Bahaha! 😂 I laughed so hard. My response was, "Don't worry, Kai. I can do both, my devil." 🤭 "Let me spoil you. I'm making you a cake anyway. You're welcome." 😘
@chainslobber @gamergirl-niffler @cherry-queens-blog @doumadono @fairymama624 @staitc-rj
Honestly, I didn't expect a different reaction out of him.

Stardew Valley mod rec compilation
this is a regular question asked on the discord so I wanted to put together my own constant pack to link.
These are NOT all mods I use. These are the mods I’m **completely confident **in recommending together, that definitely work well, combine well and won’t create any cognitive dissonance.
(Note that I’m not listing any prerequisites. Whichever mod you’re installing, you obviously need to install its prerequisites too)
(Most of these are on Nexus, but not all. MARGO is on GitHub, for example. Search on Nexus first, then duckduckgo or google it if it’s not there)
Utility if-you’re-modding: (mods that maybe won’t improve your game per se and you don’t want to install Just Them if you’re picking and choosing, but if you’re already using other mods, you want to look at these)
Advanced Save Backup (obvious function is obvious, don’t let mod fuckups permanently ruin your save)
Generic Mod Config Menu (absolutely mandatory if you’re installing like… >1 other mod)
CJB Cheats Menu + CJB Item Spawner (the more mods you have the more likely you’ll need this to recover after glitches. There are vanilla bugs you might want this to help you with too)
Jump Over (or noclip, in case you get stuck somewhere)
Mod Update Menu (fully optional, but might be nice)
Quality of Life (mods that I’m completely confident work well together and will improve your game withough particularly changing it. You do want to meddle in config for many of these though. Increase complexity at your own pace)
Action Sitting
After Midnight Speed Buff
Easy Coal
Balanced Quarry
Better Artisan Good Icons
Better Beehouses
Better Chests
Better Ranching (turn off “prevent failed harvesting” in config, add Fix Animal Tool Animations for that functionality instead)
Bigger Backpack
Collapse on Farm Fix
Destroyable Bushes
Gift Rejection
Grass Growth
Horse Overhaul - Immersive Scarecrows
Immersive Sprinklers
Lucky Rabbit’s Foot
Mail Services Mod
MARGO - Tweex, Tools and Ponds modules
Remember Birthdays
Robin Work Hours
Expanded Big Shed
Sturdier Saplings
Time Speed
Zoom Level
Friendship QoL: (I’m putting these into a separate category because they specifically make one thing easier and might be unbalanced together - but if you want lots of custom NPCs they might be necessary as a breath of air)
Part of the Community
Passive Friendship
Friend of a Friend
Visual (This is specifically the combination I use, that I know for a fact works well and looks good together. These are mods that don’t alter any mechanics or add any content and mostly don’t impact balance, they’re purely to make the game look better)
Custom Menu Background
Better Water
Cuter Coops and Better Barns or Coop and Barn Facelift
Darker Vanilla Crops
Darker Vanilla Forage
Dynamic Night Time
Dynamic Reflections
Happy Fish Jump
Iridium Sprinkler Desaturated or Burnished Bronze Iridium Sprinkler
Less Ugly Spouse Rooms
Medieval Buildings
Simple Foliage
Skell’s Flowery Tools
Starry Night Interface (deleted from Nexus)
Vintage Interface (and this if you’re using Bigger Backpack)
Vibrant Pastoral Recolor
Way Back Pelican Town
Wind Effects
Yri’s Modular Flowers
Eemie’s Dark Wood and Gold Craftables - Scarecrow and Rarecrow Recolors - Climates of Ferngill
Swimsuit Selection
Spritemaster, and you can turn off the smoothing just for faster rendering everywhere with no visual changes
Dialogue + NPCs (Thoroughly vetted - exclusively the mods that don’t create any contradictory lore, fit fully with vanilla, and might make you feel like vanilla was always intended to be this way)
Dusty Overhaul
Community Wednesdays and Community Center Reimagined
David the Hamster
Demetrius Visits Farm Cave Redux
Diverse Stardew Valley
the ethnic wedding outfit collection (Emily Ukrainian Wedding Dress and others with the same naming scheme, entering “wedding” into search is a good way to find these)
Haley Reads Magazines (plug of my own mod)
Immersive Spouses
Jean and Jorts
Social Haley
Unlikely Friends
Immersive Sandy
Make the game more fun (This is a fairly diverse category - these are the mods that will substantially alter the game and give it a decidedly non-vanilla feel and balance, but that I’m willing to vouch for as fun, non-conflicting, non-glitchy and not making your life harder. Some of them are smaller than others)
Walk to Desert Redux
Archery + Archery starter pack
Artista
Cape Stardew
Cat gifts
Deep Woods
Farmhouse visits
Festival of the Mundane
Hot Spring Farm Cave (or another farm cave mod)
If It Fits I Sits
Improved Cindersap Forest (plug of my own mod)
Like a Duck to Water
Lost in the Mountains (or another custom farm map mod) (plug of my own mod)
MARGO - Combat, Professions and Taxes modules
Stardew Druid
Swim Mod
Wren’s Expanded Greenhouse (or another greenhouse mod)
Animals Need Water
Even More Secret Woods
NPC Adventures (and content packs for it)
Map Editor Extended
Free Love pack (This is for the people who think SV is nice in allowing the player to date multiple people, but unnecessarily restrictive in allowing them to only marry one of them. I’m putting other romance/marriage/parenthood mods in this category also) necessary: (these are the mods you need to make a multi-spouse household function smoothly, period. Need extensive configuring, usually, so pay attention when you install them)
Bed Tweaks
Custom Spouse Patio Redux (this one can glitch, but Map Editor Extended has fixed it for me fine every time)
Custom Spouse Rooms
Free Love
Wedding Tweaks optional: (these are the mods that can substantially improve your personal life if you’re into them, but Free Love functions fine without them)
Platonic Partners and Friendships
Bachelors and Bachelorettes stay friends
Fourteen Heart Events for All
Gender Neutrality Mod
Not In Here By Yourself (plug of my own mod)
Hugs and Kisses
Multiple Spouse Dialogs (+Tia’s and Liliet’s packs for it) (plug of my own mod uwu)
Planned Parenthood
Swimsuit Selection
Unique Children
Unique Children Talk - T’s Spouse Room

Happy 10th birthday to my main, Quest Completer! The Vestige, the Hero of Coldharbour, Savior of Tamriel and Nirn, The Soulless, Moon-Hallowed, High King's Arrow, Eye of the Queen, Ahkatuz, Champion of dozens of dignitaries, deities, and political factions, and of course, Grand Master Crafter! Here she is with the senche-tiger she got for being old.
All of my characters have silly names like this, but unlike Quest Completer, the rest of them all have lore-appropriate 'real' names in my mind. The rest of them are people with fleshed-out backstories and reasons why they became Heroes. But QC is just The Vestige, the one without a soul (or a personality to speak of) and no memory of the past. The Vestige asks a ton of dumbass questions, such as "what does a queen do, exactly?", and in my mind this is because, while saving all of existence is a mundane occurrence to them, they are forever figuring out how to exist in a totally unfamiliar world while also being among the most powerful people in its history.
