PVC Cards vs. Traditional Paper Cards: Why Plastic is the New Standard
As technology evolves, the choices for business tools and solutions evolve too. A perfect example is the shift from traditional paper cards to PVC (Polyvinyl Chloride) plastic cards. While paper cards have been a staple for identification, membership, and payment cards, PVC plastic cards are fast emerging as the preferred option across many industries. From toll management to retail loyalty programs, plastic cards offer durability, functionality, and branding opportunities that paper cards can’t match. Here, we’ll explore why PVC cards are overtaking traditional paper options and dive into how RFID readers are revolutionizing toll management on highways and city roads, enhancing revenue collection, and reducing maintenance costs.
1. Durability and Longevity: The PVC Edge
When choosing between paper and PVC, durability is a deciding factor. PVC cards are made of sturdy plastic, and resistant to physical wear and tear, moisture, and sunlight exposure. This makes them suitable for long-term use in high-traffic areas, like toll booths and public transport. Traditional paper cards, while inexpensive, wear down quickly. Even laminated paper cards can't offer the lifespan of PVC, especially in demanding environments.
PVC’s longevity leads to fewer replacements and less downtime, saving both businesses and users time and resources. This is why businesses in the healthcare, fitness, and government sectors are leaning towards PVC for secure and sustainable solutions.
2. Enhanced Security with RFID Technology
PVC cards support RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) integration, a feature that’s transforming the way industries handle security and access control. RFID technology enables contactless transactions and identification, which has become particularly beneficial in toll management on highways and city roads. An RFID-enabled PVC card contains a chip that communicates with RFID readers to enable seamless, automated toll transactions. These RFID readers, strategically placed at toll plazas, identify and record passing vehicles without the need for physical stops, minimizing congestion and maximizing efficiency.
This security advantage extends beyond tolls. RFID-enabled PVC cards are also used in corporate access control, secure payment systems, and government-issued ID cards. In comparison, traditional paper cards lack these advanced security features, making them impractical for applications that require data security and tracking.
3. How RFID Readers Improve Toll Management
The integration of RFID readers in toll management is a prime example of how PVC cards and modern technology can streamline processes. Here’s a closer look at how RFID technology enhances toll collection:
Automated, Contactless Transactions: RFID readers at toll plazas automatically identify RFID-enabled PVC cards in vehicles, allowing drivers to pass through without stopping. This contactless system significantly reduces traffic congestion and improves the flow of vehicles on highways and city roads, making travel faster and more efficient.
Accurate Revenue Collection: RFID readers accurately track every passing vehicle, ensuring that toll fees are consistently and accurately collected. This reduces the risk of manual errors and fraud, enhancing revenue collection for city and highway toll operators.
Reduced Maintenance and Operational Costs: Automated toll collection systems require less manual oversight, cutting down on labor costs and maintenance expenses associated with traditional toll collection booths. RFID readers are also durable and designed for high-frequency use, meaning they last longer and need less frequent replacement compared to systems relying solely on manual or barcode scanning.
Environmental Benefits: By reducing the need for paper-based toll tickets and minimizing vehicle idling time at toll booths, RFID toll management systems also contribute to a decrease in fuel consumption and emissions, supporting environmental sustainability efforts on a broader scale.
In essence, RFID readers at toll plazas enable a smart, efficient, and eco-friendly approach to toll management, ensuring accurate revenue collection while providing drivers with a hassle-free experience.
4. Branding and Professional Appearance
PVC cards offer a polished, professional look, making them an excellent choice for brands that want to create a lasting impression. Businesses can customize PVC cards with brand colors, logos, and high-quality graphics, enhancing brand recognition every time a customer uses their card. This visual appeal and customization option make PVC cards ideal for loyalty programs, membership cards, and even gift cards in the retail and hospitality industries.
Paper cards, though customizable to some extent, do not retain their appearance well over time. They wear out quickly, making them look worn or faded, which can diminish the brand’s image and lead to a less-than-professional impression on clients and customers.
5. Sustainability and Eco-Friendly Options
While it may seem counterintuitive, PVC cards can be a more sustainable option than paper in specific scenarios. Since PVC cards last significantly longer than paper cards, they require less frequent replacement, reducing overall waste. Additionally, many companies now offer PVC cards made from recycled or recyclable materials, aligning with eco-conscious goals.
Conversely, paper cards might appear to be the more environmentally friendly option at first glance. However, when considering the entire lifecycle of a product, the repeated need to reissue paper cards can create more waste and increase resource consumption. For businesses with sustainability goals, durable PVC options can provide a better balance between environmental impact and long-term usability.
6. Versatility Across Industries
PVC cards are incredibly versatile, which is why they are becoming the new standard across multiple industries. In addition to their role in toll management, PVC cards are widely used in gyms, retail stores, hospitality, and government offices for identification, membership, and payment purposes. The combination of durability, customization, and technological adaptability—such as RFID integration—makes PVC a practical and multifunctional choice for any industry looking to offer a professional, efficient, and secure experience.
Conclusion: PVC Cards as the Future Standard
As industries continue to evolve and adapt to new technology, PVC cards are proving to be the standard choice for businesses that value durability, functionality, and brand appeal. For applications that require reliable security, such as toll management on busy highways and roads, the benefits of RFID-enabled PVC cards are undeniable. They facilitate a seamless, accurate, and efficient toll collection process, reducing costs and enhancing the customer experience.
For organizations across the board, whether in retail, healthcare, or transportation, PVC cards offer reliability, flexibility, and advanced features that traditional paper cards simply cannot match. As the world shifts towards smarter and more sustainable solutions, PVC cards are positioned as the future standard in card-based applications.

SMT Boardgame Kickstarter Smells Like Suspicious Fish
There's an SMT boardgame. Curb your enthusiasm, you shouldn't back it. And if you did, lower your pledge to like a buck until they clear things up, because as it stands it seems like an incredibly suspect product.
