masterlist!
• So much running
• Running along ships, running to catch ships, running for your life—
• Mostly that last one if you were being honest
• The both of you had been running side by side for as long as either of you could remember
• You had met Jack many moons ago when you had been nothing but a dishwasher at a bar in Tortuga—mopping floors and blood up with no purpose in life. No direction whatsoever
• He changed that
• Ever since that night, the two of you chatting it up at a bar over one too many bottles of rum, nothing had been able to separate you
• Not even Davy Jones's locker
• In his absence, as you called it (you refused to believe Jack could be gone forever), you had been the one working tirelessly to retrieve the chart to the other side. The one to take charge of what was left of The Pearl's crew. And most certainly the one who missed him the most, although you preferred not to let anyone in on that last bit
• When you finally laid eyes upon him against the sandy shores of every pirates worst life after death, you couldn't stop yourself from throwing yourself at him with joy
• He was just as happy to see you
• "And you're sure they're not courting each other Gibbs?" William Turner had asked at the time, his brows furrowing as he watched Jack embrace you.
• "Aye." The first mate had nodded in Williams' direction as the two of them watched the pirates, both talking too fast for anyone to keep up with. Not like anyone was ever able to understand them anyway. "Well, not yet at least."
• The upside to coming along the journey to Davy Jones locker was that you got to see Jack again
• The downside was that you almost killed Elizabeth when he revealed she had been the reason for his death
• It took both Tia Dalma and Ragetti to calm you down after that
• "Pull anything like that again blondie—" Your sword was centimeters away from slicing into her neck as you glared at her, gaze filled with fire, "—and I will see to it myself that you stay here and take his place instead."
• "Oooh, I've definitely missed you, love." Jack grinned, twirling a peice of his hair around his finger as he watched you threaten her on his behalf
• "Be quiet, Jack. I'm trying to put the fear of Calypso in her."

Can I please have potc x Fem reader seeing and kissing her scars with Jack, Carina, Henry, Angelica, Will, and Elizabeth? 🥺
Jack sparrow🍺
You hated looking at your scars. The previous battles have been the turmoil for you; sometimes, whilst you bathed in the crews quarters using nothing but a bucket and rag. You ran your hand along your soft skin; feeling the crimson wounds, you winced at the sight.
Sighing to yourself, you placed the white, mucky, loose linen blouse over you, tightening the strings to fit you. As you were tucking your blouse into your pantaloons, you heard a sound emit from behind.
You heard the small wooden door creak open, using your wit—knowing what the Jack tar's intentions are—your fingers wrapped around the wooden flintlock pistols trigger. "Lest yer ere' fer a' chewin' fat, I ain't take kindly ta pyrin' deadlight's savvy."
Once the sound came closer, your thumb pulled the cock back, holding the hammer back into a spring tension preparing to fire. Once you hear the bilge rat coming through, reaching out to pull back the elongated make shift silks, stolen from plundered merchant ships.
Standing in position toward the make shift curtain, your hair draping wet, you hold the flintlock's muzzle end in front of you.
As the curtain draped back, you pushed the flintlock's muzzle end toward the rapscallion's prow.
"So we meet again, old friend," you heard a familiar voice.
"Whaddya' want Jack, I ain't in tha mood if ye be runnin' a rig." You slurred with annoyance.
"Not the first time someone's tried to shoot me." He hoisted his hands in the air mockingly, making gestures with every word.
"And it'll certainly be yer last," you pointed the muzzle beneath his chin.
You were always known for being tough. However, the scars you bared represented your vulnerability.
Once Jack's eyes had caught sight of your shoulder, his hand trailed up your arm until he reached the crimson wound, his fingers pressed gently against your shoulder, squeezing it almost.
"I know it hurts—love. You act tough for all the wrong reasons. Your no man-o-war, mate, showing emotion ain't a bad thing from time to time; having a room to yourself, letting yourself hang tha jib for tears to shed—is a release. I've seen the scars, I've bared em' me'self." He gently pulled the fabric down, revealing the trauma that you hid.
You lowered the flintlock's muzzle end. He wasn't wrong. He wasn't shying away. The scars you bared were a part of you now, Jack knew.
Jack came closer—you didn't stop him—you allowed him to. He lowered the blouses fabric further down your arm, seeing you right side nearly bare, covered in scars and marks.
"Y'look beautiful darlin'," he remarked.
You could feel your face flushing with embarrassment. You weren't used to having anyone complementing you before.
His face came closer, feeling his hot breath against your skin. He gently pressed his rough lips against your shoulder; the scent of rum, smoke, and body odour filled your nostrils.
Your gaze falls to him, softening at the sight. Your left hand rose slowly to gently touch the back of his head.
"Jack—why—" you uttered.
"—Why not, you should show em off more darlin', after all, why try and hide yourself." Jack continued."I'm all there, and here, everyone sees something their not proud of, but I own it and don't regret it".
"Well, half of it."
You grabbed your frock coat, the coat nearly reaching over your shoulders.
That was until Jack's words stuck out to you. Jack, as cheeky as he is, had a point. He made you feel strong.
Your fingers released the fabric of the frock coat and let it fall to the ground. "Thank ye Jack."
He smiled, placing a finger to his temple and then down like a salute. "Aye."
Carina ⭐️
A young woman with wavy, raven hair cheerfully trailed up the stairs of orphanage carefully, trying not to trip over her blue round-gown within the English countryside. She was barely 20, yet she was far more mature than her fellow friends.
"I've found it y/n, I've found it!" Carina says excitedly.
You, draped in a white shift with a floral stay over the top whilst a pannier was placed below your hips, ran a porcaline brush through your hair made of silver.
"Carina, you know the rules. We can't sneak out. Lest we wish to be lashed from Mr Conway." You say looking in the chipped mirror.
The room was rather small, with only twenty wooden bunk beds shared within a line reaching the upper and lower end of the bricked room.
"Oh, don't worry about that, I'll take the blame for you." She said excitedly in a fast paced tone.
"Look—" she pulls out of her pocket, tied around her waist from beneath her skirt, a clock, a chronometer.
"This, this will help me measure what I need to find," she says with confidence.
You turned your head rather muddled by her words. "A what?." You furrowed your brows.
Carina scurried toward her bunk to find beneath it a book, a brown journal with strange markings on the outside with what appeared to be a crimson gem planted in the middle.
"Sailors have often measured latitude through celestial navigation. However, with the chronometer, I now have access to determine the longitude—" she opens the brown journals cover to read upon the constellations within it.
"Wait, Carina, slow down, you speak of madness," you turned yourself on the wooden stool.
"I can't—I won't—not if it's going toward what my father wanted. After all, he left me this." she raised the brown book up excitedly. "The diary of Galileo Galilei, left for me whilst I was only a babe."
"Your mind wanders too far, Carina, drift to reality where you're safe; where we have a roof over our head, and food we're fed." You reassure. However, it appears your words aren't getting through to her.
"I know he wants me to follow the map; to follow the stars." Her eyes are full of faith, looking to the sky, as if she belongs in the heavens.
"Carina, how would you know where that map leads? Tis rather bold of you to assume you have leverage when you don't have a ship, nor even a proper navigator." You warned her. "They'll think you mad to speak of this profoundly."
"I have studied maps before, I've read books, I know the first telescope was invented by Hans Lippershey." She said, "Galileo Galilei had only enhanced for the heaven's—"
"Carina, please, speak no more—" your head lowered as you spoke with a dispirited expression. Your shift started to lower exposing your shoulders, she could see the remaining scars from the lashings you endured. Carina remembered that she had gotten caught for sneaking out along with you and James. Mr Conway had sneeringly taken you around the back to have you punished by the whip.
Carina hadn't forgotten your screams, the crack of the whip slashing against your skin, leaving baring, red, crimson scars.
She trailed up closely, her raven, wavy hair dangling over her chest as she brung you into a hug from behind. Her soft, pinkish lips softly pressed against your skin.
Your hand raised to meet Carina's.
She felt your pain. She was grateful for your sacrifice, and she regrets it at the same time.
"I promise, I won't leave you behind. Once I know which stars to follow, they'll guide me to my destination." She reassured, leaning further into your grasp.
"Your father?" You asked.
"You," she concluded.
Henry🌊
Henry sat at the forecastle at the bow of the ship, overlooking the bowsprit, pointing toward the direction of the night sky. The wind blew through his light brown hair, reaching his cheek. He looked through the spy glass, keeping an eye out for any sign of land.
You, wearing a white, ruffle poet shirt with a baggy, brown, striped pantaloon, climbed the stairs leading to the forecastle. The wind was rather mild but enough to keep moving dead ahead. The sea breezes gale, blew through your clothes, causing the fabric to blow in the wind.
Henry turned to see you. He pushed the spyglass into a closing position. With the glint in his eye, he said excitedly, "Keep a weather eye on that horizon."
