Escape Attempt 1, 2, 3, 4, 5
Cowritten with @khalwrites, King Edwyn and the ‘verse are hers.
‘Verse: Kethrys Timeline: a couple of weeks into Ariadne’s captivity
---
Ariadne can’t hope to track the passing of time. She can guess maybe, from the progress of thirst. Many hours, well into the night, but not so many as multiple days… probably. Every time she thinks of it, she is not certain. Pain makes it hard to be certain. Her whole body hurts. The dislocated joints she hangs from are sheer agony. She needs it to end. She needs it so badly, badly she has no control.
Time drags painfully past. Maybe hours, maybe only distorted minutes. She hangs limp in the chains, and despairs.
When His Majesty finally comes back for her, terror is stronger than hope. She wants to be let down but she doesn’t want to be let down if it means more torture. She might wonder why he hurts her so much but she knows why -- just for that shivering, gratifying thrill. The King is like her but worse -- and much, much more powerful in every regard.
Not so long ago she would have tried to stifle the sounds of pain and fear. But fuck dignity, she’d rather give the King what he wants sooner rather than later. She doesn’t fight the whimpers that rise in her throat. “Majesty --” she greets him “-- please please -- I’m sorry -- I -- I’m sorry please --” her lungs won’t expand, she has to drag in frequent breaths between the pleas“-- please I won’t -- do it again -- please mercy --” He steps close, drinking in her misery. His hand cups the side of her face. “-- please --” she whispers “-- Majesty -- please --”
His fingers trace across her cheek. He brushes her hair back gently and tucks it behind her ear. Perhaps it’s a good thing she can barely lift her head, or she’d flinch away from him. Flinching is punished, she's learned that. “I was merciful.” His tone is soft. Ariadne’s stomach turns, thinking of the brutality that he calls merciful. “And you betrayed my trust. Why should I be merciful again?”
Ariadne sobs breathlessly. She knew, when she tried to run. She knew that if she was caught it would be -- beyond nightmare. And she was caught. “I’ll -- I’ll be better --” she promises “”-- I’m so -- so sorry -- ple-ease--!” The King smiles. His fingers brush across her cheek again and linger at her temple, tracing half-circles, dancing across the skin. The memory of agony is just beneath the surface, starting to stab behind her eyes. She whines. She hurts so much but it can be so much worse, will be so much worse. “Have you learned?” “I have learned I -- won’t ever again --” she gasps “-- please --” She won’t, she means it. She doesn’t know why she ever thought it would work. Of course he is always watching. Somehow. There’s no escape. She can’t imagine --
His magic floods into her skull and the thought is gone.
Nothing else he does to her can compete for sheer pain. Her head shatters into a hundred glass-edged shards of agony. Her body burns as if alight, as if tearing itself apart, as if dunked into molten iron. She doesn’t feel herself convulse. Doesn’t feel her body arch and her feet come off the floor, doesn’t even feel the ligaments tearing in her arms. She doesn’t feel her breath stop in her lungs, or hear the wild, mindless shriek that tears out of her a few seconds later. She feels only the pain.
He stops, and her body goes limp. “Apologise.” The sound is distant and muddy. Her vision is dark and swimming. Her mouth moves, but she knows no words to give to him. He doesn't give her time to find them.
Agony slams down and whites out her world.
When it eases, her scream slides into a wavering, drawn-out whine.  “Apologise,” the King orders, somewhere far away. She can’t think, can’t breathe, can’t see. The sounds she makes aren’t sentences, aren't even words. Just fragmented syllables. “Breathe first.” A quiet command. “A few deep breaths for me.” That she can obey and she does. Her air-starved body is eager to suck in gasp after desperate gasp.
His magic crashes through her mind again.
She can’t hear herself scream, but the sound is piercing and drawn-out and raw with suffering. She wails until her air runs out, keeps trying to scream as her throat closes around a strangled hiss. A convulsion, an involuntary breath, and she screams again. Over and over until her voice cracks and breaks.
When he breaks it off, thought does not return instantly. Sensations other than pain creep in piecemeal. The roughness in her throat as she whimpers and gasps. The terrible weight of her body. Her torturer’s voice. The words are noise to her first. Rough-edged fragments of syllable turn slowly in her scattered mind before coming clumsily together to convey meaning. He said apologies -- a word she understands -- and waiting. “I’m sorry --” she forces out weakly. “I’m -- so -- sorry -- Ma-ajesty.” She's still struggling to breathe when his fingers return to her temple, brushing feather-light across the stinging skin. She keens in fear, but can muster no more fight than a few weak twitches. “Do you think those few measly words are acceptable apologies?” Apologies -- acceptable? “No -- Majesty.” Never good enough, she is never good enough. “I -- sorry -- was so -- ungrateful -- I -- I’ve learned…"
