(Hi, is this blog still active or is it on a hiatus of sorts? If you plan on coming back to it, I’d like to ask the muses some anon questions, but if not it’s totally fine! I hope you are doing well!)

Whoops! It has been quite a while since I've been on here, or any of the blogs that are associated with this email... Though I've come back and thankfully I did see this! I do have a feeling I saw this too late but hey, late is better than never!

So I would say a hiatus for all of my blogs until I can get the framework is safe to count on for now. From the looks of it, I don't have that much to go but counting all the blogs I have, even the inactive ones that I do want to get to writing on someday, it'll make up to about half of what I've already done. The Universes pages shouldn't be that worrisome for some unless they are solo muses or not multimuse, but other than that just bios and explaining my takes on the characters I'll be writing and such!

If you want to ask some of the muses some anon questions, feel totally free to do so and I'm sure they will get back to you, whether some of them want to talk about the topics or not...

Hopefully that answers all questions! I'm not going to give myself a deadline since at this point it doesn't work well to crunch on a literally hobby, but slowly making sure these things are getting done daily so I can get back, and the same goes for icons though not every muse of mine will have icons from the start or that many! I'll have to make some or go the old fashioned way and bootleg me some.

Duckula & Goosewing -

This one, oof! This will take a good and long while before he’s able to find it in his heart to forgive the wampire for simply existing. You’ve got a senile and silly old vampire hunter that’s always looking for ways on how to vanquish the dark forces, and Duckula, anyone that holds the name really, gets special treatment from him. Why do you think he’s always coming back to him at the end of the day? He may come up with something new and usually it fails, but he wants that glorious revenge. Ludwig’s been needing it to satisfy himself and fulfill his duty that his parents wanted him to do. It’s going to take some encounters that further his understanding of the vegetarian vampire and see that he’s not like the merciless creature that murdered his parents. It can happen, but the wait’s going to be a while. Let’s just hope Dimitrie can withstand the countless assaults until that realization happens. ^^;

Though when it does come to that, he’s not certain on whether losing his mortality should be a good enough price for having love. Who else will dispel of the real evil that lingers in the world if he becomes part vampire before having a child of his own to train?

Sid & Igor -

Now this one is a lot more easier to see happen as Igor does seem to like it when any incarnation of Duckula would indulge in the hearty and tasty pleasures meat and blood has to offer. He might suspect some differences from his knowledge of older Duckula incarnations and how well they could hold their food, but then again, there was the one family member who tried to eat Castle Duckula (you already know what happened, but she got close to doing it.). He could teach many things, sure, but without the powers of a vampire and seeing that he doesn’t have anything like even the current Duckula has, his disposition might change. However, Igor does have a heart, even if it is one he likes to fill with an icky black void, so who knows. He might try to make Sid a proper vampire...

Maddie has been left unattended in the castle for far too long, having gotten lost in its seemingly endless depths while trying to look for the Count. She can hear someone approaching, already opening her arms for the veggie vamp...only to be met by Igor. She slowly lowers her arms, her cheeks burning like a wildfire. This was rather an unpleasant revelation that he was forced to abide with as there was no news of the master having a romantic interest or a “girlfriend” as he called it. Definitely something he would like to have some notification of beforehand at first. If this one was not fit to be the count’s love, then she would get re-purposed for something else. Perhaps as a drink for the vampires for whenever they would come over for their next family reunion or occasional drop by.

As the hen practically stood in front of him so awkwardly, the vulture’s yellow eyes were not very enthused or understanding of what she was trying to do. The position of his beak however, remained the same and so was his posture. Igor could see that the girl was embarrassed, and would not try to pour any more salt on her wounds there, but he would in another area. 

“I take it that this castle is a bit… difficult for you to navigate through?”

A heart shaped box of chocolates was left in Von Goosewing's Duragible with a note reading 'Happy belated Valentine's Day!'

Some time later, the goose would walk pass by the Duragible, but eventually stopped as one of his eyes caught something. It certainly wasn’t there and had no memory of it. Quickly, the avian’s eyebrows furrowed out of anger as someone had dared to compromise, trespass on his property, without his permission or acknowledgement. With gritted teeth, Ludwig yelled out loud to whoever might hear it as a warning that he was coming for them.

“Why you…. WHOEVER YOU ARE, YOU TRESPASSED ON MY PROPERTY, so PREPARE TO FACE DE CONSEQUENCES!!!”