"Aye, Henry, are ye certain, ye know where he have our headin" you say loudly.
"Of course, I'm confident we'll soon reach our destination." The confidence in his grin was rather callow, you knew young sailors like him, ambitious and prideful, had no idea of what horrors laid ahead, the danger.
"Henry, ye aren't like yer father, ye ave' no experience bein' a Jack tar, ye've only seen the brighter side." You interjected.
"I am a sailor, I've sailed before." He protested.
"Bein, a navy's man, and a pirate be two different things, lad."
He furrowed his eyebrows. "You needn't worry y/n, I'll save my father, and I'll free him from the dutchman."
Your words were stilled. Had you said another, it would only end up going in a circle. Instead, you pulled down the sleeve of your blouse, exposing your shoulder.
Henry stared in disbelief—his eyes caught sight of a crimson scar going down your shoulder. "This is what happens when ye end up in a crossfire, battlin' tha dead in a man-o-war."
"You were—"
"Aye, I was caught, tied ta tha mast and flogged fer survivin', Salazar be a cruel beast if ye cross him, yer lucky ta be alive lad, don't go chasin' dreams that'll end yer in fiddlers green." You warned him.
"I'm sorry to hear—" His voice quietened.
Henry, gripping the rope from the aft mast, headed your way. Instead of speaking, his lips touched your soft skin.
Your eyes softly drooped as he pressed his lips against your skin. It comforted you to know he understood. "I won't that same mistake, I swear y/n." He sounded determined.
"Aye, I just ain't wantin' ta see ya dead." You said, placing a hand on his shoulder.
"And you won't."
Angelica👢
In the first mate's quarters, Angelica slipped off her baldric, holding her rapier. She cursed under her breath after trying to chart the unknown waters for the fountain of youth. She had managed to gain a heading for white cap bay, yet the ingredients for the fountain were still missing.
She suddenly turned, her heel positioned in a fighting stance, preparing to shoot whom may enter.
Upon the sight of your face in the dark, she lowered the flintlock, placing it back in the holster. The expression in your eyes was as if you've seen it all.
Angelica—having found a saviour in her beacon of peril since Jack had left her at the altar—softened her eyes, knowing exactly what had happened.
"Mi amor, Lamento no haber podido protegerte, amo a mi padre pero—en ese momento quise detenerlo—sé que no podía, él se enteraría y te lastimaría aún más." She was said conflicted between the love of her father and you.
(My love, I'm sorry i couldn't protect you, i love my father but—in that moment, i wanted to stop him—i know i couldn't, he'd find out and hurt you even more)
You didn't speak. Instead, you turned, showing your torn clothes exposing your bare back.
She whispered in a hush "Oh Dios." Her smooth, pale finger traced along the crimson streaks along your bleeding back.
"You are not a bounded concubine to my father. you're mine. Your body is not his to destroy and wreck, " she said in English.
You recalled the day he pillaged a small village in Spain, he burnt every house and hut that was in the port. You were found inside a small hut. The first mate dragged you by the hair to the captain.
He inspected you, placing the tips of his fingers beneath your chin. Something in his eyes sparked desire. "You, my dear, have two choices, either stay here and perish with your brethren or—shall ye say live as my bride."
Your expression wretched with disdain. He comes to murder your village, burning it to the ground, expecting you to suddenly jump at the sight of lust. Not to mention he was twice your age.
"I'll never bow my head to the likes of you." You said through gritted teeth.
"Very well, if that's what you decide," he sarcastically glanced to his first mate. "You shall we, she say, cut her deep and spill her blood."
The huge, zombified first mate's cutlasses, silver blade edged at your neck as blood trinkled down. Panicking you retracted your statement. "I submit, I submit!"
His aging, calloused hand raised in the air mockingly. "So, it seems that fate has brought a new light to you" his deep, clear, coarse voice spoke loudly.
"You will live to serve me and, in doing so, have no belaying in your words." He threatens in a calm manner.
From then on, you lived as his concubine, serving him in this endless cycle. Until, Angelica came along and showed kindness.
As she traced her fingers along your back. Her lips softly pressed against your back. You winced, feeling her wet, soft lips sting your skin.
"Angelica—" you softly muttered.
"I'll promise to protect you."
Will🏴☠️
You were trying to protect will from Jones. You knew he had risked his life coming here to get the key for the dead man's chest and save Elizabeth Swann from being hanged.
Jack tricked you, having you look over Turner in payment for Bootstrap Bill's request his son be safe.
Will and you have known each other since childhood. You were as thick as thieves.
As Will made a mistake on board the Dutchman, you decided to take the blame. Having Maccus give you a flogging.
All that was left was the crimson scars that trickled red from the cat of nine tails.
You winced in pain, heading over to the crews quarters covered in barnacles and coral. The room dripped wet as you had your bare back exposed; as the salt water dripped onto your wounds, it stung like no tommorow.
Will just so happened to enter the crews quarters to check up on you. He quietly whispered, "y/n, you didn't have to do that for me, I won't have you risking your life for my own."
You smiled at Will. "Tis alright, Will, I ave' thick skin it'll heal."
Will wander closer to you, touching your hand. "No, it's not, you're wounded, I can see it in your eyes you're in pain."
"Bah! Tis a pirate's Turner, we get take what we can get and give nothing back." You said trying to act tough.
Will's eyes softened. He knew you were trying to act tough for the sake of not making him feel guilty.
You tore off a piece of your blouse. Dabbing the fabric on your back to soak up the blood. There was a spot you couldn't reach, Will stepped in.
"Here, allow me." he grabbed the fabric, pressing it against your back.
You winced. However, your eyes lingered at Will.
Gently Will caressed your skin. "I never got to tell you, how thankful I was for meeting you, for being there for me."
"I want to do the same for you," he muttered, leaning his head to your back, pressing his lips against it. You closed your eyes, feeling the stinging and wetness of the kiss.
He trailed down and slowly stopped, his head backing away.
"Thank you, Will," you said, smiling softly.
"I promise to free you, I'll get the key and find the chest, and maybe then—we can send Jack our regards." Will turned and left swiftly. leaving you in the crews quarters.
Elizabeth 🦢
You were the chambermaid for Elizabeth Swann, the Govener's daughter. You and Elizabeth had grown up together since your sister Estella had joined.
You normally snuck in her room, just to have conversations with her.
Over time, as you couldn't help but dream of a life outside of your own, to be free—to be a pirate.
Unfortunately, everything has a price. Upon the kidnapping of Miss Swann, you strived to protect her at any cost.
In this, you fought Barbossa with all you could. However, in the process, it left you scars from the scratch of his sword.
As Elizabeth was locked up with you in the captains quarters. She began to try and use the gown's silk to patch the wounds.
"I'm sorry y/n, I know you were trying to protect me." Elizabeth said in a hush.
You muttered, "It's ok, I'm your maid it's what I do—you and I are alike and—unfortunately—pirates are apart of the deal."
She leaned gently forward, pressing her soft lips to your back. She had feelings for you. She loved you from the moment of your childhood—aside from Will.
"I promise we will get out of this, Will will find us, and the navy." You said.
Elizabeth looked down, knowing she didn't want to marry the commodore but you instead.
"Indeed...although... I think I've chosen where my heart lies" she whispered.
You smiled softly, knowing what she had in mind.
You both stood in the captains quarters in each other's arms, in silence, waiting for Will to rescue the both of you—along with Jack.

the captain and the witch
Summary - he thought he could have it all, but it left him lonely. He sees the similarities between him and Jones starting to grow, and it pains him.
Author’s note: Yes i based these headcanons off this song! Yes I still love this character and always thinks he deserves better.
It seemed perfect to him! All the praise and glory back in his hands until Jones interferes as always.
Capturing you was a side quest, a means to taunt the goddess Calypso with her kinsmen, but one that Norrington greatly objected to given the cruel nature of it
James was drawn to you for the obvious reasons — your immortality, power, the history you shared with the Sea herself but you looked at him with such a disdain it got to him. Easily.
Still, it compelled him in the short few days you had together when he came by your “quarters”, either to drop off food for you or seek information.
Every word, be it a taunt at him or the blasé nature of yours in withholding, still kept him hooked as if it was your siren’s song.
You thought it annoying at first how this mortal man kept coming back to your cell. Does he wish to taunt you? But it becomes more than that.
He amused you. Very few cared what you had to say back then and now, except for him. Maybe he was try to be empathetic (or just liked the sound of his own voice), but you slowly began to tolerate him. Small accounts here and there, bits and pieces of life stories that fit like puzzles. Though it was humorous at seeing his eyes widen when you told the ancient tales of your life, you appreciated the images conjured by his life story.
Even though it made you feel sad and somewhat pity him.
James didn’t think it was anything serious until he heard you say his name. It rolled so flawlessly off your tongue, and it coursed through his body.
