anyway now that it’s seven in the morning and i REALLY need to be asleep i’m gonna do a funky funky introduction for an oc i’ve had for about the same amount of time ive been fixating on twst

except he’s just as developed as all my other ocs

(i will actually do a full effort drawing for him..hopefully)

anyway so shoshi (name may be changed-im iffy on the name ngl) is based off of shock (nightmare before christmas) i have the other two from the trio and oogie (neon haired guy i’ve drawn a few times) too just need to make a proper intro for them

anyway then his cat familiar z-whos based off of zero

so shoshi is technically supposed to be like white pale but i don’t like it as much so he’s just a normal amount of pale

backstory stuff is a wip but the very base of it is:

shoshi comes from and kind of is (?) a ✨grim reaper family✨ living in halloween town (in which most ghosts will avoid him naturally..dude is almost completely oblivious to that fact)

his childhood wasn’t too bad-growing up he was a rule follower, had good grades, had a few friends-overall good kid so not much happening

the only bad thing being he has a goofy (/j) homophobic and transphobic father who was like hella transphobic

shoshi is trans and slightly fruity-so you can imagine how that went-basically being the bright happy child to being almost cut off from his father-eventually shoshi gave up on trying to get accepted by his father and instead said it was a phase and moved on-this being the main reason he grows his hair out

(when asked about going to nrc he just said he heard it was a good school and tricked them into thinking he was a dude)

anyway back to the being a grim reaper-z was a street cat that shoshi had befriended as a small child basically growing up with z- this cat was also supposed to be the first soul he would help guide-shoshi just didn’t (in a more dramatic way but that’s for me to write when i’m not still figuring everything out) and instead made z his familiar-z is linked to shoshis feelings and it’s rare to see the two having different reactions (so z would have to have a very strong emotion for it to show) which is kind of morbid now that i think about it but i swear it’s more of a in sync kind of thing 😭

shoshi has very sensitive skin to the point where when going outside he has to use a sun umbrella (hence the being pale) which wasn’t much of a problem with halloween town being very cloudy and dark but now in nrc is quite off putting with the quiet and mildly reserved nature along with the sun umbrella

he often takes the role of being responsible for his other friends often scolding them for reckless behavior

shoshi is most definitely a cat dad kind of dude

he and z will give someone the most judgy look if they do something stupid

..and then cover for their ass five seconds later

definitely into darker fashion styles (so like alt or whatever wearing a bunch of dark colored celestial clothing is)

Nightmare Before Christmas Headcanons PART 2 (FT. The Skellington kids)

Right off the bat: lay a hand on ANY of the kids, and Jack and Sally will put you in a grave.

Jack isn't a big fan of Fourth of July. The fireworks make him remember getting shot out of the sky.

Sally remembers her life before Halloween Town. She doesn't like talking about it.

People rarely see Sally angry. And that's an insanely good thing.

Jack loves abstract patterns like Sally's dress, where different colors and styles collide and make something incredible.

The witches and other females were insanely jealous of Sally when she and Jack got together. That jealousy became, 'well, damn it' sorrow when they saw the triplets.

Lock, Shock, and Barrel have interacted with the triplets, but don't get closer than glances toward each other on the street; they don't want to face Jack's pure, unbridled fury or see Sally mad.

Jack is extremely glad to have all three triplets, mainly because he wanted to have children back when he was alive.

The children asked about the electric chair, and Jack lied bysaying it was something he found and liked. Luna was smart enough to catch it and asked what really happened. The only thing Jack let her know was that he died, and she didn't need to know anymore than that.

Never try lying to Sally. She'll know instantly.

Jack's 87% sure Sally's never killed anyone, or was angry enough to get to that point, but he genuinely doesn't want to know what either is like.

Daemon is arguably the closest with Sally

While the Easter Bunny still hasn't forgiven Jack, Santa at least knows Jack is harmless... as long as he has something to keep him busy and away from taking over holidays.

Jacob and Luna would absolutely kill each other, if they were alive. It never gets worse than a firefight, but Daemon still traps them in a 'get along' shirt and locks them in a room together.

Sally joined Jack on a Halloween scare once. You would be surprised at how much she got hit on.

She wasn't a fan of it, but got a clear idea of why Jack did.

