This weeks tastings:
Batch 1: Good! It's really good! I think there might be something to this whole pressure fermenting biz. I can't say these fall far behind last year's cider. I would be perfectly happy to keep drinking this without more aging. The bottles aren't fully carbonated yet, but it's getting there. Batch 2: Excellent. Like, really really good. It has such a sweetness to it. Batch 1 has a bit of that sweetness too, but I think this takes the cake. I think it's the best one so far. GOAT
Batch 4: Still very young. woof! had to have a little taste though, since I had the tap right there. It's done fermenting, but still has a long way to go. The youngness overpowered any personality or subtle tastes, so no idea how it is. Mead: It's definitely mead! Tastes like honey. I can't tell if it's changed much since last time. I think the taste might have become less honey-ish, less harsh. not that it was ever harsh, but it's taken some of the honey edge off. Maybe. I might be misremembering. It just taste like what fermented honey would taste like. Which is good.