Was it your old magicks or the realization that something more had grown between you two?
When the crew of the Pearl had been captured and placed with you, they recognized you from the tales and stories used to scare others.
Call it an alliance of convenience when you escape, but before you flee The Dutchman, James catches you with the rest.
If this is goodbye, then it was a treasured time he does not regret. James knows it’s too late for him, but he can’t help but pause at your offer as you hold your hand out to him.
“Leave with me. Join me. I’m taking my life back. Will you do the same?”
Still, you deserve better, with or without him. The kiss goodbye catches you off guard before he sends you past the railing to the safety of the ocean.
You feel the life of him slip away when you hit the waters. It’s a sharp pain that leaves you gasping for air.
You want to see him again, uttering a meek offering to whatever deities of yours still reside in the oceans. Prayers mixed with the bitterness of what possibilities were taken from you.
“You foolish, idiotic caring man…” 💔
After the end of Jones’s defeat and the pirate world is freed for now, you dare to hope and reunite with James aboard the Dutchman.
Whoever heard your demand, you’re thankful to him. Part of the Dutchman, part of the crew, his eyes meet yours across the waters with that soft smile you looked forward to.
Despite the rivalry he once had with Turner, there’s a newfound appreciation he has for it. Because when Will crosses that shore, it’s for Elizabeth.
When James crosses it, you’re there for him. Fear of abandonment no longer exists in that hollow chest of his, and when the curse is lifted, you two will be together again.
“I found you.” “Can’t get rid of me that easily now, can you?”

General POV.
Elizabeth stood on a dry piece of land in the cave looking at a few pieces of gold.
Jack however was throwing all kinds of treasure around looking for good pieces to bring.
Rose walked over to Elizabeth and gave her a tight hug.
'I'm so sorry for everything' Elizabeth said softly
'I'm the one giving you a death scare' Rose said smiling.
'I love you Elizabeth. you're my best friend. I would do it all over just for you' Rose said as she took Elizabeth in another tight hug.
'You know before we went off to the Black Pearl.
And you were already down in the dinghy. Your father came to the captain's quarters.
He sat in front of the door. Telling us how proud he is.
On me for trying to save you.
But he thought it was good of you to say yes to the proposal.'
'Of course he would say that' Elizabeth said softly smiling watching Will.
'But he also said that sometimes the most ideal decision, can be a really bad decision when made with bad reasons' Rose said softly while brushing a hair behind Elizabeth's ear.
'He loves you any how Lizzy..
Not only when you marry Norrington'
Rose wiped the tear of Elizabeth's face.
Rose saw Will coming.
'I'll leave you two alone.' Rose said softly and walked off towards Jack.
'Jack' Rose said as she walked up to him.
'Rose' Jack exclaimed having all kinds of gold around his neck. And walked over to her.
Rose gave him a slap in the face.
'Dying!? Really you gave me the biggest scare of my life!' Rose said tears in her eyes.
Jack snickerd.
'Love. I didn't enjoy seeing you die either' he smirked
Which made Rose smile back at him.
He brushed his fingers over her cheeks.
'I wouldn't mind tho. Being Immortal with you' Jack said a bit softer.
Rose smirked looking up to him. And before she knew it Jack had filled the gap between their lips again. His arm in this small of her back. He did stab her on accident with the gold chandelier he was holding. But that was soon forgotten.
Rose laid her arms around his neck and deepened the kiss with Jack.
'We should return to the Dauntless.' Elizabeth said softly towards Will.
'Your fiancé will be wanting to know you're safe. ' Will replied.
Elizabeth nodded softly and walked away towards the dinghy's
'Really Will!' Rose said behind him.
Her hands up.
'if you were waiting for the opportune moment' Jack said
'That was it' Rose and Jack said at the same time.
'Now, I'd be much obliged if you'd drop me off at my ship!' Jack said smiling at Rose.
Rose knew she couldn't go with Jack. But he told her to write to Tortuga and he would collect her letters.
When they were on the dinghy rowing towards the open sea.
The Black Pearl was nowhere to be found.
'I'm sorry Jack' Rose said softly laying a hand on his shoulder.
'They done what's right by them. Can't expect more than that.' Jack said laying his hand on mine.
When they were hovered above the Dauntless. Jack got cuffed and taken towards the brig.
'Do I really need to tell you that he is a new man now..' Rose said towards Norrington.
'He might be Rosemary.
But this time he already got wat he wanted and the only he now has in his future are the gallows. So he will try to escape.
And now I don't want to hear anything about it anymore okay?' Norrington said as he stormed off.
'Its okay love' Jack mouthed towards Rose. As they took him below deck.
Rosemary's POV
'And now you two' Norrington said towards me and Will
He looked over towards Will.
'I will be letting these charges go if. You will never ever will try to steal a ship from us again. And go off on your own. This is still Royal Navy duty. Not just the duty of an Black smith and a tailor.'
'Do we have an understanding' Norrington said towards us. With a small smile.
'Thankyou Commodore ' Will and I both said.
'Now out of my sight!' Norrington said and we went below deck.
I heard the guards planning the hanging of Jack right were Will and I both sat.
I looked at him with tears in my eyes. And he came closer to me and laid an arm around my shoulders.
'I think I have a plan' Will said softly
'Lets talk about it when we get back. Now go get some sleep and check on Elizabeth' Will said as she pushed me up.
'I'll check on Jack and thank him for everything. ' I nodded and smiled at Will.
I walked up to deck and walked over to the captain's quarters were Elizabeth sat on a dining chair.
'Oh Rose!
I'm so sorry.. I couldn't do anything for Jack.' I smiled at Elizabeth.
'You can't help it Liz.
But thank you ' I said genuine towards Elizabeth. and gave her a kiss on her cheek.
'Now please.. Lets do something about that hair. Cause It's a real mess.' I said giggling towards Elizabeth.
'I thought you'd never ask!' Elizabeth said
When back in Port Royal.
The normal life started again.
Will was busy making lots of new material cause lots had been damaged in the last fights.
And I was busy tailoring all the dresses for the hanging of Jack. It made my heart ache.
But I couldn't help it. I made a promise to Norrington.
For Elizabeth I made a new dress without a tight corset. But with an under burst corset. So That Elizabeth would be able to breath way more.
The dress I made for myself was way more handy.
It was an dark green color. It was a tight dress but the back was long and wavy. There was a ribbon on the back of it.
I made the fabric thinly sown together.
So that if I ripped at the bow hard enough it would rip the heavy skirt of the dress down leaving me with just the corset of the dress.
I made the dress a bit shorter then usual. Because I wouldn't be wearing heels but flat boots.
The hips of the dress were broad so I could actually hide my sword and gun in there around my waist.
I also made an outfit for Will. I made him an amazing hat with feathers. And a nice suit to wear to the hanging.
He thought it would be way to much. But It would be way easier to notice him in the scene of people and I could follow him towards Jack.

Hi love here I come with my first spontaneous idea 🩷
Reader is the Commodore's sister but sick of the ways of society. When Jack saves Elisabeth, reader is the one who persuaded James not to kill Jack and also the one he happens to threat in order to escape. She’s somehow drawn to the Captain and later gives Will the keys to the cell to set him free. Jacks thoughts circle around her, too and they reunite when she swings last minute from the Dauntless over to the Interceptor to join the pirates making way❣️
Curious of The Seas
A/N: Literally fell in love with your ask oh my god, couldn't stop thinking about it before I began writing!! Thank you so much for this request! Pairings: Jack Sparrow x F!Reader, Will Turner x F!Reader (Platonic), James Norrington x F!Reader (siblings)
"Don't slouch, stand straight," Commodore Norrington hissed at you. You glared at your brother, curving your lips downward. You hated how strict and loyal he was to the British Crown and how he enforced his rules onto you, despite being his "precious baby sister."
Your brother didn't hate you, but he sure did a good job of making you hate him. He was pacing his quarters back and forth, rehearsing what he would say to Miss Elizabeth Swann upon meeting her. You rolled your eyes at the pathetic scene, realizing that if your brother were to marry Miss Swann you were next on the list for the most eligible bachelorette in Port Royal. Your body cringed at the thought and you wriggled your back to shake off the eerie feeling crawling down your spine and focused on trying to ease your brother at the moment.
"James, there is no point in stressing over something as simple as this. Tell her you are in love with-" You began but frowned when he interjected,
"Love? Don't be ridiculous!"
"So, you're not in love with her?" You inquired, raising an eyebrow.
"No, no, I very much am in love with her. But it is not proper for a man such as myself to say trivial things to the daughter of the Governor!" Your brother reasoned and you sighed in an exasperated tone, shifting your gaze out the window.