Checking through the Kickstarter comments and Japanese Tweets about the boardgame makes the entire thing seem poorly planned at best. I'll summarize as best I can;
The designer is incredibly infamous in the boardgame community
Naoki Matsunaga, a self-described "board game sommelier", is the designer. You'll find tweets lamenting that "the board game sommelier is involved". Why is he so hated? This thread goes into detail: co_boze on twitter. Part of it is they bashed Werewolf over one game they saw of it, another is they took on a kind of public-face role for boardgames appearing on late night TV shows to talk about them in ways that annoyed boardgamers. They seem to have designed a boardgame based on "The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People" which ripped off Sid Sackson's 'I'm the Boss". But it's what co_boze talks about next that's really bizarre. The game was apparently banned from most board game cafes and playing spaces. Seminars where people could play the game were hosted, but the venues that hosted these seminars all closed down.
If you keep looking through comments, you start finding claims that his company does multi-level marketing (ie pyramid schemes). To be honest, I don't know if this is true. But even if it isn't, it is really not hard to find people who know of this guy and would really really really REALLY prefer he was not involved.
"Oh fuck, it's THIS guy" is not a reaction that inspires confidence
2. Questionable development and presentation issues.
A regular collaborator with Atlus recently tweeted "The use of AI in Atlus works or derivative works is stictly prohibited." He responded to a reply asking if this was about a board game.
The staff running the SMT BG Kickstarter later clarified the actual -game- wouldn't use AI graphics... but from the looks of it, the promotional materials do.
Dig that... generic metal pipe aesthetic. Nothing screams MegaTen like black plumbing to nowhere.
In totally unrelated news, a board game manufacturer recently tweeted that a Kickstarter used their name without permission, and they're not sure why.
Quote tweets on the post would suggest it was the SMT board game. The comment they are loosely referring to is this:
In a follow-up post, they do specify "The product figures will be made of PVC." and "We will be manufacturing the games in partnership with a factory in China that has a proven track record... " "Figure director Kimura Yuzuru has over 10 years of experience..." and other boring development stuff that I have no issue with. What I do have issue with is how they can say things like they're "considering" which manufacturer to use and namedropping other companies that they're unrelated with. (While I was typing this post, they posted an update that clarified the CMON issue and literally nothing else: here.)
The boardgame is being presented with machine translated English printed on the same cards as the Japanese. But the actual game will have a translator check everything.
they hire translators to localize all game content
Additionally, there was a week long radio silence on the Kickstarter. For reference, Kickstarters are normally very active with the project planners dropping updates, responding to feedback and clearing up any concerns.
Some of the concerns were "How does the game actually play?", a question that would be best answered by dropping a rulebook for people to look at, or better yet showing them an entire run of the game. The SMT BG Kickstarter has boldly chosen neither. Devs have commented the game is on Version 11 and plays well, which makes it strange that they can't share any of it with anyone else.
Actually, when you compare this to how most Kickstarters are run, it becomes very clear the SMT BG Kickstarter is, uh, kinda failing in all possible regards. The first Backer Goal is "Jack Frost Dice" at 2000 backers (not funds raised, BACKERS). Despite getting 300%(!!!) of the initial pledge needed, there are no bonuses or unlocks.
Mind, this lack of information comes after they already delayed the start to supposedly improve Backer Goals and other aspects.
There aren't a shortage of issues - it's ICREA's first boardgame (but not their first tango with SMT; they made the SMT30th Logo, for instance.) The timeline seems totally wack. The staff have been incredibly slow to respond. Cards with tiny font and two languages printed on them. Etc, etc. Maybe individually these issues wouldn't be too concerning. But all of them combined make the product seem incompetently run at best, and at worst an actual scam.
I'm hardly a big influencer in the SMT scene (my biggest contribution is when that fucking succubus gif gets 36k likes on Twitter every 5 months) but I haven't seen any English speaking sources discuss this in detail, when there really should be at least some noise about all of this. Still. if just one of you end up saving 600 bucks on what ends up being a trashfire carcrash project because of this post, then that'll have made the past 30 minutes of typing this shit worth it.

Do you have any tips or advice for running an artists booth at a convention? I'm thinking about doing it eventually and been wanting to hear from people who have done it before :^)
yeah!!! lemme rattle off a few things off the top a my head also, pardon me 4 using amazon dot ca links for products that i mention. its just easy to find references that way (and often u can look up the brand and find their non-amazon store etc etc)
this got super long so im putting it under a cut!!
• join an artist alley group!! i'm in this artist alley discord and it is a fantastic place to get info about cons, table display ideas, manufacturer recommendations, etc. there are more than just this group out there and i think there are bigger ones but i personally really like this one ^u^ i make a ton of use of the display resources and manu recommendation channels!
• if you can afford it, be choosy about the events you apply to. there are a lot of cons out there that are fantastic, and a lot that aren't worth the trouble, and i don't necessarily mean small vs big cons. some of my fav events are smaller artist alleys local to me, and most of the artists i know avoid informa (fanexpo) like the plague. check out what other artists have to say about past events and keep an eye out for red flags: personally i find cons with really out of date/poorly advertised social medias and websites that have mismatched info are a warning sign of a mismanaged and not well attended event. • you don't need a lot of fancy display stuff to start, those sorts of things you can build up over time. im a fan of getting a ton of my display stuff from the dollar store >:)
when you're ready and need the space to display a good amount of art the main thing you wanna pick up is definitely something that gives your table some verticality, whether that's a pvc pipe style setup, pegboards, or modular cube shelving (we all used to use these big heavy grid ones until the plastic sheet covered ones came out and now we all use those. theyre cuter and lighter and fit better on a table and come in more colours yayay. im sure some people still like the grid ones since they fit gridwall accessories tho) there are lots of other ways to display stuff but these r what i am most familiar with. definitely helps to look at youtube and pinterest and discord groups for display ideas!!
another thing you will want to start is a tablecloth. not every con has their tables already covered! there are those plastic picnic ones at dollar stores, and you can thrift bedsheets/fabric too.
• depending on the type of display and art you do you'll need some way to attach signs/prints/charms/etc to your display. i just moved from blu-tack to magnets but i used to use sewing clips (back when i used the grid cubes) and before then masking tape. all of them are okay and cool! except blu-tack. don't make the same mistakes as me it adds like 40 whole minutes to teardown and it leaves gross oil on the prints after some time. evil
• if you don't have business cards you can make a sign with a qr code that links to you/your shop! there are lots of qr code makers online that u can even customize with images and colours and stuff. there will be people that wanna know how to find you again after a con!
