Annie really has become a Charlie Brown-esque punching bag. This entire universe exists just to shit on her.

It’s possible these latest accusations are just spurred on by Zimmy’s ether nonsense. Like when those elf boys were forced to inhabit the role of her old bullies while Zimmy relived a traumatic memory. She seems like she’s under a lot of stress right now.

But it’s not like anybody else gives her more of a benefit of a doubt than this. It seems equally likely that they genuinely have just jumped to an absolute worst faith interpretation of her actions, sincerely accusing her of murder based on wild mental connections they’ve constructed out of whole cloth despite her never having been anything but good to any of these people. Just based on how the comic’s been going.

Even if it was ether nonsense, would that be in service of anything in particular? Or would it just be a magic reason for her to take more abuse?