Reason starts to return as she falters her way through the pleas. She remembers who she is, and who he is -- the King she thought she idolised -- who owns her and breaks her and knows everything she thinks. "I won’t ever -- again." Whatever it is she did. "I’m so sorry -- please --" She tried to run, that's what she did, and failed. "-- please, please forgive me…”
As she stammers and shudders, the King walks behind her, leaving her swimming field of vision. She feels touch at her torn shoulder, and doesn’t recognise it until the full length of the braided leather trails across her back. The whip. To drive home her failure. How lowly she is. Oh dead gods, not like this...
“You’re going to offer me ways to be better,” the King informs her. “To show you’re truly grateful for what you’ve been given. That you’re grateful for the honor to work with such a high profile prisoner. That you’re grateful for my luxuries and my protection.” The whip cracks behind her and makes her twitch -- once, twice. “I’ll stop when I’m satisfied you’ve learned your lesson and then I promise to heal you.”
He promises. An end in sight -- more agony first but an end.
“Yes Your Majesty.” Her head is crowded with splitting, blinding pain. She falls back on phrases that are rarely wrong. “Thank you Your Majesty.” Another crack, another flinch to wrack her with pain and flood her with dreadful anticipation. “You have the chance to speak after each lash.”
The whip slams into her back with terrible force. The impact hurts, and the jolt of being thrown forwards against the chains is worse. A cracking scream, and then she is scrambling to guess what he wants her to say.  “I - I-I - won’t -- won’t e-ever defy you again--!” “No, Ariadne. You’re offering ways to be better, remember?” Sickening, false concern threads through his tone. “I want to heal you, not hurt you more. So tell me how you plan to improve.”
A second lash, just as hard. The tip curls round her dislocated shoulder and cuts into the swollen flesh. Ariadne screams and sobs. “I’ll --” sob “-- work better -- harder --” sob “-- ge-et results.”
The third lash lands across the back of her legs. The weal burns badly, but the jerk on her arms is a little less. “How can you prove you’re grateful?” “I -- I -- tha-ank you and --” a high, scared whine slips out “-- every time -- enthusiasm --?”
Across her back again. Less force than the first. She still screams. “Breathe before you answer.” Permission not to answer at once. She breathes desperately. “I’ll -- I’ll kneel and -- kiss your boots -- I’ll -- I’m very grateful please--!” “Kneeling, yes, but that’s a given.” She can hear the irritation in his voice and she wants to cower. “Why did I bring you back here? What is your purpose and how can you serve it?”
The whip crashes across her shoulders again and she howls loud and long. What does he want her to say? “Hh-- h-here to -- nnhh --” whine, gasp “-- here to i-interrogate your prisoners -- Majesty--! I’ll -- I’m -- grateful to serve I --” Her voice climbs in pitch as she fumbles, anticipating the next lash.
But the King walks round in front of her, starting to roll up the whip, and she feels a surge of desperate hope. “Keep going.” “I’ll hurt anyone you say and not ask questions and thank you for the --” gasp “-- opportunity and --” gasp “-- do my work with enthusiasm and say thank you and -- and -- never disobey -- and --” Words come harder as her lungs empty of air. Anger flashes in the King’s eyes. She panics as he puts his hands on her shoulders. A sharp push down and she convulses, trying to scream, suffocating.  “I’m practically giving you the answer Ariadne,” he snarls. “What have you been doing this whole time? What is the task you’ve been set to do? Enthusiasm is the gratitude but I need to know that you will do better with your goals.”
Her body spasms as he releases the pressure. Her eyes roll in their sockets. “Breathe before you answer,” he orders coldly, “don’t make me pull the whip out again.” Those breaths come as frantic, high, strained whines at first, but her throat does loosen. “I’ll -- get results --” she promises as soon as she can, “I swear -- she’ll scream she’ll -- tell you a-anything you want -- I -- I’ll break he-er--!”
He pauses. Smiles. Fractional pressure on her ruined shoulder and she sobs harder. “Her?” he asks, voice low and dangerous. For several seconds, she doesn’t understand. Then: “It!” she squeaks, “-- i-it I meant it I sorry I no ple-ease please--!” He pushes down hard and she thrashes wildly. Bones crack beneath his hands - collarbone, rib, shoulder joint on the side that wasn’t destroyed. She wails and wails, feeling the promise of mercy slipping away. “Once more,” he demands. “And choose your words more carefully.” “C-c--” she chokes out “-- c -- mh -- p-ple-e -- nnh --” “Take a deep breath,” he orders, letting up very slowly on her shoulders. Her whole body shudders as she obeys. “Again. Now, tell me what you are going to achieve for me.” The answer is just out of reach. “... please ...” she whimpers. The pressure increases. “I -- I -- I --”  “Breathe.” Deep breath. “I -- the, the dragon.” Desperate, sharp-edged hope. “The -- I’ll -- I’ll break h-hhn -- it, it -- I’ll -- I’ll break i-it for you Majesty -- I-I will... ” He takes his hands off her, and she can only sob.
Seconds later, the chains release and drop her body to the floor.  She crumples, boneless, as pain consumes her world yet again.