Because of that, and because the Vestige's dialogue contains very little emotion or humor, in my mind QC is basically No Fun and allows herself little ostentation. Even her whimsy, she takes deadly seriously, like she always has a great costume for themed dungeon runs, but she's lowkey competitive about having the best fit. She's a dual-wielding stamina-based Aedric Spear Templar DPS—about as basic as it gets, but she doesn't care about that; it's a very effective way to do a lot of violence, you have to admit. Despite her litany of accomplishments, she enjoys simple pleasures, like moving furniture around 1 centimeter at a time, learning crafting recipes, and running around fields looking for things to harvest. This woman and Bastian Hallix are bffs for a reason.
I overhauled her look for the occasion. Here she is new armor goofin:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
And after 10 years I finally convinced her to get all dolled up for something other than a dungeon.
Tumblr media
ESO was my first MMO; I liked Skyrim (my first open-world RPG) so much that I bought a computer just to play ESO when it came out. QC was the first character I made, when I had no idea what a 'build' was. She is maxed out in every crafting skill and weapon skill line, and every morph of all of her Class skills. QC made it to Veteran Rank 16 before the Champion system was introduced. She is only just now doing the Craglorn quests because she reached the end of Cadwell's Silver and Cadwell's Gold (both required to advance) over a year before One Tamriel, and I didn't know anyone else playing ESO, so I couldn't access group content. QC is old enough to remember when it was a bizarre occurrence to see another player outside of a city (or at all at night, in the Pacific timezone). She's also old enough to remember picking up literally every single quest she came upon because there just weren't that many quests to do. She truly is the Quest Completer.
QC and I learned how the fuck video games work together. Here's to another 10 years!

Kaimerra's Stardew Valley Modlist
Tumblr media
Here is my looong list of mods for my current SDV playthrough. I have a whole bunch already but I will probably keep updating this list as I go on...
Also, I'll work on adding more screenshots of some of the mods as well, I just don't remember to take pictures as often when I'm playing lol
Most of these mods can be found on Nexus however some of them may have been abandoned by the original creators but have unofficial updates found elsewhere. I'll mark these mods with an asterisk (*).
Make sure to check the dependencies/requirements of the mods you are downloading as some of them need other mods to function. Nexus shows you which mods you should already have before downloading a certain mod.
Feel free to reach out and ask me any questions you have about the mods I've listed below or about modding SDV in general
Quality of Life Mods
UI Info Suite 2* - adds useful info to your UI and when you hover on things; super essential in my opinion
Lookup Anything - lessens your trips to the SDV wiki and lets you lookup info from within the game
NPC Map Locations - shows where all the NPCs are on your map
Convenient Chests* - lets you categorize chests and quick-stash items into them
Convenient Inventory - lets you put away things from your inventory into nearby chests; also lets you favorite items in your inventory
Faster Path Speed - makes you faster when you walk on paths
Better Artisan Good Icons - changes all of the artisan goods sprites (wine, juice, pickles, roe, etc.) to show what kind of vegetable or fruit they are made of
Tidy Crafting Menu - arranges the crafting menu to make more sense and also gives you the options to change some of the crafting recipes for better balancing
Skip Intro - skips right to the game menu screen so you don't have to wait (every second counts!)
Gameplay & Dialogue
Stardew Valley Expanded (SVE) - adds a bunch of new characters, storyline, and other gameplay elements to the game! Highly recommend it if you've finished a playthrough of SDV and want to play the game like it's new again
Canon-Friendly Dialogue Expansion - adds more NPC dialogue
Happy Birthday - adds your birthday to the calendar; villagers will give you gifts on your birthday
UI Recolors
Vintage Interface v2 - gives the UI a more muted palette; this is the darker version, but a lighter version also exists
Maps
Grandpa's Farm - the farm map I'm currently using; goes with SVE and has a bunch of neat new stuff
Oasis Greenhouse - changes the layout of the greenhouse to have more space and include a cellar and hot spring
Map Recolors
DaisyNiko's Earthy Recolor - gives the world a more muted color palette
Rustic Country Town Interiors - gives the interiors of buildings a warmer, cozier palette
Medieval Stardew Valley Retextures
by Gweniaczek
Way Back Pelican Town - changes the look of the buildings all over town including the Calico Desert
Medieval SDV Expanded - changes the look of the buildings added by Stardew Valley Expanded
Medieval Buildings - changes the look of the buildings on your farm (farmhouse, coops, barns, silos, slime hutch, etc.)
Gwen's Medieval Graftables - changes the look of all craftable items
Cottagecore Fences - prettier fences
Gwen's Paths - prettier paths
Farmer/Player Mods
Female Famer Overhaul - adds a bunch of new hairs, shirts, pants, and more to the character creation of your farmer
NPC Sprites & Portraits
by Poltergeister and others
Seasonal Outfits - gives NPCs various outfits to fit with the seasons and events
Seasonal Outfits for SVE - does the same ↑ but for SVE characters
Animal Retextures
by Elle - gives the different animals in the game a cuter look
Dog Replacements
Cat Replacements
New Horses
New Coop Animals
New Barn Animals
Town Animals
Other Retextures/Recolors
Stardew Foliage Redone (Foliage Only) - changes up the look of the trees, bushes, and other flora within the world
Gorgeous Weapons - changes up the look of the weapons
Replacements for Iridium Tools - changes the look of the iridium tools (only) to match with the Gorgeous Weapons mod
Modern Gothic Interior - (use the non-CF version) gives all the furniture in your own house as well as other villagers' houses a gothic vibe
Scarecrow and Rarecrow Recolors - gives your scarecrows a more limited and muted color palette

I loved this prompt on Twitter but 99% of replies are basically "The same focus on rebuilding and decor that AC:NH had but in [an apartment | space | a mountain town]" so I wanted to move to Tumblr and see if anyone else had input!
Personally I think something that overhauls/improves the friendship mechanics would be good, and I'm going to spend an absurd amount of time talking it through here bc I like the topic and it's my blog 🔫
Core Mechanics:
The ability to foment friendships *between* villagers via Picnics- mini events you activate, and provide food, music, or outfits for!
More complex dialogue! Choices! This is hard to give details for but the true heart of this game type would be vastly improved dialogue options & conversation trees.
Different friendship improvement rates for different actions and villager types- grumpy villagers prefer gifts, sporty villagers like playing tag, cat villagers like to be gifted fish, etc- rather than all actions producing very similar outcomes.
Ability to "Invite a Villager Along" and have them trail after you as you fish, catch bugs, etc.
They will sometimes suggest improved lure designs, suggest where a rare bug/fish can be found, or go pop floating presents for you if you're busy. (To make this not be a farm, they also launch into conversation intermittently lol)
Can also invite villagers along to See a Concert (KK Slider). Possibly invite them shopping, if there's a kind of City Folk-esque main street.