Elizabeth had stared at you with a quizzical look on her face when your brother and you had first approached her. You both shared the same expression of disdain for the situation. It was very clear to see that she was indifferent to your brother and surely was the very last man that she had any interest for. You, on the other hand, dearly loved your brother and wanted to save him from any heartache that she would cause him. You chewed your lip nervously, watching them exchange a few words of greetings before walking away. The commodore glanced over his shoulder, mouthing a few warnings to reign your behavior in for the biggest moment of his life before stalking away.
Huffing in annoyance, you picked the ends of your dress up and marched past the Governor who was just about to start a conversation with you. He awkwardly shut his mouth and watched you walk away to stand on the other corner of the pillar where your brother and Elizabeth stood. He leaned backward to get a good look at you, sending you another glare before returning his full attention to the woman in front of him with a nervous smile. You sighed, gazing out to the sea. Your brother had taken you once beyond Port Royal when you were a little girl and he swore it was something he very much regretted; all you could ever do since then was talk about sailing the seas. You desired to travel across the world, collect artifacts, and live a free life. Your brother scoffed at your desires, stating that he would rather die than see his little sister galloping around like a pirate of all creatures.
As you gazed out into the horizons with a look of yearning, you heard the loudest splash from below. Peering over the edges of the wall, you frowned at the ripples that seemed to bloom near the rocks and you instantly pulled back from your position and walked around to notice your brother screaming Elizabeth's name.
"What did you do?" You exclaimed, resting a hand on his shoulder. He pulled away from your grasp, beginning to take his coat off but you grabbed hold of him,
"The rocks, James! She's lucky that she didn't hit them on her way down! Come, we can reach her at the docks!" You urged him, yanking his arm. He seemed instilled with distraught, at a loss for words, "She must've jumped by your mere presence!"
Your brother sent you a nasty scowl and the playful smirk on your lips faded away instantaneously. You knew this was no joking matter; the poor woman could've died on her way down and she was to be betrothed to him anyway. As your brother scampered off with the rest of the guards, you found your feet rooted to the ground as you stared up at the sky. Something was amiss. The clouds darkened and circled about gravely, and the sea no longer held its silky blue blanket to comfort you. Before you could try and comprehend what must've occurred, you felt an urgent tug around your arms and you sharply turned to find yourself facing the Governor.
"Come now, my dear, you mustn't dawdle around when my daughter's life is in danger!" He exclaimed and you frowned at his words, resisting the urge to roll your eyes at him. Even if you wanted to help Elizabeth, there was surely no way you could swim into the waters with this puffy dress around you. You followed him down to the docks, pushing past the British officers to find yourself facing Elizabeth coughing up heaps of water from her lungs and then... a pirate.
With all the rifles surrounding him, you nearly thought they were aimed at your brother who stood in the way. You could only make out half his face, oblivious to the ensuing conversation that your brother was currently engaged in. You peeked around the Commodore's shoulder, carefully eyeing the strange man in your presence when his eyes flickered over to you for a sharp second before returning to your brother. Your breath hitched at the moment, taking in his disheveled and wet appearance as your brother remained as the shield between the man and you.
"He's a pirate," Your brother growled, his jaw clenching as he barked orders for his arrest. He ignored your gaping stare as he continued, "Sparrow, I assume?"
"Jack Sparrow?" You interjected, your mouth practically on the floor as you stared at him. The corner of the pirate's lips curved into a small smirk,
"It's Captain Jack Sparrow, love," He smiled with a wink. You smiled back before your brother forcefully shoved you behind him once again. He made a mental note to have a discussion with you about your behavior as soon as you returned home. He took the pirate's belongings and derided him for his lack of proper weapons, but it bothered him so deeply that you were so enchanted by the man. It irked him to think that his sister would fall foolish to a PIRATE of all people. He forcefully grabbed onto Jack's arm and began dragging him off before you cut him off,
"James! James!" You cried out, and your brother halted in his tracks and sent you a menacing scowl.
"Not another word from you, (Y/N)." He hissed, and you scoffed before pulling your skirt up ever so slightly to march up to your brother,
"This man, pirate or not, has just saved your betrothed's life! I suggest you at least show some mercy upon him!"
"One good deed is not enough to redeem a man's life of wickedness," Your brother corrected you as Jack was being handcuffed by a Redcoat.
"Though it seems enough to condemn him," Jack added, and you offered him a sympathetic look before turning to your brother with pleading eyes.
"Brother, please. I beg of you, consider an alternative for this man." You prodded him, as your eyes fell onto Elizabeth who smiled softly at your words.
"Please do so," Jack muttered, before dragging his bound hands around your neck. You gasped in response, tugging at the chains as your brother panicked.
"No one shoots!" The Commodore bellowed, holding his hands in the air, "Let go of my sister."
"Only if you return my belongings," Jack taunted with a haughty grin. He leaned closer to lowly utter into your ears, "You must be regretting your kindness, do you not?"
"I don't, but it seems that you'll regret it," You whispered, as you watched the guards hand in his belongings in a bundle. Jack nudged your back with his knee ever so lightly to grab hold of his things and you begrudgingly did so, before sharply turning around to face him.
"Now if you'll do me the pleasure... my, I don't think I know your name..." He said with a sly smirk. You frowned at him,
"It's Miss Norrington to you," You spat, placing his hat on. As you placed his sword, belt, and other personnel around him, you could feel his intense stare burning deep into you. If it was of lust or attraction, you did not know and at the moment did not necessarily care. Your mind was fixated on other things, and your brother was seething in rage as he watched Jack give him a look regarding your body against his that made him want to hurl. To think his sister was so close to a gruesome pirate! It was preposterous!
As you tied the last remaining string of his belt around him, you looked up at him with disgust. Not only was he a pirate, but this would be the talk of the town, and your brother's and your reputation would be spoiled. Your brother could easily regain his good fortune, but you were never as lucky. You hated the way the women would gossip and to think it was all spoiled over one man you decided to be too merciful with because your curiosity could not be controlled made you ready to commit arson.
"Is this how you repay me?" You hissed and the pirate smirked at your words,
"I saved your friend's life, and now you save me. Besides, you did after all wish for me to live. Now, suffer those consequences. When shall a beautiful lady such as yourself realize to never mess with a pirate?" He chuckled, before harshly turning you around with his gun aimed at your head. Your brother flinched at the sudden movement, making sure you were alright.
"Ladies and gentlemen, you will always remember this as the day you almost caught Jack Sparrow," The pirate's voice boomed from behind you and the very next second you found yourself thrust upon your brother and Elizabeth. As Jack Sparrow hurriedly began his escape, he did not fail to include a personal message from his heart, "Thank you very much, Miss Norrington. I shall not ever forget such kindness!"
And you weren't ready to forget him, either. It would be for another reason. As the night raged on with a surge of pirates infiltrating Port Royal, you felt a growing desire to do something about it. Your brother had joined the Governor for his safety and left you at home to be tended to by the maids. Upon realizing that the front door would burst open regardless of the circumstances, you quietly slipped out the window in your nightly attire and made your way to the blacksmith's quarters where you knew for a fact that your good friend Will Smith would be. Will and you had grown as siblings; he was there for you more than your brother had been. He had anticipated your arrival anyway but found himself in jeopardy when his ears gathered the news that Elizabeth Swann had been abducted by the pirates. He was pacing around when you arrived and he quickly latched onto your shoulders,
"They've taken Elizabeth! I tried my best but-" Will began but you silenced him, bringing a hand to his mouth.
"I know what you must be going through. But there is not enough time. I heard you helped imprison Jack Sparrow." You whispered and he nodded his head, eyes wide as he tried to make the best of the situation, "Come, I have the key with me, we can both interrogate him and seek his help." Your hand fell to his own and led him towards the streets.
"Wait a minute," Will stopped you, and with a glance over your shoulder you already knew what he was about to say. He was going to prevent you from going. "(Y/N), I know you've always wished to escape Port Royal, but I cannot bring harm to you once you step foot onto the waters."
"Will," You chastised him, "I am no longer a little girl. I am very capable of handling my own matters."
"You are inexperienced, that's all I can say." Will rebuked your claim and you gasped at his words, before furrowing your brows,
"So are you!"
"Ah, but I shall be bringing Sparrow with me to help find Elizabeth."
"Oh, don't be so dull! I can help Sparrow and you as well. Do not prevent me from doing so! If it is out of fear that a pirate may do something towards a woman of my status, I assure you that no such thing will occur! If he dares to even look at me, I shall see to it that his eyes are gouged out by his blade!" You reasoned and Will took a step backwards, his lips parting in shock at your words. You had the spirit of a pirate in you that was for sure, and that was exactly what he feared.
"I cannot let you join. Your brother is... already facing loss," He replied in an awkward tone, considering how much he cared about Elizabeth, "He would be devasted to find you gone as well. Just stay put for now. I'm sure there shall be something more exciting for you in Port Royal."
