So I made the mistake of checking out the wiki page for Let the right one in tv series....

This is not an expand or diverge, thats fanfic, thats an AU! At best its losely inspired by it.

Eli was never a daughter (dislike that change in the american movie but it doesnt change much after all (except rob us all of bi Oskar) as at least the swedish film stayed far away from the pedo content and I am guessing the american film did the same, but in the book it was a really important aspect that explained a lot of the characters motivations) and sure as hell not Håkans...

Now should I watch this I will def not see it as an adoption but as its totally own thing.

Rebbie's Wrestling Show Reviews - RevPro: Live in Southampton 29 (1/4/2024)

April Fool’s Day, Bank Holiday Monday, and RevPro Live in Southampton 29! It was a big day on 1st April 2024. Me and my dad made our way down to The 1865 for an evening of wrestling greatness just 24 hours after Revolution Rumble 2024, where Luke Jacobs would win the titular match! Before the show, we perused the merch tables which had quite a lot to choose from! I ended up picking up a signed print from the Grizzled Young Veterans. I’m a big fan of GYV, as well as a fellow Liverpool FC fan, so I simply had to. Shook their hands and they recognised us from roughly 30 minutes before when we had both been in the same Forbidden Planet shop looking around. My dad actually had to point them out to me after I walked straight past them somehow. I was also able to get a photo with them, which was awesome. Lovely blokes! We then stood back and got ready for the show.

As Francesca kicked things off, David Francisco got on the mic to express his frustrations. He’s sick and tired of being a Contender, essentially a trainee of RevPro, a position he has held for well over 2 years. He takes off his Contenders shirt, revealing his Chaotic Neutral tee, and says he’s stepping away from being a Contender whether management likes it or not. The crowd are absolutely chuffed to hear this, and he gets a great reaction. As he storms out, he runs into the Contender he beat for a spot in the Rumble, Joshua James.

Gabe Kidd def. Joshua James in 10:14

Fun smacking scrap, with a whole lot of chanting to start. Great sport for Josh James! This one had lots of wild chops and slaps, and was a pretty good slugfest! Kidd gets the win after a good showing by James, the big man being put away by a Kidd piledriver. It would take “War Ready” two attempts though, with his knee buckling on the first. Kidd won, but James was the one who left under his own power, and Kidd appeared to respect him for his effort.

Oskar Leube vs. Mike D Vecchio ended in a double countout in 9:55

Absolutely wild big man clash from two monsters! Leube is a exciting big man and Vecchio impressed me greatly in my first exposure to him. The “Belgian War Machine” is absolutely massive, his shoulders are about as wide as he is tall, and the things he does despite such a superstar look were incredible. The speed with which both men hit the ropes was insane, and Vecchio hit flips and the like it was nothing. All his offense was off the chain, leaping halfway across the ring and chopping like he wanted to go through Leube. Despite a small slow period in the middle, this one was electric and it’s a shame it ended how it did. Both men obliged the fans though and kept fighting until RevPro officials tore them apart. I want to see these two go at it again.

Robbie X def. Aigle Blanc in 15:56

Cruiserweight clash! This one took a small amount of time to grow on me, but by the end this one was an awesome time. Just two great high-flyers giving it their all for the Southampton faithful. It was frenetic, it was fast, and it was a good time for all. A Canadian Destroyer followed by an X-Clamation get the win for Robbie X.

Luke Jacobs def. Shigehiro Irie in 13:12

One more match before the break and it’s a big one! The number one contender to the Undisputed British Heavyweight Championship takes on “Beast Mode”. This one didn’t quite live up to my loftiest of hopes, but it was a pretty good big man clash in the end. Lots of meaty chops, big power moves, and even a stark reminder from Irie to “never give up”! We were sure to “Get Shiggy with it” as we chanted, but Jacobs would get the win in the end by making Irie tap-out to the crossface. I guess sometimes you need to give up…

3.5 STARS OUT OF 5

With that, it was time for intermission. We took this one easy and eagerly awaited the second half.

Anthony Ogogo def. Sha Samuels in 11:17

The Guv’nor is here whether we like it or not to take on the East End Bookie. This was a decent match of beloved babyface against hated heel, but it all came to an end when Ogogo hit that devastating right hand. Bosh.

Ogogo got on the mic here to berate the crowd and laud over us all his accomplishments in RevPro, such as defeating RKJ and Samuels, as well as eliminating Oku from the Rumble. He wants the RevPro Undisputed British Heavyweight Championship, and tells Oku and his “Irish slag” Amira to listen up and give him the match. That’s not very nice. But Oku’s not at home! Here comes the champ, and he tells Ogogo to watch his mouth, reminding him that the last time he made a feud about nationality, he “accidentally made Cody Rhodes solve racism”. Huge pop for that one! Oku says if he wants a match he has it, and that they can do it right now. They brawl in the ring but a right hand knocks Oku out cold. Could the champion be in trouble?

