Green Tide? Are you sure about that, suggests Lim Kit Siang
Examples of this are, in Pagoh, Johor, PN won two seats with Muhyiddin Yassin winning 24,986 votes and if PKR and UMNO were a united party, they would’ve won 29,405 where PKR had 14,979 and UMNO had 14,426 votes.
The veteran politician from the DAP today states the so called ‘green tide’ might just be a fad and not a realistic political outcome. Lim Kit Siang then adds that he did not believe that the communists would take over Malaysia back in the 1950s, and he sees the same with PAS. Lim Kit Siang does not believe in the green-tide  Lim Kit Siang then quoted Datuk Masidi Manjun, the secretary general…

KUALA LUMPUR – Opposition leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim (Port Dickson-PH) has submitted a motion of no-confidence on Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin following the statement by Istana Negara admonishing the law minister’s announcement on the revocation of the emergency ordinances.
Anwar’s online press conference came after today’s sitting was delayed for the second time after its lunch break.
He said that with other Pakatan Harapan leaders, it is clear that the prime minister has committed “derhaka” (treason) towards the royal institution while lacking the majority support in the lower House.
He also slammed Muhyiddin’s Law Minister Datuk Seri Takiyuddin Hassan from PAS, over the latter’s announcement on the retroactive revocation of the emergency ordinances on July 21, which did not receive the royal assent.
“This is clearly based on the media statement from Istana Negara that rebuked the rude and treasonous behaviour of Takiyuddin Hassan who said that all emergency ordinances were revoked on July 21, whereas His Majesty wanted it to be tabled and debated in Parliament.
“Therefore, as Port Dickson MP and opposition chief, we have taken the stance to call for a motion of no-confidence against Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin, who is the Pagoh MP, to resign or be stripped of his position as soon as possible, in accordance with the constitution.”
His press conference was also interrupted by a Parliament public service announcement calling for all in the august House to go for Covid-19 screenings.
Earlier, Deputy Speaker Datuk Mohd Rashid Hasnon (Batu Pahat-BN) told the Dewan Rakyat that it will be adjourned for the third time today, from 3.30pm to 5.15pm, saying that there are two fresh Covid-19 cases on the premises.
“Thank you,” said Anwar after the announcement ended.
“This is the ploy that I said they were using earlier. We know that screenings can be done without disrupting the affairs of Parliament. For the majority of the MPs in the Dewan Rakyat, we know Muhyiddin has practically been stripped of his position as prime minister.
“Seeing that the Dewan Rakyat speaker (Datuk Azhar Azizan Harun) had made the mistake of defending the prime minister’s administration, he should honourably resign as soon as possible.
“The Agong also mentioned Takiyuddin’s name twice. He should resign too.”
Earlier, the PKR president had read out Istana Negara’s statement, that illustrated Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah’s disappointment over the law minister and Attorney-General Tan Sri Idrus Harun for their disobedience. – The Vibes, July 29, 2021

In the scheme of things...
- a.kadir jasin

"Siap, jaga kau! (You watch out!)"
Deputy Works Minister Datuk Dr Shahruddin Md Salleh yesterday confirmed his support for the Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad faction and urged the “original warriors” of Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Bersatu) to also the future of the party. In a statement confirming his departure from the camp of embattled Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin to support Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad and the Pakatan Harapan coalition, Shahruddin also stated that should he be required to resign from his positions should he be required to do so as a result of this. This brings to six, the number of Bersatu MPs confirmed to be on Dr Mahathir’s camp, alligned to the Pakatan Harapan opposition coalition, as rumours build up over an impending counter-coup that would see the coalition return to power. “I want to see Bersatu strong and stable. My love for Bersatu overcomes my love for Tun Dr Mahathir and Muhyiddin. Bersatu should not become irrelevant and the founding members who were genuinely with the struggle sidelined,” said Shahruddin. Shahruddin echoed a growing concerns among the Bersatu grassroots about the party’s future as part of the loose Perikatan Nasional coalition, which Umno and PAS are set to abandon come the 15th general elections. “I asked myself, does PN even exist as as a valid organisaion, complete with its own constitution and ROS (Registrar of Societies) registration? To my knowledge, Pakatan Harapan (PH) is legally certified by the ROS,” said Shahruddin. The Sri Gading member of parliament, who was also Deputy Federal Territories Minister under the previous Pakatan Harapan government, questioned the decision making of Bersatu MPs, particularly those involved in the foundation of the party, who had followed the route taken by Muhyiddin’s camp. “To me, PN is just a name of a body formed by members of parliament who agree with Muhyiddin as Prime Minister.
“It is not a coalition of parties. Moreover, I have not seen, studied or debated any PN constitution which has been brought to a general assembly or at least a leadership council. And have we agreed there for Bersatu to join PN?” quipped Shahruddin. “Dr Mahathir did not agree to this, thus can this be defined as him joining the opposition?” asked Shahruddin, pointing to the clauses by which Dr Mahathir and four other Bersatu MPs were sacked from the party last week.
Shahruddin added that he did not want to see Bersatu weaked through divisions and infighting. “We can “pengsan” (faint) if we read the ongoing debates on social media. We are exposing each other’s faults and turning them into content that goes viral, without any shame. Where did we learn this culture?” said Shahruddin. “I love Bersatu too much. How difficult it was to build Bersatu, the struggle against Barisan Nasional, going here and there with Dr Mahathir, Muhyiddin and friends in the “1.0 version”, he added, pointing to the Bersatu members prior to the 14th general election. Following Pakatan Harapan’s triumph in the 14th general elections, 15 MP had crossed over to join Bersatu in the ruling coalition from Umno, while another 10 rogue PKR MPs on the Azmin Ali camp are said to have joined the party following the crossover which resulted in the political coup which saw Muhyiddin rise to Prime Minister on March 1. “I was then Jorak assemblyman and the secretary general, going up and down carrying out party duties and in the Pagoh constituency. Sleeping in the car at RnR’s was normal. Then there was the campaigning, the roadshows, only Allah knows the joys and despairs we went through.