You muttered a few unladylike curses under your breath and reluctantly offered him the key to the jail cell, "At least tell Sparrow that I was... delighted by his presence."
Will raised a suspicious eyebrow at your remark, unsure of how to respond. He nodded his head and then left you alone, as you brought your hands over your arms as your mind wandered towards the sea once again.
To say that Jack Sparrow was surprised by Will's statement regarding you would be an understatement. He couldn't wrap his head around the fact that you so willingly offered him the key to his escape, considering how he had humiliated your brother and especially you in front of everyone at the docks earlier in the day. He chewed his lip, his eyes dilating at the thought of you. The way you stared at him in defiance, your temples rising and falling with the way you clenched your jaw. Of course, who could forget the sensation of your fingers pressed up against him as you fastened his belt? As much of the ladies' man that Jack was, there was something different about you. You weren't like Giselle or Scarlet, complaining about superficial things or just merely trying to get into his pants. He could tell there was this curious spirit fighting to break free when he first laid eyes on you. The way you cautiously peered over your brother's shoulder had made him... well, he certainly wouldn't say his heart skipped a beat. He wasn't a silly little boy. He was a man! A grown man, a pirate! CAPTAIN Jack Sparrow, mind you. And yet here he was, trying to justify to himself that what he felt for you was nothing more than just infatuation that would surely pass on.
But it didn't. It never did. While of course, his thoughts about stealing The Interceptor were his priority, he just couldn't stand still without his mind fleeting over to the very image of you, dressed in that regal bright blue gown and your hair all curled and pinned to form the most exquisite portrait of a woman he'd ever seen in his life. He smirked to himself at the thought of you, wondering what you must be doing at Port Royal at the moment. What if your brother had you married off to someone else? What if you were to live the rest of your life as a boring wife to an equally boring officer? He shook his head, wriggling himself free from those imaginative concoctions. He was a pirate, damn it. He had better things to think about than just a woman he had seen days ago.
"You've got to be kidding me," Your brother grumbled as he pushed past you. You had boarded The Interceptor with him, not because you had wanted to - even though you took every chance out on the sea with gratefulness - but because your brother was so worried about the possibility of your abduction that he wished you were beside him at all times. Including those incredibly still moments of him gazing out into the sea. To him, he seemed to have an air of control, all the world's burdens upon his shoulder. This was his duty. When you gazed out into the sea, however, it was a plethora of possibilities. The unmarked territories you could claim, the desire for you to seek out treasure from all corners. You could be free. And no one would stop you. Save your brother, but that was something he'd always do anyway. Your attention focused on The Dauntless a couple hundred meters away as you noticed flocks of the British crew on small boats were paddling towards the ship you were in. Your brother gazed through his telescope and snarled at the sight, hesitantly passing the device for you to see as well. From afar, you saw Will Turner and... Jack Sparrow? The pirate? Both of them were flapping their arms around trying to make use of the mast. You guffawed at the sight, laughing at them. You turned to face your brother who quickly reminded you with his gaze about your behavior and you swallowed the amusement away as fast as you could.
The two ships - The Dauntless and The Interceptor - were locked horns now and your brother ordered you to come with him to board The Dauntless and put an end to Sparrow's madness. You reluctantly agreed, your eyes scanning around to see any sight of the familiar pirate you had so longed to see.
"Search every cabin, every hull," Your brother barked, before turning back to you, "And you stay close to me. Do not go wandering about like a fool like you always do."
You glowered at him, electing not to anger him any further as you stood on the deck. You watched him disappear among the surge of officers onto The Dauntless. You sighed, pacing back and forth when you noticed two men swing over to The Interceptor. It was Will and Jack.
Eyes widening in surprise, you tried to call attention to the situation but your cries fell on deaf ears. You stomped your foot and watched Jack cut off the rope ties, one by one. His gaze was fixed downwards until he looked up momentarily, and there you stood. He stood there for a few more seconds, completely surprised by your presence. Deep down, as much as he hated to admit it, he feared that he would never see you again.
"What are you doing? Cut the rope!" Will cried out in confusion before he followed Jack's eyes to you. Jack looked upwards at the rope still connecting the two boats before turning back to you,
"Jump, Miss Norrington!" He instructed, and you stepped forward, holding onto a long piece of rope. Upon hearing your name, your brother rushed out of the Captain's Quarters, pushing past his men.
"(Y/N)!" He yelled, his eyes daring you to make another move. Realizing that this was the only opportunity to acquire what you had spent so long yearning for; the deep blue seas, the adventure, and the whimsical treasures, you sent him one final glance before running off the deck of The Dauntless and swinging onto The Interceptor. With the final rope now gone, and the ship sailing forward at full speed your brother looked at you as if you were dead to him.
When The Dauntless was far behind and there seemed to be no danger at the present moment, you walked towards your friend Will and the pirate beside him. Will seemed elated that you were there, and he hugged you so warmly that you nearly forgot that he was not related to you by blood. Releasing you from his arms, he sheepishly stepped aside as Jack Sparrow stepped forward.
"Miss Norrington, it is a pleasure to have you on board with us. I almost feared you might not have the guts to swing over," He teased, his hand graciously wrapping around your own as he kissed your fingers with such gentleness that it surprised you. You cracked half a smile at him, narrowing your eyes, before responding,
"You may call me (Y/N), and please, I never turn down an opportunity for adventure."

🌿ENTP 🍁Ravenclaw 📜Chaotic Good 🔮Gemini Sun, Aquarius Moon, Sagittarius Rising
𝑻𝒉𝒆𝒎𝒆 𝑺𝒐𝒏𝒈:
How’s It Gonna End by Tom Waits
𝑺𝑭𝑾🌿
・It wasn’t easy being with Jack, then again, it wouldn’t have been easy being with you either -
・Over the years you had gotten into a flow - knowing each other’s quirks, your wants and desires; vices and virtues.
・When other people are around you - that’s when it isn’t easy. Because all they see is two people on a whole other planet - you have inside jokes, lingo, a way of communicating that others can’t comprehend quick enough
・And when Jack gets attention from others ... you have to admit, you do get a little jealous. Okay, a lot jealous.
・Especially when he’s around women, he can’t help but flirt back. And it’s taken a while for him to learn to cut it out
・Captain Jack Sparrow has always been known for his extravagance, his over-the-top nature. And you’re known for your chaos, your unruly nature; and of course your clumsiness.
・But somehow your clumsiness is always connected to luck. Knocking something over will somehow lead to a distraction where you’re able to escape later on.
・You found each other in your youth. Constantly rescuing each other by chance - destiny always found a way for you to run into each other
・The stories you could tell!
・The amount of times you’ve pulled each other from the brink are countless
・Where one went, the other was always soon to follow
・You have no idea how many times you both faced the gallows
・They didn’t seem all that frightening now
・You loved the Black Pearl just as much as Jack. You saw her as your freedom.
・When Jack was pulled from your world into Davy Jones’ locker, you went straight in there with him.
・The Kraken was the easy part. The time spent in that godforsaken desert was hell. Literal hell.
・Unluckily, you didn’t end up in the same place.
・Davy knew Jack would be fine if you were with him, so he separated the both of you.
・And in the time frame, Jack had inched closer to insanity - not having you by his side made his mind plunge into instability
・You thought it was fun ... at first (insanity was/is second nature to you.)
・But Davy had more tricks up his sleeve, ones that he somehow knew would get to you
・Then little crabs started appearing.
“Aw rocks.” You said out loud, moving to lay down and gaze at the perfectly rounded sphere.
“Oh, not rocks. Rocks with legs-”
・And when they moved, you followed
・ “Y/N! Y/N ARE YOU REAL? WHAT ARE YOU DOING ‘ERE?” Jack bellowed from the moving Black Pearl
“YOU JUMPED, I JUMPED.”
“Oh yes, Kraken. I remember now, he was a slimey smelly big thing wasn’t he-”
・You found your way on deck and Jack swooped you into his arms. He held you close against him, holding one hand on the back of your head.
・Now others think it weird, but Jack likes to smell you. So when you were nuzzled in his arms, he did exactly that
・ When you found everyone on the beach, you nearly ran to Tia Dalma. She’s been a close friend throughout the years.
・You didn’t feel any resentment towards Elizabeth. Holding onto grudges didn’t make sense in your line of work.
・And you kept her secret.
・The relationship with you and Jack means you share a lot of the same enemies.
・Barbossa, the man who marooned the two of you on separate islands, had come back to save you from Davy Jones Locker. It made you laugh. You actually audibly laughed when you saw him
・Although you did like Jack the monkey
・Will was ... less than enthused to see you
・Only because he thought you were bat sh*t crazy
・But Elizabeth could only blush - she didn’t look you in the eye until a week later
・You were present during the meeting of the Bretheren Court. And were incredibly excited to see Jack’s father again.