• these days a lot of people don't bring cash to conventions and it's pretty vital to bring some sort of card reader or other digital payment method. most of us use square - they recently made it so that the phone app can accept tap! so you don't need to jump for the expensive physical readers. i've also got a paypal dot me qr code and my etransfer email (i think this is a canadian thing) on a lil sign on the table so people have lots of payment options. usually over 50% of my con income comes from non-cash sales!
• make sure to bring change!! we've forgotten in the past and done okay but it's always handy to be able to make change for people. you'll want a secure place to put cash as well, whether it's a locked moneybox that you keep out of sight or a place on your person (friend of mine uses a fanny pack!) you never wanna leave your table completely unattended but especially when it comes to the moneybox. if it's a multi day con this is an item you mustn't leave at your table overnight.
• keep count of your sales and expenses properly so that you can see how much you made at the end of the con. i really like spreadsheets but you can even just note it down in a book. here's a little example of one con for me:
• you'll want to make a checklist of stock and display stuff to bring, but don't forget to make a list of minor stuff like phone chargers and scissors and tape and glue and pens and paper. multiple types of tape and paper if possible. they don't feel super important until you're stuck because you forgot to make a price sign and have to get by with a sharpie and a napkin. don't let that be you!! dollar store sticky note pads are super useful for this type of thing.
• plan out your prices and do as much prep (counting, sign making, display planning, packing/sorting) as you can beforehand so that the event doesn't feel too stressful. make sure your merchandise is stored in an easily accessible way for you behind the table so you aren't scrambling or rummaging too much when people are asking for stuff!
• similarly, whatever you can leave out for people to just pick/grab themselves, the more of it you're likely to sell. things like stickers and charms are good for this - people like to touch stuff! and it makes it so you don't need to go fishing for items for people as frequently. generally i don't do this with more expensive items just to be safe.
• if you sell prints, people are gonna ask for sleeves to keep them safe, especially at outdoor events. sometimes people ask for sleeves/bags even if they dont buy anything. they're a good idea to have on hand and you can find em for pretty cheap online and for a bit more expensive at dollar stores (i use OPP bags. if you dont wanna use plastic you can always get paper bags/envelopes/glassine bags instead)
• a cushion for the chair is a good idea. lots of conventions have really uncomfy chairs. some folks even bring camping chairs instead!
• pack snacks/lunch/water/drinks/have lunch plans. if you have a table buddy that is able to run out for food that's always nice. you might be sitting but it uses a lot of energy to interface all day!! you'll be exhausted and hungry and it's gonna be important to get enough fuel for your brain to function properly. i genuinely would recommend juice/soda/coffee/energy dink alongside water and food if you wanna live, especially if its a multi day con. get good sleep on days between!
• if you're excited to do trades with other artists during the con, the general etiquette is to wait until later in the day/near the end when the crowds are winding down! it's always okay to ask if someone's doing trades, and don't be upset or press them if they aren't interested or have certain stuff they don't want to trade.
• speaking of con etiquette, depending on the type of vert you are (intro/extro) and or how much customer service experience you have, interfacing can be nervewracking. my general rule is that if they stop to look, i say Hello and let them browse. if they seem interested in my table i try and do some small talk. stuff like How are you/How's the event been for ya/compliments on their outfit/cosplay/merch they have on like pins etc are good! kids and old folks love this. as tiring as it is to do some of my favourite parts of cons is talking to nice people that like my art!! all the folks that say nice things about my work are what keep me drawing ;w; i keep my sketchbook with me to jot down/doodle nice and funny encounters just cus it makes me happy to look back on XD
• when it's teardown time try to put stuff away as neatly as you can. you might be tired and just wanna toss all your stuff into whatever it is you brought it in but i promise future you (especially next-con you) will be so thankful that you put all your price signs into one baggie etc etc.
• speaking of bringing and putting away merch - you'll need a way to get it all from your home/car to your table and back. lots of people use dollies and other types of utility cart (i can guarantee there are a bunch of those grandma grocery ones at your local thrift store!!) - i personally use a big luggage bag and a collapsible wagon, but back in the day we used to CARRY bin after bin of stuff from the car and back in multiple trips which i would NOT reccomend lol. not every convention hall is easily accessible or close to parking so not having to lift stuff if you can avoid it is gonna be vital.

update 07232023
last Tuesday, son in law finds the hot water heater in their new house leaking
i've been working with them since Wednesday, hauling boxes of stuff and small furniture
on Wednesday, he contacts Lowe's and arranges to buy a hot water heater and have it installed on Thursday afternoon
Thursday afternoon, i work at the new house on electrical switch replacement while waiting on the plumbers with new hot water heater from Lowe's. they never show up.
Thursday evening, son in law decides to buy a hot water heater and we will put it in. i've told him that i can install it and i have experience with several hot water heaters before.
on Friday, we go to Home Depot and he buys a hot water heater and we bring it to the new house. we install the hot water heater but have to modify the PVC inlet water piping because the height of the new water heater is sightly different. we glue the new PVC piping and let it dry overnight
on Saturday, the movers come to the town home to move their furniture. i fill the new hot water heater and it leaks. the water is coming from under the insulation and not any of the connections we have made. i contact the manufacturer and they will send some parts and reimburse for a plumber to repair the leak. later, i call Home Depot and they say they will exchange for a new water heater. the movers deliver the big furniture to the new house. we drain and return the new water heater to Home Depot and get another just like that one. bring it back and install it and it leaks. feel like i'm going to puke. we drain it and bring it back to Home Depot, this time getting money back on credit card. about 830pm, son in law buys a new hot water heater at Lowe's. different brand from the Home Depot water heater. we install it Saturday night but have to modify the cold water inlet piping again and let the glue dry over night.
Sunday morning, filled the new water heater and no leaks. thankfully. in the process, i noticed that the water pressure reduction valve for the house may be faulty and letting the water pressure go above normal at times. new water heater is working well.
unpacking all the boxes and i'm changing more electrical switches and resting some.
top left = one of the first new hot water heaters
top right = moving company truck. the moving guys were super.
i've also been able to enjoy some time with my grand daughter, Ariel.
hope you have a peaceful afternoon and evening.