Personality Profile: Celia Gorgon
Huffleclaw, ISFJ-T, Type 6, Lawful Good, Libra Sun
BURNT HUFFLEPUFF PRIMARY, RAVENCLAW SECONDARY
So Celia is definitely a Burnt Hufflepuff Primary. I knew there had to be something burnt with her, and for this it’s her primary. Her circumstances has caused her to be fearful and shrink her community down to a few people she knows and trusts rather than a larger group of people. She’s afraid of hurting people in her community or being hurt, and so she cuts off some of those ties that she actually might like to have. She wishes to reconnect with her family and more people in general, but thinks that it’s dangerous for all involved.
The Ravenclaw Secondary is also a very key element to Celia’s personality. She likes to prepare for things ahead of time. She’s not the best improviser if she doesn’t have the tools readily available to act with. She has detailed knowledge on biology, chemistry, physics, and then also baking and cooking. In those areas she’d have the most knowledge and experience, and she’d be able to come up with solutions relating. She doesn’t have a lot of knowledge of physical things so she wouldn’t have any good reactions to a fight scenario.
ISFJ-T
Celia shares the Defender with Kanga. But where Kanga might have been assertive, Celia was definitely more turbulent. A turbulent MBTI meaning success-driven, perfectionistic, and eager to improve. They are always trying to counterbalance their self-doubts by achieving more. Just as they push themselves to become better, they’re as likely to push their projects or efforts in the same direction. Turbulent personality types tend to notice little problems and often do something about them before they become larger ones. Turbulent personality types may compulsively scan for what might go wrong instead of keeping their eyes on more positive targets – on what could go right. That’s something that Celia is probably more aware of than others.
TYPE 6: THE LOYALIST
The loyalist ties in with the turbulent element of Celia’s MBTI. People of this personality type essentially feel insecure, as though there is nothing quite steady enough to hold onto. At the core of the type Six personality is a kind of fear or anxiety. This anxiety has a very deep source and can manifest in a variety of different styles, making Sixes somewhat difficult to describe and to type. What all Sixes have in common however, is the fear rooted at the center of their personality, which manifests in worrying, and restless imaginings of everything that might go wrong.
LAWFUL GOOD
A lawful good character acts as a good person is expected or required to act. She combines a commitment to oppose evil with the discipline to fight relentlessly. She tells the truth, keeps his word, helps those in need, and speaks out against injustice. A lawful good character hates to see the guilty go unpunished. While strict in their prosecution of law and order, characters of lawful good alignment follow these precepts to improve the common weal. Certain freedoms must, of course, be sacrificed in order to bring order; but truth is of highest value, and life and beauty of great importance. The benefits of this society are to be brought to all.
LIBRA SUN
In theory, Libras are peace-loving. In practice, they can quietly stir up all sorts of trouble with their ways. Because Libra enjoys balance in their lives, they seek the middle ground. In the process, they may end up trying to be everything to everyone. Harmony is the ultimate goal, but their idealism and high expectations can mean plenty of discontent. Since life presents all of us with an extraordinary amount of choices, if Libra doesn’t learn to live in the moment at least some of the time, they’ll be in a constant state of unrest.
TAURUS MOON
Familiarity is important to Lunar Taureans. These people are earthy and strong-willed. They feel with their senses and they are pretty much rooted in their ways. They revel in material comforts–in fact, building a solid and comfortable home and foundation helps to keep them feeling safe and content. It isn’t wise to try to push Lunar Taureans into doing anything, but once they have made a commitment, they’re persevering. Relationships with people born with this position of the Moon are often quite enduring. Many Moon in Taurus people hang onto their mates, even in the face of serious conflict. Taurus is a fixed sign, so break-ups don’t happen easily.