Grizzled Young Veterans (Zack Gibson & James Drake) (c) def. Sunshine Machine (Chuck Mambo & TK Cooper) for the RevPro Undisputed British Tag Team Championships in 16:49

The new champs are here to take on the ever-popular Sunshine Machine! Some words are exchanged and once we made an acceptable amount of noise, the GYV decided to oblige us all and put the titles on the line! This was a good fun tag clash between two of the UK’s best teams. Mambo’s mastery of the ropes was on full display, as was the lethal speed of Drake and his flying dropkicks. It’s back and forth, with both teams looking to be victorious on occasions until Mambo is planted with a Doomsday Device and a double Ticket to Ride facebreaker for the win. Grit your teeth.

Post match, GYV offer a handshake which a frustrated Sunshine Machine weakly accept. They aren’t happy. Francesca heads into the ring to ask them what’s next for them. Mambo is still pretty out of it, so TK Cooper gives his answer. He sarcastically thanks Francesca for rubbing it in with her question, saying he hasn’t seen her do this anywhere else on the show. Another big pop in the promos here, we loved that. Cooper says they never win in Southampton (they have technically won 2 out of 7 here but shhhhh, one was an elimination 8-man tag though). He concludes they need to go back to the drawing board somewhat, and they take their leave.

Josh Alexander def. JJ Gale in 18:31

It’s the hometown boy versus the international star from Canada. Loud chants of “He’s one of our own” to kick things off. This was a pretty good clash between two top draw wrestlers. Gale gave his absolute all to put away the more experienced Alexander, hitting multiple dives and a whole bunch of his signature offense, but he’s never able to connect with that Gale Force. Alexander himself dishes out all sorts of punishment like rolling German suplexes, an ankle lock, and a powerbomb onto the knee, but Gale weathered through it all. When the straps come down and that brutal C4 Spike is hit by Alexander though, that’s all she wrote for Gale.

Final Thoughts After JJ Gale takes his moment main-eventing in his hometown, Francesca is here to say goodbye. We all join in to help along with the website name as the show comes to an end! Overall, it was a pretty fun show with some solid storyline advancement, and it maybe just needed a truly great match to reach the top tiers! Lovely stuff! I think for me this one has to be 3.5 STARS OUT OF 5 for me

some flyers @ blues thoughts...

i kept forgetting it was the blues pride night 🏳️‍🌈

they posted a cute vid of one of the three players i know (hah) taping his stick with pride tape on insta which i showed the kid but she only had eyes for the flyers yesterday and was like get this garbage out of my face. when the flyers wore pride tape she lost her mind bc that’s what she has

the arena graphics were cool and the lookalike thing was vaguely gay themed but didn’t have jerseys and otherwise didn’t seem to do anything? i’m disappointed. couldn’t they do a video message from a player saying everyone is welcome at blues hockey? something? our city is so gay and our logo is a music note like we could have had an awesome local artist design us really cool jerseys but of course the nhl has to be disappointing

they did light up the arena and the ferris wheel at union station (which may be unrelated i haven’t been down there at night in a minute) super gay which was nice

warmups are so worth it. its a little trying going that early with a kid and waiting around forever and then making it through the whole game but it is SO WORTH IT. i feel like especially at an away game... the players were so sweet and kiddo was so excited... her favorite part of every game we’ve done that for

provy smashed into the boards right in front of us and chilled a bit before noticing kiddo and the little one next to us. he smiled at her and showed her the puck and made sure i had my shit together before he tossed it over. i was super stoked the pucks from last night are pride themed! very cute! he gave little dude a puck too.

we saw tons of players up close... i think we were in a better spot this time! or maybe the flyers just move around more than the pens idk.

tk seemed to zoom around the most so i didn’t know if he would come over... he was also always the one to go get the pucks out of the net. apparently i have a type and its pretty boys with long hair who like to fish pucks out of the net...

he skated by us a zillion times and kiddo banged on the glass and hollered every time, but he finally was going a little slower and saw the sign she made with his name and number (she also had TK on one cheek and 11 on the other bc we love to be extra). he smiled SO BIG when he saw it. when i tell you this man could get me to do ANYTHING for that smile... oh jeez.

