I first read Interview with the Vampire when I was 14. At the time, I got obsessed with the melancholic main character which resonated a lot with my teen angst. Many of the themes interested me at the time, and I also dealt with my own catholic guilt. I read all the books of the series but never stopped loving my sad puppy-eyed Louis. I read one more time when I was alone and isolated at the beginning of the pandemic, and now this year. I have a funny relationship with this book as it's one of my favorites books, but I have to be in a very specific head space for it. I think the topics of being lost, wanting to belong, and looking for answers are easy to relate to, but they always hit too close to home for me. I'm happy that I read it this year and could reflect on some past experiences without being overwhelmed by sad feelings.

Do you guys have a loved book that you read multiple times? And did your reading experience change throughout the reads?

CARDAMOM IN COFFEE????? it’s a tea spice/desert flavouring for us and i’m so intrigued rn?! do u just,,,put a couple pods in while brewing the coffee? is it taken fully black? no milk or sugar? (i’m from the land of filter coffee but for this, i will make an exception bc i’m both baffled and so so interested)

we literally have prepared mixes of black coffee with cardamom (hel) in shops, including espresso capsules:

fully black, no milk, little to no sugar (if you try to put milk in your coffee in an arab country you will get kicked out), just black coffee that you mix with boiled water and ground cardamom.

why, how do YOU use cardamom???
