Regardless it soon ended up on the DPP video nasties list which#Was almost certainly because of the title alone; had anyone bothered to watch it‚ they'd have found this film to be much less graphic and#Offensive than the standard Italian cannibal film. Is that because the French are more subtle or refined? No it's almost certainly because#This was filmed on the fly for zero money on sets and locations borrowed from other films. An absolute shit show. Astonishingly bad. I cant#Even really... Imagine a film shot on left over film pieces (of different stocks! Scenes are visibly shot on different film types!) with a#Largely amateur cast and a tenuous grasp of plotting‚ editing‚ sfx‚ directing. And the main theme sounds suspiciously like a disco cut of#La Bamba. Also the plot is about a kidnapped child‚ except the child seemingly never notices she's been kidnapped. And then.. Cannibals.#Cannibals who‚ and this is the clincher‚ a significant number of whom are played by just... Some guys. Some white guys with nicely styled#Hair and prog rock sideburns. One of them has a tattoo. It's like an Atomic Rooster tribute act crashed their tour bus on the edge of a#National park and then went immediately feral. Confusingly the other characters refer to the tribesmen (and it does appear to be an#Entirely male tribe) as Indians. Is this... India? The location is never specified but I think the characters are (maybe??) meant to be#American? They cross a border at one point? Who knows! Who cares! I still kind of enjoyed this! And I'm truly troubled by that fact!

Cannibal Terror (original title: Terreur Cannibale) is a 1980 French-Spanish horror feature film directed by Alain Deruelle [as A.W.