Enough is Enough. Fans have the right idea after Sabres 5, Flyers 2
NOW!
Not Christmas. Not the All-Star Break. Not the trade deadline.
NOW!
There is no longer time to wait for the Flyers do do something, anything to change the culture and identity of this team.
This can be done in several ways. It can be a firing, head coach or assistant. It can be trade from the NHL roster – and it needs to be an impact one, not something small to say, “oh hey, we made a change.”
And if none of that happens, it can be done with a change in management.
But something has to happen, because what you saw, if you cared to watch, was possibly the worst period this season that resulted in a 5-2 loss in Buffalo Wednesday.
And I’m not talking just for the Flyers. No. It was certainly their worst period. I’m saying it could have been the worst 20 minutes played by any NHL team at any time in this season’s first two months.
And it was a complete and utter failure by everyone from the top down.
The Flyers, after three days off, were completely outplayed, out-skated, outworked out-everythinged by the Buffalo Sabres for the game’s first 20 minutes. The effort was completely, absolutely and absurdly unacceptable.
Dave Hakstol knew it. He used his timeout nine minutes into the game. Of course the team was already trailing 3-0. And he was as animated as I’ve ever seen him on the bench laying into his players.
It didn’t matter… not until the second period at least.
Because from the start of the second period until the Sabres got an empty net goal to ice the game, the Flyers were excellent. They played pissed off. They ramped up their physical play. They controlled puck possession. They generated scoring chances. They had the Sabres on their heels. They even outscored them 2-0. Frankly, we have a hockey game and probably a different outcome if they would have, you know, started the game this way.
But they were completely unprepared… again. Their penalty kill let up a goal… again. They have an AHL caliber goalie in net… again.
Alex Lyon is a competitor. He’s not going out there and purposely messing the bed. But he gave up four goals on 12 shots. Three on rebounds and one from a bad angle. That can’t instill confidence in the team in front of you.
Not that the team in front of him was any help. They were the freakin’ Keystone Cops on the ice for the first 20 minutes. It was really embarrassing. Turnover, Turnover, Turnover. Out of position. Lame defensive effort. You name the negative plays that result in goals against and the Flyers had them on grand display for 20 minutes against the Sabres.
Frankly, it sucks to keep writing about this, too. Not just for me, or any other person who is actually paid to cover this team, but for the fans who take to their own blogs, or online forums, or social media to write the same thing every day.
I am personally most thankful for them on this Thanksgiving evening. The fans who put up with the same lather, rinse, repeat mentality of the Flyers every day. It’s especially frustrating for them and I feel their pain.
So, in honor of them, rather than give you more repeated analysis of the same breakdowns of bad goals from the game, or highlight more turnovers, or say things like, “hey, they’re playing better and showing some fight and trying to comeback again” after goals by Claude Giroux and Wayne Simmonds, even though that is for naught, I decided to share some of the fans Twitter fire.
They deserve to be heard. The Flyers should definitely be listening.
And for the record, this is all from a Twitter search of the word “Hakstol.” I could be here all day if I wanted to search other Flyer-related words too. In chronological order:
This is on Hextall, and to a lesser extend Hakstol.
— Yo (@FlyGoalScoredBy) November 22, 2018
just heard a “Fire Hakstol'' scream… in Buffalo
— Sam Donnellon (@samdonnellon) November 22, 2018
I am convinced Dave Hakstol legitimately ignores coaching defense
— Kevin A (@Mister856) November 22, 2018
alex lyon you are not the goalie
— Fire Hakstol (@Benjami92357503) November 22, 2018
Can someone put some romaine lettuce in Dave Hakstol's lunch tomorrow?
— Josh Lyons (@TheLyons_Den) November 22, 2018
That one is just wrong Josh….. but it did make me laugh!
kindly launch every one of dave hakstol’s wakeboards into the sun plz
— 𝘰𝘯𝘨𝘰 𝘨𝘢𝘭𝘰𝘨𝘪𝘢𝘯 (@Doonbugs) November 22, 2018
I’m not sure if Mike Sielski ever knew what he would have wrought on this city with that Hakstol profile last summer. His story was sort of the Bizarro Gritty.
Great start to this Flyers game. Really glad that employed head coach Dave Hakstol got the boys ready to go tonight. Don’t know where this team would be without him and his innovative leadership skills.