After that, he took few breaths of air as it seemed old age was getting to him, and it was hard to scream as much as he did so loudly. However, when he looked at the object again, he picked up the heart shaped box and raised one eyebrow instead. Who would leave someone like him a bot of chocolates, he assumed, when he was considered a person to not interact with by the town villagers’ standards. Von Goosewing’s green-yellow eyes moved from side to side to see if anyone was watching him, and then he smiled dumbfounded at the item. Someone out there loved him, and he hoped it was a nice little gal. That would make this all the better!

Sure!!! Given by how I forgot about when the Count Duckula Marvel comics introduced his niece (Danger Mouse does kind of meet Duckula in those too) and how his niece eventually ended up becoming Duckula’s romantic squeeze, but long story short, he’d be happy to help take care of her and mentor her. It’s not the best idea since he is... insane and unpredictable, but hey, it’s not to the point where we’d have to swat his place because of some questionable care taking or anything like that. He’s weird and odd, but nasty and abusive? Nah, that’s save for the undead and evil entities. Regular people he tries to mingle with but they just push him away for his awkwardness during interaction.

Essentially, yes, he’d be more than willing to take care of her, but she’d have to put up with his silly antics and odd beliefs. He may even give her a few of the lessons he learned while growing up to be a vampire hunter, but for the more in family things, he’s at least conscious enough not to try and let her know of those things. It’s something that she wouldn’t qualify for, or at least he believes that.

layer one : the outside

Name -   Count (Dextrious) Duckula, Ludwig Von Goosewing, Count (Dexter) Duckula Eye colour - Crimson, Puke Green-Yellow, Obsidian Hair style / colour -  Black with purple streaks; fashioned with a fire motif in mind (Might as well have himself look hot, right?), Short and messy white, Medium-short raven hair that is nicely parted at the middle, yet some of the strands are uneven compared to other strands. Height -  4′7″, 4′8 1/2″, 4′7″ Clothing style - A stylized formal suit with some jewelry to complete the look. Flames are also visible on his cloak, though they aren’t real, just a part of the design. He prefers a classy bright violet and is proud of it. | Some undergarments like an undershirt and boxers with a heart pattern on them, pants, a vest, scarlet bow tie, spats on loafers, and a deerskin coat and hat to complete his attire. | A simple black suit jacket over a button up shirt with a red bow tie and a lavender cloak that reaches the floor. Best physical feature - Beak, arms, and chest. His small fangs can be seen as attractive, but also misleading for some of his more vampire traits, like how his arms may seem wimpy but have more to them than just their looks. What doesn’t disappoint is his chest however, as he does try to stay fit for his own satisfaction. | Chest and abdomen, as he is probably the most vulnerable there. Tries to stay clean and soft for the ladies. | Eyes, beak, and hands, for how gentle and smooth they feel, especially the last two.

layer two : the inside

Fears - Looking bad in front of a crowd, not being able to fulfill his dream of being a star, losing anything that he has gained at this point, Being alone, dying, and holy men and their items. | Not honoring his family lineage, going against his parent’s wishes, physically unpleasing people (to look at), old age, his insecurities, and being embarrassed. | Meat, Flesh, Blood, anything related to animals and their insides, terrible people, being used or abused by others, giant vegetable monsters, death in general, pain, confrontations with those much larger or heavier than him, and true vampries. Guilty pleasure -  Playing video games, interacting with the villagers in casual chats, much to Igor’s dismay, going out partying and clubbing (He’s been through some things), and exercising. | Having conversations with his imaginary partner, Heinrich, using technology to date and mingle with others, Tries to attend the Vampire Hunter’s convention but usually gets denied, and his drinking problems. | Gambling and playing cards, trying to pretty up his hair and attire, keeping his feathers well plumed, and writing songs. Biggest pet peeve - Being given orders or bossed around | Being seen as a laughingstock or a lolcow. | Not being taken as seriously as he wants to be, despite his appearance. Ambitions for the future - Wants to be the most well recognized person in the world, no, in reality. He seeks the best, as he only deserves the best. | To avenge his parents’ death and rid the world of all vampires, while also continuing his bloodline. | To live his life the way he wants to, not how Igor desires.