he kept skating and finished whatever he was doing but he skated right back around and came straight up to her to give her a puck. i don’t remember anything about this he’s too pretty i’m just proud of myself for catching it and not letting it bonk her on the head (y’all i could not be less sports inclined... the pressure of catching a puck for my child is A LOT to ask of me). he didn’t interact with anybody near us or give anybody else one that i saw...he just came right up to her to give it to her (his biggest fan)

i’ve never been on the opposite side of the benches and must say that watching the boys come out of the tunnel for the game is a whole moment. very cool. it was also fun to see the guys going on and off and watch them on the bench.

there were no flyers fans behind baby goalie and it took ALL OF MY RESTRAINT not to run over there and scream “we love you you’re doing great sweetie!!!” i was fully ready to get violent if anyone harassed him he brings out all of my mama bear tendencies.

tippy’s hair is so violently red... he took his helmet off on the bench for a bit and it was like a beacon i couldn’t look at anything else

You know his feelings, and he knows yours. That’s why you and Caduceus get along so well, despite life on the road. There’s always some sort of friction in the group, even though it’s quickly smoothed over and forgotten. Things like that, though, never happen between you and Caduceus - which is something the rest like to point out with thinly-veiled jealousy when they’re in a tuff with another of the group.

Just thinking about your frictionless relationship with Cad makes you smile. You know that he doesn’t really get the way other people fall in love, or lust depending on who it is, and sometimes that makes you sad. But not sad in a way that you’d want him to change - Gods no. You love him for the way he is, and you know he loves you for the way you are. It doesn’t stop you from thinking about another life, another place, though.

That’s mostly irrelevant. You’ll be the first to admit, when you first found Cad and he joined your merry band of adventurers, you’d harbored a rather large crush on him. That, originally, started your kindness campaign toward him. Selfish, yes, but you don’t regret it. It has made you the closest friend you’re sure you’ll have in your entire life. He’d kept mostly to himself before you reached out to him, being nicer and nicer until… Well, until he started to return the favors.

That’s what makes you two work so well together. Everyone else is resistant, honestly, to the way you want to be nice to them. You know they have their reasons, so you don’t push. Eventually they are kind to you and, though you don’t do it just so that others will be nice to you, it’s a warming feeling to know that you have some impact on the people you travel with.

Caduceus is the one that goes out of his way the most for you, though. He’s the one that will prepare your meal in the way that you prefer, but Caleb hates, and adjusts Caleb’s accordingly. He’s the one that will listen to you and Jester fawn over Oskar, even though he’s not interested in the romantic or sexual aspects of Tusk Love. He’s the one that will hear you having a nightmare and wrap his large, warm body around yours to comfort you in the middle of the night. He is your best friend, and you’re his. (After the Wildmother, of course. You’d never get between them. It’s so clear how fond he is of her, and how fond she is of him.)

But all of these things, the history the two of you share and how close you are compared to the rest of the Mighty Nein, are the reason Caduceus comes to you late at night, tears wetting the fur on his face. It’s late, and you were asleep, but your door is open to anyone in the Might Nein. Cad knows this, which is why you’re surprised that he is knocking.

“Caddy,” You reach for his hand and guide him into your room, “What’s wrong?” He doesn’t say anything, opting instead to drape himself over you in a warm, strong hug. You feel his breathing stutter and then pick back up, a telltale sign he’s been crying for some time. Your stomach drops like a stone, “Hey, let’s sit down on the bed, okay? And then we can talk if you want or we can just sit.” He lets you lead him to the bed, but as soon as he’s at, he curls up with his back towards you and shields himself as much as possible with his arms. It’s like he’s afraid of you, sobs returning to jostle his body on your bed.

You let him have his space, stepping back but reminding him that you’re here - for him, in the room, for the long haul. You can’t let Caduceus think he’s alone in whatever he’s going through, because he’s not. He’s not alone, never, not with you around. Your heart breaks as he whimpers and rolls over, reaching a hand out for you. There’s no hesitation in your mind when you crawl into bed and let Cad fold himself around you, holding you so tightly that you’re afraid that he’ll break. “Caddy, I need you to calm down,” You wrap your arms around his middle, scratching lightly at the fur on his back to try and comfort him.

“Am I broken?”

“What?”

“Am I broken?” And then he says your name, pleading and so filled with sorrow, that it chokes you up for a second. “I think I might be broken.”

“Caduceus Clay, you are not broken,” You whisper, voice shaking as you pull him impossibly closer, eyes cresting with tears as you look, unseeing, at the wall over his shoulder. He’s buried his face in the crook where your neck meets your jaw. “I don’t know why you would think that, but I know you are not.”

He sniffles. “Beau said…” But he cuts himself off, jaw snapping shut with an audible sound as he squeezes his arms around your waist. You can feel his hands shaking as they clench in your sleep clothes.