Well, the pains of being a Flyers fan continues. I've never been all aboard the Fire Hakstol train but this is seriously getting old. We obviously need to solve the goalie carousel as well. It's not a pretty picture.
— Chris Childress (@311child) November 22, 2018
When the patient get inpatient, you know it’s bad.
Time for a change flyers! Either the core goes or hakstol, it’s pretty simple. Coaching doesn’t help out the personnel and personnel doesn’t help the coaching
— Clint Surgeoner (@ClintSurge) November 22, 2018
Note: This is not my burner account.
You know what? Fuck it, get rid of Hextall and Hakstol and put Lombardi in charge. Hire Q of course, but Hextall is just as much to blame now as Hak.
— ReignInBlood

For every day that goes by without a firing, this slowly becomes a "Hakstol is hurting this team" to a "Hextall and Hakstol hurting this team" thing. #FlyersTalk
— Chris Valentine (@lcvalent) November 22, 2018
It’s gonna be so fun when the flyers lose 10 games in a row for the second year in a row and hakstol still doesn’t get fired
— laura (@llxnne) November 22, 2018
I’ve always been defensive of Hakstol but this is just getting absolutely ridiculous
— Mark Murphy (@MARKmyWord116) November 22, 2018
Can't be the only one who doesn't want Jordan Weal in the lineup
— Hakstol Sucks (@BrianBertele) November 22, 2018
I hope the flyers get absolutely smashed tonight so Hextall can grow a fucking pair of balls and fire Hakstol. This team needs a major change.
— Patrick Janus (@jatpanus) November 22, 2018
Good job with the goalies, Hextall. I almost feel bad for Hakstol
— Dan Knightly (@DanKnightly) November 22, 2018
This is definitely something that Hextall has to take blame for. Definitely. He had two injured NHL goalies and a bunch of AHL goalies. What did he think was going to happen?
There is an identity problem as a whole as a franchise. When it comes down specifically to the players, they are just not getting done and not executing properly. I don’t think firing Hakstol automatically solves problems, but at this point something just needs to be done.
— Anthony (@AnthonyDiGrazio) November 22, 2018

More like when they lose tonight, tomorrow and the game after that, Hakstol will still be the coach and everyone but G will continue to play like they don't give a shit.
— bobby (@SukiHana) November 22, 2018
I liked the last part of Bobby’s tweet. It does seem like that sometimes. Not always… but sometimes.
the problems stem FAR beyond Hakstol, but he certainly isn't an innocent bystander in this mess https://t.co/VyeDC4qiN6

And if our only defense of the man is “well he drafts well and can get the most from assets,” is there a tipping point where we look to make a change at GM? Do we trust him to hire a new head coach if he’s so adamantly behind Dave Hakstol? Tune in next time on Dragon Ball Z.

@28CGiroux fourth straight loss…. care to move on yet? You and Hakstol?
— Geez (@likethepyramids) November 22, 2018
Unfair to put blame on Giroux. He plays his ass off. But hey, I understand the vitriol, even if it’s misguided.

Thanks Colin!!
The longer Hakstol remains the head coach the more I start to feel Hexy and ownership don’t value winning and that should worry all @NHLFlyers fans..
— CJ Bond (@bondcjbond) November 22, 2018
The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results. Hakstol has been terrible. It’s time to go.
— Rich (@richcapra) November 22, 2018
Oh… there it is…. I know someone would provide the answer. Thanks Rich!
But I agree Hakstol has to go…. we all remember what a college coach did to our football team.
— Cyle (@cap_018) November 22, 2018
Gotta love a vague Chip Kelly reference.
Let's be real, if they are 2 or 3 bad games from getting a coach fired, will 4-5 good games really make a difference, in the big picture? If Hextall thinks a decent run of games saves Hakstol's job, he's just delaying the inevitable.
— Brian (@Trizellini) November 22, 2018
Russ and I talked about this on Snow the Goalie a couple weeks ago. This is a fair point. If playing well for five games gets you back to mediocrity, is that a good enough reason to hold on to the coach?
Welcome to being a Flyers fan in the Dave Hakstol Era https://t.co/wAN5wZz4Rs
— Alex Littman (@Alitt30) November 22, 2018
The coolest thing that Hakstol has done is bridge the gap between analytics people and anti-analytics people. Both sides finally agree on something: this team is going nowhere under this coach.
— Brad Keffer (@brad_keffer) November 22, 2018
This really is true, isn’t it?
The Comcast Group needs to step in and fire the GM and coach. It’s clear Hextall thinks his agenda is working. There is a 3 time cup winning coach unemployed while Hakstol still has a job?!? This core has be together for 8 years now and produced nothing. Time for major changes.
— Steve Johnson (@TheSteveNoize) November 22, 2018
Comcast is the biggest, and I mean BIGGEST problem with the Flyers right now. I can’t stress that enough.
Hopefully the Rangers come in here and stomp us and the building is overrun with boos and "Fire Hakstol" chants……that humiliation on national TV might just be enough to make somebody do something……then again maybe not
— franko65 (@Raiderfrank65) November 22, 2018
It could get ugly tomorrow, especially if the Rangers score first.
this team is a fucking nightmare…. an absolute nightmare https://t.co/M3YzEv7jK8
— Fire Hakstol (@Benjami92357503) November 22, 2018
Yep Tyrell Goulbourne… that’s the answer the team needs. I’m done.