After the Christmas incident, Jack listens to all of Sally's visions, which has made her consider messing with him, though she never did.

Zero's more than glad to have Sally and the triplets around; they keep Jack from doing anything crazy.

Luna, Jacob, and Zero are best friends; neither argue around him and Zero is just glad neither tries making him a model(looking at you, Daemon).

Zero's new favorite place to sleep is in Sally's lap.

Jack and Sally share a bed, but Zero keeps sleeping between them because the triplets are already enough for him.

Jacob doesn't like the sound of high notes on a violin.

Since all he tastes is cold peanut butter, Jacob and Jack have seen what different things taste like, things like apples, lemons, pumpkins, pickles, and even spicy peppers.

Jacob was severely disappointed at feeling like he was just eating peanut butter, but Jack claimex that this was his worst idea ever,in the worst way imaginabl; he ate a lemon slice like an orange, a pickle, and a pepper.

Jack's called the Pumpkin King because he was found in the pumpkin patch, and because his original idea was to break out of a pumpkin, which didn't work as well as he'd wanted.

Dr. Finklestien wasn't sure about Jack being a partner for Sally, but was sold when Sally tripped and Jack caught her and carried her for the rest of the day.

Despite Dr. Finklestien's opinions, Jewel absolutely loved Sally.

You should've seen her reaction towards the twins.

Lock tried hitting on Luna once, just once, and Daemon and Jacob drop kicked him, much to Jack's delight.

After the Christmas incident, Jack having a new idea is like a Targaryen being born, except instead of gods flipping a coin and the world holding its breath, Jack opens his mouth and the entire town holds its breath.

Here's what would happen if Oogie Boogie was still around or we had the triplets around during the movie or Oogie's Revenge

If getting flayed and cooked alive was because Oogie threatened Sally, then Jack would tear him apart with his hands, consequences be damned.

Jack would fight harder and be more brutal in his fights against Oogie in Oogie's Revenge.

Jacob would help, because he loves his siblings and mother, even though Jack would tell him to go home, where it's safe.

Oh, yeah, Luna and Daemon got kidnapped and hidden somewhere, but escaped and found Jack and Jacob.

Luna used a poison fog attack on Shock and bolted.

Daemon, however, was found in thr fountain because, and don't laugh when you hear this, he escaped, found some rogue, evil skeletons and ghosts, and then attacked one of them, jumping on a ghost's back and holding on as it flew and then vanished, dropping him; in its defense, he bites hard. The rogue skeletons amd ghosts caught up to him, and some larger skeletons saw him and he ran like hell, all of them behind him. To get away, he climbed up a tree, lit a large skeleton on fire, and then fell in the river, where he was carried until ending up in a sort of gutter system and into the fountain, where he was found.

He repeated the story to Sally and Luna and Sally genuinely wondered if Daemon and Jack had the same IQ.

Why does Sally worry so much? Because Jack's either a blind optimist, or genuinely couldn't tell he was getting shot at with airstrike missiles, didn't get that smoke and fire on Christmas is usually a bad thing, and didn't rethink the fact that people don't like getting scared on Christmas.

You’re probably wondering “Wait a minute, isn’t your most important OC in your series not coming until the 2nd or 3rd chapter?” and I would say “I’m proud of him and I’m almost done with his School Uniform vignette, so here’s his profile!” I’ve been doing profiles for some of my OCs at Art Fight, so I wanted to share them here slowly. Here are some things about Felix you should know about so far:

This is Felix Cavatica, a student of Night Raven College who is twisted from Oogie Boogie (Nightmare Before Christmas). He was an ordinary student in his first year when an accident occurred during a secret party at the Ramshackle dormitory which resulted in Felix using a lot of his magic and getting knocked out on the verge of Overblot. When he regained full consciousness, he discovers a magicless human and a cat monster falling into the basement where he resided. Struck with a strong memory curse only he and those not involved with the incident could break and in a somewhat half-Overblot/half-alive state that has not even been discovered yet, Felix finds himself in a complex situation where he wants to find out the truth and get a second chance at life. Fortunately (or unfortunately), Yuu convinces Crowley to give Felix a second chance at his school life by enrolling him as a student in Ramshackle dorm along with Grim. While recovering his memories and trying not to go into full overblot, Felix is now a Second Year Vice Dorm Leader who is trying to keep Yuu and Grim alive and create a dorm based on his personal hero, The Boogeyman. Not knowing his exact future, he takes things one step at a time.