“Beau says a lot of shit,” You turn your head to nuzzle your nose against the back of his large ear, hoping to bring some sort of comfort to him. Whatever she said to him has gotten him more worked up than anything you’ve ever seen, “She says a lot of shit and sometimes she doesn’t mean it, and sometimes she doesn’t really get what she’s saying. She’s an empire kid, Caddy, they’re sheltered and unsure and kind of… Well, they’re assholes. Beau is not immune to Empire Kid Asshole Syndrome, just like Caleb isn’t.” He shudders, a fresh round of tears wetting your neck and the fur on his face. “Cad… Caddy, come on, what did she say?”

“We were in Jester’s room,” He begins, voice calm but small, “And she was talking about Tusk Love again. Nott asked a question - about, I don’t know, I think our first time, but I don’t… I’ve never…” You press a kiss against his fur when he begins to work himself up again. He sucks in a shaking breath, “And I told them, and the Beau asked why and… There’s not a reason, I don’t suppose.”

“There doesn’t have to be a reason,” You whisper, “But if you want a reason, the reason is that this is how you’ve chosen to live.”

Caduceus continues like he doesn’t hear you, “She said that there’s no point to having friends, to being so close to you, if nothing will come from it. She said that life is about love and sex and finding someone to share it all with. She said that I was leading you on. That you’re in love with me.”

You whine low in your throat and push on Cad’s shoulders so he’s looking at you. You want him to not only listen to what you’re about to say, but hear it. He looks so sad, ears pulled back and eyes glassy. “I am not in love with you, Caduceus Clay. I love you. There is a difference. Once, yes, I thought that I might have been able to fall in love with you, but I know how you feel. What you feel is real, do you understand?” You pause for him to respond, but he just looks at you. “You do not need love and sex to live life, okay? And love - you have so much of it. I love you. The Mighty Nein loves you. The Wildmother loves you. You have so much love in your life, and if that is enough for you then that’s enough for you. Nobody has any say in what you want from life except you.”

“Am I hurting you? By not being able to fall in love with you?”

“No,” You say firmly, “Your worth is not measured by your ability or desire to fall in love.” Cad shifts on the bed, and you pull him closer, settling your forehead against his, “I’ll talk to Beau in the morning, okay? She will apologize to you - either this is a misunderstanding, or she was being intentionally malicious, but there will be an apology.”

His eyes slip closed, and the sigh that follows shakes as it leaves his body. Some of the tension melts away and you let one of your hands move up his body - making sure he knows you’re aiming for his face - until your thumb can rub soft circles in his cheek. “Do you believe me?” You ask, voice soft as he begins to come down.

“What?”

“Do you believe that you’re not broken? That you just are who you are? That it’s okay?” You press your nose against his for a brief second. Just a moment of comforting intimacy, but you don’t press it. “Do you believe what I said?”

“I’m not sure,” He stutters a little bit, frown tugging slightly at his lips, “I think that I could come to believe it because you wouldn’t lie to me.”

“Never,” You promise in a strong voice, despite whispering to him, “I would never lie to you. I’m not lying to you.” You shift a little, twisting your legs with his long and lithe ones, “Let’s get some rest tonight, and I’ll set Beau straight in the morning, okay?” You know he’s already tipping off toward sleep, his body warming and becoming pliant in your arms. Caduceus only hums and nods, one of his ears twitching as your breath hits it when you chuckle. Tomorrow, you’ll bring your wrath down upon Beau - lightly, because you’re almost positive she didn’t mean what she said and probably phrased it horribly wrong. Tomorrow, you’ll set it straight with the rest of the Mighty Nein, too - that not wanting romantic love, or sexual things, does not make someone broken. You’ll educate them and, if you get any pushback, you’ll make sure they know that if Cad walks, you walk.

You’re sure he feels the same way.

U pointed out the flaws, continuity errors & retcons in the magic book of spells? But were there any in the Star and Marco's Guide to Mastering Every Dimension since it came after season 2 & befor seasons 3 & 4

i guess as the current star vs expert, it comes in handy that i bought basically almost all the merch for the series. XD I own the stump day edition as well (Even though that episode is not very good)

it’s not as bad AS the book of spells, that one has way more contradictions and has the flaw of feeling like you need to own it to understand a lot about s4. But it has a few tidbits were you can tell there were changes.

one of my favorites was when they mentioned tom’s parents, cause as anyone knows, i was REALLY invested in meeting tom’s parents at the time. And well, obviously at the time we were under the impression tom came from an abusive family with an anger demon father tom hated.

and this seems to be reflected in the book.

but uh.....yeah, obviously this was changed AFTER the book because we meet tom’s parents and they basically never acknowledge this ever again.