Events:
Ability to plan birthday parties for villagers, as well as various holiday parties.
Lulls in the calendar can have randomly generated event needs, such as a Celebrate My Bugs Day for lazy villagers.
Instead of operating on a strict calendar, CJ and Flick can show up and need your help preparing for an impromptu competition the next day!
Villagers will occasionally bring you their [goldfish | snapping turtle | tarantula] and ask you to watch it while they go on vacation for 3 days. You have to feed it every day! If you forget, the vacationing villager will come back early and be very cross with you.
Clothing:
Everyone has already requested better fitting clothing for villagers, they should do that.
Add a relationship sim type tracking "journal" where you automatically note youre villagers likes and dislikes. Possibly kept simple by having a few specific loves and hates and otherwise being neutral.
As you become friends there's a UI mechanics during shopping where villager icons with different expressions appear along a side of the screen when you mouse over something they'd really love/hate.
Designing friendship braclets for villagers, or being able to collect them from friend villagers- cuter friendship commemoration than having a framed pic imo.
Alternatively, hitting max friendship with a villager provides a unique hat. Completionists nightmare but very funny.
Flowers:
Villager happiness affecting flower spawns!
Villagers that have favorite flower types, and if you plant a certain variety near the house of a friendly villager they'll have a higher chance of hybridizing.
Post Office/ Work:
Have a standalone post office, use as a friendship mechanic and an excuse to improve the letter and gift sending/receiving mechanics.
For a unique role/job that isn't just "Mayor/CEO 2.0", have the player delivering mail as a daily!
Possibly a very funny main game story where you're trying to stop Redd from selling forgeries through the mail.
Daily or weekly 'ads' from Nook Inc that give you discounts, or can add items to your catalog without actually ordering.
Anyways please provide me with your ideas!! Doesn't have to be in this vein, I just love discussing game design concepts lol

ANNOUNCEMENT: NOT A HELLO, BUT NOT A GOODBYE EITHER
omg hi ... im like . ashamed to come back after saying brief hiatus in october and then disappearing off the face of the earth til FEBRUARY but under the cut i will be explaining myself and the following, if youre interested (and a tl;dr at the very bottom if you don’t wanna scroll thru this obnoxiously long post):
the reason(s) i was gone for so long
what i was doing during that time (its just a personal account yall can scroll past this idrc)
the status of those um . halloween requests
the future of this account
i. so . Hiatus .
i know. i know . i probably mentioned it when i made the announcement post, but my mental health likes to go on one of those rides. yknow the ones where you go like up rlly fast then down maybe and then up then DOWN .... its like that. i needed a break and every time i wanted to come back or thought about it, something would happen and i would get stuck in my own head.
a big reason for getting stuck in my head was (and i hate to admit this ... i hate to admit that i have Insecurities On The Internet) my feelings of inadequacy regarding my writing. i love to plot fics, i love concepts and characters and making little headcanons but i dont ... know if i love writing rn. and i thought for the longest time that like . whatever ill just push thru it its fine ill be fine but it kinda wasnt lmao you can kinda see it in my halloween reqs and what become of them when i get to that but i began to feel like nothing i had put out or would put out would hold up prose wise (and normally i dont feel like this im much more “idc its my life im living it” but thats not a rant for tumblr LMAO). i still feel like that -- like im better as a reader than a writer. but . You Know :-)
tl;dr: mental state go brrrrr
ii. anywhere here’s wonderwall
when i left, i was in a steadily decreasing mental and emotional state, made worse by a situation at work that really was a case of petty jealousy on my end and rlly isnt very consequential now despite how much pain and resentment it gave me when it Was a problem so i wont get into it. the tl;dr of november and december was me using work as an crutch and distraction -- i know my job, i do it well, it helped me not think about my responsibilities and obligations and inadequacies. of course, as the holiday season grew busier n busier i was scheduled so often that i moved 88 or so miles (according to my apple watch, which i ONLY wear at work since im never anywhere else outside my house) and fell into a cycle of showering n sleeping at my house before going back the next day. (theres definitely something to be said abt capitalism and “grind culture” here but once again its not the time or place snsjkdfds)
at the turn of the new year, i happened to remember a birthday card i hadnt filed away for safekeeping from a friend of mine that id been horribly out of touch with til that point. i started crying because i realized how out of touch id been in general up until that point. the month of january was great for me: i was focused, happy, and in a much better place than i had been before. the end of it brought me down focus wise and im hoping that enough time away from my distractions will refocus me bc i ... need it LMAO and though ive burned out from that level of productivity and gotten distracted again im ... trying to stay positive which i think is the most i can do 😁👍🏼
media wise, i got real into stardew valley (but burned out bc i played it extensively as a way to wind down after work), the pokemon platinum romhack renegade platinum (still havent finished it bc of school n i played it w the intent to see if i could nuzlocke it ... bitch its so hard but its so fun bc of it), briefly assassins creed: odyssey (im one of those ppl who completes an entire region before i move to the next so you can tell i burned out of that one + wouldnt have the time to properly devote to it even if i didnt), got back into genshin impact after pulling for xiao (after not touching it for like . months), and danganronpa. yes . danganronpa 😐 i Know. i stopped playing it after the second trial of the first game bc i was so hurt by the outcome and picked it up in late january only to get sucked in (thank god i had the foresight to buy the second and third games during the steam winter sale). rn im at the start of chapter 4 if anyone wants to come in my asks and um . talk to me abt danganronpa
tl;dr: I’m Into Danganronpa Now
iii. you realize halloween was three months ago right
i mentioned this in the first section, but i love to plot things. every request is plotted or at least has a solid foundation. i had fun detailing what concept i wanted to go with considering what i was given, and there were some bangers i might touch up in the future. but heres whats going to happen to the requests themselves:
there are two finished requests. one will be posted tomorrow and the other will be touched up (just bc i finished it doesnt mean its good 🧍‍♂️) and scheduled for next saturday. as for the ones i never got around to ...
i will not be finishing those requests. i hate to be That Person, but i feel like we all expected this 🧍‍♂️ what i will do is post all of my notes for each request in batches -- requests that have an @ to go with them will be mentioned in the post proper, but anon asks will be pictured. (there are some asks that came from blogs who are now deactivated but i wrote down all the prompts and remember most of those askers so ill cross that bridge when i get there) there will most likely be an excerpt or two simply bc i think i mightve written a few plot points or interactions in the form of bullet points. i rlly am sorry about doing this but i remember looking at my notion doc with all the prompts and feeling ... like i wasnt measuring up n it wasnt just to myself or to some intangible concept of “other” id constructed but it was instead to those who requested n actually WANTED to see and hear and read my writing and i ...... im gonna admit thats another big reason i avoided this site.
regardless, youll definitely get what i have (and likely more than just my bullet points and illegible handwriting).
tl;dr: im sorry. what i have in terms of plot, concept, and interaction for every request will be posted, but i cant say ill ever complete them and mean it.
iv. so what now?
