Hiii Marie!! I would like for you to answer 23, 30 & 37 from new ask game for writers please!!
Hiiii!
23. Single or multi POV, and why?
Hummm, I think I like writing single POV better? Just because I really like immersing myself into someone’s head fully and seeing/writing 100% from their perspective. Also, I always find it a fun challenge tbh, to still try and convey the other side of the story without delving into the other character’s head. Does that make sense? Like the scene in TEC when Harry sees Old Louis? There’s a lot more going on from Louis’ POV than the reader knows at that point and, part of the fun for me as a writer, is to manage to still show that without writing his thought process so that readers can go back and reread the scene with a new perspective and see Louis’ side even through H’s POV. Or in CTC before we know Harry speaks English... I loved working on trying to leave subtle hints that it was the case. Idk I feel like I challenge myself more that way? I don’t even know if I’ve ever written multi POV??? Maybe I should try it to challenge myself lol.
30. Favorite line you’ve ever written.
It feels like puzzle pieces slowly slotting into place and painting an impossible, yet undeniable truth. It feels like every answer is at the tip of his tongue. It feels like his future is spreading out in front of him, better than he could have ever hoped for, and even more confusing. It feels like Louis reached out to him from beyond the grave to lead him back home.
OR
“There’s more freedom in a second spent with you than there is in a lifetime in the present, Louis. What is it worth? To hold a man’s hand in front of the whole world, if he’s not the person I love? If the person I love is here ?”
37. Most inspirational quote you’ve ever read or heard that’s still important to you.
Lol, get ready I love quotes!!!!!
“You write. That’s the hard bit that nobody sees. You write on the good days and you write on the lousy days. Like a shark, you have to keep moving forward or you die. Writing may or may not be your salvation; it might or might not be your destiny. But that does not matter. What matters right now are the words, one after another. Find the next word. Write it down. Repeat. Repeat. Repeat.” Neil Gaiman
“Why does tragedy exist? Because you are full of rage. Why are you full of rage? Because you are full of grief.” Anne Carson
“he’s worried about the dentist, and he’s worried about heartache, and he’s worried about his rent, and no one ever told him that the worries of childhood wouldn’t get replaced by the worries of adolescence and adulthood. they just accumulated, and sometimes the weight of being every version of himself at once is too much.”— These Inconvenient Fireworks, by mdasch & everydayslike
“It is through art, and through art only, that we can realize our perfection; through art and art only that we can shield ourselves from the sordid perils of actual existence.” Oscar Wilde
“male fantasies, male fantasies, is everything run by male fantasies? up on a pedestal or down on your knees, it’s all a male fantasy: that you’re strong enough to take what they dish out, or else too weak to do anything about it. even pretending you aren’t catering to male fantasies is a male fantasy: pretending you’re unseen, pretending you have a life of your own, that you can wash your feet and comb your hair unconscious of the ever-present watcher peering through the keyhole, peering through the keyhole in your own head, if nowhere else. you are a woman with a man inside watching a woman. you are your own voyeur.” Margaret Atwood
I could keep going but you said one sooo
