#Olivia tattoo

Hi Gina, hope you’re doing well.

I have been on and off out of the fandom last two years and (luckily) missed the insanity when it became known that Harry has a new tattoo that people assumed to be “Olivia”. Now, I just discovered this new tattoo like five minutes ago, and I did not see any definite conclusion that this has been debunked. I am a graphic designer that specializes in typography and I can assure you that it does not say Olivia, but “Olma”. I will look into the actual font at a later time, but knowing how these cursive fonts work, you can clearly see the “m”, as the lines have a round bend at the top, rather than it being more angular when it would be the “ivi”. (the “v” could have more of a round bend, but the “i” for sure would be angular) If you want, I can show some examples later.

Maybe this has been debunked already, dunno, but wanted to add my opinion into the void. Ignore this if not relevant!

Hi darling. I'm so sorry you had to stumble on that nonsense. It hasn't been officially debunked, but it certainly has been discussed A LOT, and the idea that it says Olma was one of the theories.

I think the main reason it hasn't been accepted as fact is that we can't figure out why he would choose to tattoo that word. But I was just looking up the town of Olma in Italy and look how many people live there. 🤣 You literally can't make this shit up.

Anyway, I really do think it says Olma and not Olivia. And I think the main reason we didn't see it until we did (after his tour ended and long after Holivia ended) was because it doesn't actually say Olivia. I still believe the theory that he agreed to a tattoo instead of something else she was pushing for that was more distasteful to him (maybe an engagement). And then he wormed around it by having it actually say Olma but waited until the stunt was long over, so he got away with it. The world thinks it says Olivia. But, as you say, if you look closely at the font, it really doesn't.

There are only so many posts about unstanning Harry for the “Olivia” tattoo (in between quotation marks cuz I won’t believe it till I see a HQ version of it, sorry not sorry) that I can take lol

So here are two things you’re all forgetting about:

1. he’s a MAAAAN, idc how much lgtbiq+ flags and treat people with kindness he throws around, at the end of the day he’s part of the male population of this planet 😀

am i the only one who doesn't see olivia 😬 i definitely don't see "via" in the end it's more like "na" to me especially considering it's cursive so in that case the tattoo says "olina" and it's a city in italy and that option makes much more sense lol

I appreciate the effort of everyone trying to be rational about this bullshit, but the thing for me is that I clearly see Olivia there, it could be Olives, it could be Olina, it could be Gemma’s dead cat Olivia… but like, c’mon. It’s the same as saying Louis’ E tattoo is for Edward and not Eleanor. The tattoo is there with an intention, he’s not stupid, he wouldn’t *accidentally* write something that looks like Olivia. I have no idea if he was supposed to show the tattoo earlier or whatever just happened there, but like I said before, I really don’t give a fuck because she’s gone. And it’s annoying because he knows how messy it is and how that would upset a lot of us, because OF COURSE he’s displaying his new(ish) tattoo wearing bluegreen and his Louie shirt, so like. It’s the same as always for me, both of them have been playing this game with us for a while now… and they’re going to keep doing it because it’s convenient for everyone.

I understand people are super upset over it, but I’m so done with all this stunt shit coming from all sides, so I just decided that I can’t give a fuck anymore, I’m enjoying the good parts they’re giving us and ignoring the rest otherwise I’d have to step back 🤷‍♀️

alright, here are my thoughts on Harry's new tattoo.

it almost certainly does say Olivia, there's not much of a question there. however, as many people are saying, it's not necessarily about Olivia Wilde. First of all, one of the one direction songs that he wrote is called Olivia. this is a popular theory running around right now.

but also, do you know how many people are named Olivia??

so fucking many. i kid you not, the other day i was at a meeting for a school function and the speaker said "you guys know Olivia?" and like ten people immediately asked "which one?" i go to a small school, no more than 90 per grade, and i know three Olivia's within my grade alone.

my point is, we're not privy to much of harry's personal life, and there could easily be someone named Olivia that he got a tattoo for that has nothing to do with romance.