well i mean . im not entirely sure how sold i am on haikyuu in the content creation department (as a creator n to a lesser extent, as a consumer). as mentioned previously, its no longer my primary focus. it doesnt mean im not into haikyuu anymore; i have a lot of love for those boys but i cant rlly say im even caught up w recent fandom activity and also havent even finished s4 pt2 LMAO thats on my to do list
and despite all that, i still want to share my plots n concepts and snippets and maybe even fics. it wont happen anytime soon. it might not even happen. but i mean . its better than me saying i wont write ever again shjdkfs but either way ill probably use this blog as a personal blog w the occasional ask game for dialogue prompts (those are always so fun i love making up aus to fit like . the most mundane prompts)
as for my works (past and any potential future), ive opened an ao3 acc here n ill be editing n possibly expanding on my old works to post there. tumblr, to me, is The x reader hub, but i figure more x reader fics on ao3 is never a bad thing.
ill be deleting/posting drafted posts to the queue since they were all meant to be queued anyway as well as (sorry again 🧍‍♂️) deleting or answering asks in the inbox. (moots if you get a notif from me saying i rbed your post from months ago ... mind your business) im very hard to get ahold of and its ... a problem. expect an overhaul of the nav n shit to reflect my new direction n also because i feel like i cant tell if my passion for carrd is shared by the majority HSDKLFS maybe its better to read my info in a normal post ykwim .......
and of course . if youve read all this n decided im no longer worth the follow, i sure as hell cant stop you. thank you for wanting to, at some point, hear what i have to say -- it means more than you think.
tl;dr: writing will be edited and reposted to ao3, this blog will be a personal blog with a hint of writing (sometimes)
Tumblr media
the tl;dr to end all tl;drs:
im back! i wont be as active as i used to due to a lessened interest in haikyuu in general, but i have an ao3 acc now where all my past work will be edited, possibly expanded, and reposted. any future work will also find itself there. my halloween requests will be posted in batches as incomplete concepts, plots, and snippets of scenes; i wont be promising to finish any of them.
there are still fic concepts im attached to and want to finish, but i cant promise any more writing on my end. this blog will be a personal blog with maybe writing, not a writing blog with my personal thoughts all over it.
regardless if you stick around or not, its been crazy sexy cool (equal emphasis) being on haikyuu tumblr even tho i wasnt around for long ... even tho its not my main focus anymore, im still excited to see what the future might hold 🤝
love, ari 💌

Head empty, pre-TPN season 2 thoughts only.
Normally I don’t even bother with hiding spoilers but since the new season is so close I’ll put everything below a cut (if tumblr cooperates) because I do want anime-onlys to enjoy the season with as little knowledge to what madness is about to happen as possible. This is just a bunch of notes that filled my head over the past couple days.. weeks? A long time.. and if I didn’t write them all down somewhere I wouldn’t stop thinking about them.. so if you understand this whole mess, then kudos to you.
So, here’s your post-season 1/ch37+ spoiler warning.
Demon language:
With Mujika and Sonju making their grand first appearances, I hope actually implement the demon language this time?
The only word spoken in the language in season 1 was the demon god’s name, which was just changed to “Him” (sub) or “The One” (dub), so ignoring it there was fine.
Granted, our demon friends don’t say much in their language during the upcoming arc, aside from this moment in ch48, but I can see the anime passing it off as a mere whisper between the two of them just so they don’t have to worry about it.
Tumblr media
I don’t recall any of the GP poachers using the language though.. right? Pretty sure they don’t..
Anyways, all I’m saying is that they better figure something out by the Ayshe shows up way later in future seasons.
Episode count? 24?
Short answer: I don’t think so? Did once, but stuff happened. Anyways..
Season 1 ended in March 2019, which is also when we learned we were getting a second season and once we found later on that S2 was originally going to air in October 2020, I immediately thought we were getting about 24 eps.
I thought with all that time between seasons, 24 eps would be reasonable and that S2 would end at ch101. S1 managed to adapt 37 chapters, so 64 chapters in a season twice as long sound decent enough, right?
By the time we reach ch101, it would give us the demon forest, shelter B06-32, Goldy Pond and the short trip to Cuvitidala. (all of which would make this long wait for s2 sooo worth it btw.)
By this point we learn a bunch about the outside world, Norman being alive, what happened to Phil, and the demon bastard himself.
I bring up ch101 as a stopping point because it’s the last chapter before the two year time skip and.. I honestly can’t see them doing a time skip mid-season?
I mean, they could if they wanted to, I guess? Having everyone age up suddenly between episodes via a montage, a quick summary or even flashbacks of what we missed.. but maybe at the start of a season? Not in the middle.
Right now we know anime original scenes are going to be included into season 2 so I’m kinda hoping that once we do eventually reach the time skip we learn more about the search Emma’s group went on for T7W/golden water/temples.
I counted. If S2 does indeed get this many episodes, ep23 (or 22, if there’s a break in between somewhere or whatever) will land on my birthday and you can bet I’ll be beyond happy
HOWEVER! all the hope I once had about a 24ep season vanished due to the clusterfuck that was 2020. Thanks to the worldwide pandemic, many anime were put on hold and pushed back several months, with TPN airing this month rather than the original October date.
It was a bummer hearing about the delay at first but I never complained about it. I much rather have the studios prioritize their employee’s health over production.
Even if S2 did reach ch101, or even Goldy Pond, they would need to find a ton of new voice actors, and with how the world is working now.. eh, I have some doubts.
Cloverworks also has two other series airing this month aside from TPN so needless to say they’ll be a bit busy, especially if employees are still working from home, social distancing, or however they’re managing to produce these anime.
So, episode count.. 12?
The main reason I have a hard time grasping the idea of another 12ep season at all is because.. I don’t know where it’ll be a decent place for it to stop?
S1 ending at ch37 with the kids escaping? Perfect. You can’t question that decision. But now? When a whole bunch of craziness is about happen? How do you choose another perfect moment to end a season with?
No matter how many anime original scenes they have planned for the demon forest, I believe we’ll at least reach B06-32, which will get us to ch52.
Could they go farther? Sure. Perhaps ending at ch59-60? It would leave us off with Emma & Ray leaving the comfort of the shelter to follow Yuugo into yet another demon infested forest, much like how S1 left off, as the escapees left their once safe, comfortable life into the unknown world.
Tumblr media
Or end at ch64? After Emma gets snatched by the poachers? It could work. It would certainly leave everyone wanting more, especially us manga readers because goddamn the GP arc would be SO close!
Tumblr media
Perhaps ch74 after seeing Norman alive? Just so it’s not a big darn secret anymore to those who are going into this season blind? (how do people manage to stay anime only? i’m not trying to make anyone feel bad.. i’m just impressed? i caught up to the manga right after s1 because i didn’t have the self control to wait!)
Tumblr media
Ending on that chapter would be so bittersweet to me.. because you know what appears in ch75 and it’s literally one of the only things I care about.
Tumblr media
S2 preview trailers already teased some of the demon forest scenes I’m most excited about, so the only things left that will truly excite me are Yuugo and that darn outfit. (seriously, whenever we do get to see emma in her gp outfit for the first time, someone better scream at me so i can die from happiness.)