・Back in the day he and yourself hit it off nearly instantly. He thought you would have made a brilliant Pirate Lord, if only you weren’t so clumsy
・To Jack’s disbelief you wanted a war with the East India Trading Company
“They’ve taken too much from us, Jack.”
・Yet again, destiny had spared you. The fight with Davy Jones and Beckett had caused many casualties, but neither you or Jack had been hurt
・You were able to sail away... until Gibbs had fallen asleep and the Pearl was stolen yet again
・Jack has mastered how to patch you up; cuts, burns, bullet wounds etc. In another life, he would have made a great healer. And when you brought how talented he is with remedies and such, he said: “Love, I’m only good at this because I’m looking after you. I couldn’t care about anyone else.”
・Jack likes listening to you read out loud. But most of the time you get bored of the story and start making things up, while still holding the book so Jack has no idea what the real plot of the story is ...
・Many might think you two have a treasure cove of riches. But really you just have a small tockens of each other on your persons
・He has a trinket that you found many years ago in his hair, twisted around a dreadlock
・You wear a ring of his. He gave it to you as a sign of his affection and love. A little like a promise ring

Jack likes to make nicknames up on the spot as well, especially when he wants to cheer you up. He’ll string two random words together and they may not even be sweet - but the way he says it ... he can make anything sound sensual.

Words of Affirmation, Physical Touch and Gift Giving
Jack is big on words. But what really gets to him is when you compliment him - when the words are coming from you, they mean something. People might think Jack is a touchy feely guy; but he’s really not. He’s calculating with how he touches you - moving hair behind your ear, being the big spoon, dancing with you. His favourite love language is gift giving both giving and receiving. He absolutely ADORES presents. Especially all things sparkly.

masterlist | read on ao3
It was said, among your kind, that there was nothing more dangerous than a sailor; for you were destined to either love him or kill him.
That is, if he did not kill you first.
Your life had already been long, then, and you’d never even seen a human up close. You’d learned to understand how the seas would change when they had to carry a ship, how the waves would moan under its weight, and you’d taken great pains to avoid watchful eyes in the dark every single time. The odds were stacked against you, and you weren’t ready to risk your life for a notion as abstract as love.
Others, you knew, had been bolder than you. Several of your sisters liked to venture out to take a closer look at a passing vessel and its crew, and some of them had never made it back afterwards. You didn’t like to think what might have happened to them.
It was worse, though, when they did return. Blood on their gills and flesh still stuck between their sharp teeth, a mad, angry, horrified look in their eyes. See what they made me do, it seemed to say. See how they conjure violence from thin air.
Passion, you learned, was a dangerous current to get caught up in.
Night fell early that day, like the goddess herself wanted to hide what was about to happen underneath a shroud of darkness. The sea was quiet. The stars were hiding as you let yourself get carried by the waves with your face turned towards an empty sky, far enough from the cursed ship to stay out of sight. The Flying Dutchman made you shiver in your scales, no matter how many times you smelled her rotten wood from afar. There was nothing good on that ship; nothing good could ever come from it.
You never knew what strange tides carried you closer. These waters had their own sense of humour, sometimes, cruel and biting like medusa venom.
A shout cut through the night, clearly audible even from where you were floating at a distance. Normally, you would’ve taken this as your sign to leave, but for some reason, you hesitated. An icy chill went through you and stopped you from slipping away into the safety of the deep. Instead, you turned your head towards the source of the sound.
Something had plummeted into the water.
You squinted. Yes, you could see several figures, their heads just bobbing above the surface as they moved hastily away from the abominable ship.
Good, you thought. Not even humans deserved the likes of Davy Jones.
Then the wind picked up. It carried the coppery stench of blood and steel mixing with seawater, and the fine hairs covering your neck stood up in response. Every cell of your body was screaming at you to flee, and yet you were unable to move, the ocean gently pushing you closer still.
You couldn’t see anything else in this murky darkness, but a few minutes passed in tense silence before you heard a hollow, ghostly laugh followed by another splash. The sea tasted of iron, too, now; and of something else.
It was that other, undetermined thing that made you swim closer against your every instinct. You were still far enough from the Dutchman to be out of sight, the tides moving in your favour, when you saw the shape in the water.
It was drifting away from the vessel as well, but in a way much more uncoordinated than the ones you’d seen earlier, barely staying afloat for another moment before the ocean swallowed it whole.
You did not hesitate this time.
Underwater, it was much easier for your eyes to make out the shape, sinking heavily as the ship’s wake pushed it down, down towards the bottom of the ocean. A muscle strained in your tail, your gills protesting as you shot through the waters to get a proper look before it fell out of sight. You still didn’t understand why.
Goddess help you, you should’ve known.
For something as terrible as a sailor, he didn’t look all that intimidating. He only looked decidedly lifeless, his eyes closed, limbs floating loosely. Blood tinted the water around him, coming from a hole in his chest that probably wasn’t supposed to be there. Then again, what did you know about humans?
You wondered if all of them looked this beautiful.
Then, like a shockwave, you remembered that they needed air to breathe.
Before you could consciously decide on it, you had grabbed the sailor under his shoulders and dragged him back up. He was heavier than a grown reef shark, unresponsive dead weight, the ocean refusing to loosen her grip on him.
Finally, you burst through the surface again, a gasp of relief escaping you when you spotted a sandbank not that far away. The Dutchman, thankfully, was far off in the distance by now. No ghostly eye saw you taking off into the opposite direction with the lifeless sailor the ship had spat out.
You couldn’t help but glance at your charge every now and again as you struggled to keep him afloat. He had lost part of his hair to the currents, and the rest of it had another colour underneath, dark like sea weeds. You could only hope that he didn’t need the upper part.
But need it for what, exactly? This man was dead; or at least mostly so. He still smelled slightly alive, and his skin was warm against yours.
"What am I doing?" you whispered to yourself as you tightened your grasp around his shoulders.
Careful, sang the waves. Do not play with things you don’t understand.
But what a ridiculous warning that was. You knew this man was in no shape to harm you, so how could your curiosity be something terrible?
After what felt like hours, your hands touched rock and sand. With great effort, you managed to heave the sailor onto it. No matter how much you scowled at the waves, his head kept rolling back under water, until you lifted yourself up and carefully put it in your lap.
Your tail was aching with exhaustion and your uncomfortable position, but you couldn’t keep your eyes off him. Breathe, you thought, holding his face in your hands, breathe.
The sailor didn’t listen, but then again, he was mostly dead.
You could feel your heart racing as desperation started to rise. What had you done this for, then, if he refused to cling to life after all? It was as if something had possessed you, and now that you were halfway through the motions it dictated, you’d been once again left alone with your thoughts and the rush of the sea around you.
Something compelled you to push a strand of wet, dark hair away from his face. No; he didn’t look intimidating at all.
Love him or kill him.
You were a simple creature steered by fate as much as anyone, and right now, you were a helpless guppy between her fingers. You wondered what colour his eyes might be.
He was so heavy on you, like his weight was trying to remind you of the odd reality of this situation. You had no idea what to do, and so you kept staring at him.
Like small fish lured in by photophore, your fingers trailed inevitably downwards to that strange hole in his chest. Human blood smelled the same as yours, and it had the same colour, as far as you could tell; but it was warm.
Hesitantly, you pulled your hand back and licked it up.
An involuntary sigh left your lips.
Sweet. Maddeningly sweet. Even after just a few drops, you could see why your sisters would lose their minds over this. You could feel your mouth watering as you savoured the taste, your mind going blissfully blank.
This was like nothing you’d ever experienced.
Your heart was beating a frenzy as you heaved the sailor up in your lap and leaned over his chest, dipping your tongue against the hole. Each lick of blood intensified the gentle buzz in your head, a giddy lightness spreading through your limbs, your chest, your very core.
Just before you lost yourself entirely to this sensation, you heard a low rumbling noise. Gurgling, like stuck water. The sound faded again almost instantly.
Around you, the wind picked up, the waves rumbling menacingly, and you looked up to see the clouds darkening overhead. A storm was coming, after all.
You went to continue your meal and found that the hole had closed up. Soft, reddened skin covered it like it had never been there in the first place. Only a small, shimmering scar remained, and you traced your fingers along it in wistful wonderment, blinking as you wiped your mouth and came to your senses again.
How strange, indeed.
Still, your appetite had been wet, now. You looked at the sailor’s face again, craving more of his sweetness. Maybe …
Slowly, you brushed your lips against his, breathing into him as you carefully nipped at his flesh. He tasted like the sea, here, salt and brine and something else entirely, something that made you press closer as you exhaled into him.
Perfect, you thought because you’d never felt anything so true, all things falling into place for the first time in your life. It sent a pleasant tingle up your spine.