“Tun Dr Mahathir and Tun Dr Siti Hasmah were so committed in campaigning – here and there, to the North, South, East and West, thousands attended. We won. We formed the government! “The majority of those who joined Bersatu was because of Tun Dr Mahathir. Not because of my name, Shahruddin. Nobody knows me. Just an assemblyman, not even an EXCO. Not even remembered in BN. Tun’s contributions are as large and as hefty as the earth. Without Tun, Bersatu will be gone.” “If I have to resign as Deputy Works Minister, I shall resign, for the sake of strengthening Bersatu, so that my focus can be directed towards Bersatu.” “As the first secretary general, I know the division chiefs, Srikandi and Armada. I will urge the members down there to stop the infighting which will only weaken Bersatu. There are those who are fed up, want to leave Bersatu. I say to them, don’t do that. Unite,” Shahruddin wrote. “If I have to leave my friends in PN and return to PH and there is an assurance that Bersatu will be stronger and lives on, thus I am ready to do so. “Can any of you give me a sincere answer. I am now Sri Gading MP. Is it PN or PH that will provide an easy passage, without debate, to accept a Bersatu candidate to contest the Sri Gading parliamentary seat in GE15? That is also the answer to the basic question of whether Bersatu is safer within PN or PH.” - talkedabout
A salute to Sharuddin...
I like the statement of Sri Gading Member of Parliament, Sharuddin Md Salleh saying that he loves his party more than he loves Dr Mahathir and Muhyiddin. That's the nature of a true warrior with principles. He certainly does not like the other Bersatu MPs who like the 'lalang' weed blowing in the wind, especially those previously in Umno who then switched to Bersatu, and in Bersatu formed clicks and 501 gang. They are actually more despicable than a bad-tempered dog, or striped tailed lizard, curling up in a chair in search of one or two positions. They should be punished in the next general election. - mso

Disebabkan berebut kerusi hendak bertanding PRU14 mereka bergaduh sakan. DAP never failed you each time
you asked for help, Muhyiddin...
At Sheraton Hotel in the early hours of May 10, 2018, the mild-mannered Muhyiddin Yassin pulled me and Lim Kit Siang aside to ask the DAP to support a Bersatu candidate for the post of Johor menteri besar. He needed the favour to acknowledge his contribution in swinging the state votes to Pakatan Harapan. Despite the DAP winning the largest number of seats, 14 in total, compared to Amanah with 9, Bersatu 8 and PKR 5 in the state assembly, the DAP was not claiming the post of menteri besar. Kit Siang was open for discussion. After DAP secretary-general Lim Guan Eng consulted Amanah president Mohamad Sabu, the DAP agreed to support Muhyiddin’s nominee for menteri besar. On May 11, 2018, the sultan of Johor sent an aircraft to pick up Muhyiddin from Kuala Lumpur. I tagged along. It was my first-ever experience on a private jet. Three months earlier, on February 8, 2018, Muhyiddin and I travelled together on a Malindo low-cost flight after a Harapan Johor meeting. He told me that when he was deputy prime minister, he had travelled on a government jet dedicated to him. As an opposition leader without any privileges, Muhyiddin said he felt good that people appreciated our struggle. When he was in Barisan Nasional, he had not experienced random public member paying for his meals at coffee shops or warung just to show support. The public enthusiasm was very encouraging. On that May 2018 flight, Muhyiddin’s aide told me this was the team’s first experience in a private jet since their boss was sacked as DPM in July 2015. They felt great about GE14 because we created history by doing the right thing for the nation, albeit Muhyiddin’s personal sufferings between 2015 and 2018. The next day, on May 12, 2018, Harapan decided Muhyiddin as home minister, Mohamad as defence minister, and Guan Eng as finance minister. And the next day on May 13, I was at Muhyiddin’s house, just me and him. He was feeling dejected. He told me he wanted to resign from all positions the night before because his request to be appointed as finance minister was turned down by Dr Mahathir Mohamad. He was persuaded to stay on.
He also told me that in 1995, being the Umno vice-president with the highest votes and after serving as Johor menteri besar for nine years, he moved to the federal government expecting to hold a senior economic portfolio. But Mahathir as the then PM, only appointed him to the most junior position of youth and sports minister. He informed me that Anwar Ibrahim told him to be patient and wait for 1998, hinting that Muhyiddin would be his choice of deputy prime minister. In deep reflection during that tranquil morning, Muhyiddin said to me that after more than 20 years, after he had served as deputy prime minister for six years (2009 to 2015), was he still going to serve as Anwar’s deputy should the transition of power between Mahathir and Anwar were to happen? Between us, there was no answer. Muhyiddin was diagnosed with cancer in July 2018. I visited him twice at Mount Elizabeth Hospital, Singapore. Once by myself and the second time I accompanied Guan Eng. I considered Muhyiddin an elderly friend and was really worried about his health. In the months after his gradual recovery, in many of our meetings, he confided to me that he was thinking of calling it quits. The illness changed his perspective on life. The Johor quandary On April 24, 2019, after Muhyiddin and Mahathir clashed on the choice of Mazlan Bujang as Johor Bersatu chief, I was with him at his Home Ministry office. He told me he was thinking of throwing in the towel as Mahathir wouldn’t listen to his views even though Johor was his home state. Muhyiddin was the chairperson of the Harapan Johor council. He was upset but would still sign Mazlan’s appointment letter. He told me that Bersatu’s constitution dictated that as president he had to consult and accept the decisions of his chairperson, Mahathir. In the subsequent meetings over the next several months, he repeatedly told me that he was still bitter with the Bersatu chairperson over the choice of Mazlan. On June 6, 2019, Muhyiddin told me he has mostly recovered from his illness. His doctor who sat with us at the open house of Muhyiddin’s son also said he was recovering very well. I was relieved to hear the good news. Fast forward to October 2019. The attempted national political coup put together by the troika of Azmin Ali, Hishammuddin Hussein and Hamzah Zainudin kicked up huge racial sentiments on both the Malay and non-Malay ends.