A meet with Miss Kimmy
Eric sent Miss Kimmy a friend request on Instagram. He was nervous to send Miss Kimmy a friend request, she is one of the most sought after mistresses in Japan. Eric waited weeks and thought that Miss Kimmy was surely ignoring him. he went to the nightclub one night and sat at a table. The rain outside was intense, the thunder rattled the windows. He couldn’t tell if the restaurant was vibrating or his phone was vibrating. Eric sat listening to music drinking booze and relaxing. Suddenly he saw Miss Kimmy at the other end of the room, his eyes locked onto her purple and clear PVC dress. In her hands she had two large plastic bags. Her body swayed magically, drawing Erics eyes into a dance as her hips moved as she walked toward him. Miss Kimmy said “I think I recognize you from somewhere.” She pulled out her phone, Eric’s phone went *DING* he quickly reached down and silenced it not realizing that he had forgotten to put it on vibrate before walking in the club. He looked discretely and saw a notification from Instagram “@KimmysPlasticWorldJPN has followed you” his eyes widened. He rubbed his eyes and blinked and said “Seriously this isn’t a dream?” Kimmy dropped the bags on the table and rubbed her wet elbows in Eric’s face teasing him with her plastic dress. The plastic was thin yet soft and supple like rubber. She said “If this was a dream, would you be able to taste the water and plastic, go on, lick it.” She pressed her wet elbows into his face, her soft arms softly caressing his head as he leaned back on the chair. He stuck his tongue out, he was embarrassed to do this in the middle of a busy night club but he figured, who cares, nobody is gonna pay attention and anyone that does will be too drunk to remember. The taste of her dress was delightful, he recognized the dress by its taste as something made by a particular manufacturer of PVC clothing. The water was still warm because of her body heat. Eric breathed deeply and sucked her dress into his mouth. Kimmy laughed and said “Someone likes my dress don’t they! Someone wants to play with me!” Eric became nervous, he tried to stand up but Kimmy pressed her body into him, kneeling on his legs, her pink plastic skirt draping over his legs, it covered in water clung to his legs quickly. Eric began getting aroused and shrieked “I have to go to the bathroom now!!!” Kimmy got up off of him and followed him to the bathroom door, she slid a card under the door and walked away. She went outside and stood outside her apartment block mere blocks away from the club, pink lanterns lit the area outside her apartment building. Kimmy knew she wouldn’t be waiting long, the rain was warm and for the next part of her game she would play with Eric she knew she needed to be extra wet! Kimmy started doing jumping jacks, she was making herself even sweatier, knowing that Eric would soon be with her for his fate. You see Eric had sent with his friend request on Instagram a message request.
PlasticLoverEric: Oh Kimmy, Nice to find you on Instagram, I love that purple plastic dress of yours. I have had dreams of being shrunk and glued inside of it under your arm, trapped against the soft plastic with nothing but your soft sticky skin and the soft sticky plastic to feel, only occasionally seeing the world around me as you grind my body beneath your warm stinky armpit!
Kimmy had intent on making his fantasy become reality, Kimmy worked for the Japanese Research Bureau and she had a secret potion that could shrink a man and make him invincible. She had invincibility potion that she had drank.
Eric finished using the toilet, he was nervous, he was shocked, he was aroused, he didn’t know exactly how to feel at this point. Kimmy made all sorts of emotions run wild within him. He washed his hands and walked toward the door before seeing one of Kimmys purple business cards. He read the back and it said “If you’re reading this come to my dungeon Eric” he looked at the other side which showed her address, then he turned it over again and the text was gone, it just said “Kimmys Plastic World - PVC - Breathplay - Latex - Bondage - Professional Domme” he turned the card over again and her details were the same on the back, he turned it around a few times trying to get the odd message to appear again. Clearly something magic happened. Eric walked out of the club, he followed the street signs a few blocks away and saw Kimmy doing jumping jacks beneath the lantern lamps. he walked up to her and said “Kimmy, what are you doing, you’ll get heat stroke.” Kimmy said “Oh if anyone is going to have a stroke it will be you.” Eric laughed and said “I guess you’re right, I just like to lounge around in rainwear and I used to see you on Twitter until your Twitter got closed doing all sorts of exercise in plastic, even at the gym!” Kimmy said “Yes, I can handle a lot of heat, I like to get extremely sweaty and stinky in my plastic clothes!” Kimmy walked toward Eric stopping her exercise, she said to him holding up the two bags “In one hand a bag that will grant you wealth, in the other a bag that will go over your head and suffocate you!” Eric became nervous, he held his hand up to her right arm and then took it down. He thought for a while and then said “Screw it, whatever the bag in your left hand is” She said laughing “Neither of them grant wealth, both grant you suffocation!” Kimmy pulled the tight thin plastic bag over Eric’s head, it had and adhesive strap on it like a diaper that Kimmy quickly pulled tight around Eric’s neck. Eric screamed and grabbed at it only to realize that it was sealed off! Eric cried out “What the fuck, it’s just like diaper tape, why can’t I take it off!” Kimmy says “You idiot, did you not figure out from my business card that I’m magic, that bag isn’t a normal bag either, that tape will only release for my hand! Now come in my apartment unless you want to die on the street suffocated in my plastic sack!” Eric was having a very hard time seeing, the bag turned steamy in an instant, it was a very small snug bag against his head, it collapsed around his face tightly with each inhalation, the air in his lungs the only thing he could rebreathe.
Kimmy grabbed Eric by the arm, he followed her into the apartment building, his breathing getting heavier as he began to suffocate. She said “Aww, we have to climb the stairs to the third floor, come on.” Eric climbed the stairs, consciousness growing weak. As he stood at her door he saw “Apartment 303” as his vision started turning brown. Kimmy opened the door shoved him inside and closed the door behind her before yanking the tape off the bag. Eric gasped fresh air into his aching lungs, consciousness returning. Kimmy laid on top of him on the floor, her dress was wet inside and out. Kimmy rubbed her lips on Eric’s lips and said “Taste it, taste the sweat that has dripped from my hair down my forehead onto my lips.” Eric could taste her sweet salty sweat, it made him aroused. He was already extremely aroused from being suffocated with her bag. Almost 8 minutes struggling to rebreathe the small amount of air in the small bag fighting for his life made him extremely hard. Eric dribbled precum in his shorts. Kimmy felt the warmth against her and said “Someone likes my sweat, a lot. Someone likes my sweat so much that I think they need to spend more time smelling it!” Eric said “Sorry Kimmy, being bagged up and tasting your sweat, it’s too arousing!” Kimmy laughed and said “I’m used to guys being turned on by being bagged, but turned on by my sweat is new. I’ve never had a guy get turned on or orgasm from my sweat.” Eric said to Kimmy “I’d love to smell the inside of your dress.” Kimmy unbuttoned her dress opening the collar, she laid into Eric’s face and pressed his nose and mouth into her soaking wet chest and said “Breathe it, breathe the inside of my dress and my chest.” Eric could smell her sweaty breasts mixed with the smell of her armpit sweat and all her sweat in that dress, it made him gag, yet he was still rock hard from it.
