there was this prompt going around on twitter about cancellable food takes, and no one ever gets really creative with this. it’s always just “i don’t like indian food”. that’s bland! it’s boring! if you really want something cancellable, you need to get a bit crazier with this.

give me something like “when i eat ortolan, I like to rip the napkin off my head and chew with my mouth open because I want god to know, and i want him to watch.”

#this joke is admittedly kind of a deep cut so maybe I should provide some context #Ortolan is a French delicacy – this very tiny bird that’s served whole. and the way you eat it is that you put a cloth napkin on your head #and this is specifically so that god can’t see your brutality because you’re doing something so ugly but so good #the lore around eating this bird in this way is explicitly religious #i know this sounds like something I’m making up for a bit but I’m not. the bird is real.