It was an attempt to form a new Malay unity coalition government without the participation of the DAP and Amanah. Muhyiddin was very concerned that “divergent views among us because of different ideological beliefs are becoming more pronounced now”. The viability of the Bersatu-DAP coalition relations was being seriously questioned and there were huge pressures from the hawks in Bersatu on him to act against the DAP. He hosted a small dinner between top Bersatu and DAP leaders on October 29, 2019, to find ways to save the coalition. Both parties agreed that the extreme narratives on both Malay and non-Malay fronts are resulting in us suffering in the middle. We should do more to hold the coalition together. The meeting effectively but temporarily fended off the attempted October coup by the troika of Azmin, Hishammuddin and Hamzah using the DAP as a bogeyman. However, Harapan’s image did not improve, especially when abused racially by its opponents. On the night of November 16, 2019, I was in the operations room with Muhyiddin and his inner circle watching the results of the Tanjung Piai by-election streaming in. The demoralised Muhyiddin commented that “this was worse than a tsunami.” Peculiar moves, stranger motives
A special Harapan presidential council meeting was held on November 23, 2019, with the sole agenda of discussing the presentation by Muhyiddin as chairperson of the Harapan election campaign committee. He outlined the following political challenges: - Racial sentiments resulting in the negative effect on Harapan’s standing - Malays perceived that Harapan was controlled by the DAP - The Chinese perceived that Harapan was controlled by Bersatu and Mahathir - The Harapan cabinet was perceived as incompetent - The question of transition between the 7th PM and 8th PM caused the perception that the Harapan government was not stable He proposed Harapan: - To handle race and religion issues wisely by taking a more moderate and cautious approach - To change the image of the DAP being anti-Malay, Bersatu anti-Chinese - To discipline party members who criticise their own party or criticise leaders of another Harapan component party - To handle the transition between the 7th PM and the 8th PM wisely - To reshuffle the cabinet to show that Harapan has a high-performance cabinet Muhyiddin proposed that Harapan should work towards recovering to a level of 60 percent approval rating within a year’s time. After the special meeting and as Parliament went into recess, Muhyiddin went for a year-end overseas trip in late December and part of January. He returned looking very fresh and he was in very good health. Mohamad Sabu met Muhyiddin on January 22, 2020. Their meeting left the former with a very strange feeling. The then defence minister confided with me that he was worried that Muhyiddin had a new idea that was against the basic principles of Harapan. It seemed that Muhyiddin was thinking of some form of Malay unity government and he was no longer keen on Anwar becoming the next PM. On January 31, I attended a Chinese New Year event with Muhyiddin in Grisek in his Pagoh constituency. Subsequently, I visited Muhyiddin at his house for a long chat on February 5. He was very friendly to me, as always. But I detected a change in his view. For him, if nothing was changed in Harapan, then Bersatu would lose badly in the next general election. I gave him a counterview that Bersatu would be eaten up alive by Umno and PAS in any form of Malay unity coalition, hence the best partner for Bersatu was the DAP as there would be little competition in seats.
UMNO's voice is getting louder each day...
That day I went away with a feeling that something strange had happened, something had changed in him but I believed he was still weighing his options. I thought that the honourable Muhyiddin who always saw the larger picture and was prepared to concede to Mahathir in 2017 would probably still be there. I hoped that the Muhyiddin who repeatedly thought of quitting would not be tempted by worldly positions but would think about his legacies. But he is only human. Perhaps the temptation was so great he couldn’t resist anymore. Perhaps his frustration with Mahathir, the prompting of the Malay troika of Azmin, Hishammuddin and Hamzah and his own ultimate ambition of becoming PM finally tilted him towards the Sheraton political coup on February 23. I am sad that my elderly friend Muhyiddin has chosen this path. His good deeds in the epic fight against Najib Razak’s kleptocracy are now giving way to an image of power-grabbing without a legitimate cause. Perhaps Dr Jekyll has been transformed into Mr Hyde. Some leaders and supporters of the Muhyiddin-led loose coalition Perikatan Nasional are back with their old nasty tactic of vilifying the DAP in their attempt to inflame racial hatred. Let me just say this to my elderly friend Muhyiddin. I am a DAP member. In four years between 2016 and 2020, each time you asked DAP for help, we never failed you, we did everything possible to assist you. Playing the anti-DAP card to justify the existence of the Perikatan Nasional coalition would only make you seem hypocritical.  - Liew Chin Tong,mk

Cukuplah sekali dibelit ulaq sawa....
Baca kenyataan penuh Mukhriz...
Tanpa penjelasan beliau dilihat cuba mengadakan cerita. - mso

Our only choice is Harapan, return
to the right path - Mukhriz tells Bersatu...
Bersatu should realise that the party's best choice is to stand with Pakatan Harapan and its leaders should return to the right path, said Bersatu deputy president Mukhriz Mahathir. Mukhriz, who is Kedah menteri besar, had maintained the Harapan government in the state despite party president Muhyiddin Yassin pulling Bersatu out of the coalition. All other Harapan governments in Bersatu-led states had fallen to Perikatan Nasional, the new coalition which Muhyiddin formed with PKR defectors, BN, PAS, GPS and other minor parties to take power. "In my opinion, Bersatu only has one choice and that is to return to Harapan," he said in a statement today. Mukhriz said the two months in which Bersatu had cooperated with Umno had been a bitter experience. He pointed out that Bersatu local councillors had been dropped in several states while in Kedah, where Harapan remains in control under his leadership, maintains status quo. He also highlighted Umno deputy president Mohamad Hassan's statement indicating that PN merely existed in name as it was nothing more than to replace the Harapan government. Mohamad had said the only political cooperation is between Umno and PAS, dubbed "Muafakat Nasional", as well as its BN allies, and that Umno did not have any formal agreement with others in PN, despite being part of the same government. Mohamad had also indicated that Umno, which had clashed with Bersatu in most seats during the last general election, intends to defend those constituencies. Mukhriz said based on the statement by various Umno leaders, it was clear that PN did not exist despite being in government. "Arrogance. That sums up Umno's attitude towards Bersatu," he said.
Old hands ready to pounce...
Camaraderie in Harapan In contrast, he said there was camaraderie when Bersatu joined forces with PKR, DAP, Amanah and Warisan to bring down the "kleptocratic" BN government in the 14th general election. "The experience of close cooperation in the face of great adversity during the 14th general election built up strong and sincere camaraderie between the Harapan components and Warisan at the time," Mukhriz said. Considering the current situation, Mukhriz said Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin, who is also the Bersatu president, must provide answers to Bersatu members. Mukhriz claimed several promises Muhyiddin had made to Bersatu to convince its leadership to quit Harapan were now unfulfilled but did not disclose what they were. "The promises were those he made to the Bersatu supreme council and MPs. It formed the basis for his argument that Bersatu must leave Harapan as soon as possible and form a new coalition with Umno and PAS. "Those questions are in the minds of every Bersatu member. If they are not answered, it will cause confusion and suspicion," he said. Likewise, he said Bersatu also had to consider the political realities that the party shares the same base as Umno and PAS. "Everyone is aware that the three parties represent Malays and Muslims. Their political base is the same - Malays, particularly in rural areas. "Therefore, Bersatu, Umno and PAS will surely want to contest in constituencies with the same democracy. All these parties had clashed in the same constituencies during the last general election. "So what is Bersatu's chances to win the seats if it faces Umno and PAS without an agreement? "If Bersatu is not with Muafakat Nasional nor with Harapan, then is it logical that Bersatu can win any seats?" he said.