Okay, and all the GP kids too.. especially their trio!
Tumblr media
Could they fit the Goldy Pond arc into a 12 episode season along with every other event that came before it? I.. seriously hope not?
Compared to s1, which was very dialogue heavy, GP is about as action packed as we’re gonna get in the near future, and those scenes are going to fly by once they get put into motion.
Quick example (because it was recent and i can’t think of something else atm): the Overhaul arc from My Hero Academia. Off the top my head it was about 40 total ch? That arc took up half of the show’s S4, which was a total 25 eps.
So with the GP ending at ch96, it’ll give us about 20-30 chapters (depending on where you personally see the start of this arc I guess? once yuugo leads the duo through the forest, when emma gets snatched or when the battle actually starts)
If GP were to happen in s2 where there’s 12 episodes.. literally everything would be so fast paced and I don’t want them to rush anything or leave stuff out?
Other options?
It’s very wishful thinking and I would be getting my hopes up for nothing, because I know it won’t happen, but I could possibly see them fitting GP arc if S2 was made up of 18eps?
6 eps for the demon forest, 6 for Goldy pPond, the remaining 6 to accommodate B06-32, Cuvitidala and any other anime original scenes as they wish.
Although fitting about 64 chapters into 12-18 episodes sounds a bit much.. but not really? I seriously have no idea at this point how much story we’re going to cover this season.
Could I perhaps place all my hopes towards a second cour later this year? Like for the summer.. or would I be expecting too much?
This all could’ve been avoided if they just tell us! Seriously, I’ve been thinking about episode count since last year.. and now you have to deal with this mindless chatter of mine.
I’d honestly be okay with another 12ep season though. We waited this long that I’ll just be excited to see all the children again.
Anime-only scenes:
Those 3 days the children spent learning from our demon friends? Yes please! Did you know Emma not only learned how to use a bow and arrow but a freakin’ harpoon as well? Like.. hello?? I must see this!
Tumblr media
Perhaps they’ll even adopt some of the extra pages from some of the chapters, like they did in S1 with the flashback of Norman being sick in ep10.
I know this will be such a high hope, but I remember in ch177 how Emma claims that after they escaped, they all remembered how kind Isabella really was, so if they decide to adapt the extras from ch41-42 & ch45, I’ll cry.
Tumblr media
And these pages? Cloverworks, please..
Tumblr media
I’m literally begging here..
Tumblr media
Especially these two! Even though I still doubt we’ll reach Goldy Pond if we get 12eps.. but in the future! Please!
Tumblr media
Other random nonsense:
I may or may not get emotional upon seeing Isabella at the very start when she goes to confront Grandma Sarah. If her hair is kept down as it was at the end of S1 then I’ll give the anime staff my sincere thanks.
We only heard 15 seconds of “Identity” and yet it has been living in my head rent free ever since that trailer dropped. I need to hear the full song sooo damn badly, y’all have no idea.
Here’s hoping they don’t cut out the inner monologues again. At this moment I don’t remember any specific ones from the demon forest I want to see but I’m sure they’re present.
I’m ready to die at every cute Chris moment they give us.. and this entire scene where the kids scold Ray.
Tumblr media
Literally every scene with Emma & Ray. They’re my top 2 favorites from this series okay? Of course I’m going to fangirl over them. (they already showed the hug in one of the trailers and i damn near cried)
Tumblr media
If we see him, (which i’m sure we will, but i still have tiny some doubts) I hope they give Yuugo a fantastic voice actor.
Also, his nicknames for everyone!! Literally everything about that man I’m hyped for.
Again, very doubtful we’ll get GP in a 12ep season, but whenever that arc decides to grace us with its presence, “63194” better play on full blast when ch92-93 gets animated.
Speaking of music, while I’m completely excited to hear the new OST that Obata has in store for us (thank god he’s doing this season again btw!), I hope we hear some of those unused tracks from the first season, specifically “Their Own Thoughts.”
Every time Emma mentions their future, their goals or how her family will always be together, I’ll cry. (thanks demon god and your stupid reward)
Yes I’ll be doing those reaction posts (if you follow me i’m sure you’ve seen them by now) after every new episode as I do with other series I watch.. once I survive the usual long day at work, avoiding anything TPN related so I can watch in peace and quiet when I finally get home.. damn it, im already so anxious, help.

punkesweet’s stardew mega-modlist
Tumblr media
howdy doody everyboody! i’ve spent way too much time on stardew valley *cough* 200 hours *cough*, and i thought i’d give back to the community by making a modlist for the mods i use. mostly graphical overhauls and small tweaks here and there, and most of these are pretty popular so you’ve probably already heard of them, but hey it’s whatever. the list starts under the cut! engines/pre-reqs most, if not all, these mods require some combination of these engines to run. i know nothing about coding so i can’t give apt descriptors of exactly what these do or why they’re needed, but they are.
Content Patcher
Custom Critters
Json Assets
SMAPI - SMAPI is the modding API for Stardew, necessary for all modding (besides old xnb mods).
PyTK
quality of life mods that don’t super duper mess with the game, but just slight improvements or changes to the original General
BigSilo - Increases the silo capacity for hay storage to around 200k per silo.
CasksAnywhere - Allows casks to be placed and used anywhere (this can sometimes interact weirdly with other mods that add new locations).
Stack Everything - Allows normally unstackable objects (eg. casks) to be stacked, saving on inventory and storage space.
Starblue Valley - Redoes some of the colouring and filters. Blues are bluer, greens are greener, and the whole game looks a lot less yellow and harsh.
game tweaks things that add mechanics or change/expand gameplay Immersion (i guess?)
catGifts - Misleading title, dogs also have the same effect. Pets will occasionally leave you items.
Climates of Ferngill - Expands the weather system, adding custom weather like fog, as well as tweaking the original weather system.
Happy Birthday - Allows the player to set a birthday for themselves, on which npcs will give them gifts and wish them happy birthday.
Lunar Disturbances - Adds an overhead moon and a lunar cycle to the game, with some parts of the cycle affecting gameplay.
Gameplay
Mizu’s Flowers - Adds more flowers, because let’s be real, it’s frankly homophobic that there are only 8 types in the base game.
More Trees - Adds more trees (and by extension more fruits and wines).
Canon Friendly Dialogue Expansion - More dialogue babey! Ever get tired of hearing the same 4 things over and over? Well be tired no more, you’ll now hear 9 things over and over. Or 1500+ I guess, but who’s counting.
Places/Buildings
Oasis Greenhouse - Expands the greenhouse to have an even grid, as well as adding a basement and location to plant trees.
Slime Hutch Winery - Replaces the (let’s be honest, functionally useless) slime hutch with a winery! It’s customisable so you can have a cool looking bar, or work it in conjunction with CasksAnywhere to have a secondary basement-thing.