Kimmy said “A stench so strong it makes men orgasm as they pass out just from breathing it! I hope you’re ready to go down Eric, because whether you like it or not, LIGHTS OUT!” she wrapped her arms around Eric tightly holding him into her chest brutally tight, the only air he could breathe the hot humid thick sour sweaty air of the inside of her dress. Kimmy said “Squirm, pull, struggle all you want. I’m not letting you go until you are limp against my chest. I’m going to suffocate you in my smell!” Eric writhed and pulled in her grip, he grabbed at her arms but she was way too strong for him, his neck was trapped beneath her arms and his face was jammed into her chest, all he could do was suck on her sweaty skin and get some air from inside her dress. It was foul smelling, Eric had no idea when she had cleaned the dress but he knew it wasn’t recent. Eric orgasmed again with great embarrassment. Kimmy said “You sick twisted pervert, orgasming as you’re about to die in my dress!” Eric screamed in panic, Kimmy muffled his screams squeezing him in harder now completely sealing off his airways with her sweaty skin! Eric grabbed at her arms, his body getting weak. Not only was consciousness fading but he was getting oddly relaxed by her sweat, a sweet salty taste that filled his mouth as he sucked on her skin desperate for air. He closed his eyes and sucked her skin into his nose and mouth. Kimmy said “Goodnight Eric.” squeezing his head in just a little harder as his arms went limp. Eric felt like his head was going to burst as his mind faded out, he was gone. Eric blacked out against her chest. Kimmy pulled a small vial out from between her breasts on a necklace, in it there were golden crystals. She pulled the vial open and put a single gold crystal into Eric’s mouth. While he was blacked out she wrapped his body in clear plastic, using thick clear plastic tape to tightly trap him.
Eric reawoke a few minutes later, he shifted his body and looked down and made muffled screams, his mouth wrapped in clear plastic tape very tightly. Kimmy said “Oh look, the helpless man is awake and ready to begin his eternal journey.” Eric made muffled screams shaking his head Kimmy said “Awww, helpless man trying to say no? or is it yes? I can’t tell, but it doesn’t matter, you’ve orgasmed so many times from my sweat, you belong in my dress!” Eric’s eyes widened with fear each time she spoke. He struggled wildly as she stood over him, her dress dripping sweat into his nostrils making him whimper from the smell and salty slimy feeling, it was like having snot poured into his nose! Eric shook and tried to get away but his body was becoming exhausted, he weakly wiggled his head as her sweat poured from her dress. Eric was baffled by how much sweat was coming off of her, it was like a waterfall of warm slimy salty stink. Kimmy said standing over him looking at his bulge “You’re literally drowning in my sweat and you’re still turned on, god you are so messed up! You realize I’ve had this dress on for the last 20 years? When I got this dress when I turned 21 I put it on and never took it off or showered since aside from what little water gets in from the rain. My sweat has got to be so disgusting! Why is nobody disgusted!” Eric couldn’t tell her that her sweat was although beyond salty and sour it smelled sweet and flowery. The smell was good, but the taste was horrifying. And even then the smell was only good enough to not offend someones nostrils that they vomit, it wasn’t exactly a good smell, it was kind of a smell like sweet and flowery mixed with heavy undertones of 20 year old body odor. Half of the smell made Eric want to throw up and for his nose to either curl up or better yet shrivel up and fall off and half of it made him want to breathe deeper and take her scent all the way into his lungs even if it did mean having her sweat literally drown him to death.
Kimmy stood over Eric’s face and said “I’m going to stand here until my sweat fills your entire body, in a matter of under an hour my sweat will be bubbling in your nose after it fills your stomach lungs and every hole in your airways.” Eric’s body was limp, he was alive, yet his body had seemed to have given up. Eric couldn’t move a muscle, he could simply look up at Kimmy, even worse was he grinned beneath the tape. As her sweat reached his throat and began spilling into his lungs he smiled. Kimmy laughed loudly and said “Jesus you are fucked up, I can see you smiling! You’re smiling as my gross sweat floods your lungs! I can tell with how many men I’ve drowned in my sweat where you are in the process, it’s filled your pathetic stomach and is now flooding into your lungs. At least you’re going to be with me forever unlike the other men, they get filled up with my sweat, shrunk, glued into a PVC apron and sent off somewhere to suffer as an apron for eternity. Eric knew that Kimmy made PVC aprons because thats how he originally met her was by buying her aprons. In a matter of a few minutes Eric’s lungs had completely filled up with her sweet sweat, now his nose was filling with it, his sinuses filled with it, his whole nose felt like it had been packed with slimy warm snot! Seconds later her sweat bubbled from his nose.