You’d think “The big guy”, would imply tom’s dad is some important figure but like, wrath gets more screentime and more significance in the series in their two appearances then tom’s dad.

outside of his feud with river, he doesn’t get to do much that matters.

so they basically didn’t really do much to jusitify what all that was about, not that they needed to. but i feel like if his dad was originally obviously going to be important, and they changed it, he should’ve done something to reflect that because this mention of him feels weird now.

also there is a map in the book.

the jaggs, spiderbite, musty mountains and even some of those spots in the underworld are confirmed to hold kingdoms. But like, none of them are on the map for some reason? I mean i’d claim they were only showing the significant kingdoms but most of these kingdoms are around for one or 2 episodes at most, and river’s old kingdom doesn’t matter at all.

not to mention there’s a lot of these locations we don’t see anyone.

star also mentions for jackie that jackie was born with the teal streak, which obviously is not true because we’ve seen baby jackie . But maybe you could round that up to star being star and hearing rumors. (Also Jackie shops from the salvation army of this universe and i hope they’re better then ours)

Also, omnitraxius was made to keep the universe from eating itself, which uh.....now that he’s dead.....

oh fun fact, celena had the power to disarm monsters which her beauty apparently? that isn’t in her chapter but it is mentioned in this book.

also there is mention of this accord , the mewman/monster one, which i don’t think is ever mentioned much but maybe i’m forgetting. But toffee broke it apparently or something.

it’s even mentioned ludo’s family and the septarians have a treaty, which also is not mentioned.

oh yeah, still bothered pony’s trans sister literally never showed up in the show.

actually in this book they mention star’s marks changing shape in s1 is like, a legit thing, but i don’t think it ever comes back after s1.

Tbh you could claim all of glossircks section is contradictory but star says all the information she has is probably not true anyway so yeah.

apparently the ponyheads have indoor plumbing,, but i mean, mewni not knowing what toilets are then having plumbing already was a problem already in the show.

Pony makes a reference to henious’s marks which actually i believe she never sees before this point, so either that’s a bit of a contradiction or i guess we’re assuming she saw them out of the corner of her eye.

she also doesn’t know ludo is a prince, but i guess depending on how smart you consider her that can both make sense or not make sense.

The stump day booklet and the mewman settlers are not the same ones we see in the s4 episode, there’s no resemblance  (they’re not pilgrims either for the record), though that can be chalked up to it being a kid’s book in universe and not remembering who these people looked like....there’s also like...20 of them in here compared to the four we saw.

you could argue the “Pic” they took of the stump day party also doesn’t make sense for the episode since that clearly doesn’t happen in canon. But tbh i think a bigger thing is the fact star has her wand XD Star didn’t actually have her wand in that episode.

star doesn’t remember skywynne made warnicorn stampede when the spellbook says it was basically the only chapter she really read for the queens.

Like i said, this book isn’t as bad, because tbh, it was made around the time were the continuity was a lot better, not perfect, but more consistent. 

it’s a guidebook, instead of lore it’s focus is more on fun activities and small interactions between characters that aren’t technically contradicted by the series.

Probably because a lot involve characters we barely see after this book, so we can’t claim these small moments didn’t happen.

But there are some issues here and there, not enough to really “Ruin” anything, they’re mostly minor compared to the WAY more confusing ones the BOS has, but they are there.

Bonus though: The comic series was intended to be canon to the series, taking place between s1 and 2.

a lot of it is kinda contridictory, like marco’s amount of hoodies, these random mud people monsters that like never come back besides the time travel thing, but tbh the biggest one that i point out.

marco is allergic to cats in it, which is a plot point in the last comic they printed with marco’s earth pals, but like, this is never mentioned in the series and marco is around cats quite a bit

and trust me im soooo far from judging you so no worries.! First you need to know that Krakow is amazing, beautiful and historic and Warsaw is a hole

So in Krakow. You def need to go to main square. Like its always the first place tourist visit and now wonder because its beautiful. And you have lots of stuff there. Practically every brick there is historic hahaha. But for touristy stuff i think my fav there has to be an underground museum. Its really impressive. 

Next of course Wawel Castle and our dragon and dragons den. I think its the coolest place in the city actually. Like cmooon not many cities have castles hahah and theres so many museums and stuff to see there so you can just go and pick what you like or you dont have to go really inside and just walk around there because its still amazing.

Then theres a whole Kazimierz district. VERY BEAUTIFUL. and very historic. Also it has lots of charming places to sit and eat.

Then theres  Oskar Schindler's Enamel Factory. I know its like THE museum to go here and all tourists always want to see it. And im not blaming them because it is impressive. And next to it you can find my fav museum in the city Mocak, its a museum of contemporary art. 