Spouse Rooms Redesigned - Redesigns the spouse rooms to be a little more aesthetically pleasing and reflect your spouse more (this does interact weirdly if you change the flooring of your house).
aesthetique™ we all know that the most important part of any game is making it look as good as possible, stardew is no exception. most of these are done by elle aka @junimods, who is a goddess at designing cute stuff. Animals
Elle’s New Barn Animals - Redesigns barn animals to look cuter (customisable).
Elle’s New Coop Animals - Redesigns coop animals to look cuter (customisable).
Elle’s Cat Replacements - Redesigns the cat to look cuter (customisable).
Elle’s Dog ReplacementsI - Redesigns the dog to look cuter (customisable).
Elle’s Critter and Butterfly Replacements - Redesigns the little squirrels that run into trees and butterflies that flap around to be cuter.
Eemie’s Bees - Adds bees! Who doesn’t love bees!
Buildings
Elle’s Seasonal Buildings - Redesigns for alllll the farm buildings, including the house, barns, coops, etc.
Items
Fence - Redesigns wooden fences to be cute little rope/dark wood fences.
Fippsie’s Alternative Lamp Posts - Redesigns lamp posts.
Kawaii HatsI - Replaces all the hats with cuter versions/new hats. Who doesn’t love having bows in their hair.
Yellog’s Wood Craftables - Redesigns all craftable objects (i.e. furnaces, chests, cheese makers, beehives, etc.) to fit one nice aesthetic.
General
Ali’s Flower Grass - Replaces grass with a prettier, greener, flowery-er grass. Probably my favourite mod tbh.
Babies Take After Spouse - Retextures your little chiddlers to look more like your spouses offspring than a random child you definitely didn’t kidnap. Also adds more clothes for your toddlers if you’re into that.
Garden Variety UI - Overhauls UI to look more aesthetically appealing. Customisable by choosing from a variety of colours.
cheatsy doodles most of these aren’t quite cheats because i don’t play that way, but they’re like, cheat adjacent.
AutoAnimalDoors - Animal doors automatically open and close at a set time every morning and night.
CJB Cheats Menu - It’s a cheats menu. Allows you to change movement speed, pause time, instantly grow crops, change heart levels, etc. Cheat menu stuff, y’know.
No Crows - No more pesky crows eating your crops.
No Fence Decay - Removes fence decay.
Tree Transplant - Adds the option to move trees the same way one would move buildings, by visiting the carpenter (instead of having to cut them down and replant).
UI Info Suite - Honestly a must have, even if you do everything else vanilla. Adds functions such as being able to see how long a crop has left to grow by hovering over it, whether or not you’ve interacted with an animal, the ability to check the calendar/community centre from your inventory, keep track of whether you’ve given an npc gifts that week, track npc’s on the map, etc. The best mod everrrrrrr.
and that’s that folks! i also have a handful of harvey dialogue expansions because he is and forever will be the best, but i decided to omit them in order to give this list a more widely applicable experience.

Can We Discuss Retconning?
Yo it’s my birthday so fuck the update schedule. Here’s a short piece because who knows how long it’s gonna be until I have time to do one of these again with my book.
Ok, here’s the thing. I’m super fucking meticulous about worldbuilding. Like I’ve writing books inside of books for my book. Nonsense levels. I’m not quite Tolkien bad, but I trend towards his kind of worldbuilding. Needless to say, I like building worlds, and I go deep into it. But also, it’s incredibly important for me to be on top of worldbuilding. Having inconsistencies in my world means having inconsistencies in my plot. This is true for all storytellers though. And this is where we come to retconning.
Retconning, for anyone unfamiliar, is a term used to mean retro-actively changing cannon, or the official series of events and facts of a setting. It’s a tool used to fit plot holes or inconsistencies, or introduce character elements that weren’t there previously to match the direction a story wants to go. Typically, retconning is used in on going series, like TV shows, serial books, and video games. And it’s not always done well.
Now, I’m not opposed to retconning. SSO’s actually done some retconning well. Easy example would be when the player meets Tin Can. Originally, the player picked Tin Can up from Jorvik Stables, before Harvest Counties was released. After that release, Herman brought Tin Can from Horse Island. Since Horse Island has been largely removed I don’t know if the dialogue has been changed again, but this is an example of retconning in a good way. It wouldn’t make any sense why, at probably about level 13-16 when you get this quest, Tin Can was at Jorvik Stables and we just couldn’t see him all this time. So this detail is changed so suspension of disbelief isn’t broken. Changing the biggest city in Jorvik from Jarlheim to Jorvik City makes sense after seeing the size differences between the two.
However, SSO has been doing this massive core story retcon that isn’t implemented well. And that’s changing the leader of the Soul Riders.
Now, I think it makes total sense to do one retcon. In the original games, the leader of the Soul Riders was Lisa, but since so few players have access to the Starshine Legacy games, there’s nothing in SSO to found this. Logically, based on story conventions (largely the fact that we met her first and she’s been the defacto leader of the Soul Riders as long as we’ve known her), it should be Alex. And for a while it was. While this retcon was big and perhaps irritating for long term fans, it makes sense for bringing in new fans and having a contained story unit just in SSO. What does make sense is to then retcon again to Anne.
Arguably, this could because I don’t see Anne as a leader (you cannot be a person that values so strongly your independence and also be a strong leader. Leaders need to work on teams, and these two traits don’t fit together). This could also be that this will be the second time this retcon has happened. But largely because it puts too much of the story on its head. By the time you get to the Anne rescue, you should have been playing SSO for at least 6-7 months, with minimal time skips and playing everyday. Likely it’s longer. For some of us it’s been almost 8 years. Either way, you cannot build characters for that long and then retcon such integral character traits and facts about your story.
And look, it’s not just Anne. SSO does this a lot and then they don’t fix it. Things like Pi talking about Moorland getting an update before the first Moorland overhaul. If that dialogue is still in there, new players are always going to be thinking there’s new stuff coming to Moorland. Things like waffling heavily on reincarnation and who does it, on Starshine’s personality, on the Bobcats.
Like I said before, there is nothing wrong with retconning. But it’s important to make sure that the changes you make are believable. I do not believe based on the world and facts SSO has provided that Anne should be a leader. And anyone who was ready to play the rescue mission at its release will not have played through a retconned story that suggests Anne should be the leader. They will have played through the original presented story where Alex was the leader.
Look, retconning is a powerful tool and it can be used to good effect. But you have to make sure it supports the player/reader/viewer’s view of the world. It cannot break suspension of disbelief. One of the biggest hurts SSO has is its inconsistencies in its world, probably because it has no writing team. Easy and free solution; get a couple of interns or hardcore cannon fans and hop over to World Anvil. You can set up a complete internal wiki for writing story for developers and have a great resource for fans to make sure they are prepared for cannon. I realized we have Jorvikpedia, but it would be nice to have something straight out of the dev’s books we know as cannon.
And it’s my birthday, so go preorder my book.