Kudos for those who get the reference in his name. Felix is wearing a Ramshackle Dorm Uniform that he designed with Yuu using the colors from the three ghosts and Grim's magestone. The style is supposed to be a zoot suit with a fedora.  The black lines around his eyes are supposed to be dried out Blot.

Currently, I am writing one of his personal stories and the first chapter of my Twisted Wonderland fic. Felix won’t come in until maybe the second or third chapter. I might double-check when I get the chance.

Looking back on people (especially people), events, other things... a negative, chronic reaction to loss is present throughout. What have you accomplished in life that has made you the most happy? Emotionally healed, a lot. I don't think some things will ever fully scar over, but nevertheless, I don't mentally have fuckin gashes in me. Have you ever struggled with your weight? Ever since the breakup, yes. I thought I was slightly fat before then, but looking at pictures now, I just think "damn hunny u look gud" and realize I was perfectly healthy. But anyway, I was put on a medication called Abilify (full-on name droppin', fuck this med), and it MURDERED my metabolism. I could eat a fuckin carrot and gain five pounds, probably. Emotional eating probably contributed too, but here's the thing: my current doctor took me off of it, knowing the moment I mentioned it that it was not only bad for me and my conditions but also responsible for the extreme weight gain? Pounds dropped like a ton of bricks, and this started before my emotional eating began to die off and regulate. I lost around 80 pounds just from dropping a goddamn pill. Cue college essay-long rant here about how my body image was slaughtered, how much I loathe the fucking doc that kept me on the med and blamed everything on me, and now how I've been stuck weight-wise for two years despite a vast plethora of methods to continue shedding a;sdlkfajkwlelawe GUYS I could rant til my hypothetical great-grandchildren die. ♔ —     alice margaret windsor, the second child of the king and queen of england, and albie’s twin sister. although she’s technically next in the line of succession ( until diana has children of course ), she never really felt like it. everyone always says the spare to the heir gets to have more fun, and while yes it was true, the english monarchs still placed little alice in plenty of classes and courses dealing with how to act and all sorts of proper education. nothing but the best. 

♔ —     though alice definitely found ways to skip a lesson or two, hiding out within more closed off rooms of the palace until it was time to leave. or she’d drag her brother somewhere, just the two of them, and be kids for like, 5 minutes without any guards or teachers breathing down their necks. 

♔ —     she’s thankful she’s albie’s twin and not diana’s because wow if she was already placed in diana’s shadow lowkey as children?? imagine how much worse it’d been. like don’t get her wrong, she loves/adores all her siblings but... it’s a lot. 

♔ —     very charismatic and altruistic, spends a lot of time doing charities and fundraisers, etc stuff like that. not only is it good publicity, which makes everyone happy, but she genuinely does enjoy making somewhat of a difference. like her nice isn’t fake nice, she’s rly out here trying to spread good vibes and all that. a people pleasure to the core tbh? the kid in classes who would’ve given everyone a party invite or valentine bc it was the nice thing to do, and she wouldn’t want anyone to feel left out!! jvncxjk. 

♔ —     she might be sweet and nice but damn does she have the classic windsor stubbornness. 

♔ —     also falls in love a lot more than she wants to but she likes the idea of love bc #hopelessromantic. never actually acts on crushes or anything though really because most of them literally go away within like 2 weeks anyway kdfjbgfhjdfnh. 

♔ —    as a child, she always preferred darker colors ( it was an ironic contrast to her personality, tbh ) and when she was old enough to start choosing her own styles etc, she just went for it and became a gothic beauty queen xoxo we stan happy/perky goths in this house! 

♔ —     the epitome of “i don’t care” actually really cares a lot.

♔ —    a vegetarian!! ovo-lacto vegetarian to be exact ( consumes some animal products, such as eggs and dairy. unlike pescatarians, they do not consume fish or other seafood ).

♔ —     because i’m uncreative ,,, we gonna say she has some of maggie’s tattoos: dagger on her knuckle, anti-bullying quote on her bicep, “fear” on her wrist, bat on her ankle, vampire fangs on her forearm, oogie boogie man on her upper arm.