Kimmy stood there, just watching her sweat flood over Eric’s face, starting to drip toward his eyes from his nose. He closed his eyes as her salty sweat began to burn. Kimmy said “As you close your eyes from my sweat making them burn begins the next phase of your journey into an eternity with me.” Eric laid there, his eyes clenched closed, his face shaking in fear. Suddenly he felt a pinch in his neck as Kimmy plunged a small needle into his carotid artery flooding his brain with a special potion. Erics body rumbled on the floor, Kimmy stood over his head watching as his body shrunk to the size of her earring. Kimmy picked Eric up and put his entire head inside of her mouth sucking on his head sucking all of her sweat out of his nose and ripping the tape off of his mouth with the power of her tongue and mouth. She said pulling him out of her mouth “Hmm, I usually eat runts like you, but I think you need to go to a place far worse than being swallowed up, squeezed in my esophagus stuck in my stinky stomach and then compacted in my shit before being flushed away to be forever compacted in shit. Those losers have it pretty easy, they’re just buried alive, they’ll never feel anything but crushing pressure and heat around them in the pit of shit, after a while the stink just disappears, besides with how long they’ve been in my bowels before I shit them out their bodies are long filled with my shit, their noses lungs stomachs every inch of their body is packed with my shit. So they’re used to it by the time they get flushed away to the eternal pit, but you deserve worse. For being sooo attracted to my stinky sweat! I’ve made you immortal and tiny for one reason!” She put Eric into a small jar and turned it upside down over duct tape. She pulled her dress off and went looking for materials in a drawer marked “PLASTIC SHOP ITEMS”
Kimmy found some soft PVC mesh, she grabbed it out of the drawer and picked the bottle up off of Eric, she pushed his body against the mesh and said a few odd words, it gripped his body with a glue like grip and he could barely wiggle against it. Kimmy pulled her dress off and put it on the work table. She unsnapped the chest snaps as much as she could and pulled the sleeve inside out, she found the part that lines up with her underarm and put Eric against it, the mesh fused to the dress instantly. Eric could barely wiggle against the plastic and mesh, he could see through the wet steamy plastic. The smell was beyond disgusting, the taste was even worse. 20 year old sweat trapped in plastic was much worse than the flood of her fresh sweat, this was a rotting congealed mess of fresh sweat mixed with 20 year old gross gluey goo! It was horrifying for poor Eric. He writhed and wiggled as much as he could but knew it was no use as Kimmy slid her plastic dress back on and said another few strange words, suddenly the dress tightened around her, and him. Kimmy said “Ooooh it worked, which means now I get to wear you forever plastic dress!” Eric couldn’t make a sound, his tiny body was smashed beneath her arm into her soft skin, he could feel the soft plastic on his face and body and on his backside he felt her soft smooth skin sticking to him as her sweat poured from it. Kimmy walked around her apartment proudly, grinding her arms against her sides as hard as she could saying “I’ve got a wonderful living dress thats going to live forever that’s indestructible, I’m the happiest girl in the world! It’s so awesome having a piece of clothing that I know is alive and suffering as I wear it, forever!” Eric cried as he was reduced to nothing but part of her dress. He didn’t even have a name anymore, she just kept referring to him as dress. plastic dress. Kimmy wore the dress to sleep, sleeping beneath a heated blanket so she would sweat even more! When she awoke the next day she went to the bathroom and brushed her teeth. Eric could barely see when Kimmy moved her arms enough but he saw she had no shower or tub. Kimmy had no way of even showering or cleaning her body if she wanted to. Slowly the days turned into weeks, her sweat getting nastier with each passing week. Then months turned into years. Kimmy turned into a fat old woman, she landed in a wheelchair and it was horrible for poor Eric because her sweat started changing, it became all salty sour and rancid, the sweetness disappeared from her sweat at her 100th birthday. Eric whimpered but nobody could hear him, worst for him was whenever she used the wheelchair he was ground beneath her arms violently as she moved quickly. It was painful and sweaty and horrifying. Poor Eric will never be freed from her dress, nobody even knows he is in her dress at the nursing home where she will reside for her eternal life as will Eric reside, trapped in her ever worsening stinky armpit!

Light on You - Word of Honor x EZ Studio Official Set 1 (Good Sword)
There were actually two different official Word of Honor fan fig manufacturers back in the day - Tofu, which I blogged about previously and which is more commonly known, and EZ Studio.
The EZ Studio figs were, as I understand it, fairly unpopular in the beginning, and certainly always remained less popular than the Tofu figs.
The heavily stylized art and the marketing seemed to have been the main reasons. Perhaps these just didn't resonate with the Chinese public.
To no one's surprise, they resonated just fine with me. In fact, I actually love these. I enjoy that they look a little different than the rest of my figs, I love Lao Wen's stylized look in particular (his hair, the eyes - gorgeous) and the ombre shading on the costumes is just lovely.
Which is not to say these figs are perfect by any means. I wish each individual set (there are three) was completely specialized instead of re-using the base molding - there's no reason for A-Xu to have his robes drooping off his shoulder in every single fig set, for instance - but I also am not that picky of a buyer where this most beloved TV show is concerned. As long as the fig looks good and makes me happy, it works for me.
A-Xu arrived with all kinds of cool things! We have his straw hat, complete with some errant peach blossoms, and Baiyi at it's bendiest. A-Xu is not, as one might expect, in his hobo disguise (which surely was a strike against it from the more discerning fans), but does have the disguise scar across his face. As much as I, like Lao Wen, vastly prefer A-Xu in his non-disguised form, I would actually have preferred Hobo-Xu here for canon's sake.
A-Xu's hat fits on his head via these pegs that fit into the holes in his head. What's nice is that there's definitely a front and back side, which makes it fit a little more securely. Baiyi is fairly posable - you can kind of tilt it up and down in his hand to position it in front of his face or lower down.
Lao Wen also comes with his white scholar's fan as a separate piece. You might not be able to tell, but that little bendy piece that is supposed to be the handle of the fan is NOT particularly handy. The fan is quite difficult to get to solidly into his hand, and falls out constantly. I should probably put a bit of the Museum Wax in his hand to get it to actually stick.
Here they are! There's a beautiful ombre effect to the robes here that's a little hard to see.
A-Xu has some peach flower blossoms on his robes, which go beautifully with the peach blossoms on his hat. I think Lao Wen looks particularly rakish from this angle!
You can see the peach blossoms even better from this side. I wish we'd gotten Lao Wen's ginkgo hairpin from the first few episodes here instead of this one. I have yet to see that hairpin executed successfully in fig form. One day I'll get it!
It's interesting they have the hair colors reversed here too - in the show A-Xu is the one with pure black hair, with Lao Wen's hair slightly more brown.
The script on the left side (their right feet), translates per MTL as "a literary creation". The roundish writing on the right side is Koitake's branding. You can see their boots and Lao Wen's pants (sorry Lao Wen). I really like how well their boots are detailed on these figs.
The box cards. Oh, that's how Lao Wen is supposed to hold his fan! Oops. It does look much better that way. It probably fits just fine in his hand that way too. Shoot, I haven't looked at these cards in forever. Let me, uh, check that out.