Usable .S.C.P. Foundation terminology
As always constructive feedback is welcome.
Simply a list of terms originating from the .S.C.P. Foundation concept that seem to be compatable with Faction Paradox media, I'm not saying they should be used just that they could.
(Naturally I've purposely missed one out).
Anomalous Science
Antimemetic: Antimemes, (also known as counterconcepts) are ideas which, by their intrinsic nature, discourage or prevent people from spreading them. The Foundation has an Antimemetics Division investigating and containing anomalous antimemes.
Cognitive Resistance Score/Cognitive Resistance Value, (.C.R.V.): A measurement of the mental fortitude and resistance of an individual to mind-affecting anomalies, particularly those that are memetic. Also known as a Cognitohazardous Resistance Score, Cognitohazard Resistance Value, Mind-Affecting Resistance Score, (.M.A.R.S.) or Psychic Resistance Score, each measured using the corresponding scale.
Cognitohazard: A term used to refer to objects that are dangerous to perceive. This could occur through any or all of the human senses, including sight, sound, smell, taste, or touch. Differs from an infohazard in that simply being informed about a cognitohazard has no anomalous effect. (See also Memetics and Hermeneutic).
Essophysics: The scientific study of the physical embodiments or manifestations of abstract concepts.
Infoallergenic: An uncommon class of infohazard, capable of exhibiting both memetic and antimemetic properties. (See also Pretermemetic).
Infohazard: A term used to refer to objects that have an anomalous effect whenever they are referred to or described. Differs from a cognitohazard in that cognitohazards require the anomalous phenomenon to be directly perceived, whereas infohazards may be spread indirectly, simply through people telling each other about them. Because of this, the effects of infohazards are often memetic.
Kinetohazard/Kinetoglyphs: Anomalous mental and physical effects that occur when an entity performs specific gestures and movements.
Memetic: Memes are the basic units of culture, ideas or behaviours that can be transmitted to others through communication or imitation. In the context of the Foundation, memetic effects are a sub-class of cognitohazards and infohazards that deal with the transfer of information. Ideas and concepts with anomalous memetic properties can spread much more effectively than non-anomalous memes, and may have anomalous effects on anyone exposed to them. Creators and users of anomalous memetic effects may be referred to as memeticists or cryptomancers.
Narrativohazard: A construct of independent, individual units of narratives, (known as narremes) that collectively destroys stories they are part of.
Narreme: The basic unit of a narrative, much like memes are the basic units of a culture.
Ontokinesis/Ontokinetic: Clinical term for reality bending.
Pataphysics/Pataphysics: The scientific study of fictional narratives and their effect on reality, including the study of the fictional .S.C.P. universe by characters that are part of it. Pataphysics was originally proposed as a parody of science, being one step up from metaphysics and defined as the study of imaginary solutions. See the Narrative Anomalies Orientation for more information. (See also Narrativistics).
Anomalous Technology
Agnostics: Substances that makes consumers more open to otherwise incomprehensible anomalous phenomena by altering their thought-patterns to become more illogical. (See also Surrealistics).
Countermeme/Memetic inoculation: An memetic concept, a counter-meme protects against or reverses the effects of an anomalous meme.
Geas: The use of memetic agents to force a person to obey a set of rules or guidelines. The name comes from Irish mythology, where a Geas is a magically enforced prohibition against certain actions.
Gnostics: The opposite of an agnostic, gnostics make one more certain and sure of things, although this does not necessarily make them correct.
Memetic Kill Agent: A memetic hazard with a lethal effect on anyone exposed to it without the appropriate inoculation with a countermeme. Used to protect SCP-001 and other important data from unauthorised access.
Mnestic: The opposite of an amnestic, mnestics are chemical compounds that enhance the user's memory. This can be used to bring back erased or forgotten memories, counter the effects of amnestics, and resist antimemetic effects.

