You would assume that he'd be a menace but he's surprisingly sweet

Most people assume that he's with you bcs he wanted some arm candy but he's really just in love with you

Rindou is the unfortunate witness to how obsessed Ran is about you

When Ran sees you're being a dumbass all he does is smile and do his best to answer the question

He loves when his girl starts asking him how he can tell if it's AM or PM

Half the words out of his mouth have to do with you bcs he thinks you're just so amazing

Rindou stops himself from screaming when he sees Ran leaning against the kitchen counter. The last time he caught Ran awake in the middle of the night the other had almost skinned him alive.

A Ran that just woke up from a nap was not a good Ran.

He relaxes when he sees you move to Ran's side, offering him some hot chocolate. Ran would never expose you to his violent side. "Thank you angel," He says as he accepts the drink, taking a sip and placing his arm around your waist.

"Ran..." You start, and Rindou can't wait for whatever bullshit you're going to spew this time.

"Why does your tattoo keep changing?"

He raises an eyebrow and looks down at his arm. Experimentally, he flexes it.

"It happened again!" You exclaim as his muscles tense, art rippling with the muscle.

Rindou has no idea how he deals with you sometimes. You're sweet, you're just... something else.

Ran doesn't react to the strange question, only offering a half-hearted shrug. He runs a hand through his hair, "I think it's because my skin stretches as I flex or something... and the tattoo is on my skin so it's affected too." He watches you, wondering if the answer is satisfactory.

You beam at the response and curl into him, placing your head on his shoulder. He presses a soft kiss to the crown of your head.

Rindou slinks back upstairs and tries not to throw up. He hates being around you two.

Hakkai Shiba

It's a miracle how Hakkai even started to talk to you

It was a struggle for everyone involved

He doesn't sigh, he knows you're genuine about this and he would hate to embarrass you. He raises an eyebrow for clarification.

Piercing blue eyes looked up at Debbie’s, peering into her soul, as plump, soft lips broke into a devious smirk.

“I’m not gonna shake your hand,” the woman snorted, swinging her legs off the table. “Grab a seat. I’ll get you a drink.”

“I don’t drink,” Debbie declared, removing a wet wipe from her briefcase and wiping down her side of the table before sitting down stiffly.

“Oh come on,” the blonde sighed. “It’s—“ she checked her watch. “11am.” She coughed. “Eh, I’ve done worse. Haven’t gone to sleepy yet either so might as well.”

“So,” Debbie cleared her throat. “Detective—“

“Lou’s fine,” the blonde waved her off.

“Lou then,” Debbie nodded, sucking in a breath.

“Agent Ocean, huh?” The blonde snorted. “From New York City. How’d you get that gig?”

“Hard work,” Debbie replied curtly. She didn’t owe this woman anything. Especially not details and the intricacies behind the job and especially behind her personal background.

“Big talker, I see,” Lou chuckled, sitting up slightly as she leaned forward against the table, studying the brunette.

“You really shouldn’t keep your gun out on the table like that,” Debbie whispered. She couldn’t help it. It was entirely against protocol. Anyone could have come over and reached for it and whatever injuries happened with that gun could be traced back to Lou. They could take her badge for it.

“You really should be drinking with the person you’re drinking with,” she shot back. “Besides, I like keeping it there. And my badge is right next to it. Nobody’s gonna Fuck with a cop’s gun unless they’re stupid. And then…well, I can deal with stupid.”

“Aren’t you supposed to be undercover?” Debbie hissed.

“Not all the time,” Lou rolled her eyes. “I’m a detective, agent. Not under witness protection.”

Debbie cleared her throat, feeling awkward, desperate to change the subject or to flee completely. But there was too much riding on this. She needed it to work.

“How long have you been with Boston PD?” Debbie tried, her fingers running along the seams of her briefcase as she tried to keep herself cool and collected even though the blonde’s crass attitude and nonsense demeanor made her anything but.

“Longer than you’ve been alive, sweetheart,” the blonde smirked, tossing back the rest of her drink.

“You’re younger than me,” Debbie pointed out.

Lou shot her a suspicious look before flagging down a waitress with her hand, her eyes narrowing as she studied Debbie.

“You read my file?”

“Of course,” Debbie shrugged.

“Fucking, narc,” Lou sighed.

“I’m not—“ Debbie protested, but gave up in defeat letting out a long exhale as she grabbed the waitress’s attention before Lou could. “I’ll take a vodka soda.”

“No,” Lou grimaced, wrinkling her nose. “She’ll have a whiskey. Neat. Same for me.”

“I don’t drink whiskey,” Debbie hissed.

“You do now,” Lou smiled. “If you’re working with me, that is. And besides, what does it matter? You already told me you don’t drink. Anything else you want to lie about?”

“I don’t drink on the job,” Debbie corrected. “Okay? And I think that’s fair.”

“Well, I do, Ocean,” the blonde smirked. “So get used to it.”

Debbie rolled her eyes, but accepted the whiskey glass when it came over, clutching it with two hands like a glass of tea as she stared into it considering her life.

“So what’s this case?” Debbie sighed, watching the blonde shoot back half of her drink at once.

The blonde looked around, pushing herself further back into the corner of the booth as she gestured for Debbie to do the same. Debbie watched her finally pocket the gun underneath her leather jacket and pin her badge back on her hip, noticing the shoulder holster that peeked out from under her jacket. She must have been carrying at least three pieces above her waist alone.

“It’s drugs,” Lou finally spoke quietly.

“Drugs?” Debbie snorted. “Okay, and…”

“Not just your run of the mill dealing and messy pay outs,” Lou shook her head. “DEA’s involved. Feds are involved. Mob shit going down. Murder. Deals gone mad wrong. Crossed wires all over. But it all comes back to Boston.”

“Who’s the target?” Debbie whispered.

“This drug lord, Becker,” Lou sighed. “Claude Becker. I hate that son-of-a-bitch. Been on the department’s list for years.”

“So, how do we get him?”