A sound again; this time, it reverberated in your mouth. The sea lashed at you but you ignored it, pushing into the noise as if going to smother it, and then something moved in your lap and the mostly dead sailor grunted weakly against your lips.
You flinched backwards as he sputtered before you, his entire body convulsing as he coughed up seawater and blood. Each rattled breath ended with another fit of coughs until finally, he calmed, slumping back into his previous position in your lap.
It was then, for the first time, that he opened his eyes.
They were green, green like the deep sea on a particularly fine day, green like a palm leaf on the beach at Whitecap Bay, green like shards of smooth seaglass, polished and shimmering. Even in the darkness, they were bright, and they were looking up at you in confusion.
You were confused, too. Something very odd was happening, and so you leaned in and you did the only thing your mind could think of at that moment. You pressed your lips against his once more.
Again, you were filled with that feeling of rightness as you pressed closer, as his mouth gently moved against yours as if in an unheard question before answering you in equal. Yes, yes.
You didn’t understand but this was the way things should be, how they were always meant to go, how—
Cool hands pulled your face away and an involuntary whine escaped you. The sea green eyes had darkened, softened, and they blinked at you several times before the sailor asked, "Am I dead?"
"Not anymore," you said, making to move closer again. He didn’t let you, his hand solid against your cheek.
"I don’t—I’m not sure what happened." His voice was hoarse with the salt of the ocean. His thumb kept tracing your cheekbone like he wasn’t able to comprehend you were actually here. "I thought I was dead."
"Does it matter?" you asked. Your voice was gaining a sing-songy quality entirely of its own accord, and it made his seaglass eyes glaze over a little.
He made to sit up and even though some deep, primal instinct didn’t want him to withdraw even a little, you helped steady his shaking arms until he was upright. Still, your tail was relieved at the lifted weight, giving an involuntary spasm that splashed in the water.
The sailor barely seemed to notice, even as he looked around at his surroundings. The wind howled and dark waves kept lapping at his legs as he tried to get his bearings.
It was a long time before his eyes settled on you again.
"Who are you?" he said, and there was wonder in his voice, incredulity.
Beautiful, you thought again.
You told him your name, quickly, without even thinking about it. Your kind wasn’t usually supposed to share this information; names held power, after all. But this was different. He was different.
"What about you, sailor?" you asked softly. "What do they call you?"
"I … James," he said, his brow furrowed in concentration, like he wasn’t all that sure at all. "Admiral James Norrington of the EC … the EITC. I think."
"Don’t think," you said, putting a hand on his chest. You could feel his heartbeat in there, fast enough for it to sound as if he, like some creatures, had three of them. Unlikely, of course, but what did you know?
In time, he might spare one of them for you.
For some reason, that thought didn’t shock you.
"I should …" he said, his eyes half-shut again. You wanted to kiss away that frown. You wondered if his smile was as magnificent as you imagined, hidden somewhere beneath that stern face. "There was something … someone …"
It broke your heart, the way that worry weighed on him. You needed to take care of him. Take him somewhere safe, somewhere he could rest.
"Don’t worry, James Norrington," you said gently, slowly leaning in once more; he didn’t stop you. "It’s going to be all right."
This time, when your mouths connected, he sighed, like he was letting go of whatever burden his memory was trying to remind him of. This time, his arms came around you and wrapped tightly around your shoulders so that when you slipped into the water, he clung to you, your lips still moving in perfect tandem. He tasted divine.
Yes, you thought, maybe there was a point to these stories about sailors after all.
But this one … he was good. He was yours.
And you intended to keep him.

Can I have Legolas and Will Turner separately kissing the reader's scars after seeing them (From battle, abuse, or near death experience not self harm) 🥺
For Legolas-
"What's this from?" Legolas touched your arm.
You looked up from your book to find Legolas looming over your place in a chair by the fireplace, firelight catching on the silvers and greens of his uniform. You lingered in him for a moment, taking in his beauty. Then looked to where he touched you, to the scar his fingers traced over. "Orcs." You returned to your book.
"It must have been painful."
"You should have seen the orcs." You smirked and turned a page. "Sadly, they did not live long enough for their wounds to heal."
You could hear the smile in Legolas's voice. "I'm sure not." He leaned down and kissed the scar.
There was a thunk of his satchel hitting the ground, then your beloved came to sit in front of your chair. This was not an unusual occurrence. Legolas often sought your presence at the end of his day. What you hadn't expected was for him to slip his shirt over his head and hold out a pale, muscular arm for you to inspect. "Matches yours."
Book forgotten, it slipped from your lap as you leaned forward and ran your hand along the long scar. "Orcs?"
"Goblins." Legolas smiled softly as you kissed the scar, slow and sweet, savoring his warmth.
"Must have been painful." You looked up at him, entranced by his eyes in the flickering light.
"No longer." His fingers found the back of your neck, gentle, steady, bringing you close for a kiss you readily returned.
For Will-
You closed your eyes and tried to breathe, fingers stilling on the buttons of your shirt. You were exhausted and wished for nothing more than sleep, however you were so tired your fingers kept fumbling with the buttons of your shirt. Having already removed your gun, hat, and shoes, the shirt was the last thing to go before you could sleep in some sense of comfort in your undershirt.
You had just resolved to give up when familiar footsteps sounded outside your door. A pause, soft knock, and Will stepped inside. "The crew is still celebrating," he closed the door behind him, locking it with a soft click. "They'll probably be up all night."
"Good for them." You rubbed your eyes, swaying unsteadily as he approached. "Do you need something?"
"Uh," Will nodded to your bed. "Are you about to sleep?"
"I was attempting to," you fumbled irritably with your shirt and yawned. "Can't, can't get my shirt off."
Will's smile was gentle. "Here," he crossed to you, the closeness making your heart skip. "Allow me."
"It's fine," you took a step back and tripped, sure to have fallen had not Will caught you by the arm.
"Steady," Will smiled as you laughed at yourself. "You're exhausted."
"Unbelievably." You smiled up at him, the expression fading as his fingers found your buttons. "Will,"
His fingers paused. "Allow me to help."
"I don't...I'm not," your face grew hot, gaze falling down to his chest. "I have...I'm not pretty."
"Love,"
"A life...A life of a pirate is not always kind." You closed your eyes against the shame, only you were so tired it made you want to doze off standing up so you opened them once more.
"Listen," Will touched the side of your face and brought your gaze up to his once more. "Do you trust me?"
"With my life. But, you will think me ugly."
"Never." Will pressed a kiss to your forehead. "Never, my love."
You hesitated but did not refuse when he began to unbutton your shirt. His movements were slow and careful. Will kissed your nose, your cheeks, your lips as he worked, the sensation intoxicating. When your undershirt and arms were revealed you expected disgust to cross his face. Instead, you saw nothing but sadness and love.
"Darling," he breathed, fingers brushing along the scar on your collarbone, then over to the scar on your shoulder. The scars were everywhere, marring your tanned skin.
"Ugly?" You asked.
"Beautiful." He responded, leaning down to kiss along the length of each scar.

masterlist!
• Oh god there's two of you now
• That's what went through most people's heads upon meeting the both of you side by side
• Wil Turner especially. He can hardly deal with one Jack Sparrow, much less another one
• It falls on Elizabeth more times than not to keep the peace between all of you—but even she struggles with keeping the both of you in line
• "Remind me why we can't just throw them overboard Elizabeth?" Will all but pleaded at one point
• "Because it's their ship Will! Besides, they'd find us again anyways. They always do."
• "Got that right, lassie!" You'd hiccuped from somewhere above them, startling everyone as Will and Elizabeth looking up—only to be met with the sight of you clutching a bottle of gin in your hand and smiling drunkenly
• "Oh for fucks sake."
• They had to resort to using a mop to get you down from the mast in the end
• Apart from all of the other shenanigans the two of you get involved in on the regular, you and Jack have this little superstition
• It's not much—when one of you is having trouble thinking of any good ideas or a solution to something, they'll grab the other's hat and swap it with their own, wearing the stolen hat in its place
• It's almost as if the two of you believe bad energy gets stuck in the hat and that you have to get rid of it. It's stupid, but the superstition could be worse, that's for sure. Besides, you're the only one who gets the lay a finger on Jacks hat, so that's a bonus
• This should really go without saying, but expect some flirting from Captain Jack Sparrow
• He can hardly keep his hands to himself half the time, much less his wandering gaze, so you've been known to knock him on the head once or twice
• But all is well in the end, even if he does drown you in more nicknames than anyone else
• "Could you take the wheel for me real quick, love?"
• "Just call me by my name Jack. You've known me long enough by now to at least do that."
• "No thanks, darling. I much prefer this."