Political realities An example, he said, was the Ketereh parliamentary seat where Umno's Annuar Musa had managed to defeat Bersatu's Mohd Radzi Jidin and PAS' Wan Ismail Wan Jusoh. Mukhriz pointed out that under the PN government, both Annuar Musa and Mohd Radzi have been made ministers. "Who will be the candidate for the seat in the next general election? Or are both of them going to compete for the seat despite being part of the same PN government?" He said a similar situation could happen in Muhyiddin's Pagoh seat and other Bersatu constituencies such as Tambun (Ahmad Faizal Azumu), Alor Gajah (Mohd Redzuan Md Yusof) and Titiwangsa (Rina Harun). Therefore, Mukhriz said Muhyiddin should explain Bersatu's future in the 15th general election or whether the current arrangement is merely a "marriage of convenience". "Isn't Bersatu's fate much better with Harapan? Several Harapan leaders have indicated their readiness to accept Bersatu back. "Even though our relationship has been hurt by the 'Sheraton Move', it can still be healed in the interest of the country. "We can negotiate seat distribution (for the general election) like before so that we can share our strength to win over the people. "At least we can defend Bersatu's interest with Harapan compared to the uncertainties, risks and losses with Umno and PAS," he said. "I am confident the current political, health and economic crises plaguing the country can be properly resolved by the unity government which (Bersatu chairperson) Dr Mahathir Mohamad had proposed. "If the elected representatives in Bersatu agree with me, then please return to the right path. "At least you can restore Bersatu's honour and sustainability. I pray that Allah will show you the direction," he said. Bersatu is presently split between its president Muhyiddin and Mahathir. The Harapan government collapsed in late February after Muhyiddin took Bersatu out of the coalition and joined forces with a group of PKR defectors led by former PKR deputy president, Azmin Ali. Together with the Opposition, they formed the new PN government. Mahathir had indicated he plans to wrest back control of the party in the next Bersatu election. - mk
Why did the government
decide to relax the MCO?...
1. MCOs are not to end COVID but flatten the curve. And we have. We flatten the curve to ensure health systems are protected and able to cope. 2. Our health systems can cope. More than enough ventilators etc. Utilisation capacity now only 30% and in fact KKM starting to give front liners leave. Most cases >80% are mild. 3.  COVID will not end for next two years. There will be small spikes and must not panic but aggressive tracing and quarantine and treatment. 4. When there is a spike in an area an enhance MCO very localised to the area can be implemented immediately. 5. Enforcement will be important to ensure compliance. Both from government but also self enforcement - individual, community, companies. 6. Pandemics can be ended only when whole of society participated and is empowered. If you see something say something. Report to the police etc. 7. Economic impact and mental health is important. We have to face the bitter challenges of MCO and COVID but only if we pull together in the same direction we can win this. 8. The new normal is a reality. Stay home as much as you can. Keep a safe distance and wear a mask. 9. We need to live with COVID. Just as we need to live with dengue.  All the preventive measures and early detection and treatment. 10. A vaccine at earliest may be available next year. Herd immunity is questionable as data on antibodies is still showing low conversion rate. So travel is limited. 11. Don’t compare Malaysia with Hokkaido. When they opened up they didn’t protect borders. Malaysia is protecting her borders. This is critical and one of requisites of WHO.  We have taken steps beyond what was done in Japan as we have learnt from their experience. 12. The report by Chinese experts who came said we are ready. According to WHO criteria we have met most of them. Government is also taking active steps to strengthen the border. - Dr.JemilahMahmood, PM’s special advisor on public health.

We are better without him. The only reason kenapa Supreme Leader suka dengan pimpinan Amanah ialah kita tak ganggu plan dia hendak berkuasa selama-lamanya. - Mohd Mukhlis Mohd Sharif
UMNO men on trial
may see charges dropped...
Former prime minister Datuk Seri Najib Abdul Razak (pix) and others now facing corruption charges may yet get away scot free. There is every possibility that the charges could be dropped, according to legal experts theSun spoke to yesterday. Constitutional law expert Prof Datuk Dr Shad Saleem Faruqi said under Article 145 of the Federal Constitution, the attorney-general (AG) has the power to discontinue proceedings in the trials. Former prime minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad had earlier claimed that with Umno back in power, their leaders now tied up in court could be set free. He said this was not a new phenomenon. “Court decisions were consistently manipulated before Pakatan Harapan (PH) came into power,” he said. “The court may find it embarrassing to take action against the (new) government. We have seen this before during Najib’s time,” he said at a press conference yesterday. “He was able to manipulate the court, even influence decisions made by the court,” Mahathir added. Saleem Faruqi said under Article 145 (3A) of the constitution, the AG has the discretion to institute, conduct or discontinue any proceedings for an offence other than proceedings before a syariah court, a native court or a court martial. “It displays flaws in the Federal Constitution and provides the AG with absolute power, giving him the discretion to decided whether to institute, conduct or discontinue any proceedings. “In our history, in many instances where people were prosecuted or the prosecution had commenced, and when the political development took place, the charges were not proceeded with,” Saleem Faruqi said yesterday. “For example, between 2008 and 2009, various charges preferred against some assemblymen were dropped because the politics changed,” he added.
He said the previous government had promised to look into amending the constitution but at this point the promise cannot be kept. In its manifesto, PH also pledged to amend the constitution but has yet to get a two-thirds majority (in Parliament) as required under Article 159(3).
Lawyer Fahri Azzat said there is fear among the people that if a new AG is appointed, he would withdraw all criminal proceedings against the politicians. As an example, he pointed out that graft charges against Lim Guan Eng were dropped after he was appointed finance minister. “There is a real possibility of this happening again,” he added. On the other hand, law expert Prof Datuk Salleh Buang said while the AG has the discretion, there is little possibility of the charges being dropped. “The trial has gone some distance,” he noted. Nonetheless, he said witnesses for the 1MDB trial who have yet to be called to testify may now feel intimidated. “Some of them may suddenly forget (the facts),” he said. Najib is currently on trial for multiple charges of corruption and abuse of power involving 1Malaysia Development Berhad and SRC International. Other Umno leaders, including current president Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi and Datuk Seri Tengku Adnan Tengku Mansor, have also been charged with offences. - theSundaily
PM Muhyiddin Has To Constantly
Watch His Back For Traitors...