“THERE YOU ARE, YOU... FIIIEND!!! YOU WILL PAY FOR WVAT YOU DID!!! I’LL MAKE SURE OF DAT!!” the elderly goose squawked as he came out from a corner in the castle to get the drop on his foe. The underground network under the castle did have a few tunnels that led to the outside, and his ancestors had a detailed map of the layout, but that did not help when it came to the various obstacles that one would find down there. Monsters, creatures, and supernatural otherworldly beings that definitely had no place in this plane of existence. Fortunately enough for him, he came prepared with some of his family’s trusty wooden stakes for ammunition for his stake pistol, along with other weapons. It was no easy task to sneak his way in, but for all of the hassle he went through below, the innards of the castle itself seemed remarkably calm. Odd, but he couldn’t let his guard down.

At the moment, he was ready to charge the cloak wearing avian, but given that was how his parents met their unfortunate downfall, perhaps keeping his distance would be the better idea. Goosewing had a garlic-soaked knife ready to draw and toss if need be, but first, some questions. “Do you have any memory of da name, ‘Goosewing’? Ahem, like... Goosewing as in da famous wampire hunter family dat’s been spreading itself across generations to put an end to da wampire race, and all dose associated with dem. Well, anything evil really. Do you know of da Goosewings is wvat I’m asking here.”

“Ello! I’m coming back to this blog soon, so you all will have the pleasure to gaze upon my beauty, handsomeness, awesomeness, and most importantly, ME!”

“Milord, tch, you are the ever so humble and spitting image of... grace, yuck. The real announcement here is that we shall be returning here to this blog to torture you all, and some updates that were promised long ago will be made. Truthfully, when were those supposed to be? Last year? This year? Ah, who knows anymore.”

Updates!

So, I'm updating this blog again because I have found the mood for it. Well, the mood and the timing since apparently I don't have that much work to do for this one. (Yes!) All I really need to do now is get like a better dashboard background and promo. Not really going to go out with making specialized "Answered, Headcanons, Open Starters, etc." banners as that is just a bit too much for my liking.

Anyway, Reboot Duckula and Cowboy Duckula have been given bios and their stuff is all finished! There will be two new muses coming, one I was not sure I'd ever take on but it about time I give it a shot. The two are Charles Duckleton (not the one I was referring to before. I update him when I can get the chance.), he's going to be one of Duckula's "younger" uncles. The second one is Doctor Von Goosewing himself. Okay, I'm not sure if I made a public post about it but I know I mentioned it in DM/IMs that I wouldn't really want to use him out of respect for an old friend of mine. (To be honest I feel mine could be a little too weird, but you all will be the judges of that.)

Since they probably won't be coming back to Tumblr, I might as well try to see how the senile wampire hunter's like for myself. Now that doesn't mean that my personal headcanons and stuff for him will override anyone elses, that's not it. Just think of my Goosewing as one from an alternate universe from yours, and then we're good.

I also got the universes page slightly set up, and more can always be added with some plotting and stuff so don't worry! (I forgot to write some stuff for the twin or triplet universe with @vegbit and @ketchupblood but I can always write a quick snyopsis once we talk about that sometime.)

Besides that, that's pretty much it and I'll be out until later tonight!!

“Igor... I’m going to try and put this the niiiiiicest way possible.” Duckula says with an overly-big grin, voice noticeably strained as he keeps it a sweet, gentile tone. With a tilt of his head and raising his arms in a small shrug, he says (still with that ‘polite’ grin) “But if you mention blood ONE more time, weeeeeeell... Heh, I’m going to scream.” (Fffffff... Duckula is trying so hard not to Lose It right now. XD He’s ‘this close’ to going off on a rant about how gd disgusting it is.)

Cue the butler squinting his sickly and sleep needing eyes at the lord. It was the same old tune with the both of them, but he would not relent on his end of the conflict. The master should seek to merge his way back to the family roots, the lineage he was destined to uphold, his family’s legacy as a vampire. If Duckula wouldn’t willingly, then he might have to resort to some of his more, subtle tactics.

“Oh….. NO, Milord!! I, I ask you to not pierce our eardrums with such demented wails. There are things that even I enjoy having, like the ability to hear much… better screams and music.” Igor pleaded as he held his slightly short arms up in defense of any cries the count would make. To counter this, he fortunately had something he was willing to give the duck. “Here, milord. This is a contract, one that will allow you to be free of me reminding you to be your bloodline and your duties.