Ohh and you def have to go for a walk to a park thats around main square called Planty because soooooo pretty. Just buy yourself some ice cream and walk around.

Oh and next to Krakow theres a town called Wieliczka and you can find a Salt Mine there and its like a whole thing too... You go underground and there are like amazing things to see there, you hear lots of stories and legends and its all just magical

Oh and not that far from the city you can find Auschwitz. Not gonna lie its not a fun, light experience but oh so worth to see.

Now food and stuff. 

So it of course depends on what you want to eat but you def need to try pierogies. There are like 100380340 places around main square and kazimierz district that serve them and all of them are good. They have to be to stay in business.

If you want amazing pizza, theres a pizza place called ‘Cyklop’, its around main square also and its a famous place because they really do have the best pizza/

Ohhh you can also visting this place called ‘Dolne Mlyny’. Its like this whole complex with bars and restaurants and theres so many good stuff there

and if you want something interesting theres a place called ‘alcatraz’ and its a bar/restaurant thats made like a prison hahaha

ohhh and one of the best places to eat here is also place called ‘Kompania Kuflowa’ its near Wawel Castle.

and if you want bars well...theres so many bars everywhere and all of them are good hahah

lmao . it’s true. They 100% get married - can say that based on the movies XD. They even mention Will being gay as they interrupt the boy-boy proposal (aka: fake mileven proposal). And then only trip Mike over a rock. I talked about if forever ago but him being the only one physically hurt by the homophobic bullies (after a 2 boy proposal) was 100% supposed to hint that Mike was queer as well (and had feelings for Will) unlike the straight Lucas. Just like the “you said yes” line was supposed to subconsciously allude to marriage.  Before the rock scene/proposal,  people already said El looked like a boy and specifically Will. It really wasn’t that subtle. Mike’s feelings for Will and Will being gay... literally ‘interrupt’ the hetero fantasy of mileven getting married. We always see mike up front and in the center (the most offended by the homophobic comments)  either saying to ignore the homophobic remarks or getting angry and pushing troy (like how troy pushed him). Every time they mock Will for being gay- Mike’s reaction to the taunts were always the focus of the scenes. And it’s because he’s also gay!

BUT this is also a reference to “let the right one in”(on the s4 movie inspiration list).Oskar who was bullied (and un-athletic)  also lies about how he got injured by bullies saying  he ‘fell on a rock’. Oskar also falls in love with a boy.

It’s a love story of a boy (Oskar) falling for a supernaturally (se**ally abused boy with a p*do father). They do a pretty obvious parallel for it... with one of them comforting the other and then the camera zooming  and lingering on the shot  of their hands on top of each other.

They also use morse code to talk to eachother and are into rubix cubes (like Mike and Will in s2). They eventually leave the country together similar to MANY movies referencing Will. Mike and Will leave the country together and are happy (and def get married). Just like Mike said in s1 said “If anyone asks, tell them I left the country.”  Meaning they’ll be able to get married sooner. And I’m here for it.

The movies have so much more evidence for byler (than just this) it’s unreal... just trust me.

Lmao. So many people will lose it when it becomes clear Byler gets married.

On top of them being inspired by several engaged/married couples, there is movie hints they get married. Also ‘you said yes’ sounds like something said in reference to accepting a proposal. Let’s not forget that they in S1 had Lucas tease Mike for his ‘crush’ on El by proposing when he could have done something else. They did that for a reason. A fake Mike (Lucas) proposing to a fake El (Mike). Fits with El being a projection and them doing better Byler parallels. Not to mention that immediately after that Mike was tripped by homophobic bullies but not Lucas (who was the one ‘proposing’). Because only Mike is gay.

Lol just saying I wouldn’t be surprised if we got a proposal after a big time skip - I thought we might for a while and now it seems likely. Not happening any time soon, obviously. They are children. I’m not saying Mike would propose at 17/18. 😂😂 Not to mention they couldn’t get married for a while.

Same “kids on a epic quest against evil” vibes.

The Jumbies by Tracey Baptiste - Corinne has never believed in the tales of the jumbies, figuring they were something adults made up to scare kids at night. But after a close encounter in the forbidden part of the forest, a mysterious woman shows up and starts to affect their island. She has to convince her friends to help take down the evil and save their home. Creepy and with that classic “the kids see what the parents don’t” trope.

Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children by Ransom Riggs - Jacob grows up hearing fantastic stories of people with strange powers from his grandfather. When his grandfather dies suddenly, he finds himself on a journey to the remote Welsh village where he grew up and stumbles upon a place without time, full of strange and wonderful things, and stalked by an evil only he can see. This one has gr8 pictures, so def do a print or ebook if you can, even though I’m usually a big audio proponent. 