There’s good news and bad news. First, the bad news – Muhyiddin Yassin is now officially the 8th Prime Minister of Malaysia. The good news – he has disputable majority. No matter how you argue, Mr. Muhyiddin, arguably the 1st premier of a backdoor government, has taken over a very unstable government at a time when the global economy is at the mercy of Coronavirus. He only commanded a razor-thin 114-majority in a 222-seat Parliament, if indeed he had that number in the first place. The simple fact that the March 9 Parliamentary Assembly meeting may be postponed is the strongest sign that the newly crowned Muhyiddin might have stolen and scammed his way to the throne. He dares not face a vote of confidence challenge proposed by a furious Mahathir. Despite claiming that he has the support of 115 MPs, former PM Mahathir apparently failed to meet the Agong (King) to present his case. And the 94-year-old man said he feels most betrayed by Muhyiddin. His anger was so uncontrollable that he didn’t actually blame his former blue-eyed boy Azmin Ali, the former PKR deputy president who joined forces with Muhyiddin in the latest coup. For that reason alone, Muhyiddin should definitely be worried as the vengeful Mahathir will certainly give him hells. But was Mahathir really that innocent himself? Long story short, it appeared that Mahathir had agreed, at least in principle, to an initial plan to betray fellow allies PKR, DAP and Amanah, but along the way he was betrayed by his own ambitious lieutenant Muhyiddin instead. On Sunday (March 1), Mahathir revealed that he had urged his party president Muhyiddin Yassin to wait till after the criminal trials of UMNO leaders (obviously referring to Najib Razak, Ahmad Zahid Hamidi and Tengku Adnan) were resolved before considering cooperation with UMNO. “Muhyiddin said he was willing to accept UMNO en bloc. I said I could not agree,” – said Mahathir. That statement alone confirms what we published in November 2019 that Mahathir will not step down until Najib is sent to prison. It also agrees with an article we published in December 2019 that Mahathir’s endgame was to rejoin or merge with UMNO after Najib is imprisoned. The reason is pretty simple – only by merging or joining UMNO can Bersatu becomes a dominant Malay political party.
 Muhyiddin and Perikatan Nasional
Did you notice that throughout the 7-day crisis, the name of Mukhriz Mahathir was largely absent, until now? Yes, the initial plot hits a roadblock after UMNO got greedy and started making unrealistic demands, including the appointment of corrupt leaders like Zahid Hamidi and Tengku Adnan as senior ministers in the new government. Mahathir disagreed and abandoned the plan. That was when Muhyiddin executed his plot within a plot. He took charge of the evil scheme and continued working with opposition UMNO Malay nationalist party and PAS Islamist party. Tricked by his own lieutenant, Mahathir felt betrayed because not only he could no longer be a prime minister, his son Mukhriz would be excluded and left in the wilderness. If Mahathir was not part of the initial plot at all, he would have sounded the alarm the moment he learned about the plot and started rallying fellow allies of the Pakatan Harapan coalition and Sarawak-based GPS and Sabah-based Warisan to thwart the coup. Of course, as far as Mahathir is concerned, it’s always other people’s fault and not his after things went south. Muhyiddin Yassin - Surrounded By Sharks But despite succeeded in grabbing the throne, Muhyiddin has plunged himself into a small pond filled with hungry sharks. Even within the Pakatan Harapan coalition, there were already at least four tigers which fought on a small hill – Mahathir, Anwar, Azmin and Muhyiddin. You don’t need a rocket scientist to tell that the situation in Perikatan Nasional will be worse. Sharks like Azmin Ali, Zahid Hamidi, Hishammuddin Hussein, Khairy Jamaluddin, Hadi Awang and even Najib Razak (did someone mention Rosmah Mansor?), just to name a few, will constantly circle around Muhyiddin for blood. The newly installed premier knew very well that those ambitious warlords could do to him what he had done to Mahathir. Muhyiddin has just demonstrated that in UMNO political theatre and culture (all of them were cut from the same cloth, mind you), there’s no such thing as principle or dignity or redline that cannot be crossed. It’s all about the greed and lust for power. If the price is right, they won’t think twice about selling their wives or daughters. Mahathir should be proud that his previous 22-year-rule has produced such talents.
Muhyiddin Yassin and Zahid Hamidi
Now that the new government is dominated by almost 100% ethnic Malays only, Muhyiddin government cannot blame the minorities, especially the Chinese, for whatever problems they will face at a later stage. Even PAS Islamist party talks about the economy and so-called “healing the nation”, whatever that means, and not about Hudud Law or Islamic supremacy as they used to trumpet. Muhyiddin’s survival is at the mercy of UMNO. In fact, the so-called Malay-only government will crumble like a house of cards if any of the components pulls out. Not only will Muhyiddin do everything in his power to ensure crooks like Zahid Hamidi and Tengku Adnan walk away scot free from their existing criminal charges, he has to reward them with senior ministerial posts – including deputy prime minister. Indirectly, Muhyiddin is also under Sarawak-based GPS’ threat to honour the state’s rights under Malaysian Agreement 1963 as well as the demand to pay the Sarawak sales tax on petroleum products. The GPS (Gabungan Parti Sarawak) revealed that it switched its support from Mahathir to Muhyiddin because the former premier had been “indecisive” – suggesting that GPS could switch sides anytime again. Eventually, Muhyiddin has to merge his Bersatu party (if he still can claim ownership of the party founded by Mahathir) with UMNO and traitor Azmin Ali’s faction to create a dominant party. Minus six MPs aligned to Mahathir’s camp, Muhyiddin’s Bersatu is a small party (19 MPs) in comparison to UMNO (39 MPs), PAS (18 MPs) and Azmin’s gang of traitors (11 MPs). The ideal configuration is to enlarge UMNO like it was during its glory period where it possessed in excess of 80 MPs and dominated more than 90% of the Cabinet portfolios. But a reunion back to UMNO itself is a tricky business as everyone would be fighting tooth and nail for positions. Besides, the bargaining power is always stronger as a leader of a party because they can easily defect, bringing together all the MPs. To make matters worse for Muhyiddin, he has only 3 years before the 15th General Election to prove that his government is better than his predecessor Najib’s and Mahathir’s Pakatan Harapan. Therefore, he has to quickly instil confidence that his government is legitimate and stable. He cannot forever run away from facing a confidence vote in the House of Representative. In the same breath, it’s absolutely possible that Mahathir could be persuaded to return home to Bersatu. The old man could be offered a Minister Mentor position with a powerful advisory role to feed his ego, and stop him from creating havocs outside as the Opposition. That can be done under the pretext of Malay unity and dignity. For that to work, at least Najib Razak or Zahid Hamidi has to be sacrificed. - FT

Game dah over kah...
