Winners of annual contest for PR services of Gazprom’s subsidiaries announced

The winners of the 8th Corporate Contest for the PR services of Gazprom’s subsidiaries were awarded today at the Company’s office in Moscow. The jury assessed the contestants’ performance in 2016.
Contest winners
The main prize in the Charity Project category was awarded to the Warmth of Our Hearts project by Gazprom Transgaz Ukhta. In the course of the project, the company’s employees provided support to elderly people in need of care and attention at integrated social services centers. Students of company-sponsored children’s institutions and young employees of Gazprom Transgaz Ukhta took part in the initiative.

Gazprom Tsentrremont’s Cosmic Weekend won in the Project for Children category. Organized jointly with the Multi-Child Family Association of the Moscow Region (MNOGO NAS), the recreational project was aimed at families with three or more children.

Gazprom Transgaz Samara’s Coloring the World project took the first place in the Low-Budget Social Project category. The project hinges on a simple principle: ‘If you want to make the world a better place, go for it.’ The project participants painted the walls of seven childcare centers in the Samara Region with original artwork. The initiative cost zero rubles.

Gazprom Transgaz Stavropol’s Cognoscenti project came out on top in the Year of Occupational Safety Project category. The project was meant to highlight the paramount importance of human life and health. A safety-themed intellectual competition was held among the company’s employees.

Gazprom Transgaz Yugorsk’s museum was acknowledged as the best corporate museum.

The highest award in the Combating Non-Payments category went to Gazprom Mezhregiongaz Vologda for its publicity efforts aimed at reducing TGC-2’ arrears to Gazprom in the Vologda Region. The amount of repaid debt totaled RUB 263 million in 2016.

The Trassa newspaper of Gazprom Transgaz Yekaterinburg was named the best corporate print media outlet in 2016. According to the jury, it was the most informative publication in the line-up.

Gazprom Dobycha Urengoy’s Popular Science Videos about Gas and Gas Condensate Production won in the Best Corporate Film category. The project was praised for its gripping and vivid presentation of the subject.

Gazprom Transgaz Stavropol took the trophy for best website among Gazprom’s subsidiaries in 2016. The website was singled out for its user-friendliness and up-to-date reporting.

The Grand Prix for social achievements from Alexey Miller, Chairman of the Gazprom Management Committee, went to Gazprom Transgaz Moscow for its great efforts in tracing and perpetuating the memory of fallen warriors as part of the Memory Watch International Military-Patriotic Campaign.

Background
The Corporate Contest for the PR services of Gazprom’s subsidiaries has been held since 2009. The Contest is aimed at improving the quality of corporate print media and stimulating the creativity and initiative of PR specialists at subsidiaries.
Contest winners are determined by a jury composed of independent experts: journalists, publishers, PR specialists, and employees of Gazprom Magazine and the Company’s Department in charge of Gazprom’s information policy.