.T.B.o.t.W. the enemy entry analysis
As always constructive feedback is welcome.
"On one side are the Great Houses, who might be considered the truely conservative forces of creation, occupying a position outside of normal time and attempting to maintain the status quo which has existed since the beginning of the Spiral Politics itself. But on the other side… who?". Elsewhere in the book were are told that: 1.The two sides oppose each other due to their very natures. 2.The Enemy is associated with Los from William Blake's mythology, the embodiement of human creativity and inspiration that opposes Urizen the embodiement of reason and law. 3.The Eye of Harmony which maintains the history meta framework is the enemy's prime target. It's fair to assume that the enemy opposes the Timelord's imposition of their history metaframework which it sees, (possibly to varying degrees for different reasons) as limiting. It's also stated that merely disabling the eye of Harmony supposedly leads to the destruction of all linear domains, (and thus cultures) that would mean that the reps as a whole were suicidialy devoted which doesn't come up anywhere else.
"expecting everyone to take the meaning as read". Possibly Timelord arrogance, (though partially justified given they defended the universe from at least Yssgaroth and the Racnoss albeit as the Book notes not entirely out of humanitarian reasons) but could also be valid if the destruction of all linear domains is the effect of the enemy's victory.
"Faraway Declaration, (only 35 years before the beginning of the War)". From their, (and the now presently linked posthumanity's) perspective the Timelords had 35 years to prepare. 35 years between The Faraway Declaration and Dronid/Destruction of Gallifrey 3, (Romana's).
"The enemy isn't a single species or even a distinct political faction". "though it has a leader, or at least a, "head" or, "founder" to focus on the leader would be pointless. The enemy is a process". Suggests that the enemy consists of two parts: a founder who became the coordinating leadership and the reps. It is pointless to focus on the leadership for the same reason that it's name is inadequate because it is the combination of the two parts together that makes it a threatening rival power not just the leadership alone, (however some references to the enemy seem to refer soley to the leadership). The process of opposing the Timelord's, "rule" of time and the imposition of history to varying degrees and different reasons.
"nor is it because the enemy has wiped it's name from history altogether, although that does seem like a viable war tactic". Suggests that the enemy's abilities include tempo-psychological warfare, (presumably with the Reps destroying any physical artifacts and computer records they came across while the leadership edited or erased records by some unknown possible innate method such as it did to Devonire's Kaiwair, "recording").
"To fully understand the nature of the enemy, it's vital to understand the context of it wich it exists. See also the: Churchill Index, Immaculata Formosii, the Gods of the ainu, Miss Hiroshima, Mohandassa, Sixth Wave Defections, S'tanim, and Violent Unknown Events". The missing entries by their nature and that they either directly relate to: the enemy, (ie: The Gods of the Ainu and S'tanim) and or their possible capabilities, (ie: Violent Unknown Events, Mohandassa, and Sixth Wave Defections).
I can't help but think I'm overlooking something obvious here.

