Laughing at people talking about hs:bc update schedules being delayed

Im not reading hs:bc, but i saw a few people talking about the pause and im just laughing, i found HS during 2011 before all the pauses, megapauses and gigapauses. let alone the evil pause between the final pages and the post credits.

Yes, there are fertility treatments that you can go through, here are some of the most common ones.

Treatment for alphas with uteruses can kickstart their hormones and help them get pregnant. Female alphas, for example, are the least likely of any potential baby-carrying person to get pregnant. This treatment introduces high-dose hormones that are normally found in omegas to the alpha's system. This is normally administered as a series of injections over 90 days, which would be one "cycle".

Treatment for impregnators to increase their sperm count/mobility. Users have the option of a topical cream that needs to be applied three times a day during a 120 day cycle, or as a once-a-week injectable over six months.

Ovulation triggers - this is a medication that can increase the span of ovulation to open up the window of time an individual could become pregnant. This comes as a set of pills that need to be taken daily, with a few placebos (like birth control). Best results occur when you've been on the medication for 3-6 months, and should be continued steadily until you become pregnant.

Egg health and maturation -a combination of pills and injections that should be administered twice a week for best results. This will help keep your eggs healthy while you are ovulating.

Implantation - normally a hormone shot, but can also be a topical/internal cream that helps the embryo embed into the uterine lining. This is something that should be used directly after copulation with your partner.

if you are close to going through menopause (aka pre-menopause), which can affect people from any dynamic as long as they have a uterus, getting a consult with a doctor is very important. They will prescribe you and possibly your partner some of this medication and may put you on additional hormone treatment to suspend the effects of menopause. How did I finish Homestuck? (I'm told that this roughly lines up with the "Homestuck Made This World Podcast" episodes, which is supposed to be spoiler conscious and pretty good if you're into critical readings, so if you don't have a reading group to keep you motivated or some people to read your liveblogging and engage with you, maybe try listening to it alongside listening to that.)

Also, it was quite good and eventually it would have sucked me into finishing it with or without the group. I think by Act 5 Act 2 or so, personally.

it is really funny tho that the gap between dream job and still alive (the longest hiatus between episodes. "were not dead guys! we prommy!") was just under 3 years. and now. it has been. 6 and a half years

YA's joining fandom nowadays like "our piece of media hasn't released any new content for a YEAR so the fandom is inactive and dead rn but once we get MORE content we'll thrive again lads! 🤗" and I don't mean to sound like a boomer but unlike these new young'ns we don't need our media of choice to be constantly releasing a stream of new content every year for us to engage in fandom, we'll keep talking about what we already have and making fan stuff with other dedicated fans for years

I remember being a homestuck during the gigapause, omegapause, and hellapause (?) lol. A year wait ain’t shit.

Plus there’s literally still spirk and mulder/scully shippers and those are literally from two of the oldest modern fandoms. People are still making art and fic of them. I’m personally active in a handful at least of fandoms that haven’t released new content for years and some that literally never will. Keeping fandoms alive is a matter of continuing to enjoy and express enjoyment with something.

A little Homestuck story in honour of 13th of April:

My mum has made a point to express interest in stuff my sister and I were passionate about, she listened to us ramble, sometimes looked things up to surprise us nicely that she already knew something, and in turn us her kids repaid in kind and got invested in her DnD and MMORPG adventures or this and that book, even though we weren't really getting it. So when I've gotten really into Homestuck (during the omegapause, which kinda sucked for me), she got to hear a lot.

During the pause Homestuck faded to being a casual interest, I quietly finished it as it concluded, read the Epilogues once they were complete, tried to and failed to enjoy Beyond Canon, the classic stuff. I've never really shelved it as an interest, but I didn't relaly talk about it much with anyone, maybe besides "Oh, you won't believe it, this happened in Homestuck too" as one does.

Until last summer mum saw me doing a pair of candy corn horns (in hope of attending a little con which I couldn't attend in the and) and she asked me: "So, that Homestuck, that was the thing, right? How did it end? I think you've mentioned it's ended, but you've never told me how it all turned out."

And boy was I unprepared for that question. Like a boomerang that returns when you turn your back to it.
