Happy birthday to Oswald by boi 😃🎟️🐇
I like to think Mickey likes harassing Ozzy over this but Oswald didn't really get to live out his life in a vault did he, Mickey? 🤨 Drawings by Watson

Oswald the Lucky Rabbit and Ortensia the Cat - Happy 95th birthdays!
Although it has passed, I certainly drew a drawing related to an important anniversary. On September 5, 1927, Ub Iwerks and Walt Disney while working for Universal made a classic short called "Trolley Troubles" and it featured Oswald the Lucky Rabbit and his girlfriend Ortensia the Cat for the first time. Oswald appears several times in the classic shorts, but poor relations between Iwerks and Disney led to Oswald not appearing again. Yes, Oswald was owned by Universal until the early 21st century until Disney bought out the character as well as Ortensia and their cartoons. Oswald reprises his role in the video game Epic Mickey. Even though I know it's not good, I definitely redraw Oswald and Ortensia from the Epic Mickey scene where they finally meet again and fall in love.
Yes, I love Oswald and I think they deserve more justice. It's a shame that Disney canceled the project around his show. I hope you like this drawing and happy 95th birthday dear Oswald plus Ortensia and over 400 children and nieces and nephews.

It’s Mickey Mouse Day once again, so as tradition with me, it’s time to post another tribute to a Mickey Mouse project, this year, it’s Epic Mickey 2.
I did the sketch and linework, while my buddy Will Carroll handled most of the coloring.
Truth be told, I wasn’t planning on doing an Epic Mickey 2 tribute at first, but then I remembered not only does this year mark the 10th Anniversary of said game, but also the 95th anniversary of Oswald the Lucky Rabbit. The stars just simply aligned for it.
Epic Mickey 2 has a rather infamous legacy. While the first Epic Mickey was a huge hit, it’s sequel bombed so badly that not only did it kill the Epic Mickey franchise but also Junction Point Studios as a whole, and Oswald the Rabbit hasn’t had any major roles in a new production since (the one exception being a short comic story in Walt Disney’s Comics and Stories #276).
Even I was disappointed by it, most of the game was just resisting the same places you explored in the first time, the camera was more glitchy than before, the story was extremely predictable, and Oswald had the worst AI I ever seen in a video game! Still, it does have it’s nice points, the Mary Blair inspired cutscenes are still extremely well-animated and the addition of voice acting (as opposed to the first game’s Banjo-Kazooie-speak) really helped make the game feel more like a playable cartoon (when Gus wasn’t nagging you around anyway).
It may not be the highest point in the Mouse’s career (heck, it’s not even close video game wise), but perhaps it’s alright to acknowledge the failures as well as the successes. As another Disney production taught us “From failure you learn. From success, not so much.”
Plus I don’t think Epic Mickey is completely dead, the short-lived franchise has gained a cult following over the years, new merch for it appeared surprisingly recently, and of course there have been rumors of Disney doing a full remake of the first game. It might be a long shot, but I don’t think we’ve seen the end of the wasteland just yet.
