Okay, it's finished. An "art challenge" piece I did for Onyrica's January/February challenge - the theme was "Rebirth" and I made that to "Renaissance" (since it should also mean rebirth if my memory and Google didn't betray me)... and so I drew my OC Alessandro in a fake-Renaissance outfit and setting (because I don't claim historical accuracy for the outfit XD) ... but it's also kind of his "rebirth" since I decided to pick him up as a more frequent character and so he was reborn... 🤷‍♀️

During our last Final Fantasy XIII shoot at the dunes, i wanted to try something based on one of my favorite Fang arts done by @onyrica. I know I'm already pretty messed up under the wind and sun there, but I love the edit work done by ronaldoichi so much! Thank you, Rô!!

Wizards released this statement (in DnD Beyond, wouldn't want to stain the main account with this, of course) regarding the AI art. I'm not really giving them the benefit of the doubt for few reasons:

The artist is very, very straightforward with "I use and love AI". Their profile is filled with AI crap. They are a co-founder to some NFT crap. They're giving out interviews out there about how much they love AI.

They literally posted some of the AI-made artwork on their site YESTERDAY. Surely, someone would've noticed it was AI-made, right? Either when doing the book, when posting it on the web, when printing things out, or when running through their extremely strict policies.

This is a tweet from @/Onyrica about what working with WOTC is like. If an artist goes under so much scrutiniy to ensure the art is "good enough", how hasn't someone said anything about "hey, there's art in this book with the wrong number of fingers, undefined feet, or whatever ungodly thing is going on with the dinosaur"

Also, the fact they didn't even decide to cut working with the artist in question is almost insulting. These books are most probably printed with AI art and people who preordered them are going to get them that way. People have paid a lot for this crap. If you are firm about your anti-AI stance, you'd probably wouldn't want to work with the person that filled your book with AI "sneakily".

I'm so tired of Wizards giving half-assed statements about major fuck ups and people just taking it. They made excuses for sending Pinkertons to a guy's home. They tried to pull the rug on the OGL up until the backlash was too much to bear. Don't trust their lies.

So, it seems like WOTC hired an AI artist for their latest book (Glory of the Giants). The "artist" (in their social media) openly advertises themself as an AI "artist".

I guess the whole OGL mess and sending the Pinkertons wasn't enough, they had to reach a new low. Fantastic timing, gotta say, all while GenCon (the biggest TTRPG con) is currently ongoing.

Just a small handful of my many shots from @onyrica's 3/26/22 Patreon Art Party, in the indoor garden I created in my FCmate's Medium. It was a very big and busy art party that lasted a good several hours, many lovely sketches were created of attendees, and many fun screens taken.

As I've had some DMs asking me what a good ref looks like, I threw this together quickly to give you a rough idea. There's a lot you can do to make a good ref, though most of the time clean and straight pictures of your character are better than swatches and tons of written info.

I've made a real effort to have well-lit shots in 'daylight' or against a white backdrop in game, but not everyone knows what a good ref looks like! If you're new to commissioning, or just want some tips, she's got great ones here - and great art! Go follow Onyrica!

I was playing some music in the quicksand, wild arms, chrono cross, some final fantasy beats... Just kind of lulling away the time by jamming out some tunes. Theres was this lovely midlander who was cheering me on and it was so nice to have someone just chill and listen.

This is my entry to a small art challenge of a creator I follow/support on Patreon (@onyrica). The theme of the challenge is "Cozy Horror". And well... Horror isn't my genre... but I still tried to come up with something and with the theme being "Cozy Horror" and somewhat misunderstood creatures of the horror genre I started to think "What if Kelpies are just really misunderstood?"

And well... all the myths I found in my (admittedly really short) google search about them described them as heinous creatures who drown men to supposedly feed on them. Okay... seems like women were not their victims? And maybe if you have the right lure you can convince even a Kelpie to take you across the river/swamp/etc...?

So... here is my "Cozy Horror" illustration of a smart lady who managed to convince a Kelpie to take her across the swamp because they are actually quite calm creatures. They just don't like to be yelled at and if you approach them with an open mind they might not want to drown you.