Game dah over kah....
Anwar, pesaing terdekat Muhyiddin, kini hanya mendapat sokongan 92 wakil rakyat Pakatan Harapan.
- mk
Semuas jangan sedap sangat..
- A Kadir Jasin
Cuba lihat Parti Bersatu.. Asalnya depa hanya menang 13 Kerusi masa PRU 14..

GPS + Warisan pun kena setuju, off course they will request for all the Ministry in exchange for the vote.
But when this happen, penyokong akan marah sebab pakatan mereka ada pengkhianat. I just dont see how this going to work. Not sure who's manifesto that they will deliver. But economy will go down to the drain. PH can and should be able to survive this as opposition.
Tumblr media
Should be a solid simple majority government...
For scenario 3, Hanya UMNO H20 masuk ker kem Bersatu Shereton, masih boleh tubuh kerajaan.
Now everything hangs on the balance. - Mohd Mukhlis Mohd Sharif
Perlu diingat, GPS dan beberapa parti Borneo bersama dgn Tun atas dasar blok Tun tiada sokongan MN (yang memilih bubar sebelum ini)..
Now MN bersama blok Bersatu, dan mungkin Warisan..
HARAPAN + GPS + beberapa serpihan = Simple Majority - f/bk
As at 9.30 pm 28/02/2020...
With backing from UMNO/PAS,
Muhyiddin set to be next PM...
After retracting its support for Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad as Prime Minister candidate, the Muafakat Nasional coalition — comprising Umno and PAS — have now pledged their support for Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia president Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin for the top government post.
"Umno (with 39 MPs) and PAS (with 18 MPs) as the Muafakat Nasional coalition have agreed to nominate Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin, Pagoh MP (Bersatu) as the 8th prime minister for the consideration of the Duli Yang Maha Mulia Seri Paduka Baginda Yang Di-Pertuan Agong," the two parties said in a joint statement this afternoon.
Coupled with the support of 36 lawmakers from Bersatu announced earlier today, this brings the number of MPs backing the former Home Minister to 93, which is just 19 seats short of the 112 simple majority.
The statement did not include other Barisan Nasional component parties namely MIC and MCA, each with one and two MPs respectively.
Gabungan Parti Sarawak, which holds 18 seats, is understood to be backing Muhyiddin and is expected to announce its support.
The Pakatan Harapan coalition meanwhile nominated PKR president Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim for the premiership. The coalition controls 92 seats in the Dewan Rakyat. - theedge

The Triangle Power Struggle – Mahathir Trapped Himself By Announcing His Refusal To Work With UMNO...
Like the Chinese ancient Romance of the Three Kingdoms, Malaysia’s current political crisis has transformed into three major coalitions fighting for the throne. The triangle power struggle consists of Mahathir’s coalition (63 MPs), Anwar’s coalition (92 MPs) and BN-PAS’ coalition (61 MPs). None of them has the magic number of 112 MPs required to form a simple-majority government. The current situation is so fluid – and exciting – that any articles written could be obsolete by the time it’s published. Just when it was thought that Mahathir Mohamad, the 7th prime minister who suddenly resigned, but appointed by the Agong (King) as the interim prime minister, would be crowned again as the 8th prime minister, it’s now possible that the 94-year-old man could be jobless. And all that could happen within this week alone. The triangle power struggle emerges primarily because Mahathir wanted to create what is known as a “unity government”, an ideal government where all the good, bad and ugly politicians from both sides of the political divide have a chance to be included in the government. In short, it’s one big happy family without the Opposition. Unfortunately, there’s one huge problem. The country is plagued with racism, discrimination, extremism, xenophobia and all forms of bigotry that you can find in the dictionary, thanks to over 60 years of one-party rule. Coincidentally, Mahathir, the man who now wants a unity government is also the same man who had spent more than a third of those 60 years destroying the once harmony country. It’s not hard to understand why so many people distrust Mahathir to lead a unity government. He was the man who practised dictatorial-style leadership and gerrymandering and misused institutional tools to manipulate an electoral process to stay in power for 22 years (from 1981 to 2003). And now he expects people to give him a blank cheque to rule until his death like Peter the Great? Anwar’s Pakatan Harapan (PH) coalition refuses to work with BN-PAS coalition and vice-versa. Both coalitions accuse each other of being racist, extremist and whatnot. At the same time, Mahathir appeared in television yesterday (Feb 26) saying UMNO (a component party of BN) cannot join his unity government. The old man, however, welcome UMNO members but not UMNO party.
Pakatan Harapan
Therefore, all bets were off. The alliance of BN (Barisan Nasional) and PAS Islamist party immediately withdrew their support for Mahathir as the leader of the country. To make matters worse for Mahathir, Anwar’s PH coalition also made a stunning U-turn about supporting the old man after he refused to chair the Harapan presidential council meeting on Tuesday (Feb 25). Mahathir’s refusal to attend the meeting means he had no intention of restoring the previous PH-led government, which also means all the pre-election manifesto would be thrown into the trash bin. Mahathir only wants PH’s powerful bloc of 92 votes, but not the manifesto. He wanted the free hand to explore a new unprecedented political landscape that has not been tested. Hence, the remaining component parties of PH (Pakatan Harapan) – PKR, DAP and Amanah – were left with no choice but to nominate PKR president Anwar Ibrahim as the next prime minister. In what appears to be proof that the coup circus was orchestrated by Mahathir himself, the old fox has today decided to return back to his party Bersatu and resumes his chairmanship. Mahathir’s support came from Bersatu (25 MPs), Azmin Ali and his 10 PKR traitors (11 MPs), Sarawak-based GPS (18 MPs) and Sabah-based Warisan (9 MPs). Yes, despite whining and crying about being backstabbed by Azmin, astonishingly, the former deputy PKR president is about to join Bersatu, which would enlarge Mahathir’s party to 36 MPs, just 3 seats less than UMNO. One of the reasons Pakatan Harapan decided to nominate Anwar, instead of Mahathir as promised earlier, was that the former premier appeared to have trapped himself when he announced to the world that there’s no way he can work with the corrupt UMNO party. That would mean Mahathir will not be able to leverage on BN-PAS’ 61 MPs to achieve his ambitious unity government. That explains why Anwar’s coalition was incredibly happy when they went to see the King yesterday. Pakatan Harapan’s 92 MPs have a superior number than Mahathir’s 63 MPs. For Mahathir to go back to UMNO and beg for support would be extremely humiliating. Anwar probably was betting that Mahathir would be forced to rejoin PH coalition – quite a clever strategy.
