Dear Annie,
I would like to complement and send my great appreciation to the team of workers - Ben, Paul, and another man (who actually did the work) - who came to make the repairs in my unit last Tuesday. I'm not actually sure who to send this email to so I thought I would send it to you.
These men were very professional and worked very efficiently on each item one after another until they were all completed. I was very impressed to say the least (and I suppose you know how I like efficiency).
The day it was scheduled on happened to be a very convenient day for me as well. I very much appreciated their work and professionalism.

Danforth Village Estates 20th Anniversary Party/ Purchasers Meeting
Danforth Village Estates, an Options community currently under development, celebrated Options 20th Anniversary at the Agincourt Library.
Residents got together to mix and mingle with their new neighbours and hear about the progress being made on their future home!

World Habitat Day Flag Raising Celebrating 20 Years of Creating Cost-Effective Ownership Housing
Yesterday was United Nations World Habitat Day. Options for Homes and Home Ownership Alternatives took the opportunity to celebrate 20 years of cost-effective home ownership in Toronto, and around the world, with two events.
The first was a flag raising at Toronto City Hall where Options and HOA received a proclamation from the city. We were lucky to hear from Options CEO Mike Labbé, City of Toronto Affordable Housing Office Manager Erik Hunter and Jill Mulholland, a homeowner at our Cranbrooke Village development.
City Councillors, Kristyn Wong-Tam and Peter Leon and well as Habitat for Humanity Greater Toronto Area CEO Ene Underwood were on hand to lend their support at the World Habitat Day flag raising celebrating Options and HOA's 20th Anniversary.

Happy World Habitat Day!
World Habitat Day takes place on the fist Monday of October all over the world. It was officially designated by the United Nations in 1985 and first celebrated in 1986.
The purpose of World Habitat Day is to reflect on the state of our cities and towns and the basic human right to adequate shelter. It aims to remind the world that we are responsible for the habitat of future generations.
This year the theme of UN World Habitat Day is "Voices from Slums". Learn more about this years theme and campaign here.
World Habitat Day is near and dear to Options and this year marks the third annual Options for Homes/Home Ownership Alternatives World Habitat Day Celebration Event!
For the past 20 years Options for Homes has been dedicated to providing quality homes in great communities at the best possible price. Options strives to bring home ownership within reach for as many individuals and families as possible.
Since 1994, Options and its affiliated organizations across Canada and around the world have provided over 6,500 households with home ownership oppourtunities.

Top 4 Things People Pay More to Live Near - Options Has Them All, For Less! Part Two: The Village by Main Station
According to this article by Gail Johnson on Yahoo! Canada Finance the top four things we’re willing to pay a premium for when buying a home are: - Rapid Transit - Shops, Services and Restaurants - Kids’ Activities - Schools
But why should these basic conveniences come at a higher price? Options believes that people from diverse backgrounds and incomes as low as 20,000 should have access to these amenities and has been creating communities based on that belief for 20 years!
We already outlined these four conveniences at our Danforth Village Estates development. Now lets take a look at The Village by Main Station:
Rapid Transit The Village by Main station will be located on Trent Avenue just east of Danforth Avenue and Main Street, a 5 minute walk from Main Street Station.
Shops, Services and Restaurants The Village by Main Station is a short walk to a variety of shops and restaurants that line Danforth Ave. including Danforth Shoppers World featuring a Metro grocery store and Target. The neighbourhood is home to a number of public recreation spaces, schools, and places of worship.

Options and the Environment
Options was featured in two amazing local publications last week!!
Inside Toronto wrote a great piece about a Green 13 event taking place this Saturday, October 4th with our Heintzman Place development as the feature!
Green 13 is a group of Ward 13 in Toronto residents concerned about the impacts humans are having on our climate and environment.
Green Energy Doors Open is a province-wide showcase of the green energy economy organized by the Ontario Sustainable Energy Association. As part of the celebration Green 13 has worked with several venues to arrange a tour of some examples of green energy in the ward. The venues that will be visited include:
• Heintzman Place • Humbercrest Loblaws • Washngo car wash and laundromat • a private residence • Dr. Carolyn Poon Woo and Associates • Generate Fitness • The High Park Children's Garden

Vasil commends Options for Cars for being the only locally owned, non-profit car-sharing cooperative in Toronto and for Options focus on environmentally friendly cars, condos and development.