The Mysterious Benedict Society by Trenton Lee Stewart - After answering a strange and vague classified ad looking for gifted children, four kids find themselves in the house of the eccentric Mr. Benedict, who’s training them for a perilous undercover mission to bring down the Learning Institute for the Very Enlightened. Smart kids pitted against a sketchy government institution.

The Witch’s Boy by Kelly Barnhilll - After surviving a rafting accident that kills his more talented twin brother, Ned has been told his whole like that “the wrong boy lived.” Áine, daughter of the Bandit King, was warned by her mother that “the wrong boy” will save her life. Bone Gap by Laura Ruby - Roza was a beautiful outsider who was, against all odds, accepted by a small farming community when she stumbled into town, alone and frightened. AdultLet the Right One In by John Ajvide Lindqvist - Oskar has spent his life being bullied and mocked by his peers, but a new girl has moved in next door, a girl who seems ignorant of most things in the world, but is brilliant. Around the same time, a string of horrific murders start to rock their small town, and Oskar slowly starts to put the pieces together. This is a terrible description of a great book that has SO MUCH happening in it that it’s hard to describe well. I also recommend the original Swedish movie, which is awesome.

It by Stephen King - Yeah, okay, you probably guessed this one, but there are reasons everyone is making the comparison. Just read the first half, and skip the sex stuff.

The Boy Who Drew Monsters by Keith Donohue - After Jack nearly drowns, he begins to refuse to leave the house, staying inside and drawing terrible monsters. It’s three years later and Jack is ten and strange things are starting to happen, things that are connected to his drawings and what happened to him.

Something Wicked This Way Comes by Ray Bradbury - A strange carnival has come to town and it’s pulling in all of the townsfolk, regardless of age, with the ability to grant their true desires. But it’s not that simple, and there’s something dark at work that takes more than it gives. Two thirteen year old boys, Jim and Will, need to overcome their own fears and desires to defeat the evil within the carnival and save the town and themselves.

Meddling Kids by Edgar Cantero - I have to admit, I haven’t read this one yet, though I’ve been on the hold list for an age so hopefully I will soon. But it sounds like it fits–it’s billed as what happens to a group of teens like the Scooby gang twenty years later, when they’re all adults and have mostly left their mystery solving behind. Or mostly left it behind–something about that last mystery is still haunting them and brings them back to their hometown to try and put it to rest once and for all.

At night, he either pawns her off to the highest bidder for dirty work to get done, or he sends her into the fighting pits to compete for money. If she isn't travelling, she's at home in Rochester, NY.

Oskar was a renowned hunter, known for his skill in efficiently taking down creatures that posed immediate threats. He has Emily and focuses on being a dad in between hunting. Once she's old enough, Emily trains with Oskar to become a hunter as well. The two are a duo for many years following her official training with him, both becoming well known for their efficiency, professionalism, and good judgement both among hunters and creatures alike (for they only hunt creatures that are immediate or continuous threats). Oskar is killed by a vampire cove, leaving Emily on her own. After exacting revenge, she continues to hunt on her own.

Down the line and further into her career, a band of extremists/anti-gifted’s find out about Emily and Oskar’s secret. They kill Oskar, apprehended just before doing the same to Emily. Emily continues only to do her final match before retiring from boxing.

Emily is a magic-bearing individual, talented in self casting/wandless casting/projected magical abilities. Emily's mother left her and her father, Oskar, after swearing Emily was magically inclined. They find later in her life that she is, indeed, magic-bearing. Her magic proves volatile/powerful, though concentrated. Oskar teaches Emily what he can and what he knows about magic, his own magic, and what he suspects of her own magic. They later on seek professional guidance for her and her magic. Emily is instructed and taught to hone and control her abilities so that they are further focused, energy adjustable between spells/casts. Later in her life, Emily becomes an instructor herself, focusing on those like her who’ve had uncontrollable/powerful magic.

semi-under construction. Simple extension of canon-bio, sort of. Emily resided in one of the vaults after the nuclear events. Escaping her vault, Emily wanders the wastelands. She moves from settlement to settlement.

AU7. dragon age 1, 2, & 3 au 18 - 29 ; rogue ; companion

Emily’s story begins in the year Dragon 9:30.

Emily Brass lived in Redcliffe with her father when the first air of the blight was rumored. She could feel it in her bones, the changing in the air. Emily wanted to set out, to help make a change when she heard about the blight spreading from the Wilds and the trouble with demons at the Calenhad Circle Tower. Emily stays in Redcliffe, though, to help with the onslaught of undead surfacing in Redcliffe while the Arl lay ill in the castle.