Alright, a bonus extra pic. I realized I also hadn't taken an overhead shot, so it's the perfect opportunity to put his fan in his hand the right way, and showcase the top of A-Xu's perfect head. I was at least gratified to see that I wasn't totally clueless - Lao Wen's little PVC hand doesn't hold his fan any better this way. In fact, it won't stick at all. So, I did end up putting a bit of Museum Wax into his hand, and the fan sticks just fine now.
Material: PVC
Fig Count: 162
Diorama Count: 9
Snowglobe Count: 1
Rating: Perfect as a spring day! And it is a beautiful spring day in the jianghu, isn't it. A perfect spring day to have a drink. A drink on a boat.

WxS Hatsune Miku!!
Sculptor: N/A
Paintwork: N/A
~21cm tall
Manufacturer: SEGA
Material: PVC, ABS
Release Date: April 2022
Original Price: ~27$ (estimate)
A far too long post about this Hatsune Miku figure lol (under the cut)
I got this figure off Amazon from a second hand seller. I bought her with a gift card I got over the holidays so very technically I got her for free! :D Honestly, because of the price I wasn’t expecting much from the figure beyond “cool Hatsune Miku,” and the expectation that her pigtails might fall out (mentioned a lot in the reviews).
I only recently got into Vocaloid beyond the classic songs you’d hear all over the place on youtube in 2012, mostly because of Project Sekai, but also because I live with my brother, who has been obsessed with Vocaloid since he was 10, so they encouraged me to get fully invested.
In general though a lot of Miku figures are super cute, so I’ve always thought about buying one but couldn’t justify it. Until now that is!
The figure’s really cute overall! I love the pose and expression, they translated her design pretty well into figure (though the patterns on her skirt(?) under her dress aren’t there and are instead blocks of color, which is a small thing so it’s fine). The figure came in separate parts, which included her left arm, the bow on her dress, her tail, and her two pigtails.
As I said before, the reviews on the amazon page I got her from mentioned the pigtails would fall out. “Surely they mean when you move her,” I naively thought. But no the pigtails unfortunately are very prone to falling out, due to how shallow the supports are; there’s just not enough to hold them steadily in place, especially against gravity. Her bow also falls out A Lot, because of the same reason but a little more extreme.
My solution to that isn’t exactly great, as if you are in the habit of keeping figures in mint condition while on display, this damages that quit a bit, however I found that using very small balls of sticky tack to secure the removable pieces helps to stabilize them for display (I used small pieces of a kneaded eraser because that’s what I have laying around lol).
Final Thoughts
I’m really happy with her! I think she’s super cute, and I’m glad she’s my first miku figure! Despite the problems with some pieces falling out lol.
Do I recommend this figure?
Yes definitely! I think it’s super good for the price point and who doesn’t want a fun Miku figure?
Where to buy (02/01/2023):
The amazon page I bought from (35.99$)
Big Bad Toy Store(26.99$)
Crunchyroll store (26.99$)
Thanks for reading!

Exploring the Eco-Friendly Aspects of Plastic Cards: A Modern Choice
In a world increasingly focused on sustainability, businesses, and consumers are constantly seeking environmentally friendly alternatives to traditional products. While plastic cards, particularly plastic business cards, have long been associated with negative environmental impacts, advancements in manufacturing and recycling technologies have paved the way for eco-friendly options. This article explores the eco-friendly aspects of plastic cards, how they compare to traditional materials, and why they are a modern choice for businesses.
1. Understanding Plastic Cards
Plastic cards are made from synthetic materials, primarily polyvinyl chloride (PVC), polyethylene terephthalate (PET), and other plastics. Traditionally viewed as a less sustainable option due to their long lifespan and non-biodegradable nature, these cards are now being re-evaluated in the context of modern environmental considerations.
1.1 The Shift in Perception
Historically, the production and disposal of plastic have been criticized for contributing to pollution and waste. However, advancements in production methods have led to the development of eco-friendly plastics that are designed to minimize environmental impact. As a result, many plastic business cards companies are now offering sustainable options that prioritize eco-conscious practices.
2. Eco-Friendly Alternatives in Plastic Card Manufacturing
2.1 Recycled Materials
One of the most significant advancements in the plastic card industry is the use of recycled materials. Many manufacturers are now producing plastic cards from recycled PVC or PET, which reduces the need for virgin materials and conserves resources. This shift not only decreases waste but also lowers the carbon footprint associated with the production process.
Benefits of Recycled Cards: By using recycled materials, manufacturers can help divert plastic waste from landfills and reduce the environmental impact of new plastic production. Cards made from recycled plastics are often just as durable and visually appealing as those made from virgin materials.
2.2 Biodegradable Plastics
Another innovative development is the use of biodegradable plastics in card manufacturing. These materials are designed to break down over time, reducing the long-term environmental impact associated with traditional plastics. Biodegradable options are made from renewable resources, such as cornstarch or other plant-based materials, and can decompose in industrial composting facilities.
Advantages of Biodegradable Cards: When disposed of properly, biodegradable cards can significantly reduce the amount of plastic waste in landfills and oceans. They offer a more sustainable choice for businesses committed to environmental responsibility.
3. The Recycling Process for Plastic Cards
3.1 Importance of Recycling
Recycling plays a crucial role in minimizing the environmental impact of plastic cards. When recycled properly, plastic cards can be transformed into new products rather than contributing to landfill waste. This not only conserves resources but also reduces pollution associated with plastic production.
3.2 Recycling Programs
Many plastic business cards sites are now partnering with recycling programs to encourage proper disposal of plastic cards. These initiatives often provide information on how to recycle cards and may even offer incentives for returning old cards. By promoting recycling, companies can help educate consumers about the importance of responsible disposal.
3.3 Challenges in Recycling
Despite the benefits of recycling, challenges remain in the recycling of plastic cards. Not all recycling facilities accept PVC or other plastic cards due to contamination concerns. To overcome these hurdles, manufacturers and consumers must be proactive in understanding local recycling regulations and finding appropriate disposal methods. By adopting sustainable practices and seeking eco-friendly alternatives, businesses can transform your business cards into a more responsible choice that contributes to a circular economy.
4. Environmental Impact of Plastic Cards Compared to Traditional Options
4.1 Durability and Longevity
One of the advantages of plastic cards is their durability. Unlike paper cards, which can easily tear or become damaged, plastic cards are designed to withstand wear and tear. This longevity means they do not need to be replaced as often, reducing the overall consumption of resources. By choosing durable options, businesses can help minimize their environmental footprint.