Gina is there any consensus about the hideous Olivia tattoo? What does it mean or why would he do it? I remember someone saying it might have been an exchange (instead of an engagement, but why wouldn't they reveal it while they were together), also someone said H maybe gets stunt tattoos like "scars" (oui/non to Camille for example) and others insisting it doesn't actually reads Olivia.. do you have an opinion on it?

No consensus. I think the idea that his tattoos are like scars is very poetic, but it seems pretty far-fetched to me in terms of getting that giant tattoo.

Even if it doesn't really say Olivia, everyone thinks it says Olivia, so as far as the world is concerned, he has a giant "Olivia" tattoo on his upper thigh.

To me, the idea of it being some sort of deal to avoid something else that is even more unsavory seems the most likely scenario. As for why he wouldn't show it until they'd broken up? Maybe it's just that he legally only had to show it, but no distinction was made as to when. I can see him refusing to show it while they were "dating" because she would have made an even bigger deal out of it than was made by fans. Or maybe just to spite her because he seems petty like that.

We'll never know. But I hope he has it removed/covered up at some point.

It’s “matching” the Calazione tattoo, which is related to Italy and I really think the “Olivia” one is too. And remember how long people thought the other one said California?

AND if it was really a stunt tattoo it makes zero sense that we first saw it last summer and that the attention seeking OW hasn’t hinted at it before/yet. It would be the first time she didn’t use every opportunity for attention.

Mmm… I think that sounds like a lot of hopeful thinking. But I’d be happy if you were right. I’m still of the mind that it was meant to be seen earlier, but like many things over those two years, plans shifted. Her friend did post that photo of Olivia under the olive tree right after he debuted it, mocking fans, as usual.

But, it honestly doesn’t really matter at this point. The whole world thinks he got a tattoo in a very intimate place for her.

Hi! Did we ever got to know if Harry got the Colazione tattoo at the same time and font as the Olivia one? I was looking for something else in reddit and saw a thread about his tattoos and someone said Dr Woo probably did both but I don't know where they got that from besides putting evidence of Olivia getting her kids name tattooed there in 2021 and being cursive fonts.

Hi darling. No. The first time we noticed the Colazione tattoo was in May 2019 (when we thought it said California). Holivia didn’t start until DWD started filming in October 2020 (although they “debuted” the relationship in January 2021).

I don’t know exactly when he got the Olivia tattoo, but the first glimpse of it we got was during the filming of the AIW and Daylight music videos (although we didn’t notice it until he showed it off in full when tour ended more than a year later).

AIW was released in April 2022, we first saw pics of the filming of Daylight in May of 2022, so it would seem it got the tattoo at some point early in the spring of that year. Why he waited until July 2023 to reveal it (in the most obvious way possible) is beyond me.

I highly doubt Dr. Woo did both. I just don’t see any reason for Harry to have done that—especially when he got the first one long before he knew her and, personally, I don’t think they ever actually dated, so why go out of his way to go to a tattoo artist who did some tattoos for her? Also, a cursive font tattoo is something almost anyone can do.

I was curious about if there's even an Olma in Italy. According to Google, there is, but it looks to be pretty far east of Lake Como. I attached a couple of photos of where it's at.

Idk. I think the tattoo looks like it says Olma or Olina, but at the end of the day, it doesn't really matter what we think as larries when the gp and the majority of hets think it says Olivia. It's not like we're going to change anyone's minds. And if it doesn't say Olivia, it obviously didn't bother H enough to have his team correct the narrative to the media. Maybe he didn't want the leech to go even more psycho if he made it clear the tattoo is in no way for her. Just grosses me out that she's forever tied to him, tattoo or not.

Yeah, I saw that. It’s also close to Modena and Reggio Emilia, both places Harry has been. But, as you say, it really doesn’t matter what it actually says because it was intended for people to believe it says Olivia.