♔ —    now her secret oooo boy okay! started as a camgirl when she was 18 as a way to claim something for herself? it’s an outlet, so to speak. at first it took awhile because c’mon she’s not the only one obv and she was just starting. but, the more she persisted and continued it, the better and easier it got. part of her feels bad that she’s taking tips ( sometimes very, very generous ones too no less ) when she’s literally a fucking princess of england, but it also makes her?? feel normal, too?? like they don’t know she’s a princess, they just think she’s another girl trying to make some cash and is pretty to look at, lbr. alice actually really loves the attention lol fuck.

♔ —    since she doesn’t show her face and changes the pitch/tone of her voice if she talks ( because speaking to viewers tends to go a long way with establishing a liable connection ), she does wear a long red wig ( like... the super expensive kind that looks Real bc it probably is real jfhbndjsk you know the type ) and goes by the moniker cherry??? because she was 18 and lame and she still is p lame ngl..... but she’s Good at this now and is very meticulous when it comes to keeping cherry / alice separate lives ( or so she thinks bc ahhaa fuckin redqueen ).

♔ —    like, i’m talking girl has her own private studio apartment out in london somewhere under her fake name and pays directly in cash for rent, etc so no paper trails. turns off the locations on her electronics too, all that jazz. has a separate bank account and phone for ‘cherry’ as well ( as predicted, cherry’s phone case is red while her normal phone’s case is black ). all hidden securely. also covers up her visible tattoos with makeup before streaming.

♔ —    there’s literally like, rule no.1 of becoming a camgirl ..... make sure you’re fine/okay if the secret is outed and ofc she’s like.... pssshhh even if i’m a princess idc i’m an adult, it’s my body!!!! but like again.... she really cares a lot. :)) so we also stan a mess.

It’s a Disney world. We’re just living in it.

Thanks to Annual Passholder culture, Instagram influencers, and much-hyped additions to the theme parks, enthusiasm for all things Disney has reached an all-time high.

Maybe you’re searching for something different to wear on your next trip to the parks or an alternative to the official merchandise everyone seems to be wearing. “Soon I had people asking me to make them hats and ears,” she said. “It didn’t take too long for me to realize I had my hands full, so my husband jumped in the business.”

Matt is a graphic designer and has collaborated with Sam on many new ShimmerPop designs. The couple has shifted their focus from hats and ears to theme park apparel.

“While we do a lot of Disney-inspired designs, we love all pop culture and are constantly coming up with new ideas,” Sam said. Their non-Disney designs include riffs on Ghostbusters and Harry Potter.

Welcome Foolish Mortals Long Sleeve T-Shirt

Disney’s Haunted Mansion celebrated its 50th anniversary this fall, prompting the Mouse House to release a ton of new merch. However, you won’t find a design quite like this one among them. The simple, slightly creepy logo features the silhouette of the instantly recognizable placard that greets guests as they enter the attraction.

What we love about it: The tee is a fresh, unfussy take on the signature Haunted Mansion aesthetic that fans of the classic attraction love. The spooky black and purple against the dark gray really pops. Foolish Mortals will want to rock this tee to their next swinging wake.

Dylan tried the Dark Heather-colored long sleeve version in a “unisex” size Large. He described the shirt as “awesome,” as well as “super soft.” He said the tee runs a little long but is still “great.”

Sandy Claws V-Neck T-Shirt

We took this Nightmare Before Christmas-themed women’s T-shirt to the sandy shore of Santa Monica, a strangely fitting setting for Sandy Claws.

The top’s minimalist design packs a graphically pleasing punch. A Santa hat-wearing Oogie Boogie’s green eyes and smile glow against a ghostly black background. Lavender modeled a small, Heather Gray shirt that was true to size in a crisp cotton-polyester blend.

What we love about it: With its bright, playful green and red lettering, this fun, festive T-shirt is perfect for the Christmas season. Fans of The Nightmare Before Christmas will want to rep their favorite gamblin’ boogie man with a yuletide twist. Wear it to your holiday party or, you know, to kidnap the Sandy Claws.

Cantina Party T-Shirt

Now that Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge has opened at Disneyland and Walt Disney World, the geek fashion industry is in overdrive, designing outfits to wear to the fictional planet of Batuu.
