A flicker of uncertainty passed over his countenance. Oh, cor cordium. Were we ever that dumb? You… You could do that? asked he. "What is it you craft, at night about the fire?" Hesitantly he pulled it from his pack, a little rodent with wide ears and long feet and fur picked out in detail. It's a sand rat. I saw many on my journey here.
Ah… It was foregone, really, from that point on.
"You wish to offer me a gift in trade for my help, is that correct?" I asked of him. He nodded, fearfully. "Then I would like your little sculpture." But… I thought dragons liked things of power, or wealth? I laughed. "Not all wealth is to be found in expense. Not all treasures are gold. Come, place it here, on this shelf for me." Shaking, he did as bade. I nudged it a little into place. "Take up your sword… What is your name?" Eli, my Lady. The gods do enjoy a little joke, don't they, cor cordium? "Well then… Eli. Take up your sword." He lifted it gingerly, then hurried to the side as I stepped out. I shook out my wings – Bahamut! But I am stiff. You would say I've turned into my Father. Grown ponderous with age. I fear you may be correct. "Climb on and hold tight," I told this Eli. "We shall see what can be done about the unclean things besieging your town."
I had thought my time amongst mortals was done. I had thought those days of derring-do behind me. That sword… it pricked my heart anew. It reminded me what was lost… and what may yet be found. Oh, you'll forgive me, won't you, cor cordium? He did blaze so very blue.