It wasn't long until the last two Wardens (and their party, if any at that point) had shown up to Redcliffe. Emily insisted she join them as they head to the castle to aid the Arl. She wanted to put her blade where it counted, and that was there beside the Wardens. After more insistence, Emily joined and helped save Redcliffe. As the Warden and their party were leaving, Emily said goodbye to her father and joined them for the journey. The Blight was a threat to all, and she wanted to do her part in helping stop it if she could.

And so Emily goes. With the Warden and their party, Emily helps to stop the Blight. Once it is all said and done, Emily explains that she will go her own way to reunite with her father -- which has fled to Kirkwall -- in order to let him know about the end of the Blight. Emily promised to keep in touch.

In the year Dragon, 9:31, Emily goes to Kirkwall.

Emily lands in Kirkwall just as the Blight has ended, in frantic search for her father. She finds him in the middle of Kirkwall, already settled. Although things were just as haywire in Kirkwall as they had been in Fereldan, Emily does what she can for her father so he is comfortable and safe. They manage themselves well enough, Emily and her father working to maintain income. Emily as a Guard, her father as a blacksmith. Her father remarried shortly after Emily returned, meeting a lovely spinner in the market. She moves in, and they live this way, content, for about 3 years.

Then her step-mother receives a white lily.

Emily’s mother was the second victim of the white lily serial killer, sending her in a frenzy to find the killer. Her father was thrown into a depression, his health declining fast because of the heartbreak. Emily set off to do what she could to find this serial killer. This is when she meets Hawke, almost a year later. Both victims. Both in search.

Emily vows to aid Hawke, telling them of the loss of her own (step)mother. Not long after they put their efforts together do they find the killer and avenge both of their mothers-- Hawke’s in a far more terrifying state. Emily gives Hawke their time to grieve, to cope, and then visits them again a few days after. Emily offers her services and her friendship to Hawke, hearing much about their reputation as well as their companions. From there, Emily had stayed at Hawke’s side. She was there helping in the tensions with the Arishok, and with the madhouse that was Anders’ chantry stunt and Knight-Commander going Lyrium.

Things finally settle down for Kirkwall-- for most of the Free Marches as it is --and Emily decides it is time to say her goodbyes. She, nor her father, couldn’t stay in Kirkwall for her father’s sake. Still touched by his wife’s death, the city brought him heartache. Emily says her farewells to her friends in Kirkwall, though swears to pen often.

In the year Dragon, 9:40, Emily travels back to Ferelden.

Emily and her father make their home in the Hinterlands, off in a more remote countryside area so her father can farm and regain some sense of self control.

Emily knows of the civil war and internal turmoil happening in Thedas between Orlais and Fereldan. The Conclave was set to hold a court, The Divine herself there to speak of the treaty between the Mages and the Templars, addressing the status of Thedas as they knew it. Emily was on her way to attend. Thankfully, she was late.

Emily arrives at the Conclave just moments after the explosion, witnessing the Herald falling from the Fade herself. This is when Emily sets it on herself to help where she can. She helps take the unconscious Herald towards the camp where Lady Nightingale Leliana - an old friend - and Lady Cassandra Pentaghast are. From there, Emily spreads herself out with their ranks in order to fight off the demons pouring from the rifts as well as aiding any injured soldiers and survivors.

It is from there, after the Herald seals the first rift, that she joins Leliana and Cassandra, as well as the rest of their party, to become a part of the Inquisition. Emily introduces herself to the Herald, offering her services forward. Emily becomes a partner of the Herald’s, and then eventually the Inquisitor’s, playing a part there in the restoration and the protection of all of Thedas as it is.

Emily Brass is known as Agent Rottweiler of the Houndsmen, an underground intel operative within the United States tied to the -men agencies. Her father, Oskar Brass, was the previous holder of Rottweiler. At his death, he left the seat open for Emily to test for. Passing (with flying colors), she began her real training and field work as an underground intel operative, a dealer of varying information, gear, etc. to the -men agencies. The Houndsmen were the ones that went into the deep darks of intel for the -men agencies. The true neutrals.

Submitted for your approval, my I present Magical Boy, a somewhat lonesome mashup mix supposedly about finding an identity unique to yourself and seperate from those you follow. Or at least that’s what I was thinking of while I made it. Interpret it how you like.

Samples include Undertale, Beck, Jurassic Park, Cinderella, Tom and Jerry, Mozart, Samurai Jack, Die Antwoord and many more, though most of the samples have been chopped pretty heavily.

Though not my first time working in the time signatures 3/4 and 6/8, it is the first time I’ve been able to successfully blend the signatures into a mix that’s almost seamless.