Best Skyrim SE Graphics Mods - Gamerstips
Tumblr media
💾 ►►► DOWNLOAD FILE 🔥🔥🔥 Skyrim hit its tenth birthday recently, and a list of the best Skyrim mods remains as useful as ever. More useful, even, given that hundreds of new mods are still being released for the fantasy RPG every week. If you're planning on starting the game fresh, or just looking for something new to add to your existing mod mountain, you should find something worth your time below. Almost every mod we've chosen will work with either the regular or Skyrim Special Edition, and we've provided links to both versions - or similar alternatives - where necessary. There's also undoubtedly many, many great mods that we've not included. If you think your favourite Skyrim mod is an essential install, then take to the comments and make your case. We love discovering new mods, too, and may include your suggestion in a future revision. Watch on YouTube. What I like to do is create a new, unmodified game, get somewhere like Riverwood and then create a save that I can use for testing. We've only picked the very best Skyrim mods, but there are so many available that we've had to break them down by category. You can hop directly to the kind of mod you want via the links below. There are several good ones, but Nexus Mod Manager is your best bet. Download Nexus Mod Manager. Before you test anything in-game, run LOOT. It takes seconds. You can launch it directly from the. Download Achievements Mods Enabler. Basically, it spruces up a huge pile of 3D models, making all of Skyrim look nicer in hundreds of tiny ways. Skyrim HD is a long-running texture mod that replaces over textures. Everything from the sky and mountains to the interiors of ramshackle hovels has been done up. Optionally, you can download just the cities, landscapes, dungeons or miscelleanous packs. This is specifically for old Skyrim, but there are plenty of great alternatives for the Special Edition. Another huge, broad texture mod, this time specifically for the Special Edition. The latest version of the mod only comes with one complete file, but the version is more modular. You can pick what you want retextured, whether it's just the roads, only mountains or all of Riften. Download Skyrim Textures. More than most other mods, the lighting, post-processing and colour tweaks made by ENBs and Reshade mods are down to personal preference. In OG Skyrim, I was rather partial to RealVision ENB, and it still makes the seven-year-old game look absolutely gorgeous, though it does come at the cost of performance. When the Special Edition first launched, flashy post-processing options were limited while we waited for ENB to be updated. ELFX wants to make Skyrim pretty, not just realistically lit. Both mods are great, so it really depends on what kind of atmosphere you want to generate. You could always mix and match, and even throw in an ENB for good measure. Since Skyrim is full of forests, Skyrim Flora Overhaul has a pretty dramatic effect. It includes lots of new, high-quality tree models, even more grasses and plants, and loads of visual tweaks that generally make forests look deeper and more imposing. There are so many tiny touches that make this mod brilliant, like curated sound effects and animated icebergs. The Special Edition introduced a new water flow system, which is nice and all, but it was applied to all bodies of water indiscriminately, which made less sense. Realistic Water also fixes that. Download Better Roads or the Special Edition version. Download Climates of Tamriel or the Special Edition version. Interesting NPCs is packed with new characters scattered all over Skyrim, each with their own background, schedule and branching dialogue. With these tweaks, NPCs respond in more realistic and diverse ways to things like weather, attacks and their day-to-day schedules, depending on who they are. Most important is the survival instinct feature, letting NPCs evaluate threats and act accordingly. Download Immersive Citizens or the Special Edition version. This throws in everything from warring goblin tribes to considerably more exotic and indescribable nightmares. The world a bit more deadly. Download Immersive Creatures or the Special Edition version. It creates patrols for not just the factions of the civil war, the Stormcloaks and Imperials, but also the Dawnguard and Thalmor. There are even some raider patrols, too. These warbands clash in specific areas, with forts and territory changing hands depending on the outcome of the battle. Download Immersive Patrols or the Special Edition version. Ever wanted to traipse around Skyrim with your very own supernatural band? Amazing Follower Tweaks is an extremely helpful follower management tool that lets you have multiple followers, organise their equipment and give them orders, but the best bit is being able to turn them into vampires and werewolves. Speaking of deadly, magical monsters with a thirst for blood and flesh, this mod makes NPCs run away when one of them attacks. Dragons and vampires will scare off NPCs, making them run to their home or the nearest inn until the area is safe again. Not with Convenient Horses, however. Download Convenient Horses or the Special Edition version. Relationship Dialogue Overhaul makes Skyrim a chattier place. NPCs get a whopping 5, lines of new, reactive dialogue, all voiced. NPCs react more realistically, letting you know what they think of you, while followers will take into account their relationship with you. Simply Better Movement Speed tweaks how fast you move while walking, running and sneaking. Walking speed has been significantly boosted, while running is slower. The pace feels more natural, making it necessary to get a horse for long journeys, but making wandering around towns and villages much quicker. It also makes players the same speed as NPCs, so following people around is no longer a chore where you have to make constant adjustments. Getting lycanthropy is a great way to shake things up, but as much fun as it is to stomp around Skyrim as a massive wolf, the system is pretty underdeveloped. Moonlight Tales, then, is essential if you plan on tearing people apart during a full moon. It completely overhauls werewolves, replacing the perk tree, introducing new abilities, forcing lunar transformations and, best of all, letting you become a werebear. Download Moonlight Tales or the Special Edition version. There is a seemingly endless supply of user-created weapons on the Skyrim Nexus, but Immersive Weapons should always be at the top of your list. The benefit of using this instead of adding all your weapons piecemeal is that these weapons have been designed to co-exist, keeping balance and lore in mind. Unlike lightsabers. Download Immersive Weapons or the Special Edition version. Like the weapon mod, it introduces hundreds of new pieces of lore-appropriate armour and shields, allowing you to finally live out your dream of wearing a saber-toothed cat on your head. There are some nifty accessories, too, including eye patches and scarves. Download Immersive Armors or the Special Edition version. It adds new item slots to your body and then provides a vast number of pouches, bags and bandoliers that you can strap onto yourself. Download Bandoliers or the Special Edition version. It summons a bounty of cloaks into the world, nearly styles in all, ranging from faction-specific clobber to tattered, monstrous garments that only a Daedra would wear. NPCs will wear them, too, and they actually make guards look more authoritative. A nice cloak commands respect. Download Cloaks of Skyrim or the Special Edition version. Only mugs hold their own lanterns. You can attach the lantern to your belt, or you can just give it to one of your followers; they can hold or wear it for you. Even handier! Honestly, is there any need for the sun now that we've got this sorted? Download Wearable Lanterns or the Special Edition version. Download Deadly Cabbages or the Special Edition version. You can expand your arcane arsenal with blood magic, druidic spells and all sorts of new stuff that can then be combined to create even more powerful results. Cast some lightning magic on someone you just soaked with water magic, for instance, and you're going to do a bit more harm. You can even clone enemies, turn them into chickens or break the laws of time and space. Apocalypse has fewer spells, but boy are they fun. And flashy! You can summon tornadoes and volcanoes, rip ghosts out of corpses and send them towards enemies or trap people in mystical prisons. The handiest, however, are often the more mundane spells, like being able to find gold veins or