Everytime I see Newsies or hear the songs it makes me want to reread One More Year. It is my favorite Newsies fanfic. It's 1am and I just wanna read it but I have to be responsible and go to bed since I have work in the morning.

thinking about the things im gonna lose when i go to college is ten times more heartbreaking when i realized that there are no equivalents. there was just some specific FEELINGS of my high school life that can’t be matched because of who or what was involved.

i’ll take an english class in college. i’ll read new books, but i can never redo the feeling of getting handed giovannis room or persepolis for the first time because of WHO handed it to me.

ill dance in college, that’s for sure, but my dance teacher of eight years won’t be there. i won’t have silly shenanigans with my friends. i’ll make friends, but they won’t be THOSE friends.

my college will have spirit week, but i won’t ever go to school two hours early with my friends to decorate the hallway and sitting on the floor of our favorite history teachers classroom eating donuts.

it’s such an odd fucking feeling and i hate it. i fucking hate it.