4.2 Resource Efficiency
The production of plastic cards can be more resource-efficient compared to traditional paper cards, especially when considering the lifecycle of the products. While paper cards require the harvesting of trees and significant water and energy resources during production, plastic cards, especially those made from recycled materials, can offer a more sustainable alternative.
4.3 Carbon Footprint
Although the production of plastic cards can have a carbon footprint, advancements in manufacturing processes and the use of renewable energy sources are helping to mitigate these impacts. By choosing manufacturers that prioritize sustainable practices, businesses can further reduce their overall carbon footprint associated with plastic card usage.
5. Benefits of Choosing Eco-Friendly Plastic Cards
5.1 Enhancing Brand Image
In an era where consumers are increasingly conscious of environmental issues, opting for eco-friendly plastic cards can enhance a company's image. Businesses that demonstrate a commitment to sustainability are more likely to attract environmentally minded consumers, fostering loyalty and trust.
5.2 Compliance with Environmental Regulations
As governments around the world implement stricter regulations on plastic use and waste management, choosing eco-friendly plastic cards, such as Custom Ribbon Cards, can help businesses comply with these regulations. Staying ahead of regulatory changes not only reduces risk but also positions a company as a leader in sustainability.
5.3 Versatility and Customization
Eco-friendly plastic cards offer the same versatility and customization options as traditional plastic cards. Businesses can still design cards that reflect their brand identity, all while making a positive environmental choice. This allows companies to maintain their marketing efforts without compromising their commitment to sustainability. Custom ribbon cards are a great example of how businesses can combine aesthetics with eco-friendliness.
6. Making the Switch to Eco-Friendly Plastic Cards
6.1 Research and Choose Reputable Manufacturers
When considering the switch to eco-friendly plastic cards, it is essential to research and select reputable manufacturers. Look for companies that prioritize sustainable practices, such as using recycled materials or biodegradable options. Consider options like Go Plastic-Free Cards to support sustainable initiatives.
6.2 Educate Employees and Clients
Educating employees and clients about the benefits of eco-friendly plastic cards is crucial for successful implementation. Providing information on the environmental advantages can encourage acceptance and support for the new cards.
6.3 Monitor and Measure Impact
After making the switch, businesses should monitor and measure the impact of their eco-friendly plastic card usage. This can include tracking the reduction in carbon emissions, resource savings, and improvements in brand perception. Regularly assessing the impact can help businesses stay accountable and refine their sustainability efforts.
Conclusion
The shift towards eco-friendly plastic cards represents a modern choice for businesses looking to balance functionality with environmental responsibility. By opting for recycled or biodegradable materials, organizations can significantly reduce their ecological footprint while still enjoying the advantages of plastic cards. Furthermore, investing in solutions like Fargo printer installation can streamline the production process of these sustainable cards. As the demand for sustainable products continues to rise, embracing eco-friendly options can enhance a company’s brand image and demonstrate a commitment to sustainability, ultimately benefiting both the environment and the bottom line.
Transform your business cards into eco-friendly solutions that resonate with your customers and reflect your dedication to sustainability.

However, to maximize their impact, it's important to implement effective card maintenance. In this article, we will explore everything you need to know about blank plastic business cards, including their benefits, types, customization options, and where to find them.
What Are Blank Plastic Business Cards?
Blank plastic business cards are cards made from high-quality plastic, typically PVC (polyvinyl chloride), which makes them durable, waterproof, and resistant to wear and tear. Choosing Sustainable Key Cards for a Better Tomorrow and Stylish Use
In a world increasingly focused on sustainability, even the smallest items are making a difference. Key cards, once primarily seen as utilitarian objects, are now evolving into eco-friendly solutions that align with environmentally conscious practices. This blog explores the benefits of sustainable key cards, the materials used, and why making the switch is a smart choice for both businesses and individuals.
Understanding Sustainable Key Cards
Sustainable key cards are made from materials that minimise environmental impact. Traditional key cards are typically made from PVC, a plastic that is not biodegradable and often contributes to pollution. In contrast, sustainable key cards utilise materials like recycled plastics, biodegradable substances, or even plant-based options, drastically reducing their carbon footprint.
Why Switch to Sustainable Key Cards?
Switching to sustainable key cards is a proactive choice that reflects a commitment to environmental stewardship. For businesses, it demonstrates corporate social responsibility and appeals to a growing demographic of eco-conscious consumers. For individuals, it’s a simple yet effective way to contribute to a greener planet.
The Benefits of Sustainable Key Cards
Environmental Impact: By opting for sustainable key cards, you help decrease plastic waste and pollution. Traditional plastic cards can take hundreds of years to decompose, while eco-friendly alternatives are designed to break down more quickly or are made from recycled materials.
Brand Image: Businesses that adopt sustainable practices can significantly enhance their brand image. Consumers are increasingly drawn to brands that prioritise sustainability, making eco-friendly key cards not just a practical choice but a strategic marketing move.
Cost-Effectiveness: While some sustainable materials may have a higher upfront cost, the long-term benefits often outweigh the initial investment. Many sustainable key cards are durable and require less frequent replacement, leading to savings over time.
Innovation and Customisation: The eco-friendly key card market is ripe with innovation. Many companies offer customisable options that allow businesses to design cards that reflect their brand identity while adhering to sustainable practices. This includes unique colours, designs, and textures that make each key card stand out.
Materials Used in Sustainable Key Cards
Sustainable key cards can be made from various eco-friendly materials, including:
Recycled Plastics: These cards are manufactured using post-consumer waste, such as discarded plastic bottles. This not only reduces plastic waste but also conserves resources by utilising materials that would otherwise end up in landfills.
Biodegradable Materials: Some key cards are crafted from biodegradable plastics or materials like cornstarch. These cards break down in composting conditions, minimising their environmental impact.
Wood and Bamboo: For a unique aesthetic, some companies offer key cards made from wood or bamboo. These materials are renewable and add a natural touch that can enhance the brand’s appeal.
Paper-Based Options: While not as durable as plastic, paper key cards can be coated for extra protection and are fully recyclable. They serve well for short-term use, such as event passes or temporary access cards.