conjuring up spectral bridges that transport you across large gaps. OK, that's not mundane at all. The mod neatly slots into the game and feels like a natural extension of the existing magic system, but a lot more creative. There are some differences between the versions, but both improve combat AI and introduce attacks of opportunity and timed blocking. Generally, combat is faster and more deadly, with weapons dealing more damage. VioLens lets you customise your killmoves, both melee and ranged, letting you decide how often they appear and what move each weapon triggers. If you want to give your fights some extra cinematic flair, this is a good way to go about it. Swap out the boring vanilla idle weapon animations for something a bit fancier. Pretty Combat Animations lets you pick from full animation sets that change what your character looks like when they run, walk and sneak while armed or unarmed, if you're just using your fists. You'll look dangerous even when you're just standing around. There are maybe a few too many trees, though I am a fan of the overgrown look. The should still work with Special Edition anyway, but there might be some unforeseen issues. Download Towns and Villages Enhanced. They're not quite the dramatic visual overhaul that Towns and Villages Enhanced is, but together these two mods replace the vanilla textures with high-quality versions and add new bits and pieces. The textures are much improved, but they otherwise maintain the original aesthetic, while the towns that have been expanded so far Darkwater Crossing, Dawnstar and Riverwood are familiar but busier. Skyrim hides all of its cities behind gates and loading screens; Open Cities Skyrim smashes them down. This beefy mod moves the cities into the main Skyrim map, rather than the pocket dimension in which they existed, so you can seamlessly move between city and wilderness. Poor Helgen. It only got a few minutes of screentime before it got roasted, along with most of its inhabitants. Helgen Reborn, then, is a lovely mod that gives the town a second life. Download Helgen Reborn or the Special Edition version. Similar to Helgen Reborn, this mod revitalises the gloomy town of Winterhold as you work through a quest. Those merchants, I should add, are very wealthy, so it's a great place to offload your inventory. Everyone wins! Download Winterhold Rebuilt or the Special Edition version. Alternate Start is the best way to start a new game of Skyrim. Falskaar is a total conversion mod created by Alexander Velicky to prove to Bethesda he could make something that rivalled their DLC, but with a fraction of their resources. Adding approximately 20 hours to the base game, Falskaar is an impressive mod that adds a whole new land independent of Tamriel, accessible by portal and later by boat. It boasts new items and shouts, and adds 26 new quests - which includes nine main story ventures and 17 side quests. Download Falskaar or the Special Edition version. Think Poirot, but with magic and ethical conundrums. It feels like a professional production that just happens to also be a mod for Skyrim. A standalone game based on the mod is also in the works. Sick of chilly Skyrim? Hop on a wagon and take a trip to distant Elsweyr, the home of the fluffy Khajiit. The rainforest and desert makes a nice change of scene, and the Khajiit are far more interesting than the moody Nords. As well as a change in setting, there are plenty of entertaining quests, NPCs and, above all else, an airship of your very own. Moonpath to Elsweyr is almost as old as Skyrim and was a bit creaky as a result, but it started getting updated again last year. With a main storyline alone that amounts to 30 hours of questing, Enderal is a titanic mod set in an entirely new land made up of tropical costs, frosty mountains and dense forests. There are countless new assets, running the gamut from photo-scanned rocks to new monsters. And a great one, to boot. Total Character Makeover takes the best appearances from Skyrim Nexus, spruces them up even more and collects them in one convenient package. Worried your greasy hair is holding you back? Keep finding twigs in your mane right after a job interview? The mod offers up a ridiculous number of new styles. Download Apachii's Skyhair or the Special Edition version. It turns each perk tree into a cohesive class, though of course the perks are still all designed to be mixed and matched. Take Alchemy, for instance. The vanilla tree just gives you some resistances and lets you make more powerful potions. The Ordinator version, however, transforms you into a mad scientist, dripping horrible pools of magical and explosive oil and figuring out new ways to hurt people with poisons. Building your own unique class is infinitely more rewarding with all these exotic perks. There are search fields, you can make lists of favourites and everything is displayed clearly. It cuts out so much mucking around. It also includes the Mod Configuration Menu, an extremely handy tool that makes it easy to customise mods. A Quality World Map - With Roads is considerably more detailed, clear and, importantly, shows you where all the roads are. Frostfall turns Skyrim into a survival game. Trekking through Winterhold wearing the wrong gear or taking a dip in an ice water lake can prove fatal — be sure to wrap up. Download Frostfall or the Special Edition version. Campfire takes the camping system from Frostfall and spins it into an even more developed standalone mod. You can craft camping gear, make roaring hearths that give you bonuses and even become a tracker. Nobody really needs to eat in Skyrim, which explains the abundance of food. Imagine how miserable all the chefs must be, preparing food that nobody is remotely interested in. The best they can hope for is that an adventurer will scoff some as a last resort. Realistic Needs and Diseases returns food to its lofty status. Drinking is similarly necessary. There are other negative effects before death, but also lots of positive ones for eating well. It mostly adds visual effects that complement the foul weather, but it also changes NPC behaviours. During bad weather, NPCs will have different reactions depending on their race, age and job. Download Wet and Cold or the Special Edition version. Lonely Mountains: Downhill goes murderously fast but appreciates stopping for a good view. What's better: Cameras which actually take pictures, or running into a wall so fast you hurt yourself? This visual novel takes you on a lovely little cycling tour. Two Point Campus review: a relaxed management sim bursting with silliness and seminars. I am not good at The Final Earth 2. Why are there no games about running? If you click on a link and make a purchase we may receive a small commission. Read our editorial policy. ashreecar’s SDV Mods Masterlist
okay so like Stardew Valley is my favorite game in the world. I can play it over and over and over again and I will never get tired of it - its probably to the point that my love for this game is annoying to my friends BUT WHATEVER.
So I play the vanilla version of SDV on my switch and I play a ridiculously modded version on my PC. After playing through my PC version, I decided that it was about time I actually made a masterlist of all my mods so bear with me... there’s a lot
Let’s start with some rules of like SDV modding:
Firstly, I would say to avoid xnb mods buuuuuuuuuuuut you’ll see later on that I don’t >>  but really I would try to avoid using these as much as possible since they can be a hassle
Secondly, YOU NEED SMAPI OMG DO U NEED SMAPI and it needs to stay updated. ALWAYS.
Thirdly, YOU ALSO basically need to use Content Patcher bc a lot of those old aesthetically-pleasing xnb mods you want to use are now a content pack!! (Use the stardew valley wiki’s modding compatibility xnb list to find unofficial updates for these [link]
Fourthly, back up all ur main game files - you know just in case.
Fifthly, if the mods are making ur game too slow or is too much for ur computer to handle then... just play the vanilla version of the game! ITS FUN FFS I only started modding my PC game after I had completed the community center, gotten married and had one kid lol sorry i didn’t want another kiddo
Sixthly, if you need help, go ask the modding community in the stardew discord - they’re super nice people and a lot of them are like the og modders. they’re like literally amazing.
I can’t think of anymore like “rules” per se but you get the gist.
Now for the actual list... Let’s go!!
Starting off with Building/Map Exterior Aesthetics
1. A Toned Down Stardew Valley
2. English Lamp Posts
3. Mi’s and Eemie’s Butterflies