In the eventuality that Mahathir abandons or modify his unity government concept to suit PH’s agenda, everything would be back to its previous configuration, allowing the PH coalition to rule again. Anwar’s camp was also betting that Mahathir would not dare go for a snap election, as doing so would certainly allow the return of BN – and Najib Razak – to the federal government. But it seems Anwar had chosen to count his chickens before they hatch – again. Mahathir, in his desperation, may go bonkers and work with UMNO after all. The state of Johor has already collapsed after Mahathir’s party decided to work with UMNO in forming a new state government – another betrayal. Without approval from the top, Bersatu Johor will not dare switch sides. After meeting with the King today, Mahathir pre-emptively revealed that a special Dewan Rakyat sitting will be convened on March 2 to see who will be the next prime minister. Mr. Mahathir has also confirmed that Bersatu (PPBM) president Muhyiddin Yassin will be one of the candidates to be offered as the prime minister in the Lower House of Representative. The biggest giveaway that Mahathir was the hidden hand behind the recent coup to topple his own Pakatan Harapan government is that he now says he can accept if Muhyiddin wants to work with UMNO en bloc. Exactly how could he return to his party after allegedly being betrayed by Muhyiddin, let alone endorsing his lieutenant’s plan to join forces with UMNO? Now that the King has told Mahathir to fly kite with his unity government, the old fox is tangled in his own web of deceit. If indeed he was betrayed by Muhyiddin and Azmin, he could easily ordered Sarawak-based GPS (18 MPs) and Sabah-based Warisan (9 MPs) to support Anwar’s coalition, instantly gives Pakatan Harapan a comfortable simple majority of 119 parliamentary seats.
Even the idea of going to the Dewan Rakyat to elect among its members a prime minister is unconstitutional. The King must first appoint a prime minister among the 222 MPs whom in his judgement is likely to command the confidence of the majority. The Lower House of Representative is just a place to test whether an “existing” premier enjoys the majority support.
Lim Guan Eng with Anwar Ibrahim and Mat Sabu
Obviously, Muhyiddin is the backup plan. The party’s bloc of 63 MPs, if combined with UMNO-PAS’ 61 MPs, will be sufficient to form a new government with a majority of 124 parliamentary seats. However, that depends on whether UMNO-PAS is ready to play ball. Based on UMNO’s current preparation for a snap election, it doesn’t seem so. The Johor move was a gift to impress upon UMNO-PAS to support Muhyiddin as the next prime minister, instead of Anwar Ibrahim. The wisdom behind that was that if Muhyiddin fails to win the beauty contest in the Dewan Rakyat, then a snap election will be called. If that happens, the state of Johor won’t matter because Bersatu on its own will be wiped out completely. Anwar’s Pakatan Harapan has until March 2 to swing kingmakers Sarawak-based GPS (18 MPs) and Sabah-based Warisan (9 MPs) to his camp. He could, for example, offer deputy prime minister posts for them. Anwar probably should call Mahathir’s bluff that he’s willing to let crooks like Najib Razak and Zahid Hamidi free after all the efforts he had done to prosecute them. When Mahathir decided to play the coup game, there’s no turning back. This is perhaps his final war for glory, or death. The 94-year-old fox will play all his trump cards to win the throne. However, there’s something that Mahathir can never possess – the awesome brotherhood and loyalty displayed by Anwar Ibrahim, Lim Guan Eng and Mat Sabu (all of them were once prisoners of Mahathir) – built since 1998. - FT

KEBIADAPAN SAIFUDDIN HINA PENYAKIT PM 8 DIKECAM NETIZEN .

Politik tu tentang perebutan number bukan populariti...
Politik tu tentang perebutan number bukan populariti....
Takkan jawatang Menteri Pertanian saja kot, malulah kawe ooi!!!...
Geng2 Pok Lebai dah pun bagi notis kat Din...kasi uplah cikit...
Hambo dengar pulak, dua orang MP Amanah akan turut dilantik jadi menteri dalam kerajaan Din.... Iaitu... er... ok, tak payah sebut nama lah... sebab ada conflict of interest, cewah.
Hambo dengar, dua orang MP Amanah akan turut dilantik jadi menteri dalam kerajaan Muhyidin.... Iaitu... er... ok, tak payah sebut nama lah... sebab ada conflict of interest... Kalau betul begitu, kalau betul, kalau....
Orang tamak selalu rugi. - Mohd Mukhlis Mohd Sharif
A king overturns a historic election...
In 2018 Malaysians ousted not just a party that had ruled for six decades but a corrupt old order. A monarch’s act threatens to return it to power...
In a world where rulers with authoritarian and nationalist instincts have been steadily curbing political freedoms, the election of a multiracial reformist coalition in Malaysia two years ago was a heartening victory for democracy. Voters in 2018 threw out the United Malays National Organisation (UMNO), which had run Malaysia for 61 years and had, under prime minister Najib Razak, become a venal operation that stayed in power by stirring communal tensions and locking up critics. Unfortunately, UMNO is now on the brink of returning to office thanks to a royal coup enabled by hubris and infighting.
At the heart of the story is the distrust between Mahathir Mohamad, the 94-year-old founding father of modern Malaysia, and his political rival and presumed successor, Anwar Ibrahim. These were the dominant figures of the Pakatan Harapan, the unwieldy coalition that had won the shock electoral victory in 2018. They fell out during a power struggle 20 years ago when Dr Mahathir was prime minister and Mr Anwar his deputy. That episode ended badly for Mr Anwar who went to prison on trumped-up sodomy charges, when his only offence was being charismatic and intelligent. Yet by 2018 they were reunited as political allies and defeated a kleptocratic government. Mr Mahathir became prime minister and Mr Anwar returned to parliament.
The doubts and suspicions between the two men saw them struggle to introduce reforms and the economy spluttered. Old power brokers remained in place, biding their time until there was an opportunity to strike. That moment arose last month, when Dr Mahathir seemed to think he was being undermined and abruptly resigned. Yet the threat within was not from Mr Anwar, but rather Dr Mahathir’s deputy, Muhyiddin Yassin, who decided to walk out on his boss and leave the ruling coalition. Dr Mahathir had badly miscalculated in believing only he could hold the government together and would thereby be reappointed by the king, or Agong. In the event, the monarch passed over Dr Mahathir and decided to appoint the newly independent Mr Muhyiddin as prime minister, citing his ability to command a parliamentary majority.