• Jack Sparrow is fucking insufferable, overly cocky, and a bit of an unorthodox pirate. But he's your unorthodox pirate—and vise versa
• Neither of you would give up the other for all the gold in the world

𝐆𝐎𝐍𝐄
𝐒𝐂𝐄𝐍𝐀𝐑𝐈𝐎 After an attack on the Black Pearl leaves you seeking refuge on another ship, you become distraught at the lack of knowledge on the whereabouts of your husband, Jack, and the fear for the safety of your baby
𝐖𝐀𝐑𝐍𝐈𝐍𝐆𝐒 mentions of attacks, angst, stillbirth. This may be triggering to some audiences, read at your own discretion.
𝐏𝐀𝐈𝐑𝐈𝐍𝐆 Jack Sparrow x f! reader
You went overboard when the canons hit, you struggled against the waves, but you tried to break through the surface of the water. You wanted to go back, find Jack, but you knew you couldn't keep swimming forever, you needed to get to safety, whether that was land or another ship. If you and your baby were going to survive.
You swam for what felt like hours, until another ship found you. "Captain, I think we found another one!" One of the crew members called, while a few others pulled you to safety. "She's with child!"
You were cold, tired, sore, worried for your baby and not knowing if Jack was even alive. You just began to weep. The crew members of the ship led you below deck, and you were relieved to see some of the crew from the Black Pearl, but no signs of Jack. You were given a small, more private room - given the fact you were a woman and pregnant. And hysterical but that was besides the point.
You kept crying out for your husband, for Jack. One of the crew members from the rescue ship, a young man, promised that, if they found Jack, they'd bring him straight to you.
Your worry only grows, and your sobs don't stop, when maybe 15 minutes later, still nobody knows where Jack is. By this point, you've been given fresh, dry clothes to change into, and some water. You change into the simple white shirt and trousers, drinking the water before trying to dry your tears. You go on deck again, despite the protests from both crews.
"Please, I need to find my husband." You begged, and who were they to say no? A pregnant, potential widow looking for her lost husband.
It takes an effort but 25 minutes later, Jack is spotted floating along the waves on a plank of wood. "Jack? Jack!!" You call out, rushing towards his direction on the ship. That same crew member from earlier keeps you from jumping in the water to rescue Jack. But much like you before, Jack is recovered onto the ship, and you're immediately jumping into his arms. He's laying down but he pulls you close, letting your legs hang over his body (imagine that scene in tangled where Flynn is holding Rapunzel).
"Oh love.. Are you okay? Is the wee one okay?" He immediately asks. He's uncharacteristically soft with you, only you. You're his wife, how could he not be?
You nod, everything's okay now that you have him again.
He gets the same treatment, clothes, water, and he gets to rest in the room with you.
You have hope again, and although you're confused about what was going to happen now, you had your husband and you had your baby.
But that night, you started having pains, as if you were going into labor. But that wasn't right, you were only 5 months pregnant. That couldn't be right.
They brought you back above deck (Well, Jack did, as he knew you'd want to be under the stars in the circumstance of your birth.) The crew of the ship let you two be, knowing not to interrupt such a moment.
You were terrified, but Jack just held your hand and kept giving you reassurances as he slipped your trousers off. You pushed and pushed, squeezing his hand, until eventually he could see the head. "Come on, you're doing great, love. Keep pushin' for me." He encouraged, seeing the tears slip down your cheeks. You gave one final big push before he could pull the baby out.
But instead of hearing the cries of your infant, there was silence, deafening silence. "My baby... Why aren't they crying?? Jack..? You began to get distraught again, weary.
He looked distant, speechless for once in his life. For once, he did not have a witty remark to make, the heavy, dark truth of the situation weighing over him.
Your baby was gone. You knew it in that moment when you saw the guilty expression on his face. "Oh my god.." You painfully choked out, your hand coming to cover your mouth as fresh tears slipped down your face, now from sadness and grief rather than physical pain.
He immediately cut the cord, then called for Gibbs, whispering something that you didn't hear to him, handing him your dead child. "No.. No!" You cried, but Jack quickly shushed you.
"I know, I know, I know. It's okay. I'm right here, we'll be okay. You still have me." He whispered, his own eyes getting teary. Jack never cried, but how could he not cry at this situation? At the loss of your child? Gibbs quickly walked away, and you didn't even want to think about what would happen to the body of what was supposed to be your child.
"Jack.. Hold me. Please Jackie." You cried.
And he did. He held you, cried with you. He cleaned you up, helped you birth the placenta. Gibbs helped here and there, more with getting rid of the placenta, the cloth Jack used to clean you up. He couldn't leave your side for one second as he put your trousers back on, carrying you back to the bed.
It didn't take long for everyone to understand what happened, giving the fact there was a lack of a baby bump on you, but no chubby baby in your arms.

Chapter 17: Getting Back
General POV
Only the chubby and the fake eyed pirate were giving another job.
They were to disguise themselves so that Norrington's men would be distracted.
The other pirates on the other hand were starting to climb onto the rope of the anchor. On top of the Dauntless.
Mr. Swann asked the guard in front of the door were Rosemary and Elizabeth were stuck to be alone for a second with them.
'Girls' He knocked on the door. But no sound came out.
' I just want you girls to know.
I'm proud of what you did to save Elizabeth, Rosemary.
And Elizabeth I believe you made a very good decision today. Couldn't be more proud of you to.
But you know, even a good decision, if made for the wrong reasons, can be a wrong decision. '
Rosemary was climbing trough the window when she heard what he said.
'Even Mr. Swann thinks it's a bad decision to marry Norrington' she thought to herself.
'good to know' she said softly before letting herself climb out of the window.
'Girls are you there?' Mr. Swann asked when he did not hear any sound come back.
'Are you even listening to me?' He asked when he opened the door. Seeing the window open and none of the girls left inside.
'Come on Elizabeth lets row towards the pearl!' Rosemary said. As she started rowing towards the black pearl.
'Why!? we better go to the cave! To save Will.'
'No we got to release the crew first' Rosemary answered as she rowed towards the Black Pearl.
The pirates that were a distraction in the dinghy were starting to fight with each other leaving their bodies exposed to the full moon.
Which made Norrington's eyes grow big.
'WE NEED TO GO BACK TO THE DAUNTLESS! ' He yelled as the soldiers started rowing back towards the Dauntless.
Meanwhile. In Isla the muerta.
Jack was inspecting all kinds of gold the crew of the Pearl had picked up on their voyages.
'I must admit Jack, I thought I had you figured,
But it turns out you're a hard man to predict.' Barbossa told him.
'Me I'm dishonest.
And a dishonest man you can trust to be dishonest.
Honestly. It's the honest ones you want to watch out for. ' Jack said while walking towards Barbossa.
'Because you can never predict when they're going to do something incredibly stupid.' Jack said before pushing Twigg down and grabbing his sword.
Jack threw Will the sword. And ran towards Barbossa starting a sword fight with him.
Will had cut his rope lose and started fighting the other three pirates who were after him.
Jack had cut the feather of Barbossa's head.
'Ha- ha' he smirked
Barbossa snarled at him and ran after him.
'You're off the edge of the map, mate.
Here there are monsters' Barbossa smirked as he pushed Jack around.
Rosemary's POV
We have reached the Pearl.
'Come on lets climb up!' I said towards Elizabeth. we climbed up on the railing
We came by a few pirates who were already choosing which piece of pie they were going to eat and taste first when they would have slit Will's throat.
Come on I motioned up towards Elizabeth.
I reached the deck and wanted to climb upwards when that stupid monkey came along again and screeched at me.
'You filthy little ' I grabbed him and threw him down towards the water.
Which made the pirates look out of the window and up the stairs looking around if they could find someone.
Elizabeth and I were thankfully already on the ship hiding.
' Down the stairs' I mouthed towards Elizabeth. and we ran to the brig on the lowest level of the ship.
'SHH' I heard Gibbs say as they looked around. And saw me coming down the stairs with Elizabeth behind me.
'ITS ROSE!' He said.
Elizabeth and I opened the brig and they all came out.
Ana Maria hugged me tight.
'I knew you were a fierce girl' she smirked and we all ran up deck.
The two pirates were still looking over the railing to see what happened to the small monkey. When they got a dinghy against their head and they fell into the water.
'Come-on! We need to save Will and Jack!' I yelled at them and Elizabeth and I started pulling a dinghy towards the water.
But I noticed there were not more people trying to push with us.
'Really? ' I asked them
'I know it's the code but please..' they all shrugged.
'We love you Rose..
But this might be our death sentence and we have the pearl now.. ' Gibbs started
'Yes but Jack is still there?!' I said pointing towards the cave.
Ana Maria looked at me.
'I love you, but please don't make us do this. We got what we want now..'
And a few minutes later it was just me and Elizabeth rowing towards Isla the muerta. And we could see the Pearl sail off.
'Bloody pirates' I cursed under my breath. And we rowed a bit faster.
'I hope we're not to late' Elizabeth said.