Order of the Weal profile
Maxim: "Let's wind it up and see where it goes". "We don't have a history. We have a mythology. Our past is full of gods and monsters rather then people. Excrement. It's all excrement", Chatelaine Thessalia.
Dates 900.B.T.W., (10 years before the Morbius presidency): Founded during the breif realpolitik attack that resulted in Morbius's presidency. 500,000 post Anchoring: Chatelaine Thessalia and her obvious sucessors are killed. 400.B.T.W./100years before Gandfather Paradox's release: Ceased operating.
Purpose Common Weal= Common Good. Ruthlessly rationalist and covert. Developed Morbius's realpolitik gesturing into a pure, nihilist philosophy. Secretly held sway over the Timelords for nearly 700 years after Morbius's Presidency. Founded by the Morbius, (who also chose Thessalia as it's head) partly as an useful counter intelligence service, (combat the Houses's, "quiet megolomania" and the rising interventionalist movements) but also a chance to remould a House to his own ideaology. Rejected the traditon starting stories of the anchoring engineers regarding them as sprious at best and ideaological at worst. All oral history was considered to be lies designed to obsure or excuse contemporary political activity, (intervention groups were suspected intervention groups were planting new political mythologies into the noosphere visa the Eye of Harmony, the Order planted false histories and counter myths soley to see the infomration vectors). The start of the paranoia age which remained in full swing at least 50 years.D.T.W. and unlikely to ever end. Preserved the establishment by pro actively courting troublemakers and endorsing radical political views to prevent: malcontents, renegades, and radicals them from joining genuine anti establishment forces. First operational success was the exposure and descrediting of Morbius as a fanatic, 9he may have been disappointed but wasn't surprised). Then it turned it's attention to the more extremist interventionalist groups as the enemy with which were seeking power at the expense of the common good, (renegades and cults could be tolerated or exploited). As more time active cultures noticed Gallifrey's existance and the Timelords felt a creeping dread about the outside universe the Order switched it's attention to the possibility of a sustained invasion by a unknown formidale enemy andaonding the Common Weal for pragmatism. Offworld missions were sanctioned to monitor Violent Uknown Events hoping they would gain a future glimpse. They were dedicated to tracking down and iioslating the enemy but had no starting point. Soon all of their timeships were tied up in offworld surviellance, (including at the Fornier of Time). Panic began to set in amongst the Timelord and the Order started falling apart. Contiuned to function after deaths of Thessalia's and her most obvious successors under several caretaker directors with inertia initially keeping most of the operations going but the network of agents and contacts were now inaccessible and fragmented so it's functions and members were gradually subsumed by other Interventionalist groups. Remembered as a typical also ran cult, one among the many established in the millenium before the War eclipsed by House the Faction Paradox. History had overtaken it as Gallifrey was living out Morbius's legacy. May have commissoned the Babels.
Agents Had 170 active members. Simple heirarchy with the Chatelaine directing all operational matters along with her heir apparent, (which frequently changed according to her whims). Staffed by malcontents from other Houses given combat training but the majority carried out the required daily administration. Myrmidobs, (antmen) were the best trained and equipped soldiers on the Gallifrey. Acted as both the Chatealine's elite bodyguard and emergency shock troops permenantly stationed in the order's four timeships. Black and gold liveried. (Possibly used .T.T&L.G.T.W. era armour and equipment). Cultivated contact with renegades and radicals giving it a large informal spy and sleeper network who's idnetities were only known to the Chatelaine and her inner circle. Keen to recruit, "mutant" agents. Never used the House Ixion loom, (presumably for ideaological reasons). Proccupied with unstable bloodlines could have prompted it to subtly alter active looms's programming dynamics to see what would happen/create future recruits. Initiation was deprogramming the recruitee by removing the cultural and pychological blocks that blinkered them to the outside universe.
Other Three major potenitally suspect sources of information: 1.Posthuman sects eyewitness accounts regarding events surrounding it's eventual destruction. 2.Former Weal agents testimony, (incomplete and tainted by subsequent associations). 3.Chatelaine Thessalia's, "Little Book of Power".

[Personal Headcanon] Timelord diplomat Disclaimer: This is not me attempting impose it on everyone else as a definitive just as reference for my work following this to avoid confusion. The series 4 Timlord action figure with robes that do not match any of the Chapters's is a pre .S.W.i.H./.S.G.T.W. and .T.W.i.H./.T.&L.G.T.W. Timelord diplomat. Given Timelord pomp and ceremony and the standard diplomatic tactic of showing a united front they would have a seperate non Chapter based set of robes. What was worn to the Venue Accords. Unmodified Timelord robe template by Time-Lord-Rassilon.

— 𝘰𝘯𝘨𝘰 𝘨𝘢𝘣𝘭𝘰𝘨𝘪𝘢𝘯 (@Doonbugs) November 22, 2018

— Steve Alikakos (@Stelios1974) November 22, 2018
More like when they lose tonight, tomorrow and the game after that, Hakstol will still be the coach and everyone but G will continue to play like they don't give a shit.
— bobby (@SukiHana) November 22, 2018
I liked the last part of Bobby’s tweet. It does seem like that sometimes. Not always… but sometimes.
the problems stem FAR beyond Hakstol, but he certainly isn't an innocent bystander in this mess https://t.co/VyeDC4qiN6
— Negative Dan The Flyera Fan (@DanTheFlyeraFan) November 22, 2018
And if our only defense of the man is “well he drafts well and can get the most from assets,” is there a tipping point where we look to make a change at GM? Do we trust him to hire a new head coach if he’s so adamantly behind Dave Hakstol? Tune in next time on Dragon Ball Z.

@28CGiroux fourth straight loss…. care to move on yet? You and Hakstol?
— Geez (@likethepyramids) November 22, 2018
Unfair to put blame on Giroux. He plays his ass off. But hey, I understand the vitriol, even if it’s misguided.

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone but Dave Hakstol and Ron Hextall.
— Colin Moye (@JornadaDelColin) November 22, 2018
I’m done.