UMNO is the biggest party in Mr Muhyiddin’s putative coalition. There are well-grounded fears that if Mr Muhyiddin ends up in charge Mr Najib will pull the strings. This is at a time when Mr Najib is on trial for corruption charges and his aim will be to get off the hook. Mr Muhyiddin ought to be forced to test his claim of a majority. If he does not then Dr Mahathir and Mr Anwar, who say they have the 112 votes needed for a majority, must be given a chance to form the government. The mood music suggests the Agong could instead prorogue parliament – or even dissolve it and call fresh elections. This would be a mistake, creating a vacuum for nationalist or religious demagogues to fill. A king has overturned a democractic election result that challenged a corrupt old order. This is wrong and the world ought to call it out. - The Guardian
Zahid Misled and  Insulted The Court,
And There’s Nothing The Judge Can Do...
In less than 24 hours after Muhyiddin Yassin was sworn in as the 8th Prime Minister of Malaysia, it appeared that abuse of power has already started. UMNO President Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, one of the newly crowned premier’s allies, behaving as if he is already the deputy prime minister, had requested the High Court to postpone his ongoing corruption trial. Zahid, who has been slapped with record 87 charges related to money laundering and corruption and criminal breach of trust (CBT) during the now-collapsed Pakatan Harapan coalition government, had yesterday (March 2) requested for a day off to allow him to meet Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin for negotiations to form a new Cabinet. It was a big lie. High Court judge Collin Lawrence Sequerah granted Zahid’s wish to be excused, with the presumption that the politician’s request was done in good faith. But when the PMO (Prime Minister Office) subsequently issued a statement to clarify that PM Muhyiddin did not have any scheduled meetings whatsoever with political leaders yesterday, the judicial system was humiliated The despicable Zahid had not only lied, but also insulted the High Court with his stunt. The judge immediately summoned the former deputy prime minister to clarify the matter. Deputy Public Prosecutor Raja Rozela Raja Toran, furious, had accused Zahid of making a “blatant lie” and intentionally misleading the court to get a day off, and in the process made a fool out of the prosecution. The prosecutor, justifying a move to cite Ahmad Zahid for contempt over the false statement, said – “That is a blatant lie to the court. I would like to move this court for contempt because the accused person has lied in court. This is unacceptable. We have been made to look like a fool. We took their word in good faith and this is what we get. I urge My Lord to exercise your discretion.” But the lying drama didn’t stop there. Zahid’s lawyer Hisyam Teh Poh Teik claimed that the defence had zero intention to mock or deceive the court. The lawyer even said that his client had indeed tried to meet the new prime minister, but unfortunately the premier had to rush to Muar, Johor. If that’s true, it goes to show that Muhyiddin couldn’t care less about his biggest partner in a fragile government.
Collin Lawrence Sequerah – High Court Judge
The Java-immigrant  had even offered to show proof in the form of a letter. Zahid told Judge Collin – “My Lord, I had received a letter from PMO. Normally in a new government, the possible party leaders have to negotiate the position of MPs to be appointed to Cabinet. That’s why discussion took place in PMO. There was a discussion. The letter had asked me to come around 12.30pm.” Giving Zahid the benefits of doubt, the judge then asked the UMNO president  to produce the so-called letter before the court today (March 3), the 19th day of Zahid’s trial involving 47 charges related to corruption, money laundering and criminal breach of trust (CBT). When the time came for him to produce the letter today, there were none. The crook had lied to the face of the judge. But the disgraced UMNO leader had cooked up a jaw-dropping excuse as to why he failed to produce the letter supposedly about a meeting between him and PM Muhyiddin. Zahid argued that because the prime minister’s political secretary has yet to be appointed officially, the letter could not be issued. If that’s true, then why Zahid had assured the court of the existence of the letter yesterday? It was like a bad student who habitually play truant had decided to skip school for a day but was caught red-handed. To escape punishment, he lied that he had an MC (medical certificate) to prove that he was indeed down with diarrhea. But when the clinic refused to sell him the certificate, he told the school that such MC cannot be produced because the doctor’s assistance has yet to be appointed. The so-called letter which Zahid said he had in his possession was never existed in the first place. How could he claim that the letter cannot be produced today because the prime minister’s political secretary has yet to be appointed, but yet a day earlier, he already knew of an appointment or a schedule to meet the prime minister? Even if the appointment to meet Muhyiddin was made unofficially or verbal, which is not because the PMO had denied such meetings, surely Zahid can differentiate between a physical letter and an electronic or voice message. To further insult and mock the judge’s intelligence, his lawyer even twisted this morning that his client had planned to meet with PM Muhyiddin, but was “late to Putrajaya”.
Zahid Hamidi
As a result, Zahid could only meet with Muhyiddin’s political secretary. Why the heck didn’t Zahid tell the court yesterday about this new tale, but instead cooked up the story about the letter? The story would be more convincing had he told the court yesterday that it was an ad-hoc meeting yesterday, but due to the horrible traffic he missed the prime minister by a few seconds. Ahead of the judge’s decision on whether to slap Zahid with contempt of court charges, the UMNO president profusely apologised to the High Court. Reading from a prepared note, he insisted that he had no intention to mislead the court and that he was very respectful of the judge and the honourable court. As predicted, the judge decided to let Zahid off with a mild warning. Judge Collin Lawrence Sequerah accepted Zahid’s lawyer’s explanation, despite its hilarious logic, that there was a misunderstanding due to the miscommunication between Zahid and his lawyers, and the wrong choice of words used when the defence requested for  the one-day postponement of the corruption trial. The judge warned that the court will not tolerate any future attempt to mislead. In reality, even if Zahid plans to mock and insult the High Court in a similar fashion in the future, what else could the judge do? Obviously, Judge Collin knew that the whole drama was a deliberate attempt to humiliate the judicial system as that was precisely what had happened in the past 61 years during the era of UMNO or Barisan Nasional regime. And all the crooks are back. The corrupt Zahid could be the new deputy prime minister under Muhyiddin’s shameless backdoor government. But even before he is officially appointed, he has abused his power by disrespecting the judicial system. The dark age of police brutality against peaceful protesters has already returned. The judge had no choice but to accept whatever bullshit stories shoved down his throat. - FT

Beruang Biru | BB731 Penafian : https://goo.gl/m2H63G
